They were very busy, and didnt have the tire I needed, but they still took the time to put my donut on and didnt even charge me. I was able to get back to my job within half an hour and I very much appreciate it.

We were in town for a basketball tournament when my wifes Acadia broke down on a Sunday afternoon. The staff at the family run Midas was very polite and started working on the car immediately. Within a few minutes they diagnosed the issue and less than 30 minutes later they already had parts on site and were starting to make the repair. The manager was very understanding of our situation, being from out of town and no rental car stores open. He didnt charge their emergency rate and even waived some typical shop fees. If I lived close by, Id definitely use them as my mechanic for all my cars.

They were kind, courteous, and efficient fixing my lights and I got done within the hour.

Went for an oil change and tire rotation and none of the tire were rotated. After leaving I noticed the next morning one of my tires was low on air. Well come to find out that one tire was at 28psi while the others were at 29 psi. My tires only had 10000 miles on them. I will never use Midas in Winter Haven again.

I needed my brakes fixed, however, that was never accomplished because I sat in the waiting room, for over 20 min. Before even being acknowledged. I could clearly see the employees in the garage horse playing around. And 1 of them playing on his phone for ten minutes. While a lady next to me, told me her suv was on the lift and had been waiting over 3 hours, but was told it was a 45 min. Job. When the manager came into the office I asked about my brakes being done, and he replied with depends on whats wrong with them, and how long its gonna take, you can take a seat, and well try to fit you in. I decided to just leave. As Im getting in my car, the lady came outside and asked to use my phone to call her husband to pick her up, because she was told they wouldnt be able to get her vehicle done that day.

I want there today and the lady at the front desk was so rude and disrespectful that I turned around and left and did not even have my services done I cant believe that somebody that works there at such a wonderful place can be so nasty

0/10 would not recommend.Our service here started out good. We went to get our brakes checked which we knew we needed pads at the least. We were told we needed front pads, rotors and 1 caliper. We were quoted over $800.This was far more than we could spend at the time so my husband stepped out and called Mavis to get a price for the same job. They quoted him just over $500. He went back inside, told them he was quoted less at Mavis and was going to go there Instead. The manger told him to hold on, and ultimately cut the cost in half and quoted him $423. Great. We said let’s do it.The day after this job was done I drove it myself for the first time since the pads and rotors were replaced. I instantly just felt like something wasn’t right. Then I heard the brakes were squeaking. Surely we didn’t just spend over $400 for new brakes that literally sound like we need new brakes..To try and make a long story shorter - I called back and explained the issue. Was told to come back and have them take a look. My husband went back. They checked, said everything is fine. He left. Brakes were still squeaking. I gave it about a week in hopes of the squeaking stopping all in the meanwhile still feeling like something wasn’t right. I called back a week later and explained the issue was still happening. Derrick told me exactly this ‘’The pads are cheap, made in China. People have this problem everywhere. There’s nothing we can do.’’ He said we can come back again but that ‘there’s nothing’ they can do. So why would I go back there again?Not to mention that the last time my husband went back to have them check what was going on, they left black grease marks all inside of our vehicle on the ceiling - the fabric part of the ceiling. The inside door. And the visor. Total disregard for someone else’s property. If I saw the option here to add photos I would gladly provide those.After doing some research we were advised to go to a different Midas location to have them check what the issue was. We did just that (2.5 weeks after our visit at this location), and what do you know - something WAS wrong and THIS location kept brushing us off and acted as if the parts were cheap and we were just screwed with them.Here is exactly what the findings were:‘’ Found right front brake hardware broken outboard side and hardware MISSING right front inboard side and NO BRAKE LUBE on contact points ‘’They replaced the pads and guess what - the squeaking has stopped and the brakes feel noticeably better, as they should.Over $400 were originally spent for a half done subpar job which required a visit back with nothing done (except for making a mess inside my vehicle), calling back again and being told there’s nothing they can do, and finally going elsewhere to have the job done the right way.Needless to say - don’t go here for brakes.

Darrel and his crew are great . Had to have major brake work done, had a issue with new pads sqealing called Darrell and he said bring it back and we will make sure its right they changed out pads and even the front brake hoses all at his expense . Car stops great no noises these guys are awesome and they will be seeing me again . I am a retired ASE certified mechanic and will not hesitate to let these guys work on my vehicle again

Dont ever get ur oil changed at midas

From what I thought, this shop was in a seemingly indomitable position, but a clean up crew is needed for the mess over there, before the company goes bust. From what I read in all their reviews, the name Midas is going to run synonymous with Enron. Terrible management, Its a sad situation to see rookie business owners lacking the know-how to run a shop.

I was in the store for the third time today 3/3/0/2020. They couldnt get the steering wheel straight until the third try. Frank was insulted by me asking him to get the wheel straight. He said what now youre telling me how to do my job? Well yes Frank I am. My ASE mechanics certificate number is ASE-5635-3568. Are you a certified mechanic? And yes I do realize the caster is outta spec on the left. This is where the art of the trade comes in. Being an expert is not to just set toe in/out by the book, but to understand what it takes to set the wheel straight in spite of it. Understand your craft, dont just recite what the books. And drop the ego. Youll be surprised what you can learn from others.... even the customer you never expected to know so much....I dont have a rack at my shop because I cant use it enough to pay for it. We have a fleet of cars and our own repair shop. We have everything, a lift, air power, tire machine, except a rack. Was hoping for more expertise than what I got at this shop. Sadly it functions like corporate car care, not experts practicing their craft. I miss the guys who used to run the Chevrolet body shop. It was a father daughter combination. Find a mom and pop shop people. Theyre practicing their craft.

Walking into Midas in Winter Haven is like going to a shop owned by a family member. I took my car here for the first time because my car was overdue for an oil change and an alignment. Since it had been sometime since my car had been properly serviced, I knew it would likely need additional repairs and I was understandably nervous. I hate to say it but as a woman I was concerned I would have a fast one pulled on me. I had nothing to worry about with this shop. Repairs were in fact needed but I felt confident throughout the process that I was in good hands. Darrel (and later on Frank) took the time to bring me into the shop and show me where the wear and tear was while my car was still lifted in the air. They were forthcoming (without being asked) about repairs that could wait (based on the wear of certain parts) and provided detailed answers to my questions. And they were very encouraging when I asked to Facetime a friend so they could see what I was seeing. They take time to research affordable parts and have people on staff to drive all over the state to get parts if they’re not available locally. There’s also no down time at this shop and there is really good communication between the staff. The mechanics are working non stop to ensure that customers are in and out in a timely manner and the customer is consistently updated on what is happening with their vehicle. I also really appreciated that although you can make an appointment, I’ve never found that I needed one. Their waiting room and bathroom are nice, clean, and well air conditioned. There is bottled water for free and a TV to watch while you wait. Darrel, as well as Frank, do a good job chatting with customers. Overall, a very pleasant experience and I can happily say that I had no problems with my car even after driving is 1,300 miles north from Florida to Maine.

The brake switch worked until I got there after I left my brake lights were on until I got home and put it back together the nut was missing and the spacer was still on the floor board. I was able to put it back together. They tried to diagnose it and offered to fix it for hundred dollars. Um no thank you

Ever since the owners changed the service has been amazing! I bring and trust my two cars here and recommend all doing the same. The waiting area is always clean and comfortable. Just sit back, watch some TV while waiting for the car and that has never been for to long. Staff is courteous and explains everything in easy terms with no pressure. Amazing service and love the little car computer mouse they have. A+

My little Ford Fiesta suddenly had a “Transmission Malfunction” warning come up along with the usual dash warning lights. My husband and I were dreading taking it in because fixing transmissions can be so expensive!The manager(we think he may be the owner also) went above and beyond for us. He found out the problem with my car was under a recall, so he contacted Ford to work out something on our behalf. He then took precious time out of his day to have a mechanic who works for him tow my car to a Ford Dealership in Bartow.We were kept updated the whole time my car was in the shop. It did take a few days longer to be done than everyone had estimated, which was fine because we were told everything that was going on as soon as the guys at Midas knew as they were the ones who dealt with the Bartow Ford dealership for us.When my car was fixed and ready to come home, the manager/owner himself drove to Bartow and towed my car back to their show here in Winter Haven. I picked it up this morning. I’m so happy to have my car back.Winter Haven Midas has been a dream to work with. They don’t play games or inflate the price of parts or labor. They charge fair, competitively low fees. Everyone my husband and I have come in contact with has been polite, pleasant, helpful. They mind social distancing and were wearing masks also. Great auto shop to work with!

Very disappointed in this store. My husband and I have previously taken our cars here for oil changes with no problems. On Friday we took both our cars in to get the ac fixed. They replaced the compressor in my car and the evaporator in his. Next day comes and both cars are done. They said the evaporator has been fixed on his and all is well. Then they say the compressor is fixed in mine but there is no power going to it. My ac was fixed but because they didn’t change the settings in the car the compressor was never engaged. My car now has ac but how does a repair shop not know about the internal ac settings? Anyways, my husband’s car engine ended up going bad within 12 hours of leaving the shop. It worked fine minus the ac when we brought it there. One hell of a coincidence. The shop won’t take responsibility and now my husband and I are down to one car. We both have jobs and have a 6 month old baby. I will never be back here. 0 stars.

Midas is a good name! Because their customer service is GOLD! They are now under new management. As soon as I got there I was treated professionally. They were concerned about me spending my day waiting on my car to be ready. My phone died so I was offered a charger to beat boredom. I was offered a car to perform my needs, As soon as it was brought back. I said I would wait for it no problem. After 15 min the car did not return, One of the employees offered me their car!!!! I could not take his car. He offered a ride to my house. He drove me to my house, I was called saying it was done after I returned that same employee helped me get my kids car seats off the car they were fixing and seat belt it to the car. He struggled but he did it! Just Amazing! They are people who appreciate their customers and care about the commodities of them. Would definitely return for all my car needs!

Just ok. Seem honest enough. However, they use the cheapest parts to get the job done and up the labor costs. $450 for 1 ignition coil change amd spark plugs seems excessive to me. Basically a tune up.

This place is amazing! For an auto repair shop, its pretty big. Lots of parking space. Super clean and friendly environment. They can service close to a dozen cars at the same time. Complete auto care, from oil changes, breaks, alignment, etc. Not to mention free brew your own fresh coffee. Watch TV while you wait. Highly recommend. I had a great experience the short time I was there.

I checked for a set of tires at several locations and I got the tires here for a $180 difference than the tire choice which is only two block from Midas. The tire choice price was$650, and Midas was super cheap with 50k warranty with the best price anywhere at $672.57 walk out the door price.

Called to get a quote on a 4 tires gave me a price of almost $1700 for 4 cooper at3 4s 275/60r20 call tire king down the road quoted me a price of less than 1100 couldn’t believe the quote at Midas would never trust them you guys made it personal when you tried to rip me off for almost 600 bucks was going to use you guys for a complete brake job but you lost my trust on my phone call about tire prices What goes around comes around take my advice and don’t come around them

Went to Midas because my low tire pressure light came on. They spent over an hour with all four tires trying to find something, but couldnt. I was impressed with all the time they spent and thought at first this was a great place. Also had oil change and tire rotation. Nothing mentioned about tires or brakes. Everything seemed fine. Then, a few weeks later woke up to a flat and went to a closer service station. Was told all four tires had dry rot and should be replaced. While doing that, found the front brakes had only 5% of pad left. I was shown by the mechanic these things, and believe them to be true. Dont think that could have happened in a few weeks and wonder why Midas didnt notice anything when they did the tire rotation and checking for leaks in the four tires???? Makes me nervous to go back to them, wonder what else they wouldnt bother telling me about.

I left this place feeling a satisfaction of being treated fairly. I’ve gone to many auto repair shops and being a girl I’ve always felt like I didn’t get the best deal since I don’t know anything about a car but the crew at this Midas will actually take the time to show you what’s wrong with your car and they were not pushy about getting the repair done at all. In fact they even encouraged me to shop around to see if I can find any lower price and that they would be able to match that but I didn’t because they really care to help you and get you on your way. They even helped me get financing with no ineterest for a few months to help me get my repair done. This midas is heaven sent!!

This place is under new management as of December 2018. You can get any amount of professional services done for rates you wont see anywhere else. The thing I like about them the most is their comprehensive inspections. They top off any fluids you need with an oil change (my car dealership liked to pretend they did the inspection and fluids) and let you know in detail if anything is wrong with your vehicle and will provide you with an estimate for it.

I came here Monday regarding my HHR AC. I was told it’s going to be 1400 to fix it. I went to another garage the said 200 to fix and it all it needed was freon. I do not appreciate my electrical being unplugged and i’m thinking the worse possible. These mechanics lie and take advantage of their customers. I will not return back. Frank at the front desk was very helpful in this process.

I went to this location for an oil change. Within a month of the oil change, my oil was completely gone. I brought it back up there and they were confused as to why but willing to give me a new oil change free of charge & assured me that I had no leaks etc.. In just a day, my oil was leaking again out of my car. So I brought it to the dealership to find out whats really going on. Come to find out, Midas replaced my oil filter incorrectly which caused all of the issues and had oil leaking over everything. I will never be back to this location again. The management needs to make sure the people working on their customers vehicles know what they are doing.I am very dissatisfied and will never in my life come back to this location for oil changes.

Everyone else shop wise diags simple things around here like an AC for free. I came for an alignment waited 2 hours to be told they couldnt do it for me lost money knowing I told them I was on my lunch break. Tried to have them recharge my AC at least something failed at that charged me 69.99 for doing absolutely nothing this is a prime example of getting robbed I would not recommend Midas for anyone I came because I thought based off their alignment price they would be fair for other work as well I was clearly sorely mistaken.

I took my 2012 VW there having a light coming on and had it diagnosed prior to Midas. This cooling censor did not require invasive work having read and watched YouTube to verify. Junior the General manager quoted me a price of 392.00 excluding the cost of the sensor. He told me it required taking apart the AC unit. I told him this was not necessary having knowledge and done research. I declined to have the work done and had McGee auto to the job for 89.00 dollars with part included. This is a vast disparity of honest people and dishonest people at Midas of Winter Haven. Beware of Midas in Winter Haven especially the GM Junior.

Great place to go got my control arm bushings, alignment, and two new tires for a great price great owner and the best customer service I’ve ever seen in winter Haven would recommend to anyone!
