This is a nice grocery store. Back in my home town, Food Lion was known as pretty much the bottom of the barrel. But here, in Hopkinsville, Food Lion has outdone itself. Everything is bright and shiny and clean, the produce looks great, and the aisles are well stocked. The employees are friendly and helpful. If the Food Lions back in Virginia were as nice as this one, they wouldnt have such a shoddy reputation. This place is what all their stores should be like.

Their prices are fair, the store is always clean, the cashiers are pleasant, the produce is fresh and looks amazing, and you can save extra money with their MVP Rewards Program. I enjoy shopping there often. Its a nice change from Walmart and more affordable than Kroger.

Good place to get meat always fresh

So while this place is a little high, there are so many things there to choose from which you dont get that a lot with Walmart or the dollar store. Well today was my first experience there it will not be my last. The cashiers were very friendly and very attentive. If I could give 10 Stars I would. Definitely recommend!

Super clean and love the sales.

Low on stock on something, not sure if it is because today is Easter Sunday or if this is normal. If thus is normal I feel sorry for the locals, not a lot of options. Store was clean, employees were friendly and helpful. Would have given 5 stars but because of stock issues I can do it.

Skip Kroger and Walmart. This place is clean with wide aisles. The staff is friendly. And, guess what? They have no self checkout. A human will actually check you out while smiling and exchanging pleasantries.

Always clean with helpful employees. I feel like my business is appreciated when I go there. Cant remember going and not finding what I need, including special spices and ingredients. Get a free shoppers card and save more.

First time visiting and thought it was great. Nice and clean store great employees and nicely placed merchandise with a wide variety of products.

I love Food Lion, the employees are always so sweet and helpful, they are on top of sanitizing their carts. If you have kids-- they have those awesome, but hard to steer carts that look like cars, with steering wheels. Fits two kids!! They have little carts for little guys to shop with too! My son loves going to Food Lion. :D

10.28.2020 had some very good sales, I always stock up on long shelve life items now to mid November . One item I keep my eye open for ( Victoria pasta sauce, normal $8.99 got for $4.99). But anyway I visit several stores simply because spending 10 - 12 dollars in gas now to saves several hundred dollars over the next 10 months.

Overall, the individual stores and people in them are pretty good. But on the occasion which I complained to the store and then usually to corporate about the discontinuation of a product, I am being lied to by somebody, and I believe it is corporate. I spoke with corporate about a product that I preferred that their local store just stopped carrying, corporate said they would let the store know that customers wanted the product back. I think thats a total lie because I dont think the local stores make that decision. I am getting tired of being lied to by corporations.

I love Food Lion. They have the old fashion customer service that focuses on the customer. I could write a few pages maybe of the things they have done for me, they help load groceries, theyll check to see if they have additional stock in the back. They are very friendly people. Even when they are busy it is easy and fast to check out. The employees are always willing to help in any way they can. I cant say I have any complaints, every place has something yes, but complaints no and definitely no complaints here. I highly recommend Food Lion. I have been to Food Lions in the Hopkinsvillez KY/ Clarksville TN area and the customer service seems the same across the board

Erin the store manager is wonderful! She quoted a price on the phone for a product I was looking for and honored it; even though that product was not part of the sale. Not only that, when there were several people in line she opened a register. When is the last time you seen that happen at one of the other stores in town? Highly recommend Food Lion for your grocery needs :-)

Food Lion has one of the best grocery chain loyalty programs with merchandise rewards for buying in monthly categories. Makes this or any Food Lion a good choice. I drive 35 miles to shop here for unique to Food Lion items once every two months. Decent sale prices make it worthwhile. Clean location, easy access.

During the 2017 eclipse, other businesses around town were charging tourists for parking spots. Food Lion blocked off two thirds of their parking lot for a free spot for us watchers, and they even sold us hotdogs they grilled right there. The staff was incredible and welcomed us. Stopping here was definitely one of the best choices of the day.

Had not been to a Food Lion since I lived in VA six years ago. Love having one close by and look forward to shopping here regularly.

Despite having WalMart move basically next door they continue to thrive. Thats probably because of the excellent produce, friendly staff, and great prices. I still go when possible even though Wal-Mart is closer.

Good quality and wider isles

Extremely expensive, but a great variety of foods. Honestly I would shop there more because its right down the street from me, but the prices are kinda ridiculous and not worth the price. They have things here that I find at Kroger and Walmart for dollars less. Thats my only complaint.
