Only buy furniture you can leave with. Otherwise the wait will be months (at least 3+) and the furniture that arrives wont be what you ordered. It is an overpriced nightmare.The quality is also bad, poor materials and rushed workmanship. Im not shopping at Pottery Barn in person or online in the future. This store is going the way of the dodo...

I received some items as a gift. I called customer service before coming in to the store to confirm that I could exchange them and was assured that there wouldn’t be any problems. Once at the store there was a lot of confusion among the employees on how to do the exchange. The item that I wanted to exchange for was only available online. The numbers were not adding up. They were only giving me a 7% tax credit when the real tax rate is 10.1%. They have no problem charging 10.1% but they can’t refund 10.1%? Such crooks! Worse than that they charged me 10.2% tax! The true rate should be 10.1%. How deceitful is this?! Then they told me it would take over 2 months to receive the item! When i asked about the tax difference they told me that it’s because I wanted to do the exchange today. If I took a store credit it would he different but then i would have to wait at least 4-5 days to get the card in the mail and then I would have to come back to make the purchase. They were acting like they were doing me some kind of favor by stealing money during an exchange. What kind of service is this? What a stupid policy during this time of pandemic to try and force me to make an unnecessary trip to the store. It was such a horrible experience that I will never shop at this store again. There are so many better stores available with good customer service. This is a robbery!

I went to buy a dining table today, I was here last week, I like this table, so I decided to buy it today, the the price on the price tag is 1999, when I am really to pay, I saw the price on their computer, the price is 2199, I asked them why the price is higher, they said we didn’t put the right price tag, and find a new 2199 price tag from somewhere, told me this is the right price, I said the price on the tag is 1999, now you tell me it’s 2199, it’s not making any sense, they told me they can fix it, but they will still charge me 2199, when they deliver, they will refund the difference, so I just left, everyone if wanna buy things, double check the price

While being a fan of their furniture, their delivery and operations is an absolute nightmare. I could write a novel on the 2 month ordeal weve been through. Long story short, the post sales communication has been horrific and their delivery dates have been wildly missed. And the product that did arrive, was damaged.We placed our order in September to arrive well before a planned Thanksgiving family gathering. We were promised the bulk of the furniture order would arrive in mid October. Mid October came and went without notice, I had to call to find out that they were on a back order but it would ship early Nov. Early Nov came, a few of the items arrived (some damaged) but the critical furniture was still MIA. I called again only to find out the table wasnt going to ship until December. At this point I cancelled my order.

We buy a lot of furniture at Pottery Barn. They have seasonal items, so I can decorate my house for Christmas, Thanksgiving and every other accession without breaking the bank. There is always a promo going on, so I get extra discount on some items. As a matter of fact, I usually wait for sale to happen and then I buy the special items I have been keeping an eye on. My favorite furniture store in town.

They give you the option to schedule design services online. You schedule receive a confirmation email, confirming your appointment with time you selected. Then 2 hours before you confirmed appointment they call and tell you that yeah the online system doesnt really schedule an appointment, our designers control their schedule and set the appointment times by phone What???? then why have it as an option online??? Ill be getting my design services and furnishings somewhere else!!

Bought a beautiful Valencia Sleight bed in Cherry, and 14 months later the headboard separated from the base due to a design flaw. (Basically they cut corners to make shipping cheaper.) Unfortunately its 2 moths out of warranty and their response was theres nothing we can do about it. If your thinking of buying a major furniture item, buy from somewhere else that is willing to stand behind their products.

Excellent customer service! I have lost some wing thumb screws that attach the leaves to a pottery barn dining table, I have called this store to get the hardware information after failing to get it from any other pottery barn store I had tried. They have helped me very promptly, called back with the information I had needed within an hour. They were very courteous, and incredibly nice!

Avoid purchasing furniture here, unless you can take it physically from the store. Sales people don’t make time for you unless you aggressively follow them, pottery barn has ridiculous shipping prices and wait times. We waited 9 weeks for a sectional only to find out we have to wait 2 more months?!! Ridiculous.

NEVER EVER buy any furniture from Pottery & Barn, especially at the Bellevue Square shop!!! If there is a 0 star, Ill rank 0 star. The following are our true experience with no exaggeration. We made an order in the shop for a whole bed in this January. We were told that the bed was not in store then and we needed to wait until April for it to be shipped. It was acceptable. In early April, Pottery Barns delivery vendor came to our place with ONLY a headboard, not the whole bed. I went to the Bellevue shop and the sales representative told me the SKU that we ordered in January is now only a headboard in their system. Like a ball, I was kicked between Pottery sales and customer service for few times, and I had to coordinate them. (Come on, it is not my fault and business to do so!) In the end, I was asked to place another order again for their new SKU and the original order fee would be refunded to me. I placed the new order, and the original order fee was only refunded to me after two weeks when I called to push them. It was not done yet, here came a more frustrating thing! A coupe of weeks later, I received a call from Pottery that they dont have the fabric for our new order any more. (So why did you ask me to place the order?) My wife went to the shop and was asked to choose another fabric and place a THIRD order for an available bed. She was told that the new order would only be shipped in this August. And the price difference would be refunded to us once the bed is delivered. So we were charged again.Let me SUMMARIZE: we have been charged 3 times for the same furniture, the terrible process has been taken 4 months long and the bed is still not shipped to our place yet (Hopefully it will be shipped to us after 8 months, Hopefully), and we had to be baby sitter among Pottery sales/delivery/customer service departments (Yes, they dont work and communicate together as one single company, but like several independently operating units.) It is really the worst experience we have with any local shop in past years.

Tried to purchase a duvet cover. Waited at the cash register for 10 minutes ready to pay. Asked two employees if we could pay during that time but nobody came over to help us. None of the cash registers were manned. What a ridiculously horrible experience. Left without purchasing anything.

We have ordered a condo full of Pottery Barn furniture. The sofa and matching chairs are horribly uncomfortable. I would not recommend the full sofa or the matching chairs.
