We keep our RV in College Station during football season and tailgate on campus. We needed propane and the folks at uhaul filled us up quickly. I bet I was not on their property form more then 20 minutes from the time I drove in, they filled me up, i paid & drove off. Just cannot complain about that service!

They try to find any stupid way to charge you. I rented a unit for one month. I evacuated the unit before the due date and infomed the front desk clearly that I moved out from the unit. But they started to charge me monthly and they told me that you had to take a picture of the evacuated room! I think there are much better places in the town that you can rent a unit with much lower price.

Randy is amazing and went out of his way to fix an issue that was created by Uhaul corporate and was able to provide a solution when I was frustrated. Renting equipment can have its issues but Randy and this location are rockstars!

I drove off and left my $279 b&w tow ball hitch mount right infront of the store. I called and they said the person who was working left so they will ask them about it the next day and call me back. Never called. I live 6 hours away but go every 3-4 weeks to college station. This I will call you back thing happen 4 times with no call ever happening. I went in-person, and two of the employees remember picking up the ball mount but they could not find it. They said they would wait for the hitch guy to come in and that I would definitely get a call, call never happened. I called today guy said I will call back in 20-30 minutes,almost 3 hours later I called again. They female I talked to said the one they have is not like the one I described and that the other employee that said he picked it up and put it inside must have been mistaken about the description and simply asked it they something else I can help you with, basically dismissing the whole thing. Apparently a manger is hardly ever around this place because except for one time, I simply got the manager is not here but we will call you back. That clearly doesnt mean anything to these people.

My experience at this store was a pathetic excuse for a failure. I was lied to about the optional insurance. Despite having chosen to opt out of the optional insurance on multiple occasions (when making the reservation and at the store). To top this awful experience I wasn’t just charged for basic insurance, but I was charged for their premium insurance. If you can avoid this uhaul location please do so. The only thing you will find is remarkably terrible customer service and manipulation.

I stopped by this location twice and saw how busy they were, given that it is college move in time and of course “turn” activity happening with general residents. Turn means people leases are up so they are moving which makes this time of the year for rental properties “turn “.On my third visit, on a Sunday after church I stopped by to make a reservation and was greeted by KJ and BJ, one took my reservation, while the other recommended the type of dolly and truck I needed to tow my vehicle. And also he showed me box inventory. They do have plenty of boxes!I didn’t have any issues with reservations, it was a Sunday and although there was activity on the storage side - it didn’t affect the sales side.Reservation was made for a pick up at the University store since they had the inventory. I was a bit annoyed by having to travel an additional 3 miles, but agreed bc it’s move in time in CSTAT, so inventory can fluctuate. Also keep in mind - these locations are feeders to the Houston area. So take the inventory they offer. I see a lot of reviews about logistics and inventory concerns.Today (8/25/21), I followed up my reservation and wanted to check with this location availability. I spoke to Justin (manager), he heard me out, and figured out a solution to have me pick up equipment from his store. Justin made a call to Dallas (University) store to square my concerns. I did speak to Dallas (review on his store).This review is for reservation made in person on a Sunday, confirming availability, and internal service. I made a reservation two months in advance for storage because I know July is the busiest moving month. However, when I went there to get access to the storage, they said they do not have any storage available!Update: Tom, took care of the problem. He helped me secure a storage at this location.

To start off my experience with uhaul was pretty rocky to say the least, I had originally made a reservation with a different location on July 15th to pick up a truck on the 30th just to get a call the day before i was supposed to pick up telling me that there was no trucks available. I did end up getting a truck from this location and turned it in the next but was charged a whole bunch of different fees that didn’t make sense, at first i was very upset about this but Uhaul worked with me and refunded all the money that was charged.

Terrible customer service very rude and basically just a nonchalant attitude about being helpful to and for other threw my belongings away out of a pickup truck I rented and had me waiting for 3days just to say ohh well you shouldn’t have left them in there just rude I highly suggest hiring new employees and a new manager as well except the lady Bri she was very helpful

U Box is a joke. Never use this service. Literally use anything else! They only pick up and drop off on Sunday and Wednesday for Houston-College Station service. I reserved a single box June 25th quoted at $69.95 for July 18th drop off. They won’t let you schedule drop off until the day before. I called on the 17th and they said they couldn’t deliver it the 18th and it would have to be the 21st. I argue as this is not what my reservation was for and my lease ends on the 22nd. They drop it off on the 19th, a Monday. I pay another delivery fee! Bringing the current total to $180.95. Which I’ve argued to get back with no success. Today is the scheduled pick up day. I was given a 9:00-12:00 pm window. It is 4:10 and they are still “45 minutes out” for the 4th time today. I’ve called every hour. I’ve asked to schedule the second drop off which they apparently can’t do until it’s picked up. I need this on the 28th, next Wednesday, at a different location. I call back at 4:00 and now there’s no availability for the 28th drop off?! I am EXTREMELY unhappy with this service. I would love to speak to regional head manager and discuss the level of disorganization they operate under.

Made a reservation 3 weeks in advance for a truck, and was called and told there were none available, 16 hours before my move. After 3 frustrating phone calls I was told they would have one for me after all. When trying to call the morning of my move to confirm the truck had arrived, the employee was extremely rude and hung up on me after saying she “was busy and didn’t have time to look”. After this move I will never rent from U-Haul again.

Try to get propane refill, employee had no idea what he was doing, then he said I will call my manager to come and refill and went back to office. Never came back no letting me know what he is going to do. I went back to office and found him sitting and dealing with other customers. When I asked who is going to come and help and when, he answer whenever the manager has time. I asked when is it, he reply again whenever he can.This is the worst custumer service and most disrespectful staff.

I rented a truck for 24 hours. My total for the truck, insurance and 19.7 miles should have been approximately $63.00. So I was surprised to receive an email saying my charge was $193.00!Fortunately I had a receipt for fuel as well as a picture of the dash showing mileage and fuel level. My phone also time stamped the photo.I had to spend almost a half hour on the phone to resolve an issue which should not have occurred.An employee met me at check in (9:57am) and told me I was good. My truck wasn’t checked in until almost 2:00pm and the fuel level was noted as empty. That’s why the charges were so high.Tom took care of it, but I am pretty disappointed this happened in the first place when they force you to do everything online and then they still mess things up.

Manager seemed to be struggling with computer systems, was very obviously scattered and overwhelmed when I went to pick up the trailer. It took her over 30 minutes to get one customer before me checked in and about 10 minutes to get me checked in all the while complaining about the computer and her employees that called in. When I went to hook up to the trailer the manager and her two trainees were standing between the truck and trailer when I was backing up to it. I had to stop backing up and request that they move to the sides of the truck and trailer before I proceeded to back up. This place needs better managment and some good hands to help out.

I made a reservation 2 months in advance because I know July 31st is the busiest moving day in this college town. I made my reservation to be picked up with Express pickup so I wouldnt have to wait in line. When I got there the Express pickup wasnt working. I went inside and there was a line of over 20 people waiting. Apparently the Express pickup wasnt working. I waited in line for 2.5 hours and when I finally got to the front I was told they didnt have a truck for me. I MADE A RESERVATION! There is no reason they dont have the correct equipment. I asked if I could take a smaller truck, but they said that it would take someone elses reservation. They said theyd call around and see if another location near us had one. Its been 30 minutes and they are helping other people with no attempt to let us know what is going on. Worst customer service.

Came here to get 2 propane tanks refilled. It was very busy, understandable since its a Friday night. There was a long line, and one staff member at the desk. Everyone in line was aggravated, and getting argued with by the customer service representative. Finally, a second person came to the front. I told him I needed my tanks filled and he rolled his eyes, sighed, and said he would meet me outside. It took a very, very long time and the wait time to pay was over 1/2 hour. The customer service reps were so burned out and inattentive, we could have left without paying, but would never ever do so.Please consider better staffing and organization, and lessons in customer service. Not one person was smiling in the store, including the employees.

I dont about their storage stuff, but the service on propane is absolutely horrible. I dont like bashing a business, but the owner/operator must not be interested in making money because the staff there just turns customers away! Being the only place that does refills after 5pm, theyve got a window for revenue. Unfortunately, when I went (3/27/19) the staff told me they could refill my tank, but the guy didnt feel like it, sorry....well then. Id steer clear if like at least less than decent service, cause they wont ever give you that. Just a heads yall!

I dropped a trailer off on Aug 8th here after renting it the day before in Plano, TX. They were very busy and said they would just email me the receipt. It appears it never got checked in. I am now billed several hundred dollars because the trailer was rented back out and dropped in Houston later by someone else but remained under my contract number. Do not leave without getting a printed receipt at this location. They are making it near impossible to resolve.

I had a hitch put on my vehicle when I was in San Antonio, and the wiring wasnt right. They took care of it on the spot. Also, the people on shift were very informative and friendly. Its also a one stop and shop place, they have storage units to vehicles to installing to supplies! Even propane! Great place!

# read this sh#$Only have 1 star to say these people billed me twice and for hundreds more than my original 30 dollar charge and I complained to the manager that ended up refunding the lesser amount that he said he couldnt refund. The wrong name was on my contract which I should have looked at more carefully but it did have my address and other info correctly. Even the amount they were supposed to charge then charged my daughter 118.00 and 85.00 and tried to crawfish out of all of it. For a 30.00 charge this is ridiculous.

So the people who work here are very nice but during busy weekends the wait in insane! I’m talking up to 45 minutes to pick up your uhaul! And then they wanted me to return the truck sooner then my reserved time because they were so busy. They need better parking and a better truck pick up system. But in the end they let me keep my truck for my desired time and the people themselves are nice... just sad to see it so unorganized...

Great services - haven’t had any issues. I am currently renting out a starge room and I’m pretty happy with the monthly payments. The staff are friendly and are willing to work with you. The trucks aren’t the best but these trucks get the job done.

If only they would put out a sign at the blind remote propane refill area Back @ 7pm/whatever when no one certified to fill is present, it would save unloading tanks, only to have to load them again.

Do not use the self-storage at this location! As friendly as the staff are, they dont seem to know how to operate or troubleshoot their own system. System would not accept my card as payment multiple times, I ordered a new card thinking mine was faulty, still nothing and no one from their tech dept. could explain why. I was then locked out of the online access while they troubleshoot my account to which I still have no access even though I receive e-mails regarding late fees accruing on my account. Moving my things literally ANYWHERE else next month.

I booked my reservation for July 31st picking up a 9:00 AM over one month in advance. I just got a text from the UHAUL corp letting me know that the location moved my reservation to 5:30 PM the next day. Dont waste your time making a reservation here because they wont honor the reservation and when you ask how the reservation got changed they will put you on hold or just hang up on you. Worst customer care/ service I have EVER experienced!

After driving across the country to return my U-Haul to this location I noticed I had received an additional charge of almost $100 to my U-Haul order, on top of the $1200 order.Upon calling multiple times about the issue, I finally spoke to Robert Reed the manager of this U-Haul location. They listed an additional charge as a WRONG DROP OFF LOCATION. However I dropped it off here (The correct drop off location). I was assured Id be refunded immediately, however its now been 2 weeks and multiple calls later and still nothing.I finally called U-Haul customer service, and the rep told me that no refund was ever put into the system. Thanks for NOT doing your JOB Robert.Avoid this U-Haul.

I needed boxes for moving. They were on point when suggesting how many boxes I needed and what sizes. Seems like a menial thing, but when youre not used to moving and storage the advice is helpful. I appreciated them carried the boxes to my car. (I didnt have to ask.) Conveniently located, but getting in and out is a bit dicey depending on the time of day.

Ordered a trailer hitch through U-Haul. After receiving a receipt with confirmation of order and appointment to install the hitch, they did not have my order ready when I arrived (even though I called about 3 hours previous to verify my appointment time). They did not call to tell me it was not ready and then they tried to say it was my fault that the order was not put in for a week late. The manager was very rude. I would not recommend doing business with them at all.

Booked online for a 26 foot rental in town for 40 bucks-arrived to pick it up- they had one 26 footer but were going to charge me 130 dollars to rent it because it had to be a one way trip- wasnt the workers fault- but the UHAUL computer system would not give me the truck for the intown rate- it was a complete waste of time. Penske is the better route in BCS

Great customer service! Unfortunately I was provided an inner city truck when I was driving long distance to move, so my UHAUL truck did break down. Accidents happen, but everyone from the Roadside Assistence, the mechanic that came out to help, and the store manager were all SO helpful!! What could have been a terrible and stressful situation all worked out fine. The store manager at this location went above and beyond to make things right! Couldn’t be more thankful!!

Im not thrilled that I even have to give these people 1 star. Consistently awful service. I went in to rent a trailer. The website wouldnt allow me to make a reservation. I pulled in and there were dozens of trailers on the lot. I went in and told the young man working what I needed, and he said he couldnt rent to a walk in. I needed a reservation. Told him the website didnt work and asked if I could make a reservation. Again, he said no. He flat out refused to help or give any information other than my manager said no walk in rentals.

The staff doesnt know what they are doing. Constant errors in booked times and mixing up the schedules. They are also understaffed and need double the size of the employees they currently have. Staff shows up late for work in the morning with a line of customers going all the way outside of the building. Terribly managed place.

Robert and Christopher were just amazing. My van gave them such trouble to get the wiring compatible with the entire situation and they went beyond the call of duty making sure we knew what they problem was, why it was taking time, gave me extra days for renting due the to time issue, got me a dolly, talked me thru driving a trailer this big (12 x 6!!!!) and I even scored a couple free pens!!! *giggle*I recommend you get ALL YOUR SUPPLIES from them. They rock. xo

I have to give the place 5 stars because I was the first in line and the gal opened early. There were 10 people in line behind me by the time we finished the transaction. She tried to hustle but seemed short staffed for summer weekend move out of apartment time at Texas A&M. On a down note, this was the 2nd College Station Uhaul rental that didnt have any washer fluid in the tank. Come on Uhaul, you can do it better!

My husband made an appointment many days in advance to get a trailer hitch installed along with the wiring, at this particular U-haul store. When he arrived on the appointment day and time, they had to look for the hitch and after making him wait for an hour, they finally told him that they had sold his hitch and did not have another but would call around to see if they could find one, which we fully expect NOT to hear from them at all. This is NOT good business. He made the appointment because we were going out of town the next day and needed the hitch to pull a trailer loaded with items, and now, since their incompetence, we are in a rush to find a hitch and someone to install it and the necessary wiring, which is proving to be NOT an easy task.We, to say the very least, are extremely disappointed in our local U-haul, this particular store, and will forever more find elsewhere to give our business, of which is a most frequent event.

The GOOD (but kinda disorganized good and reason for 2 stars instead of 1):1) Rented a dolly, truck, trailer, and ubox then got to the apt and there was no dolly. At least they refunded it but would have been nicer to move with it.2) Had the wrong mileage recorded on truck and tried to charge 60 miles instead of the 15. Again, they only charged what I said I drove.The BAD:1) Was not told I needed a lock for ubox nor that I should have written down ubox number (I guess its printed somewhere on a sticker on the box?) until a week later when they called to charge me for one of their locks with assurances that the keys would be mailed to me (11 mailing days later, still no keys). Have tried to call but theres no number directly to their location so you have to get the service to leave them a message to call you back (did it twice but they never called me). They also added an extra bolt to close the u-box and our tools were packed so in addition to bolt cutters we had to buy pliers just to open the box.2) Didnt use any of the furniture pads and so they were in the back of the truck when we dropped it off. Guy said it would be fine hed take care of it. Got to destination and unloaded ubox where uhaul says we should have kept the furniture pads as we are charged for any missing ones.3) Got a call 9 days after dropping off ubox asking if I had cancelled the box because it showed we never dropped one off. Long story short they found it but then created an extra contract to charge me for a second ubox so the delivery date guarantee would be later so they wouldnt have to refund me anything for being delivered late.TL;DR This location is extremely disorganized and have made an already stressful move even more so.

I went to this location to rent a cargo trailer and the man (I didnt get his name) immediately told us there were none available at this location or any surrounding locations. We asked if we could be put on a waiting list and when he checked the computer he suddenly found that he was mistaken and there were trailers available. He told us our total would be around $400. We asked why the rate was so high and he told us that because there is low availability in the area, the rates went up. We left and I immediately got online to check other locations in the area. We reserved the same trailer for $150 at a location about 3 miles from this one.

Overcharged me twice. Once, returned vehicle the day before due date and they overcharged me for returning the vehicle late. They even called me and I told them vehicle was already returned and they still overcharged me. Then, rented a trailer. Arrived late for pickup by 45 minutes, counted on them extending the 6 hour period from time of pickup. Still returned trailer only 20 minutes late than original drop off time. Charged me an extra day for the trailer.
