Never shopped at Sav A Lot before so was not expecting fresh produce and meats for a reasonable price. Nice surprise plus cashier and stock personnel were exceptionally nice. Will definitely go back.

It is a good store helps me save money to feed my extended family when they come home. Feed a hole family on a lil budget. Hey brothers eat alot! The staff here r very friendly and inviting.

Good deals on food but some thing expire quickly

Made it home with frozen pizzas that had clearly thawed and then been refrozen. The cardboard was loaded with ice. I think the store knew too because it looked like someone had poked a hole in the side of the box to look inside. Total bummer. Store looked so clean and organize and had lots of hard to find items.

They sell spoiled meat! Its re-frozen old meat that thaws. I bought some chicken there today. I got home and the meat was spoiled and smeeled rank. I took it back. The management there are repugnant. Wouldnt give me a refund. Then persided to be rude and show a very low level of customer service. Buy meat there and your taking a chance of getting Salmonella. That meat is old meat from Walmart and other places and refrozen and sold to the poor at Save Alot. Tyson chicken.

My Go-to store before TJ’s, ALDI, I worked at Meijer’s in the 70’s, the plethora and wealth of places to shop for food ~ a blessing! Save-A-Lot who knows where their profit goes or IF the Washtenaw branch is solvent? This store has always been steady, open during the holidays as well as this New Years and Eve, so don’t forget to stop in at this Save-A-Lot! So much competition for all grocery stores with convenience everywhere, many are cleaning up their stores to present as clean and friendly.

Been shopping here since June of 2019, and its honestly great. Its right next to a Dollar Tree, and the employees are so nice and helpful.Small cons: They dont have a huge selection of fruits and veggies, and their half gallons of ice cream (my personal fav is mint cookie) have melted ice cream running down the sides that has been re-frozen. Like...its noticeable before you even take it out of the freezer, and it will make your hands sticky. Its just a little pet peeve, but you can just rinse it off when you get home, so its not a huge deal.Pros: Massive selection of dry goods, decent offbrand soda selections, and great ice cream. They also have some reduced merch at the end of the fruit and veggie aisle, which is a nice bonus.There is a very friendly tall black worker (his name escapes me and I feel bad 😅) who greets me and my roommate/best bud 9 times outta 10 each time we visit. He is very nice and funny lolThis place does allow you to save money and treat yourself at the same time, and I will always be returning every chance I get.

Frozen food all have frozen condensation and ice on the inside of bags. Clear sign all the frozen food was thawed and froze again . Poor quality

Prices have gone up,fruits and vegetables r always no good!! Make sure u check expiration dates.. Sometimes they put fresh meat over old hamburger too trick the eye,dig into it,and its simi brown.. This store is suppose to b SAVE a lot..

The prices are always right. This grocery store is also the right size - easy to get around the aisles, and help is always available. Im cooking a lot at home these days, and they have some items you cant find at larger grocery chains, like specialty spices, ethnic foods, and even some frozen foods. So yes... I cook a lot, now I save a lot.

Best prices and no wasteful plastic bags would recommend for all your grocery needs.

Places with a lot items and the price little higher ..good service.

This place has been doing a great job during the pandemic. All the staples have been stocked, meat, dairy, eggs and the like. Was the first place I saw toliet paper early on and still manages to have it more often then not. Also its been the only place Ive been able to find some things like frozen beef and green chili burritos when other places only have bean and cheese ones. They have been doing a much better job then the big guys during these times.

Didnt have what I wanted

Multiple times the food has rotted quickly, there were maggots and flies in the dried peppers. The meat is extremely questionable with greying on the poultry, the produce always has some sort of mold and the milk and juice had layers of dust.

You save a lot of money, but thats because they do not have anything for you to buy! They only sell 1 brand of each item! (Example: apples - they only sell red apples & have 10 to buy) Other stores (Kroger & Meijer in particular) give you a choice with a variety of brands! Example: apples - 100s are available to buy. What flavour did you want?! Green, red, red with honey infused in it.Also they do not bag your groceries for you either! Very poor place to buy the groceries that you want!

They have an UPS access point here where you can drop off your package, even on SUNDAY and it’s much more better than the drop off box. Staffs are so helpful helping me with moving my packages!!!!! Thank you!

The prices are high the quality of food is sub par and they do not have a good selection of food. And every time they do, they discontinue it. For example Nathans onion rings. I think the prices need to be lower and the food should be fresher. They make enough money to step their game up.

Would give 5 stars if had a better variety but its the cheapest grocery store around and thats why anybody goes there. I think the cashier likes me. The dime bags they sell are perfect trash bags to hang on the doorknob.

Save-A-Lot doesnt always have the brand you are looking for on food, but what they do have is usually comparable. Sometimes they do have name brand items on groceries. Regardless, the prices are wonderful. When money is a little tight, shopping at Save- A- Lot can really give you more bang for your buck on groceries and make dinner much better. The meat is pretty good, and they often have great deals on meat sales. Even their milk tastes pretty good. I would recommend it if you are trying to stretch your dollar and still get decent food. The employees are always friendly and helpful when we go in.

The store was clean, but Sad to see that the quality in the Meat department is going down. Second visit in a row where I saw meat items showing Very visible evidence of spoilage.

Was very disappointed by the roast that I brought 4 days ago and took it out the freezer to and it was red but by the time the meat unthawed it was brown mad because I shop here on a regular basis and it felt like it was going bad and was injected with something to make it red again not use to this from the store I wanted to upload the picks so you can see it was a total waste of $18.00 because I had to throw it away imma try and upload these pictures so you can see that this wasn’t made up

A great place to buy condiments, side dishes, snacks, and maybe a few pieces of produce. Dairy items are OK I guess. But I go elsewhere for meat.

Nice selection of products but very rude staff, I went looking for gluten free pasta and when I asked the manager he laughed in my face. I refuse to go back even if there prices are cheap.I would have taken a simple No, but to laugh in a customers face-RUDE!

Im a waitress Ive come across a few customer that pay 100 dollar bill Ive always used a marker to test if the 100 dollar real. But anyway cut to the chase so I purchase a few item from this sav a lot and was going to pay with a 100 dollar which was my tip of all day working. The cashier look at it for like a second than later the owner / manager rush out toward me and accuse me of having a fake 100 dollar bill and make me feel like I was a criminal. So lucky I have me debit card to pay. So i fell for his scam he told me he was going to report the police about the 100 dollar but never did. I found out because when I got home I call the police to see if he report anything and he didnt so basically he got a free 100 dollar bill. I was a victim of a scam so I hope this dont happened to anyone.

I will never ho back to sav a lot! The manager is so rude! I bought eight bunches of greens and was so clear that they put good leaves on the outside, covering up the yellow, bug infested, already rotting leaves. When i called the manger he said why didnt i go through them. I said i did as much as i could with them being bunched and tied already. His response was what do you expect me to do. I wont be back. This no way to treat a customer whos shopped their since they opened the doors.
