I called to check availability for an outboard motor. They didn’t have what I was looking for in stock, but they were very friendly, helpful and informative. I will definitely be a repeat customer and I’d recommend them to everyone I speak to.

We have brought our boat to these guys multiple times for everything from electrical to engine repair. We have been impressed with their ability to diagnose and fix every problem we present to them. Even the weird ones. They are honest, efficient, and always a great value. They dont push to up sell instead explain all the options, often suggesting the most economical, based on what they have seen that works, rather than the most expensive option. We highly recommend this shop. Trustworthy and experienced.

EXCELLENT SERVICE AT AFFORDABLE PRICES!! Big Dave worked on my 1981 Mercury V6 150 2 stroke. Rebuilt my carbs, did a tune up, complete service of lower unit including water pump rebuild, diagnosed a no spark problem and replaced my trigger and my motor now runs like its brand new. And the price came in less than what I expected. The boat was done on time and the job was done cleanly. Dave is a well spoken, friendly, extremely knowledgeable professional and I would recommend him and Cascade Marine to anyone!! They have all my business from here on out.

Five Stars! Id give them 10 if I could. I was having a problem with the hydraulic disc brakes on my tandem axle boat trailer. It appeared that the calipers were frozen due to rust (saltwater launches...) and the pads were not making contact with the rotors. While I was there, Id have them winterize the main outboard engine and the kicker. I fully expected to fork out a $1000 in just parts alone to have the calipers and rotors replaced. CMS listened to my description of the issues, investigated and tested the trailer brakes and determined that the problem was, in part, due to operator error (that would be me...). A contributing issue was a faulty cap on the trailer brake coupler - a $26.95 part that we installed in the parking lot. A less than reputable shop could have sold me a full brake job ($$$$) that I didnt need and I would have been very pleased to have my problem fixed. Not these guys. They took the time to find the real problem and fixed it for next to nothing. I cant thank them enough for their honesty and integrity. The only negative: it takes a while to get an appointment. Their shop is alway busy (I wonder why....) so if you need work done, dont wait! It is worth the drive to Everett to have CMS work on your boat or trailer. I am one very satisfied and appreciative customer. Thanks guys!

Very knowledgeable! I run an older boat and have gone to these guys on several occasions for parts. I do my own wrenching, so I cant comment on service here. As far as knowledge and overall helpfulness/friendliness they are top notch. They know what questions to ask to make sure you walk out with the right parts. Prices seem fair.

I was referred to your shop by a friend who had some work done with you in the past. He instructed me to call and speak with Big Dave, who was excellent with me on the phone and gave me some very candid conversation about what might need to be done with my new boat that I purchased for my small family. We dont have a ton of money but I wanted to find a small inexpensive boat that me and my family could enjoy fishing and hanging out on the lake with. Then when my daughter and I arrived to drop off the boat to your shop, the gentleman that helped us was very friendly and took very good care of us when we were there. He even took the time to walk around the boat with me in the pouring rain outside in the parking lot.

I brought my 2002 SeaDoo Challenger, which I had just inherited from my friend and neighbor. It was barely run-able. Big Dave diagnosed it as a blown engine, which would cost more than $5K to fix, in a $4K boat. Of course it was a terrible loss to me. However, Big Dave offered my a few hundred dollars for it, which I readily agreed to considering dump fees. He mentioned it caused some domestic friction for him at home, making him seem even more credible.Would I recommend him to a friend? I would recommend him to myself, an even more compelling statement. I hope Dave can get parts cheaply, or even a used motor, and turn a pretty good profit on his risk.

Cannot use boat after work completed. Currently in mediation with owner. Bill went from 2.5 to 7.4 hours. Boat was returned with radiator empty, motor would have overheated if we hadnt reviewed their work. Had to take to another shop to fix and get the boat seaworthy.

I have an older Bayliner Capri. Had a problem with low speeds and an idle issue. I got recommended to Cascade marine from a co-worker. Guys inside seemed very friendly and knowledgeable were even able to upsell me a few things that I didnt necessarily need. Got the boat back a few days later and thank God before I took it out I took it upon myself to double-check and see what they did. One of the things they up sold me on was a fuel water separator, which had not been properly installed Not only was it leaking fuel, the holes which they drilled through my transom were not properly sealed. My entire bilge was filled with fuel on top of that when they were moving the gas tanks they severed the positive wire connecting my bilge pump and left exposed ends in the fuel. I went back a week later hoping it was just an accident and they were very busy. They explained it must be a defect in the part which they had sold me and that they had installed it properly. After they installed a second fuel water separator less than a few days later the same problem occurred.

Steer clear of Cascade Marine very poor work and they will overcharge you for their poor advice. I had them replace the heads on my boat engine after they suggested it would help me to get through to the end of the season. The engine had low compression and after their repair ended up with saltwater in the oil ruining it. Very shoddy maintenance and they left my boat a complete a mess with oil, antifreeze, and loose hardware in the bilge.Update to previous review, I finally got my engine finished about a month after Cascade Marine installed it. The work they did was not only substandard but dangerous, the never intalled the lag bolts into the forwad left hand mount, leaving the engine in a precarious situation. They nevever fully installed the exhaust manifolds, the engine was not timed correctly and the raw water intake and believe it or not feul lines were not properly clamped. These people are worse than dishonest they are dangerous.

Brought boat to them. They stated it had a bad gimble bearing, they replaced it. Year later take boat out for first time after. Engine blows. Replace engine, they checked alignment and was fine. Next year, two hrs on engine, noises. Pull outdrive, alignment over 1/2 off, they never checked. Inspected the bearing and it was shot. Pulled bearing only to find out that not only did they not check the alignment but the bearing was the original factory one and they never replaced it. Scammers.

I had a new Yamaha 9.9 installed in May ran it for about 10 hours trolling for Salmon. I always flushed the engine with fresh water per the op. manual. All of a sudden the sound changed and I found water coming out of places it never had before. Next time out it would not start. Had a Yamaha dealer come down and look at it. Found a hose had detached inside the cowling from the built-in flush line.Did a bunch of tests on the wash rack, compression, spark, fuel. Couldn’t get it to start. Looked at oil and said there was water in the oil and I needed to bring it in or they could trailer it as it probably required repair under warranty.I was finishing some cleaning on the boat and getting ready to remove the 9.9 to bring to the shop when I noticed 2 fellows working on 2 large Yamaha’ down the wash rack. I had seen a truck with Cascade Marine Services in the lot. I walked over and met Tim Caudill and his tech George, he asked what was wrong with my 9.9. I told him my service guy thought there was water in my oil and I needed to bring it in. Tim asked if he could take a look as he walked over to my GW. He pulled the oil stick several times and said doesn’t look like water in there. He walked back to his tool bag came back with a screw driver, took my carb off, got a clear container and drained some fuel. He showed me a little water in the fuel and in the carb. Took the carb apart and cleared the water. Put everything back together. Got a pair of ears and the 9.9 came to life. Ran it for 10 minutes without a problem.Finished up my work walked over asked Tim what I owed him, “how about lunch” he responded. Tim and Cascade Marine Service earned my Yamaha business that day. I’ve scheduled annual service on my 225 Saltwater II. And George is my new best fishing buddy.I would recommend Cascade without reservation to anyone in the Everett/ Seattle area looking for professional and friendly service on their marine boats and engines.George Spaulding, Brier,WA
