Danger!!! ☠️Hello everyone, This is a real customer experience with this shop, here we go, I went to this place a couple of months ago to get my transmission fixed, BUT as soon as I got the car back, drove it home the transmission was doing hard and noisy shifting, I took it back 2 days later, the guy named ISRAEL, said that everything was fine no issues at all right after when he drove it everything was normal for him.Yeah Right buddy....Now days the car getting worse and worse, never got it fixed just excuses and excuses, here and there,SoI’m making you all a favor by telling you DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!!! Don’t give this SCAMMER!!! a chance to take your money away!!!!... you know who I am right ISRAEL!!!?? Lier..!

I did a lot of research on which place to go to fix my transmission on my 2wheel drive 2002 Tahoe. It’s been broken for six months. I was looking for the cheapest place that had good reviews. This place was cheap enough that could afford it. They said it would be done in a day and a half and they weren’t kidding. Super fast amazing no trouble no hassle unbelievable. Man before I took my truck to a famous celebrity shop and a 2 day job took 6 days. They really made me a happy camper. I don’t know if your skeptical about the area don’t be these guys are amazing. It is hard to find a good honest trustworthy shop that is reliable and dont cut corners. I took my 2001 Honda Odyssey to California Transmissions to get it rebuild. When I got there I was politely greeted by Tony, a very professional and knowledgeable person. Tony knew what he was talking about and was very assuring offered a 2 year warranty or 24,000 miles more than any other shop. California Transmission delivered everything that was offered with a quick turnaround and a very affordable price. I highly recommend California Transmission it is a 10/10 good quality work and professional staff.

Did not even want to hear my problem because I mention the word clutch. The guy asked me to wait on hold to then cut off the line; this is very unprofessional. I realize they dont work on stick shift transmissions, but my problem was on the pedal itself.

If you have a Honda or GM car with transmission issues you should come here. Great prices and they do good work. I am very happy with their work.

Came back for an update transmission didnt even last for a year and the couldnt get any help for the warranty. I had hopes but now just would not recommend this place. Save your money I just lost 600.00 thank you CALIFORNIA TRANSMISSION!

This is not bogus review! The owner knows because i was just there - he is a LIAR!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! I had to go back 3 times in less than 6 months. The second time I left my truck because my transmission jerked while shifting gears, everyone that got in my truck could feel it, Tony said he didnt find anything wrong. A month later I had to be towed because my transmission went out. They should change their name to T T Transmission for Tony Transas not California Transmission. I felt as if I was robbed, had to pay tow from Riverside. The only difference between me and the others that posted bad reviews is I have pictures (proof) that he NEVER REPLACED the transmission as it said on my receipt. If i t breaks again Im going to take him to court! Three times is enough!Dont let the 2 year warranty fool you. Go elsewhere!!!

I took my truck to replace the transmission, a couple of days later I picked it up and when I drove it on the freeway the truck began to shake at 50mph ( mind you this was never a problem). So I take it back and they say theres nothing wrong, but that they tightened a few screws. I take the truck home, but decide to drive it again on the freeway and it starts to shake again. I take it back and now they find the problem to be the drive shaft. They recommend a guy who fixes drive shafts. Naturally I decide not to get it fixed since I just paid over 1000 dollars to have the transmission fixed. So here Im left without a working truck because it now has a problem that wasnt there before.

Fast and professional service

They replaced my transmission 2 months ago and havent had any problems with my vehicle. They waited for me after their closing hours so that i could get my truck and Im thankful for that.

I came here with my 97 328i with a major transmission problem hoping to get taken care of which I was. My issue is that they kindly told me that they dont work on BMWS only on Honda and GM transmissions. I told the guy but these BMWS come from the factory with GM transmissions they said yes they are aware of that but that they still couldnt help me. The mechanic did let me know about another shop about half a mile away, waste of time too. Hoped that they would be a lot more specific on what type of transmissions they work on. Then again a simple call could have made a difference. I guess not entirely their fault.

Picked up an 00 Acura TL transmission a few days ago, hassle free... the owner was extremely helpful. Not only did he help me during off-business hours, but also pointed out little things that might be different (which didnt affect the main tranny function anyway), but out of good business ethics. Also sells the recommended fluids and knows how many quarts you will need. Real stand-up shop, highly recommend them.

Best dang place ever, I shipped my tahoe on a Monday and got a call Wednesday at 8:30am from Jessie letting me know my truck was all good to go ! Also Jessie and Israel kept me updated every step of the way and pointed out another problem my tahoe had and agreed to do it at the lowes price! Great goob good prices great warranty

My GMC Envoy feels like a new truck!!!! They had replaced within 2 days, waived credit card fee, and found water in my trans. Ran external cooler. 2 Year warranty, everywhere else was 90 days. IF it blows up again, at least I will only have to pay labor. 1560 OTD. If you want something specific checked, make sure you leave a note in the car. I needed a dipstick, they didnt replace.

The best shop by far Tony is the man he hooked me up tranny went bad and they handled it they will back up there warranty I live in Santa Barbara a 2 hr drive but when your gonna get the best it’s worth it thanks guys at California transmission especially Tony !

If I can give no stars that will be great for this place. They are very unprofessional and I tell them what is wrong which of course is the transmission that they put in but keep refusing to acknowledge it! Ive had to tow twice and of course they dont care since I keep paying and paying for them to tell me nothing is wrong!! Dont even bother with them!! I will be also putting in a complaint to the BBB!!
