Went in on a Friday afternoon looking for a specific car. Sales person greeted me promptly and pulled up the specific vehicles they had available. Financed through the dealer. Very painless experience. Wouldnt hesitate to go back.
Quick and painless, I did almost everything online or by phone and it took maybe an hour total. After that, the car was delivered and I did a quick test drive, signed some papers, and it was all done! The only downside is that they dont provide maintenance records, but there is a 7 day buyback period (use this time to get your mechanic to check it thoroughly). I will likely buy from here again in the future, its a breath of fresh air compared to sitting at the dealership all day.

Have had a good experience buying from hertz car rental before. Nathan was excellent.However, this time, Mark (the manager) lied to me about availability of a car.When I found out that the car was actually available, and called him to schedule a test drive, he said who told you car wasnt available?,it is available. Then very rudely, he added, We will give you a test drive only if you are 90% sure you want to buy the car and then hung up on me. I called again and then he wouldnt take my call.Well, why would I test drive a vehicle if I dont want to buy it? Wasted an appointment for a test drive, lied about availability, and wasted an hour of my time.I understand you guys are busy, but you should respect others time. Horrible conduct as a manager.
So I visited them three weeks ago and purchased my car from them. I must say I got a great deal. The car was below Kelly blue book. Which was amazing. Now Ill be honest, I was apprehensive at first to buy a rental car. But after reading up on them and going and seeing it and driving it, my doubts were gone. The entire staff was helpful and Drew especially was awesome! I would definitely recommend buying from here.
I’m very disappointed in this company. After inquiring about 2 cars I received a call back telling me that they were both sold, was told to call back with lot numbers for others that I’m interested in, called back, salesman was on phone so they said he would get back with me. A week later and several other email inquiries later still nothing. Called again and spoke to a different salesman who treated me like I was bothering him. Terrible communication and customer service. Not only did they not communicate they ran hard inquiries on my credit FOUR different times! Thanks for destroying my score, you have lost me as a potential customer and I will be spreading the word.

I bought a Ford Focus 2017 Hatchback very recently from them through Hertz rent2buy program. The experience was excellent. One day before my test drive, I received several phone calls with updated status about the car which I had reserved. On the day of pick up, the car was ready when I arrived, in good shape and clean appearance, both inside and outside. I was quite happy to have the three day test drive, during which a mechanical check could be done, showing that the car is in decent condition. I am very satisfied with the car now and appreciate the help of the staff there, especially Mark.
BAIT&SWITCH SCAM!Told cars listed online 4 sale are not for sale. Then tried to pressure me to switch to a high priced vehicle on the lot. Even when sales rep calls you to see if your interested in buying THAT car. Told cars that had pictures are the ONLY ones for sale. No wonder their going bankrupt. Told every email was a canned response not from a real person. Obviously not the truth classic BAIT&SWITCH
Corey was great to work with, sent me extra pics I requested since I was driving from 3 hours away and was very quick with communicating and replying, that goes a long way with me. Anthony in finance and the Sales Mgr were great also! Very patient with us as I had trouble updating sync on site in the car (of course it updated fine for me later when we got home with it). Thanks guys!
Jordan and Anthony were awesome. The other manager was cool too, I just forgot his name. The building is a relaxed but professional environment, normally I hate walking into any type of car dealership. Bought a great car, and purchased an extended warranty so I do not need to worry about anything for the next 5 years. And the extended warranty company they use is a good one so I will just be able to take my car right into a Chevy dealership if I have issues. My credit is not good, so they asked me questions and found something doable for my needs. The car is newer and nicer than I thought I would be able to afford monthly.

Excellent experience -- we purchased a car there 2 years ago and when we needed to replace our second car, we went right back to this location and had the same great experience. No pressure. No hidden fees. It truly is what is advertised. The best part is that they have lots of different makes/models all on one site, making comparisons easy to do. We purchased both of our cars with Jordan -- she is great to work with and we highly recommend her.
Definitely do not buy from here. My salesperson was really nice, but they never called the loan company to be able to deposit the check I gave them until after it expired and now are refusing to match the same APR as the loan I had before, so I have to get a loan (and have my credit score go down again from them checking it) with a 3.59% more APR than I had before. This is car is costing me $1,618 more than it wouldve before because they didnt listen for the 3 months that I was calling and telling them they need to call the loan company. Very unhappy with the customer service I have received and the situation.

The location, the car lot, the office, is no frills, nothing fancy. Money spent on making a brand name dealership look appealing has to be part of what you pay for with a car purchase. Ive checked! The same exact car at Hertz is $3,000 less than a dealership!!
Had a wonderful buying experience here! I was treated with a great deal of kindness. All their cars are well maintained and kept very clean. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I left with a car that I absolutely love and would have never had the opportunity to have that amount of quality within my budget otherwise.
Jordan is awesome, we went down there in horrible traffic and found the car we wanted very much, unfortunately we found that vehicle didnt tow as well as we wanted, but the deal we got, even received a veterans discount, without asking, but in talking with us she heard we were veterans (my Dad, sister and myself). Great car, great service. Ive always heard that you dont want to buy a used rental car because people beat them up. My wife found a few really good deals, within our price range and the mileage we were looking for on their website so we decided to look into it. We purchased a vehicle that was less than 2 years old, way under 50,000 mile for less than $10,000. Before buying the car I took it to a local auto mechanic and the only issue was that the brakes would need to be replaced soon. Nathan, our salesman was very friendly and helpful. He made the process very easy and would always follow up with us right away via phone or e-mail. They did offer a couple of up sells but as soon as we said no thanks, that was it. Very low pressure, friendly staff and manager. I will probably always look into a used rental before an actual dealership when Im in the market for a new vehicle from now on.

I went there for rent2buy & decided to buy the car. I ended up waiting for 4 hours with completely horrible experience. Noone there to tell you the whole process of buying. After signing all documents, they handed me one key, when I asked for 2nd key, I heard excuses & when I asked why it wasnt mentioned before, I just heard useless arguments . I will never ever recommend someone buying car from them as they treat you like a beggar on street even if you buy 30k car with them.
If you’re looking for a new used car this is your place. Mark was amazing and treated me with respect the entire time instead of the usual “she’s a girl let’s talk down to her” routine that is common in the car business. I felt like the prices were more than fair and the trade in process was pretty smooth. I would make an appointment because they seemed pretty busy and that way you’re guaranteed good service instead of having to wait around for one of the sales people to help you out.

March 1, 2019- So Hertz and the Sales Manager from Woodhaven emailed to me within one day of adding my review below and apologized. I was told they are looking into the matter. Since then, no communication. I am back to square 1.Feb 21, 2019-I purchased a car from them with an extended warranty. The car got totaled in an accident, I repaid the loan and submitted the required documents for Warranty cancellation. Now I have made many calls for last three months, they do not want to talk to me. And of course, I have not receive the cheque. Not to mention here that the loan interest was extremely high. Yes, they are shady.

Dont be misguided by its name, Hertz, a number one rent car company. They just sell a car as is. I mean whether a car has a problem or not, they just sell it as is like many other used-car dealers. Only a thing different is their price is fixed. If you have a chance to look at a list of their cars, you would see some price difference between similar cars. In my case, it was because my car had several issues which I failed to figure out at that time. If you are an expert that can diagnose a used car well, I would say go with them. But if not, keep in mind this. They just sell what they have. Maybe they would say they have a standard and if a car fails to meet that, they would not sell it. Maybe thats true. But I dont think their standard is high. Good luck.
If you dont buy off the lot you dont/ cannot get a certified car. Dont understand, coming from same place same price tag??!! Watch the order desk.

I will never ever buy a car from here and will not suggest anyone to buy car from here. they are very good in selling BS...i bought car and get extended warranty and Matt told me that you can cancel warranty anytime just give us a call and the process will take 4 to 6 weeks max...Its been 2 months and i am still waiting for answer. when ever i call them i got lame answer that they are busy and there are alot of customer so we will give you a call back..they never call me back and if by chance after calling like 4 to 5 times a day I still get that answer that they are in process...so when u sell warranty it will take 4 to six months to cancel and when customer like to cancel warranty it will take them forever

This is my second purchase from Hertz Car Sales in Woodhaven. Jordan, was my sales person, and made everything easy. I explained what I could and couldn’t do no pressure at all. She made it happen. I was in the dealer from the appraisal of my car, to driving out with the new purchase, in about an hour. Want to say Thank you again.

I bought a car from this location and had a concern the following day. When I called, the sales person pretended not to know who I was or what I was talking about. When I said I wouldnt be able to recommend their services after my experience, he said there was nothing he could do about that. Do not shop here.
Alright so i would of rated higher until i finished my paper work, they detailed the car and I seen the roof. It was covered with snow so i didnt see it before the paperwork but it was a huge scratch from one end to the other chipping. When I showed the salesman he told me if i have a friend to just paint it should not be a big deal. I just spent over 12,000 dollars so i can avoid having to do things like that. Now they will respond with sorry blah blah blah and put an email for show, but lets be honest there not going to fix this. I was also told there are no aftermarket parts, on my ride home I noticed my driver side view mirror was kind of blurry, also did not have the Objects are closer then they appear on the mirror like the passenger side did. Honestly I feel like they just got me and thats not a nice feeling. Do your research and inspect the car in full if you do decide to go through these guys.
One could easily re-write John Mellencamp’s Hit Single as Hertz So Good! When you buy a car from the Crew up at Hertz Car Sales Detroit (Woodhaven). I’ve NEVER found buying a car from Alex(with cameo’s by Corey, Mike, & Matt) to help the TEAMWORK. What took a 3 day process (all that lay on my wife & me) actually could have taken 1 afternoon. They have financing on site...& if my Credit Union has been local...we quite possibly had it done in 24 hours!So not only are they quick, they are NO PRESSURE SALESMEN (& Ladies).... the pricing is no haggling bare bones great prices!! The inventory is no later than 3 years & 45k miles...so the cars are great cars...did I mention the prices were great? So ya got 2/3 things a salesperson needs to succeed....the 3rd thing...something basic...the desire to make a living....!Now add in A Great Boss they have there. He’s quite in his leadership, but like a seasoned beat cop...even if his head doesn’t move...his eyes never stop surveying the “field of play”. When my wife & I were there on Monday...we watched as salesperson after salesperson went from their desk to the garage to the table in the showroom to outside...all the while, communicating with the customer (in the form of a question to the customer) if it was ok if they went & handled this...”I’ll only be gone for like 5 minutes but Corey here will be handling any of your concerns...is that ok with you??”It worked so seamlessly it was like watching a Ballet of Customer Service!! Every One doing there part for the customer!! In your typical car sales dealership...you don’t see that camaraderie or support for the customer service experience!Overall we were very Happy with our experience we had with the guys at Hertz.One final note...there was a slight snafu when I got the car....but they reconciled it straight away! I will recommend Hertz to anyone that is seeking a used car....cause these cars look to pretty to be called used!
The car itself has been great and I love it (make sure to inspect it...the car we originally wanted had way too many dings, but we found this one there instead and it has been great). I have had less than pleasant experiences with the staff, company, and process. Every step has been a headache, and we are constantly given the run-around, with no professional courtesy or responsibility:(1) The whole process from when we decided to purchase to walking out the door took HOURS. They were fairly rude throughout the actual purchasing process once they had us committed (one person in particular).(2) We bought from out-of-state and they took *forever* getting us the paperwork to get it registered, because it has to go through corporate first. Luckily, we had the dealer plates (not temporary tags) because the temporary tags wouldve expired by the time they got everything pushed through. They tried having us send back the dealer plates early, ensuring us that the paperwork would come through in time. I instructed them that we would send them when the registration paperwork was in hand. Glad I did. We wouldve had an unregistered and undrivable car for almost 2 weeks! On top of that, this car was a replacement for a car that was totaled in a car accident. The insurance company needed this same paperwork to process the claim. Even knowing that there were additional deadlines we were waiting on, it didnt make a speck of difference.(3) We have a we owe through them for 3 oil changes, if using one of their approved places. We scheduled an oil change at said place and brought the paperwork confirming the we owe with us. After the oil change, this place said Hertz declined payment. We called them and they said that sometimes the Hertz corporate credit card doesnt work. We insisted to be reimbursed (service had already been completed), and got the run around, but agreed. Still awaiting reimbursement.

I was recently looking for a reliable car from Hertz. I filled out my application, knowing that I alone would not be approved. Thats alright, making sure to tell, I think Corey was his name, that I had a cosigner (someone who makes at least 100k year). I didnt think thatd be a problem. Needless to say, I never got a call back probably because I seemed like a joke and a waste of time. Jokes on them when I actually turned out to be a serious buyer who could have definitely made her payments on time, CONSIDERING that my credit report says that all my payments have been on time and, again, I had a very supportive cosigner---my father (Hey now, Im not married so I wouldnt ever again chuckle under your breath because someones cosigner was their father). Very rude people because they probably dont understand your financial capability as a whole. Ill be calling corporate.Going through reviews on here, if anything is wrong with your car within a certain period of days.... google Michigan Lemon Law.
Nate and Matt were amazingly helpful!!! Nate was SO super patient the three days that I had to come to the dealership looking a lot and test driving and dealing with paperwork - he gave recommendations for me on best cars dealing w prices and was exceptionally knowledgeable about all the cars conditions and inventory. He never made me feel pushed and was super accommodating and very very professional but not uptight. He even offered to help me figure out my rental car - how to put my seats down for an item that was in my other car etc he seriously just went way way way way way above and beyond and even though there were issues with the horrible UTA company that would not verify the money in my account and kept us waiting for 45 mins on the phone -- he made it leas painful by being helpful and accommodating and caring about what we were going through. We had to stay over night just because they couldnt verify my funds and spent an extra 90$ on hotel and car because of that horrible company. BUT - Nate and matt and even Cory were so nice and caring and I would recommend this Hertz and have already to all of my friends and family. Thank you Nate for making my difficult car buying experience less painful and as easy as possible. I appreciate all you have done!

Very bad experience. They sell the car have problems. When I sent email to representative, they even do not reply to me at first. When I sent second email to representative, representative reply to me, she said it is not their responsible, I should check all the problem before bought the car. So, when you bought car from Hertz, BE CAREFUL!
