ZERO STARTS. Purchased furniture from this store and was told 8-12 weeks for delivery, we thought ok no problem. 8 to 12 came and past us up by a month. We call and they keep telling us this date and that date. Now February ? You have to be kidding me, right ? These people do not care. Stay away. Do not even go here to visit. Buy somewhere else.
Our sales person, Brandon, was fantastic. Energetic, patient and he listened to what we wanted and our budget. We had gone back two other times and he remembered us each time. I will definitely buy from him again.
If I could give this company zero stars I would. We went into the store in early September to order a new mattress and adjustable base. We specifically asked before purchasing how long it would take for delivery and were assured that it should only take 2-3 weeks and that the items were in stock. We set a delivery date for 9/22 on that date and we were pretty happy with the situation. We used the store credit we received from the purchase to buy a pillow which was supposed to be delivered within a week. We took off work and waited for delivery on 9/22. The delivery never occurred and we received no phone call letting us know that the delivery was delayed.We contacted customer service and they assured us that the deliver would take place on 9/27. Everyone is dealing with delays due to COVID and staffing shortages so we understood and planned on taking 9/27 off work for delivery. Again, we waited for delivery on 9/27 and the delivery did not occur and we also received no notice that the delivery was delayed. The following day my spouse went into Ashley Homestore to figure out what was going on. They were apologetic and indicated the item was not in stock and scheduled a new delivery date for 10/19. Again, we were patient with the situation as we understand that most companies are having supply chain issues.We were hopeful this time as we received communication regarding our delivery dates a few days before and sent confirmations that we were going to be home that day. We again took the day off work on 10/19 and waited for the delivery. We called midway through our delivery window to confirm that the mattress would be delivered and we were told by their customer service that the delivery had been cancelled for 10/19, would not occur, and that we needed to go to the Ashley Homestore to see what was going on.We went to the Ashley Homestore and the sales person looked up the order, they indicated that they were unsure why the mattress was delivered prior, but indicated that mattress was taken off of the truck in Chicago for an unspecified reason. They were unable to resolve the issue because at the time there was no manager working at the store. They assured us they would send an expedited email to corporate and their management to address our issue and that we would have a response within three (3) hours. We received no response from their corporate and management.Later that day before closing we went into the store and cancelled the order requesting a full refund. They instructed us that we would have to return the pillow we ordered with the credit from the purchase. Only problem is we never actually received the pillow from the initial order. Needless to say we were disappointed with this experience as it cost us three (3) days of work and multiple trips to the store.We had broken down, removed, and sold our other bed frame prior to 9/22 so we have been sleeping on cots and twin mattresses for the past month or so. My spouse is 30 weeks pregnant so this has not been the most ideal situation. Accurate and timely communication from Ashley Homestore could have helped us avoid this situation.The good news is that we ultimately ordered a really nice mattress from Mattress Firm and have had a great experience thus far. Should have went with them in the first place.
My salesperson Kaila was great. She showed us 10 different couches, various price ranges and helped us babysit our 2 year old daughter. Her follow up was excellent the next day and I enjoyed the whole process. Great price on a great couch!
The sales staff were great. The rest of the experience has been awful. Originally told it would be 2 months before we would get the furniture that weve already paid for, were now going on 4 months with no end in sight. Weve been told that some of our order is available, and then its not. Customer service cant seem to give us a straight answer. We have actually been flat out lied to. We blocked out our day, thinking that there would be a delivery. When nothing arrived we called to find out that no such delivery had been scheduled, and the person who told us that it had couldnt possibly have done that. This is absolutely infuriating! Dont waste your time or your money.
We were greeted warmly by Terrence who immediately explained how the store was set up. We quickly were able to find the dining room set we wanted, where Terrence and the assistance of other staff, we were able to complete the transaction. I was happily surprised that the quality of Ashley furniture was much higher than I expected. I am looking forward to having my Thanksgiving dinner on the beautiful set we purchased, which includes a side board, something I have long wanted. It was a very positive experience and the whole staff was friendly and patient.
The sales lady was such a nice person. Not pushy or overbearing at all. Really liked her.

Well... went in because I had seen a bed frame online I wanted to look at... left with a top of the line mattress 🤦♀️ never thought Id spend so much on a mattress but when I tell you its the greatest thing Ive ever felt, it truly is! The interest free investment in amazing sleep is completely worth it to me. Especially after losing everything in a flood and sleeping on either an air mattress or futon the last 3 months 😭 The sleep Dr was great at answering all questions, super friendly and obviously good at her job because she sold me and my fiance almost immediately! Im still trying to shake the shock and scared feeling of spending so much but I know once my new bed arrives next week Ill be forever grateful! Had a really good experience here and will shop here again for other things. Definitely a ton better than my previous furniture shopping experience with Gardner White!

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! Been waiting for months. Was told would have my furniture that I order in March in May then they moved it to June then brought part of it at the end of May and now in August they can’t tell me when they can deliver the rest of it. No one will ever get back to me and even my sales person Melissa is hard to get a hold of but will occasionally send an email back saying she look in to it but then nothing after that. 6 months and still don’t know when I will get delivery.

We had questions regarding the dining table and couch we were deciding on. The whole process from getting the credit card setup to finalizing the payment was very seamless. Quick, easy and itll be here in 3 weeks - not too bad for 2021! 😆 The salesperson was fantastic. I definitely recommend the store! Even other guests were friendly - we chatted about a couch we were sitting on - SO COMFY!
I went in to the Westland location looking to purchase a mattress. Brandon L. assisted me. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and answered all of my questions. He helped me pick out the bed that best fulfilled me needs. To make it even better, it was a relatively easy process and didnt take long at all!

We bought a couch 1 1/2 years ago, this piece of wood came out of the back. It’s been one of the worst experiences with the manager at the store won’t respond back after I talked to her and the customer services gives me the round around. I bought insurance to make sure if anything happened, the insurance would help. They said that the insurance won’t cover it. I’m extremely aggravated, the CEO won’t answer the emails and they are not doing anything about it. I’ve called the manager MULTIPLE times hoping we could get it fixed or replaced, and they have don’t nothing. This furniture is junk!!!!
Stay away dont waste your time. They dont care about their customers. Dont let their replies fool you with the email us to fix the issue. We emailed and they said theyre not liable for their faulty low quality furniture 72 hours after you receive it even with the warranty you purchase lol what a joke just goes to show how low quality their stuff is. We had our furniture less than a year and it already fell apart. Do not purchase from them

Absolute trash. I was told my bed would be delivered within a month. Two after the original delivery date they say it will be another 3 weeks and again it didn’t show up and now I’m being told another 3-5 weeks. Would not recommend buying anything from this place to anyone ever. Absolutely regret purchasing my bed through them.
My wife and I just bought a house and needed a new bedroom set and couch so we thought we’d give Ashley’s a try in Westland MI. All I have to say is the employees were amazing. Super nice people with personality. We did wind up buying a couch, love seat, and bedroom set from here and are looking forward to doing more business with them in the future. I gave 4 stars due to wait times for delivery, but with that said everywhere is slow because of COVID. Highly recommend Kia as a sales rep super sweet lady.

This was my first time visiting Ashley furniture. They had quite a few options on bedroom sets. My sales person Alison was very helpful and pleasant. She played a big role in me making my final decision on purchasing my new bedroom set. She explained everything in detail and knew her stuff. I also loved the fact that the sales person do not hound you like other furniture stores. I will definitely go back and will be referring my family and friends.

We love this place! We purchased one of there large sectionals. We’re suppose to receive it the top of the year and we are so excited! We also are getting a sofa, accent chairs and kitchen table. If you’ve never been it’s most definitely a place to visit to get some good modern furniture. 5 stars for sure! Plus customer service is amazing!

Customer service in store was good but the delivery process was horrible!First of all my furniture was on back order and took almost 2 months to even get to me. When my furniture did arrive, I was told that they would haul away my old king sized bed, but the delivery guys came unprepared for that. The two men had an attitude and seemed like I was putting them out. They refused to take my old set and told me that I would have to call and schedule a pick up. The problem with that?, YOU WILL BE ON HOLD FOR OVER AN HOUR!!! Their phone customer service is ridiculous. After scheduling a pick up, they never even showed up! Now I have to pay out of pocket to have it removed by someone else! I will NEVER shop with Ashley ever again!

Very unprofessional when it comes to delivery and the scheduling for delivery. U was told multiple dates of when I can receive my furniture its going on 3 months and still havent received anything. I will never purchase any furniture from Ashley ever again. And recommend to ship somewhere else if you want you furniture on time and handled professionally

Worst customer service Ive ever dealt with. Have been extremely patient. I ordered my furniture 7 months ago, I still havent received it. The store will never answer the phone, customer service line tells you it will be here in 2 weeks every time. Theyve had my money for 7 months but I still have no furniture. Constantly get no actual real information and just get told the same duck and dodge story. Went to gardner white and was able to get dining room table delivered the same day about a week ago.
Customer service was wonderful. We had Brenda help us and she was very professional and quick. She was also very good with dealing with my four year old being crazy. We were able to look at the entire store, pick what we wanted and check out all within an hour and 10 mins. I highly recommend this store.

I called the store when I located the tables I wanted. The young lady took my order and emailed me the invoice and I was able to submit payment with that invoice. I was told my tables wouldn’t be available for pick up for several months due to COVID-19 however I was contacted within the week with a delivery date in two weeks! I got my tables today and am thrilled with the service as well as the product!!
Everyone at the Westland store are so nice. We bought a power sofa & bedroom set. Nice furniture. Only bad part was something bit me while we were looking at the mattresses.

She was extremely helpful and patient and worked so hard to make our vision become a reality, and SHE GOT THE JOB DONE! Ashley Furniture has the best furniture (design, durability, and Quality) out of all the other furniture stores visited, and they offer an excellent coverage plan to keep the furniture looking new!I highly recommend going there whether before or after other stores, and the difference will be noticed almost immediately. I can go on and on about the difference in quality, design, experience, options, and most importantly, customer service; but why bother when you can go check it out for yourself!!
An absolute nightmare from start to finish. Extended the arrival date by three months. Delivery arrived today and the delivery personnel completely tore up the couch. The worst company I have ever dealt with. The entire experience was atrocious.

He was professional, respectful, and extremely patient. He was able to help me answer all questions and any concerns I had.Eldon also took the time to explain our financial options for our purchases. As of now and the 5 months I’ve been dealing with them, Ashley Furniture have by far been one of the worst customer service experiences I have had. Our first problem was a broken bed that was delivered, and after almost a solid week of phone calls, customer service just hanging up on me, and being extremely rude, we finally had our bed delivered by extremely unprofessional delivery men.You can’t get anyone to return your calls. Or even answer the phone. I’m almost 6 months out without my furniture (I was told 3 months).I was never contacted to be told that I need to make an exchange on a piece of my sectional. Never contacted to be informed that our 3 month wait has turned into 9 months.Every person I talk to tells me a different story regarding the status of my furniture. From beginning to end, I would not recommend.
We purchased 2 recliners from Ashley Furniture in March of 2020. The 1 recliner ripped at a seam where the foot rises and when we called to have it repaired they said it doesnt repair rips if its in a seam.? What is the difference where it ripped? I hadnt had them a year when it happened. Thought we found a place to purchase furniture that would honor the warranty but we were mistaken again. We have purchased from 3 different retailers over the last 10 years and this is the worst so far.
The staff, specifically KJ, were amazing! Honest, knowledgeable, and kind. We have had horrible experiences at competitors, but Ashleys changed our furniture-buying experience. Highly recommend!
Went to the Westland store and was very happy with Brandons knowledge of the sleeper sofas that we we interested in. Would have given 5 stars if additional color choices were available. Looking forward to when our new couch arrives!
I would say our sales person was very nice and helpful. However that is when the service ended. I work in sales and understand delays on materials right now. So with that being said after making multiple purchases for my families new home I made it a point to ask for all of our items to be delivered at once. After getting a notification that our ITEMS were to be sent we gave our other furniture away to people. Today we got an ottoman. When calling the customer service department they said to speak to the store, the store said speak to the customer service department. Just bad customer service, and still not resolved.

I ordered my furniture 4 months ago. The agents that I have been able to contact, first told me that the furniture would be delivered 10/8, then pushed to 10/20. No one contacted me to let me know anything. Tried calling the listed number over and over, only to be hung up on after two rings. The only way I was able to talk to anyone at all, was through the online chat, or going into the store. I finally went into the store a day after it was supposed to be delivered, only to find out that it was pushed back another month. I had just moved into my house when I ordered the furniture and have had nothing to sit on since I’ve been living in my home. I am supposed to have family over for Thanksgiving, who will also have no where to sit. While I was in the store, there was another woman who had the EXACT same issue as I am having. Good prices, nice selection, but good luck trying to get your stuff before the new year. I will be going to a competitor of theirs, and cancelling my entire order.Poor communication, terrible timeline for delivery, terrible customer service.

Unique styles for a fair price. I looked at several other stores trying to find a couch for my first home but just kept finding a lot of the same boring things. I was actually driving be Ashley HomeStore on my way to a different store and decided to stop in. I worked with Eldon, and he was very knowledgeable and personable. I ended finding a couch AND a chair that I loved and got them both with a BOGO promotion that was running.

The furniture is such nice quality but the customer service is horrible. Ordered furniture fir my daughter and received half of it after 3 months the other half came 4 months later. Happy days right nope no brackets for the mirrors. That can 3 weeks later. We were told to email Alysssa Bailey. 2 weeks go by no response, I go up there on my day off as managers only work during the day m-f. Of course they are all on lunch. So I am sitting here waiting as I type. I have been told there is one person that schedules the delivery through a 3rd party and I am scheduled but no one has access to the system to tell me the date or time. Luckily my husband is working from home these days. Hopefully Alyssa Bailey can help me with that when she gets back. I would not recommend this company at all! I bought a lot of their furniture when Art Van was around so I was super excited when I saw they opened their own store. Boy have I been disappointed! You would think a national chain would have a much better way of delivering their products. I’ll just stick to wayfair as they have figured it out.
Like many people my wife purchased a reclining couch (Power Sofa w/ Adj Headrest Model 7320515) back in August that after many calls and delays was delivered on December 1st. That evening while trying to lower my legs on the right hand side (facing couch) it stopped lowering. After a little downward pressure I was able to lower it completely.Not even a day old and not functioning correctly already.So I called the number given by the store to contact and after waiting 10 minutes to explain my problem was hung up on. So I called back and after 10 more minutes I talked to a representative and was asked to send a picture of the couch to him which I did. He called back and stated that his supervisor viewed the pictures and Ashley would replace the couch. I was informed that the first day this could be done was the 15th of December, today, and then nothing. I am sorry but at this point I have little faith in your system. No problem taking our money but a lot of trouble getting what we paid for. The store I purchased it from will do nothing but refer me to the number that has not help as of yet.
Great selection, great service, great deals. Funny this was my second furniture store of the day and the service at the previous store was awful so this was really refreshing. I was allowed to kinda walk around a minute before being approached by my nice salesperson. Eldon was knowledgeable and friendly and practiced safety while handling our purchase. I appreciate not being hassled and also appreciated being treated with respect. Cant wait to get my new purchase delivered!
This store is the absolute worst. I ordered a sectional on 11-4-20 still no couch. I have gone into the store multiple times. I get different answers from them then when I call their wonderful call center. I will never shop here and again even if I was to buy a floor model because they would somehow tell me they dont have it in stock. This place needs to get it together.
