Store is very clean & things are laid out very nicely.. pretty easy to find.Pricey... was coming to grab a gallon of milk ( chocolate ) .. from $5 to $8. I got 2 1/2 gallons for $1.99No no no

Convenient location with items not always found in other grocery stores. Everything is clean and orderly. Only criticism I have is that some people in the deli can be and are rude. All others are friendly, polite and helpful.

Its a basic grocery store. Clean, well lit, oddly quiet when I visited. The produce was fresh and the sales put it at a good price. In the deli I think something is up with the slicer. My cheese came out on more wedges than even slices.

Theres no winning at the Grayslake Butera. First, one has to be very careful as Ive brought home a lot of rotten produce from this place. Then, the deli department is a test for patience. While the wait time can stretch into infinity with only one person trudging behind the counter, you can see other staff wandering around, wrapping a piece of ham just to unwrap it and then wrap it again. Some move the salad containers around, rearranging them endlessly. If you are lucky enough to see one of them sneeze into their hand and not perform hand hygiene, this is your breakthrough moment. I confronted one lady with that and received immediate service! Dont even try to complain to CS, I can tell you from now that the departments manager is off today but you can try again tomorrow. Once I got so lucky with no customers at the deli, zipped through like Sonic, in and out feeling euphoric. Just to find out that the packer placed my soft fruit on the bottom and the heavy rough packages on top. Theres no winning at this store...

I really like butera because I like their selection of international foods. A majority of the international foods are Hispanic, but they also have Indian, Thai, Chinese, Korean and Japanese. For me I love all international foods.

Butera is one of our favorite grocery chains, however this is the second time I visit this location and again found the produce quite beat up. Similar applies to the chicken and some other meats. Seafood options are limited. There isnt a butcher. The Hispanic section has mostly mexican stuff, and other international shelves also are lacking. Good selection of liquor. Staff didnt hesitate to assist.

Cashier was rude and had me bag my own groceries. “Theres some bags there if you want to bag your stuff,” meanwhile theres 3 other employees not doing a thing. Didnt realize this store became Aldi. Threw my stuff around and smashed the chips before they made it to the bag. Ill stick with the other grocery stores in the area instead of supporting Butera anymore.

If your trying to save money its a good place to shop I would say I save about twenty percent than of I went to Walmart or jewel employees are amazing here too

Quality was just not there. Deli counter glass was filthy. Wanted to buy canned tomato juice and 90% were dented. Cashier told me that’s how they always sell them. It’s called botulism! Produce looked the best.

So discussing jumbo shrimp 🍤 was so bad expired, smell sooo bad!!!

I recently started shopping here and buying just a few items Im very amazed at the quality of their products and the price I will continue to shop here and find the great deals for quality food and no longer shop at any other supermarket I do my best to support our local economy I feel they do also

Great deals Im feeding my family of six 2 great meals for under $40. Today we are having a sautee of sweet potatoes, bbq pork and corn on cob with watermelon dessert. Tomorrow a Chicken and vegetables Thai curry with jazmin rice and cantaloupe for dessert. Not only that I picked up a bag of cereal for the kids.

Waited 30 minutes at the deli to get served and there were only 2 people in front of me and one lady working the counter. Saw a couple of people carrying boxes in the back. She should have called for help when she saw a couple people waiting forever. I eventually gave up and swore to go down the street to jewel from now on. Someone should have been proactive here in providing better service. Completely unacceptable.

This is my familys favorite local grocery store. They have great produce and meat for great prices. Its perfect for grabbing something for dinner on the way home from work. Its a nice change of pace from all the superstores in the area.

I like the variety of items offered, but it can get very crowded and hard to maneuver through the narrow aisles. It has lots of prepackaged meat to choose from but no meat counter.

I tried to find something in the deli and the girl from deli was very nasty.I complained to the management and waited 6 weeks went back and tried to get something from the deli.Same thing different woman.Ill never shop there again.

Really friendly small-town place with a great variety of fresh produce. Very responsive to requests for unusual foods. Loses one star because they need more deli staff. There is always a backup despite the deli workers moving as fast as they can. It is really the customers buying a 1/2 lb of this, a 1/2 pint of that, a 1/4 lb of six other things (and wanting to taste everything) who cause the backup.

Our first visit. Don’t get me wrong, they have a great selection, clean etc. the fault lies at the register... I had my 2 & 4 year old with me checking out, I also brought bags. She scanned everything but bagged 0%.... just looked at me giving me the total... I ended up bagging half of our groceries before another register person came over and packed the rest. Is it company policy of self bagging or was she just lazy?

Short staffed. I usually go to Butera in Lindenhurst, but I happened to need some things when I was passing through Grayslake. The produce is top notch and well priced, just like the other location, but they didnt have anyone bagging for the cashiers, and there were carts all over the parking lot.

I love to come here to buy produce items. They have a bigger variety and cheaper items than other grocery stores in Grayslake. Theres always something seasonal on sale. I even found purple sweet potatoes here, which I have been looking all over for. They also have a couple of good European items, but not as many as Garden Fresh.

Nice staff. Pretty clean. Floors are old from piggly wiggle days. So kind of dark In there. Florescent lights made the meat look bad. But was great when I took it to another part of the store.

Great selection of produce and wide variety of international foods. Careful on some produce, they seem to carry some produce that is right at the end of its life. Lots of Thai, Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Mexican and other international food and spice selections.
