Ive been going to Urban since they opened on Main Street. The new location is really awesome! Many different levels and rooms. The staff is phenomenal and pricing is spot on. To me this is becoming a KC institution! Keep up the great work Urban Mining! If I could I would give it 10 stars!π€©πππ³οΈβπππ―
Was very excited about visiting this store during a First Friday in KC as soon as I moved here. The website made it look very classy and full of hidden gems. Upon arriving, the location and external vibe of the place was just as advertised. Unfortunately, thats the end of the good news. The place was full of JUNK. I dont mean the kind of junk that could be someone elses treasure. I was not impressed by the selection at all. The place next door is much better, but it wasnt exactly great either. I felt like I loaded up my family and went downtown for nothing.
Found this place while taking my animal to Union Hill Animal Hospital, and what a find it was. To much unique items to look at in one days time. Love everything about it.
Super neat place. Lots of cool and unique items. Only open the first weekend of the month. Check first before the drive. Parking is alittle of an issue but worth the trip.
Super cute place to wander around in awe at the huge selection of all the best antiques. Everything seems to be carefully curated, in mint condition, & reasonably priced. Everything from furniture, dishes, lamps, statues, etc- unique kick knacks for your home galore.
Great finds, different inventory every time we go.
I am so grateful I know about this gem! It has an incredible selection of high quality furniture pieces, decor, vintage clothes, and more. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, and it is apparent the vendors are top notch. The displays are consistently well done and really help inspire ideas. My only wish is they could be open more than just the first weekend of the month. I look forward to going back
Such cool stuff! While focusing on mid-century modern, the vendors will not pass on anything beautiful, wild or wonderful. Cant wait to see them in their new location in 2018. Am somewhat reluctant to post this review because I want to keep it my wonderful secret.
Great place! I was there for my first time yesterday. Prices are very fair and staff is so friendly. They carry the designs that I like so well. I often become frustrated at antique shops because of the lack of Mid Century Modern items. If the do carry Mid Century, its more 1950s Kitsch which people confuse with Mid Century Modern design. This place had a mix of both, plus 1970s and newer stuff. I picked up a really cool art piece from a newer artist and a side table from the 70s.
I loved my first visit! A great selection with something for everybody at a variety of price points. I had tons of fun and will definitely be back.
Cool not so hidden gem. Dig deep for special finds.
A note for anyone directing here from google maps, theyβre only open the first weekend of each month. The open times shown on google are not reflective of the actual ones.Iβm excited to come back on the appropriate day(s) and browse. :)
My husband and I love to go here. We always find unique little things that are priced much better than other vintage stores. The people who work there are very friendly and more than willing to help.
Cool vintage finds. From trinket to furniture. Hi level store that has that mid century charm and sweet eclectic feel of warmth and Christmas all year round.
Great place to shop for furniture and vintage homeware... or just to browse. Really cool and unique pieces. Everyone there is super friendly and knowledgeable.
Cool collection. Love Maud Essentials booth
Urban mining is pretty damn cool I passed by it all the time walking my dog and by the way their dog friendly I decided to go in there and I got me a gas burning fireplace like I used to have in my fake fireplace for $72 its a pretty cool store to get all kinds of home decor its one great big huge flea market type store I recommend it highly
My favorite First Friday stop!! I never leave empty handed. Amazing collections, super friendly people and priced appropriately!
The best stuff and best prices for a kc vintage market. Mark your calendar for the first weekend of every month because you will want to make sure you are first to get there and scoop up the good stuff.
I found what I was looking for at a good price.
Very cool mid century modern and other vintage furniture and housewares.
Great new location! Just wish there were not so many stairs. Staff is very customer oriented
A nice βantique mallβ filled with fun vintage goods. Only open on First Friday weekends.
Great Thursday night before First Friday. Lots to love.
Always fun! And I seldom leave empty-handed. Worth the wait for once a month!
Its kind of pricey but fun to look at
Awesome place. Hadnt been to the new location yet, but its even better than the other place was.
Cool stuff, such as mid-century modern items, but dont expect rummage sale pricing.
Really interesting place! Only open on the first weekend of the month though.
Great vintage store with very nice mid century furniture
Gotten great things here! Its fun shopping, good selection of stuff, and great people who are selling.
Looking for an antique dresser that was painted pink and then artificially aged?Go to the west bottoms.Looking for an actual Eames chair to add to your mid-century/modern aesthetic?Youve come to the right place.Only real, quality products every first weekend of the month will be found here. The upstairs is all the big ticket rarities while the downstairs is all the little knick knacks for your shelves and shoulders. Heavy product rotation from month to month so theres incentive to go every first weekend. Also, everything on Sunday is %10 off but lets be real, youre not the only person eyeing that vase... itll be gone when you come back!πIπwouldπknowπ
Great place to know about. Yes, its only open the weekend of the 1st Friday of every month. That is not unusual though, a lot of antique stores in Kansas City are only open the weekend of First Friday.
Great place with great prices. Will definitely be back.
There is some really cool stuff, especially their MCM items, though the prices are a little high.
They arent really open on Saturdays or Sundays, drove a while to be disappointed, beware.
A wonderful venue for looking for treasures.
Awesome pies and great prices, also refreshing to sit in and eat on a hot day!
Great antique mall with interesting finds, only open on first Friday weekends.
Fantastic selection of mostly mid century modern furnishings!! Open on first friday weekends.
What a great selection! Beware, like many KCMO antique-type places, Urban Mining is only open on the first weekend of the month.
Great pieces, great prices, great concept, and cool place to find some KC history.
Such amazing treasures!! I just wish they were open more often!
Always unique finds and its less busy than the West Bottoms vintage shopping area.
Great finds!
Nice place to go for vintage merchandise
I come here every month to check out the new selection. Many things in my home have been found here!
