Recently I came in to buy a new pair of glasses. I had much difficulty with a former eyecare center which provided me terrible service. I decided to go into SVS and see what they had. I was provided great service and are very satisfied with the glasses I picked out at a reasonable price.

The eye doctor was amazing but the lady who did my order not so much. I need transition lens. I told the lady and after I left I realized we didn’t go over my options so I called. She told me she picked for me, that I didn’t like. Then when I told her what I wanted she questioned my choice by asking why would I want that. I didn’t like that. At the end of the day it’s my choice my money and I’m the one who has to wear the glasses. Why did I need to explain myself? Plus she told me my glasses were black and white when they are brown and Rose quartz.

Me and my daughter went here last week and what a wonderful trip to the eye doctor. I felt totally safe being in there with all the Covid craziness going on. The doctor was awesome all the way down to exceptionally nice receptionists. We will definitely be back when our yearly checkups are due.

Came into the store to return some glasses for my mother (she called before I went and they told her it was okay to drop the glasses back off for her refund). The lady at the front desk was COMPLETELY rude to me because I didn’t have an appointment, which I didn’t need because they already told me so. She kept repeating “you need an appointment to be in this building, you need an appointment to be in the building” until another employee stepped in and said she could help me. By the first impression I would have normally walked right out and never looked back. First impression is everything and she made me not want to be in the establishment even just to make a return.The lady the ended up helping me was very nice though!

Got my new glasses they look great, had them fitted, everything is wonderful 😊. Thanks SVS..

Became a new customer in the middle of 2020. The glasses that I got needed to be tightened so often because of the very bad material. They finally broke at the end of January 2021 and it took me two weeks to get in for an appointment of a replacement pair. Fast forward to the appointment February 12th One of the workers told me 5 to 7 business days to get my glasses and it timed out perfectly because I was going out of town on the 25th. I paid whatever balance that was needed the day of and I called on the 23rd to check the status of my glasses and one of the workers told me that my glasses were still in the lab and that she would check to see where they were with them and put a rush order on them she also stated that she would reach back out to me and let me know what to expect. However, before she hung up the phone she told me that because of the type of insurance I had it was taking longer to get my glasses back. Like, what? So I’m supposed to not only be hard of seeing for the two weeks it took to get the appointment, but also two more weeks to get the replacement pair in which I still have not gotten and it is currently March 1????

I spent $400.00 for glasses I cant see out of. I took them back and told them and I said it must be the wrong prescription. She said thats the prescription thats on file. I said ok maybe I just need to adjust but I still cant see. How do you think they would feel if they couldnt see out of their glasses. Im on disability and I cant afford to pay $400.00 for glasses I cant see out of. Im going to get a second opinion and call that doctor. Oh and she said if I wanted to have another exam it would cost me $60.00 I dont think so. I will never go there again.

I’ve been going here for a couple years now!The staff is amazing, they always go above and beyond! My glasses broke during quarantine and I called to set up an appointment to drop off my old glasses. My appointment wasn’t until July but unbeknownst to me Tom ordered me a new pair and I had them on within a week! That’s the true definition of Excellent Customer Service! I recently made the decision to purchase prescription sunglasses. The sales team showed me all name brand pairs and I decided to go with a name brand pair. I assumed that I would be getting the branding as well as prescription sunglasses. Shortly, after receiving them I realized they didn’t have the branding on them. An expensive pair which looks like a regular pair, the only difference is how much I paid for them. When I asked them about it, they said that I could have had the branding if I had requested it. How would I know to request it if they didn’t give me the option to? They didn’t offer to any further discounts and they didn’t mention how I could fix this. I think honesty goes a long way in customer retention and it’s things like this that make me not want to return to SVS. If they withheld this information, there’s the possibility that they’re not honest about other services.

I needed my prescription from the Ypsilanti location on Washtenaw Avenue. Yonna was wonderful and handled my request in a professionaly matter. Thank you Yonna for your wonderful service, kindness and respect.

There is always room for improvement. Not always the nicest people rather on the phone or in store. Im looking for a new eye doctor. And the sarcasm needs to stop.

Vito Trevino was excellent on follow up and service. I had the opportunty to watch how he worked with customers. Always polite, and considerate even when several people were waiting for service. Kim jumped in to help immediately, and the receptionist greeted me promptly. The Doctor has a great demeanor and referred me to a retina specialist nearby. Great team! 3 visits on 3 different days revealed a consistent high level of service that is unusual today. The back and forth from Doctor, Tech, Doctor was fluid and showcased the maturity and experience of this team. Good job....and keep it up!

Staff is very good. Great customer service. I had my eye checked twice and they made glasses twice but not sure what is it - prescription Given by their eye doctor or the the way glasses are made. My eyes are not feeling comfortable when I wear glasses. If I wear it long period and then take it out then my eyes see more fizzier than before. Distance is not clear compare to my old. I had sunglasses done with prescription from different Opthalmologist and they came out fine but this time due to insurance change thought of trying out SVS eye doctor for prescription and glasses both. Overall great customer service.

They have been helping us for years. They get to know and document for preferences. They are honest about how glasses look. It is of course subject to personal opinions. They dont just go for the higher sales. They know if you are helped to get what you want and need at a price you can actually afford you will be back again.

Seriously great people. They were wonderful with my sons fitting and got me the best price. Frfr. $100 for 2 sets of puma glasses.

Good employee morale. Polite, cheerful, employees actually seem to like each other. And that gets passed on to the customer, who seems to enter into their neighborliness.

Awesome service. I just had an appointment to get an eye exam and contact fitting. After they gave me a pair of contacts that I liked, I took them home and found that I did not like the way they felt after a couple of hours. So I called them and they let me come back immediately, sit down with my doctor and try on a couple more pairs of contacts. 10/10 recommend!

SVS Ypsilantis entire staff are always professionals are always friendly and courteous when I stop by their office for either an eye glass repair or adjustment. They always have a large variety of frame styles to selects from. During the most recent visit, my prescription glasses arrived as I ordered. I made some modications to the prescription. The glasses were sent back to the lab and I got my new glasses back within a week. I am very pleased with my new frames and prescription.Great job

The staff is great! I couldnt decide which lenses I wanted and all the staff took turns giving me their opinions =) They were very helpful with the whole experience, from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out. Ill definitely keep coming back to them for me and my childrens glasses.

Everyone I came into contact with was very friendly and attentive! The whole process from start to finish went smoothly and no waiting between steps.

Straight forward optometry experience. I like a bit more flipping between a and b, 1 and 2, personally, like, really draw that (expletive) out like youre guiding a meditation; that gets a 5 star experience. Friendly staff. Womens frames are cooler than the dudes frames, so make sure you check both shelves.

Definitely a great place! Receptionists are friendly, deals are pretty good, and the eye exams are quick and accurate. Came here for my girlfriend and after all the joking and good conversations I was about ready to buy a pair of glasses I wouldn’t need!

I have been going to SVS for years. They are always very helpful and make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. They go above and beyond to make sure your happy and always follows up with you after the appointment.

My experience at SVS Vision has always been a positive one. Ive been getting glasses/contacts from them for years. The staff/doctors are very knowledgeable about eye care and assisting with choosing just the right pair of glasses.

Everyone here is so nice! There was a mix-up with my appointment date and they squeezed me in. They also dont try to push you to get the expensive frames and will give you their genuine opinion, without making you feel bad. Definitely recommend!

I went in for an eye exam and contacts fitting. I normally have issues because my insurance covers both glasses and contacts and no one ever believes me, however that didnt happen here! I was in and out in 20 minutes!! Super fast, friendly and no nonsense.

Everyone is wonderful. From the time you walk in the door for your exam till you leave with your new glasses. They are actually there to help even beyond that. Just stop in or call them and they treat you like you are the only customer.

I’ve been to a ton of vision places since moving back to Ypsilanti. I did not expect to love this place as much as I do, but the staff and selection of glasses are fabulous. Have recommended to friends and family.

I have gotten some really aweful service at other optical centers but I was immediately put at ease by the service and quality I experienced at this location. Nice staff, clean facility, good options and very flexible about working with you. I had a great experience and will be taking my business to them from now on. Literally the only issue I had was hearing the entirety of what my doctor had said but I have a hearing issue so thats less their fault as my condition.

Service quick, offsite processing of glasses was fairly fast (Friday exam to Tuesday pickup). Would have liked a little wider selection of frames, though.

I have always had a great experience here. Dr. Yee is very thorough and professional. Mary is always a joy. One thing I would say is that it was difficult to make an appointment online...so just call.

It took me about FOUR or FIVE visits to get the correct prescription. The office ladies are rude and scheduling is a pain if you have a busy schedule. I was running a few minutes behind during an ice storm and was told I would have to come back a different day. I will not be back, and will not be recommending SVS Vision to anyone.

Ok! Its one older lady that yells across the store instead of approaching customers to talk to them. Which is rather rude but other than that it was great customer service!

Every time wait time so long between half an hour to fifty minutes .there is no communication between the doctor and the desk after I wait for fifty minutes to call our name whole exam take 5 min. I spend from beginning of June till last day of August to get the wright prescription. At the end stuff look at me pretend dont see me we were standing waiting for 15 minutes to checkout.After each visit was waiting to get phone call about new contact lenses for my daughter but no one call or set an appointment I told them doctor said they dont know .not friendly and not helpful .even they dont apology about thier mistakes. There is another senior couple waiting for a while.

How about 0 stars. I should have known when the doctor was sarcastic and rude. Telling me if I didnt know where my computer was in reference to my face (while sitting in the exam chair) that my prescription would be completely off. Maybe this is something they could ask you to measure before you come in. The glasses were never properly fitted to my head. Though I always placed them in their case while not in use, they would frequently fall off my face when bending over, therefore scratching the lens. But hey sorry, buy another pair if dont like scratches, even though your glasses were never fitted properly even after multiple visits. I wasted so much money. NEVER again!

I switched to SVS two years ago, other than them being very busy at times they have always been helpful and accommodating. I like the selection of $130 frames (frame allowance) and the male Optician is a very nice man. I would recommend to others :)

We had a pretty uncomfortable time. I took my seven year old son to SVS and right off the bat it felt like a bad fit. The receptionist treated me like a child, but I thought I would just forget it and see the doctor. The first thing i noticed was that he was not very good at making my son feel comfortable. He didnt really explain why he was putting in eyedrops or how they work. Personally, I just prefer to be informed and it makes my son feel more confident. He was overreacting a little and feeling nervous. When he said the eyedrops hurt the doctor said No they dont, no they dont. Like, okay hes seven, they probably dont hurt but if your trying to make someone feel better thats a poor way to go about it. He never used the term amblyopia. He kept saying lazy eye which i felt was just tacky or unprofessional at the least. The rest of the visit continued in this manner. To the owner: I wont be back, thanks anyway.
