I’ve been to so many many Starbucks in Michigan and different states, but their proportion of foam in the cappuccino is perfect! They could work on increasing their staff instead of having people wait in long lines!

No flare no genesequa. Although very busy the customer service seems to me a little pedestrian for my taste. All my other half girl that frappuccino out of this world. Youre definitely there 420 recommended

Its fairly clear why this is such a frequented place in downtown Evanston. The ambiance is nice and cozy, with warm lighting, copious seating, and wood decor; also, the baristas have always been super accomodating and helpful, especially for a coffee newcomer like me.

Comparing to other Starbucks and to other coffee shops in the area, this one is simply average.Coffee: you know what you will get, so, no surprises.Service: had different experiences here. One attendant was super nice and made sure to go above and beyond. In another visit, had one attendant kinda laconic.Store design: a little counter-intuitive. I would prefer to enter and have the ordering place right in front of me. Now, I kinda have to look for how to access the ordering place.Music: too loud. It would be okay for a bar. But, I’d expect a calmer mood in this place.Lastly, did Starbucks stop calling by people’s names? I understand my name is super hard for English speakers, but my wife’s is very easy. Both times I went there they didn’t even try. They didnt call other customers by their names either.

Yummy Coffee and Great Staff. Nice

They really just didn’t seem to care. Cups are sloppy. Bad attitudes. One girl just throwing sandwiches on the counter, rolling eyes and walking away. I am assuming the girl who was chastising her was the manager, but doing it in front of customers. Seemed understaffed. Long lines. The friendliest person was the girl talking the order but chatting so much with the line as long as it was. 25 minutes start to finish to get my drink and my order still was not correct Shane because I used to like going here.

This Starbucks store is very spacial, with a lot of places to work with a laptop are sit and talk. Only several tables outside (for the summer months). Employees are nice and the service is fast.The mango dragon fruit drink is really good 😚🐉🍊!!!

Tried to go in to buy some coffee, but was accosted by a female employee for not wearing a face mask. I wear a shield because of a medical reason-I cant wear a mask. I tried to explain that I cant wear a mask and she told me to leave. So my companion and I left without purchasing anything. VERY DISSAppointed in the attitude displayed by such a prominent company. The ADA will be informed.

Reuben Was great. He anticipated my every need. Delicious papaya cocoanut concoction. Then Emile came in from the street. A 40 year old former Airborne Officer wondering whether Northwestern was for him. He had a B.A. in Political Science. So doI!.mWow. Political,Science. Imagine Politics is a SCIENCE!!

Ample space and fast service

Ordered on my mobile and got there about 5 minutes later and my drinks were ready for pick up. They were also made well and filled up to the top. The place it self looks clean and big with extra space on the outside to sit and enjoy. In front is street parking. Will come back.

Standard Starbucks store setup, very spacious with a lot of tables and chairs where you can work on a computer or relax and have cup of tea or coffee. This time I order passion Tango tea lemonade and really enjoyed it on a hot summer day.

They have taken away all the tables and chairs and closed the bathrooms even the cream and sugar but your dirty possibly infected hands could touch every sandwich salad and drink there I guess they missed the memo on that part see photos

Super service and beautiful place

This Starbucks is open until midnight, which Im pretty sure is quite uncommon for a Starbucks. Their service is great and its got a large area with tons of seating.

One of the best Starbucks Ive been to. Its large and has a variety of seating options, and has better service than other locations. It is packed with Northwestern students to the point where it seems like a kind of extension of campus. Better atmosphere than any Starbucks downtown. I also saw Jerry Springer here one morning.

Nice big coffee shop in downtown Evanston across from Northwestern University. Its modern, comfortable and draws a hip and diverse urban crowd.

I’ve been to so many Starbucks locations and this one, by far, has the nicest store. Very spacious! However, the service is very slow. Often times there’ll be a line and even though there’s plenty of employees behind the counter, movement of orders is still slow. (This is in comparison to other Starbucks locations.)Otherwise, the ambiance is great!

Open until late and opens bright and early. A bit crowded and drinks and food items can be a bit slow at times. Certainly a good spot for people watching. The most of the staff are friendly with regulars whereas the other are well not exactly what I expect as a Starbucks standard. Sometimes I wonder if everyday is a bad day for them. Bathroom is generally fairly clean. Lots of different seating options but its often pretty busy so much of it is taken. You can reserve a table for a group and generally get it although sometimes they will kick people off a table that they forgot to post a reserved signage for. Cool wireless charging stations built into some of the tables. Its just off campus and in downtown which makes it easy to walk to or find a parking spot. it appears they have worked hard at changing things over the past year to make it better. Kudos!

I come to this Starbucks almost every day. It is my retreat, from life where I can come to focus and work,while enjoying some classic Starbucks coffee and great service. The staff, which I have all, either met or (mostly) encountered, has treated me with kindness. Thank you for services and your hospitality.

I love this Starbucks because its huge and has a nice variety of seating. The big, long tables are great when youre doing work and gotta spread out. This place is consistently crowded with Northwestern students and a million people on apple laptops, but its still good.

The sales gal at this Barnes & Noble was so warm, friendly & helpful. Being that I was visiting from out-of-state, I was all the more delighted by one of such fabulous character traits!

Nice service

The lattes are consistently good and the seasonal drinks include coffees that are familiar as well as unique. The staff is professional and when something goes wrong they make sure to fix it and do something extra for you. When someone took my drink, though it wasnt their fault, they made me another and gave it to me on the house. Much of the year the hours are also late, some of the latest in the area - midnight, though they close earlier for a period in the winter. It can get crowded being close to a university and so seating is sometimes at a premium.

I love this Starbucks. The staff is super friendly and the space is great, but the music is way too loud. My friend and I came here to study and we felt as if the music just kept on getting louder and louder. I understand that a coffee shop is also supposed to be a space to meet up and chat with others, but the volume was at a point where it was difficult to hear my friend talk. I felt like we were at a bar, not a coffee shop.I even kindly asked the barista to see if they could turn down the music. Im not sure if the employees have control of the music volume, so Im not blaming them. However, I do hope that they bring up this issue to management.

This particular SBUX location is quite unique, almost boutique. Situated one block south of Northwestern University it can be crowded and still comfortable. The room is split into multiple defined spaces, each with its own character and social atmosphere. Being placed on the west side of the street its possible even on warm days to relax in their shaded outdoor seating. Great for people watching.

In my opinion, this is the best Starbucks. I have only been here early in the morning, the staff are so pleasant and helpful. They have blonde on tap instead of doing a pour over, which doesnt compare to the real thing. And the food choices, for me, have been fresh, delicious and the bananas were not bruised! They deserve 5 stars!

The environment is very nice. Customer service is excellent. Very busy location so give your self time to wait.

Nice people

Nothing special. Just a normal Starbucks Café, with overpriced coffee and snack prices. But I guess you pay for the experience and use of their area. It is a nice and relaxed place to hang out, work, or just watch people and relax. I wouldnt recommend it though for the coffee or snacks; other places are better on that!

One guy on the team needs customer service training. I asked for a honey packet and he asked me to stay in line to get it 😂 way to go dude!

This is second time I’ve had a bad experience at this particular starbucks, I am also appalled seeing that I’m a former employee of Starbucks for 3-4 years. I took a friend in to the cafe New Year’s Eve for lunch from work my friend orders a heated croissant ...there was a mix up between chocolate or plain but she wanted plain and when she informed the y’all red headed male with gauge earrings and big beard and a limp throws a fit which we are confused why he goes makes the pastry over ...then he barks at his employee in front of everyone with an intense tone telling him to make the drink correctly also I ordered a refresher with light ice where he leaves two inches of room when I’m paying close to five dollars for a venti. Part of this I believe is race relations. Sad to say I don’t see other customers of different nationalities get treated the same!

Great team in a university town. They can get extremely busy at times and it may seem like it takes forever but making a good Starbucks drink takes time. Ive never had a bad drink from this location and come in at least 3-4 times a week.

Starbucks are starbucks the world over. This one has a very good vibe and better than average seating - multi-level cushioned chair seating and bar height work spaces in addition to the more traditional seating up front. Overall, it was good experience.

Not enough space but great coffee

The sausage breakfast sandwich was good.

I was disappointed at the overall quality of the regular coffee. It was not even close to the other regular Starbucks. It just seemed like it had too much water. Will never go there again. Prefer the Pret a Manger across the street.

Starbucks have quiet rooms, nice comfortable chairs and good coffee when cold. I can stay four hours and nobody bothers me.

It is a nicely upgraded store with many seating options, although it does get busy at times. The morning rush may seem overwhelming but the staffing is usually well-matched to the anticipated demand and the line moves quickly. The selection of clover coffee is large for those who like the reserve beans or like to have a different brew than that is currently in the drip offering. (For those that arent aware, the clover machine is a sort of upside-down French press that is automated...making it fast enough to brew any beans on demand instead of taking the time for a French press or pour-over.) Evanston has so many coffee shop options but I find myself coming here the most for convenience and consistency, friendly staff, and with the reserve coffees on the clover machine I dont feel like Im sacrificing quality at all.

Always go to this place and its always great.

Not a good experience, unfortunately. Took me forever to pay for my drink, and waited forever to get something I never ordered. Total confusion, maybe due to the very busy time of the day. I had to trash my vanilla flavored drink in the garbage, can’t stand fake vanilla flavoring

Product quality is average. The setup is clunky and obtuse, with tables placed to serve as a border for the ordering line. Too many tables for large groups and not nearly enough for the more frequent groups of 2-4. The staff is also inconsistent in regard to attitude. Theyre not always blatantly unfriendly, but when theyre in a bad mood you can tell its affecting all of them.

Large location, lots of tables & great food and drinks

This is an extremely mentally unwell institution. Starbucks has consistently been a very mentally ill experience for myself as a MSW candidate for a Social Work degree from Loyola University Chicago, a Masters degree candidate to become a LCPC from Northwestern University, as a YouTube/Google affiliate, and as someone with over 30 jobs of professional experience. It seems that the people at this establishment consistently exhibit mentally ill behaviors without putting more effort into deciphering their surroundings and figuring out how to address situations without causing other people mental illnesses. I have been continually stalked at this location in the past and I do not tolerate this behavior at all. These reviews affect whether the 10,000+ individuals I have personally met will ever go to Starbucks overall. Improve my own experience if you ever want any business at any Starbucks locations. I take an extremely rigid approach when it comes to reprimanding this business.

Everyone is friendly and helpful. Our club meets there every Wednesday night, and the staff is always very accommodating.

The music here is too loud for working but otherwise they provides a pleasant and spacious environment. The internet connection here is free and often fast and they are usually open till late night.
