Saw some office furniture on staples.com, but went into the store to purchase. The in-store price was over $100 more, but fortunately Staples has a price match guarantee, so I price matched them against themselves.. which was a strange experience, but it worked.The upsell here is for real. I was there to purchase one item, and they tried to sell me on warranties and service plans 3 times. The staff was super nice about it, however. We all knew that the lame upsells were required by their employer, even though they made no sense.Overall I got the impression that Staples is pretty greedy.

Rude print employees seem to be the norm there. I called to ask if they could get to a simple 1 color page x 100 copy job in the next 2 hours if I emailed it to them. She said “I don’t know as I’m not the one working the emails today”. I then asked if she would mind checking because I would be over that way to get my child from school and if would be much longer than that their store would be out of my way as I had a meeting the other direction and didn’t want to have to backtrack to their store for copies.She said “hold on” - rudely. Came back and said “we can have it done in 2 hours if you want to pay a rush fee”. I then said - we’ll don’t you guys have those machines there I can pop my thumb drive into and print. She said “yes”.I then asked what the price was. Her reply “63 cents per copy”. I said well do you price match your competition because Office Depot has them at 44 cents.Her reply “not copies” - rudely.They need to figure out that without customers they don’t have a paycheck. I won’t be going in their over priced store anymore! I’ll be glad the day Amazon puts them out of business.

I’m a disabled veteran with a service dog. I’m opening a new business and need an entire office including furniture, computer, printer, etc . I notified Marcus, a certified technician, that I have been in the store walking around for over twenty minutes waiting for someone to help me. I notified Marcus to let the manager know that I was not helped and that I was intending to purchase the entire office. He said nothing!!! No apology!! No can I help you find anything!! Nothing what a waste of an employee and lack of supervisors. If I ran my business like this I’d be shut down.
Called to ask about fax and about how much. Apparently, if it’s not their department then you might as well not call. Yeah, thanks, called to avoid an unnecessary trip. Thanks, I now know that my business is not welcome or appreciated here. Next please!
Bought an office chair in May, the arm broke off in June. Lucky for us we bought the extended protection plan, right? Nope. Tried to file a claim 4 times (each time something different went wrong and they refused to help over the phone), then once the claim was filed, was told he had to pay for certified destruction of the chair first, then would be reimbursed when that amount could be verified. Incredible hassle for a shoddy piece of furniture, last time Ill buy office furniture here at all.
Really needed to purchase a office chair same day and the only one I was interested in they only had the display model but wouldn’t sell it. Guess they have too much money to worry about customer service.
I had a dead in the water so to speak laptop. Ben, and Jeremy, both provided fabulous customer service, advice, recovery of stuff off old laptop. I purchased a new one here, they made sure all questions handled before I left store! Any questions u call and ask for me, they both Said! Great experience!
Ordered monitor online and went to store to pickup. No one was at customer service. The cashier did not acknowledge us at all but went ahead many others. A simple Hi! would have been sufficient.
I went in last night (2/14/2020) to fax something. I stood at the print area counter for 3-4 minutes while the girl working sat on her phone. Another employee was vacuuming and walked past me 5 times. I finally said “excuse me”. The girl sitting back there said “oh sorry. Hold on” and continued her text on her phone before coming to help me. Everyone working just seemed so inconvenienced to help a customer out. I can’t count the number of times I’ve been to this store and never had a problem. But last night was just incredibly irritating.
Well first they were trying to help me use the fax machine by myself, however it wouldnt work so the young lady had to fax it herself. She was very nice and helpful.
I would give 0 stars if I could. Do NOT get your books spiral bound here.Got some expensive medical books spiral bound and they absolutely butchered the job. Not only am I missing pages, but they cut through the punched holes and had to recopy part of my book and then re-punch those pages. I walked in with 3 books and left with 6 poorly spiral bound books that are incomplete. Waste of time and money.
Went there for the first time to print a document I had emailed. I asked the three people standing at the desk where I could pick it up. The guy just rudely points, not saying a word. I said, this is my first time here. He tells one girl to show me, she mumbles and turns away. Another girl said she would show me. She did but was very uncourteous as if I was a bother to her. My document didnt print correctly, so she tells me to email it to another email, she could pull it up. Then just walks away and I stood there for a bit to get my document as she is just standing around talking to the other employee. Very unprofessional and rude attitudes all around. I will never use this service again.
I took my little brother here to print off some things he needed for a project, and when we arrived at the print/copy counter the woman there didn’t seem very inviting/engaging or wanting service of any kind. It seemed like we were a bother to her since it did seem like she was working on another project of printing out invitations or what have you. However, once we gave her the USB and told her what we needed printed off I noticed she was on her phone and seemed preoccupied with other matters on the computer. After, she gave us some of our printouts and proceeded to check us out. We noticed there was some pictures missing and politely notified her. She then proceeded to argue with us saying we never told her, when I distinctly remember us telling her exactly what we needed. As someone who is in a customer service based work field, I know you have to engage and pay attention to the customer you’re helping. This experience didn’t even come close to customer service. Wouldn’t come here again. I don’t care if it’s the closest Staples near me.
This guy in the technician repair area was so nice, his name was Ben or something starting with a B, so nice and helpful especially when he spoke Spanish!

Staples carries thermal paste for heat sinks! What a life saver! They also carry many other computer parts that I may need in the future. It will be nice to be able to have them the same day without driving too far or waiting on the parts in the mail!

I went in here to get some papers printed for an event I was having and the people working the printing station were rude and not helpful at all. I asked if I could have a poster I needed printed on stock, and they told me that they can’t do that even though I’ve had it done there before.
It lied to my family
There were a group of reachers there shopping which is great but the employees acted as though they were there only customers. I felt dismissed and like my needs werent important.
It seems every time I go here, one (of two) Xerox machines are down with an update or config message. Not so helpful. A couple of days ago, I had to tell the Print Shop people BOTH Xeroxes were down, having waited 20 minutes to send a three-page fax.
Print shop cannot print .EPS or .SVG files? Are you kidding? The manager and his assistant (probably not a regular in the print-shop) were baffled, telling me that if I converted my .SVG file to .JPG, it wouldnt lose any clarity. Yeah. Compressing a picture doesnt introduce losses... never mind. I went 12 miles to FedEx Office to get my work done.

I had to fax seven pages to the VA. It usually only cost a few bucks at the place I usually go but it went out business. It cost me 18 bucks at Staples. I will never step foot in a Staples again.
