Excellent grocery store. Good off brands and great selection of organ8c products. Not big, but has what you need. Br8ng your own bags, buy their solid plastic ones for 10 cents each or get empty boxes off the shelf. Just remember to bring a quarter for the shopping cart (refunded if you return it). Quality products, just cost cutting in a lot of places which is why it is so much better priced.

I always come here for grocery, sometime more than twice a week. Aldi has discounted products with red tags, but you need to remind the cashier, since the one helps you check out may not be completely trained. I like the shopping experience with cashier Audra, she is nice, patient, and especially skillful in price adjustment. She can do the price adjustment with my current order and then apply the returned amount immediately, rather than ask me wait aside.

Aldi has amazing deals and is a clean environment to shop. The employees are kind and professional. It has that strong grocery store smell that I love, you get your quarter back when you return your cart, BYOB which I feel encourages people to use recyclable or waste free bags. The coolest part is the employees get to sit down when they check you out. That I absolutely love. And Ive heard the cashiers get paid like 15 bucks an hour. So here you have a clean, well stocked, eco friendly environment with happily employed staff. Wonderful I enjoy shopping here.

Good food, decent prices, but when Ive compared their prices to other grocery stores in the area, it wasnt much of a savings, sometimes they were even higher on milk or other staples. Very disappointing

What can I say!? What can I say! WHAT CAN I SAY! The variety of produce and the how fresh, is amazing! Gluten free, low carb foods, whole grain foods items Ive never new exhisted. The hubby was recently diagnosed with Diabetes and the variety and choices was so helpful in meal planning. Im an old fashion southern cook and this diet change has been hard! But let me ţ tell you how fun and creative Im going to be. Thank you Aldi for helping me out!

The newly remodeled store is just what we needed in Carbondale! The store is clean, organized, and stocked. I can admit before the remodel, I would drive to Marion because the store was the opposite. My thoughts have changed. I find myself there often great friendly workers!

Moldy packaged food

Nice budget shop. Various fresh vegetables and fruits can buy here. However I remember that we need to bring our bags to this shop because they are charging if not.Quite different experience compared to other similar places in the vicinity. Parking is spacious.

Recent renovation as of September 2020. Store looks more modern and appears to have improved selection of products. Store looks cleaner and better lit. Improved lighting and flow of movement between aisles.

Clean facility with friendly workers. What you would expect when going to an Aldi. Between the times of noon and 5pm are very busy and crowded so if that stresses you out then I would suggest going at other times.

This is my favorite place to shop! Everything is always so cheap, employees are always helpful and the store is always clean. As with any store, food can be damaged such as eggs and bread, but when scanning items they tend to be a little rough when putting items in cart. Produce tends to go bad quickly because everything is organic, but if eating the same day or next day is amazing!

Best Aldis Ive ever been to!

Love this place, they have good quality food for a reasonable price, and they have regular specials with new things to try so its not just the same stuff all of the time. Be warned, if you consider going for the first time, bring a quarter so you can get a cart, and bring reusable bags if you have any, if you dont have any and youre getting a lot, they usually have some near the checkout and they usually collect empty boxes of goods that can also be used to transport your groceries to your car. They do not have cart corrals so you have to take the cart back up or you can offer it to any customers about to enter.

Good for certain items that are gluten free. Fruit very hut or miss as far as quality. Not your typical grocery store as far as brands go (if youve never been to an ALDI store).

Great priced quality produce section and great random stuff. Not the greatest selection overall . This store is ran very Efficient. Friendly staff helpful. Employees appear motivated and if there is a line they try to pick up pace/open more lanes .

Aldi won me over in other places and its the best place to shop for groceries in Carbondale. You have to get a little used to the fact that they close early, you have to remember to bring a quarter so you can get a cart, and that you either have to bring your own bags, use their empty boxes from the store, or buy bags at the checkout to bring your groceries home. The employees are also cheery and helpful, which is way different from some other grocery stores.

Really like their variety of quality products. Its definitely not the same store it was 10 years ago. Ive heard it from many people and will reiterate it here because its true. Go to any chain grocer and $100 will get you a few bags of stuff. If you visit Aldi, youll fill the cart. I rarely remember to bring my bags so instead I just repurpose my laundry basket and can usually get everything into the house in one trip.

Love this store you will cut your grocery price in half going here .You do have to bag your own or buy sacks or get a box inside to take to your card but they have imported cheeses and a variety of items including wines !

You pay a solid quarter to get a shopping cart and 6 cents per paper bag-- what I didnt know at first. I was amazed at the quality, variety, and savings at this store. Nice workers, wonderful customers, and so many different items they sell...I went in happy as 1st time shopper, and I left out being even happier.

My favorite grocery store. Great products. Bring a quarter for the cart which you get nack at the end and bring your own grocery bags. You can buy grocery sacks for 6 to 10 cents each if needed.

Best prices. Quality goods. Some things arent as good as name brand (doritos knock offs, and soda knock offs) but everything else is just as good or better in my opinion. Cant beat the 35 cent avocados!

Aldis is becoming a decent economical place to shop. The prices are not high and the food quality is good. I especially love the healthy and organic options availible.

Aldi is a great grocery store that not only saves me a lot of money, but time as well.They have a great selection of Organic foods.Since the store is smaller, I know what I like/need/want and am out.I wish I could give them a 5* review, but the produce Dept has gone downhill. For example, I like to purchase bananas on the green side - and let them ripen up at home. Their bananas just go from green, to BAD. Not sure how its possible, but has happened too many times to purchase here anymore. A lot of times the produce or bags themselves are very sticky... Just, stick to Cdale Kroger or Schnucks in that area.Make sure to bring a Quarter to rent the cart, you get it back - and bring along (inside with you) your own insulated freezer bags, and large reusable bags (TJ Maxx are the best!!) as they bag NOTHING. If you want to purchase bags, paper are available at a minimal cost.BEWARE; THE CHECKERS ARE VERY ROUGH WITH YOUR GROCERIES SO PUT ALL FRAGILE ITEMS LAST ON THE BELT!!!
