The first thing I noticed were the mini quiches in the display when I walked in. They have a good variety that were flavorful and my family enjoyed them.I got the croissant sandwich which was good. The croissant was a little overbaked (dark) for my taste on the outside but still a consistent flaky croissant nonetheless. The coffee was a big disappointment. It was way too tannin. If you are prone to acid stomach from over extracted coffee, I would not buy a cup here.So my disappointment came when I asked about the baguettes. I asked if the baguettes were sourdough, made with yeast culture vs. packaged quick rising yeast. The person assisting me answered something to the tune of I dont know, it is a baguette.I realize a patisserie is not necessarily a bakery but still, really?9 hours later I still have the sour mouth from that cup of tannin.I am very saddened because I wanted to like this place; it is very hard to find a good patisserie in the Chicago area. There hes a lot of physical charm to Pâtisserie Coralie. However, coffee is a compliment item to pastries that you cannot get wrong. It is like selling the best Ultra 4K television with only VHS machines on the shelves for content.

Overall: Given the ambiance I expected great flavors, but was unfortunately left disappointed and with a hefty bill. The good: The bread for the prosciutto and brie sandwich was everything youd expect from a patisserie, and the ambience matches that expectation as well. There isnt a ton of seating, but thats almost a good thing. Theres a decent amount of sweets and drinks to choose from. The not-so-good: The food as a whole was disappointing. The prosciutto and brie sandwich had minimal amounts of either, and it was hardly worth $8 (not to mention the sandwich itself was tiny). The Paris on my lips did not match the description at all and was a waste. There were no lime zest or mint tastes at all, the strawberry confit was minimal at best, and the whole thing just felt like eating icing off a wedding cake (which Im not against, but thats not what I ordered for $7).Food: 5/10Atmosphere: 8/10Service: 7/10

This is my go to place in Evanston for a great (and I mean luscious) latte, wonderful croissants, cozy indoor or outdoor seating, and a warm, sit down book reading afternoon. The manager Taylor makes a world class latte (as does Alice, Josh and the other baristas) that feels more like a rich dessert than a drink. Alice is warm and welcoming, and makes sure you feel comfortable and pleased with the experience. The baguettes have that Parisian/European taste that must come from a special wheat they use, or maybe its just the love they put into it. I love spending my time in Patisserie Coralie. Its not just Paris. It is Love.

This place is a hidden gem in Evanston. This was my first time wandering downtown Evanston and we noticed this cute French bakery. Too bad due to covid you aren’t allowed to sit indoors because the inside is cute. The pastries look amazing and they have a wide selection of warm drinks. They do have outdoor seating but it is very chilly out. We got a pear tart and a caramel apple dome pastery. I highly recommend trying the caramel apple dome! Would definitely come back to try more pastries and support an awesome small business!

Cozy place for a cappuccino with a sandwich. I wish they had other types of bread (healthier), besides the baguettes. And also perhaps cleaning the tables more thoroughly. We sat at the corner table with large chairs by the window; and there were some stains. The salmon sandwich was good, we enjoyed.

The patisserie was a lovely surprise in Evanston. We ordered three Le Royale breakfast option. One with baguette and a breakfast pastry and the other with two breakfast pastries. The baguette was good, nice shell and soft inside. Of course the butter was on point for a French bakery. The butter croissant was large and oddly shaped, not it was flaky, had a nice firm shell, and tasted good. The almond croissant was very nice. The almonds covering it were perfectly toasted. Delicious. Nice service. Very popular by the number of people filling through.

Dont expect a good tasting latte, because their roast tastes like it was burnt. I bought a caramel latte, and I didnt like the way it tasted and I let the barista know, who said she would make the exception and make me a different drink. Its not an exception, its what you should be doing for all your customers, but ok. Another lady came in saying she didnt like the way the coffee tasted,( which was my complaint), and tell me why the barista was like thats the first Ive heard that, and saying things like Oh cant please everyone. No you actually can please some people if you maybe cleaned your coffee makers and used actual good roast. Also the store is nasty, pay attention to the un wiped tables and floors. Really living up to the french stereotype. Moreover she said the customers here werent raised right.

Ive come to Coralie multiple times in the past, but today was a rather horrible experience. Their store hours on Google says that they are open at 7:30AM on Sunday (see picture). So I got there at 7:30AM sharp, because I was hoping to place a large order for a special occasion. When I got there, the door was locked, but there were still two employees inside. I knocked a couple times to get their attention, but the lady with glasses at the register glanced at me once and completely ignored me. As a business owner of a food establishment, I understand that you may not be ready to open on the dot, so I waited outside for a few minutes. Still nothing.I was standing outside in the cold for 15 minutes, and the lady with glasses at the register did her very best to completely ignore me the entire time. Finally I got so fed up that I started knocking repeatedly and the lady just motions for me to call the phone. Apparently their answering machine says that they are open at 8:00AM on Sundays, not 7:30AM, like advertised on Google. Note that it took 15 minutes for her to simply acknowledge my existence and produce a gesture.I started knocking more, and the baker comes to the door and points to their business hour sign. Its in French. I understand and appreciate that youre going for a whole French aesthetic, but it doesnt do any good for non-French speaking customers. Finally the lady with glasses comes out, and says very condescendingly, You can also just Google it. I tell her I already did and that Google says they are open at 7:30AM. She shrugs and walks away. Let me repeat, after completely ignoring me for 15 minutes, she just shrugs and walks away like its not any of her business. How hard would it have been to do anything at any point earlier? The lady with the glasses also said something to the effect of how its illegal to be open earlier? Well, Bennisons was open and happy to take my business. I wont be coming back to Coralie. Im sorry, but you guys lost a faithful patron to your business because of your total lack of customer service and utter rudeness.

This is a great locally owned spot to grab a cup of tea, coffee, croissant, macarons, pastry, etc. As local Evanstonians, we come here many weekend mornings to sit outside, sip our drinks, people watch and discuss our business ideas. The service is consistently good (it can be a tiny bit slow if you happen to come during a rush - no fault of the employees). The younan black iced tea is brewed well, the pastries are very tasty, the coffee, while decent and fresh, can be bitter. Overall one of the better if not best cafe in town. So why four stars? The coffee should be exquisite, but just leaves a bit to be desired in our opinion. Definitely worth visiting/patronizing though.

I cant recommend Coralie enough, both for a quick bite on your way to work or for a delicious and elevated catering order for your team. We receive deliveries from Coralie several times a month, and our clients rave about their pastries. Fiona is extremely pleasant and easy to work with, and ensures that all of our deliveries are on time and high quality; it seems shes never too busy or too tired to go the extra mile. In-store, Coralies employees are friendly and well-informed. For special events, the staff and pastry chef have worked together to produce custom-designed macarons with our company logo iced on. Its very clear that everyone here takes great pride in their product and in their customer service. We will continue to use Coralie both for our routine catering and for special events.

Coralie has recently started doing afternoon tea (yes - proper afternoon tea!), and I was so happy to give it a try. It was overall wonderful. The sandwiches and sweets were delicious, and there were so many tea options, which were also delicious. Our server was super nice (I feel so bad for forgetting his name but he was working at noon on 3/5!), and we felt very relaxed and had a great time. My one and only complaint is that the design of the teapots is a little wonky, so its nearly impossible to pour your tea without spilling. Otherwise, great experience and VERY reasonably priced.

While walking through Evanston a friend and I stopped here for a light lunch. I ordered the salmon quiche and a matcha latte. My friend ordered the ham & cheese croissant. Our orders came quickly and we sat outside. My quiche was outstanding. The crust, made with French butter, was perfect. The filing had a perfect texture and flavor. The size was exactly right for a light lunch. My matcha latte was small for the price but delicious, no sweetener added, which is how I like it. September 2020 they had limited indoor seating and several tables outside. I will make a point to come here again as several items on their menu look wonderful. They offer catering and private tea parties according to their flyers. Their macarons have only natural coloring.
