Amazing New York Style bagels! I have been missing NYC bagels since my college went virtual and these hit the spot! Literally brought me back to the bustling streets of NYC. The perfect bagel in every way. I got an everything bagel with rosemary and garlic schmear. It was amazing with the perfect ratio of cream cheese to bagel in my opinion. This is the only bagel place you will ever need in KC.

Having worked a bagle shop for some years in the past I can say the quality here is excellent. When asked where to find such standards as a Bagel n Lox with capers I always suggest Meshuggah first. This is a small and popular local shop. There can be a line so order in advance for pickup.Always tip well and be patient.

Dont get me wrong, the bagels are great, but the price is a little high for the Midwest. New York bagels at New York prices I guess. Its a cute little shop. I got an everything bagel with lox and an onion bagel. When they say, The lox are really salty, they mean REALLY SALTY. With the capers, its almost too much. Ill definitely be getting the smoked salmon instead next time.

This bagel place is super homey and their bagels are soft and crispy. The staff was very pleasant, and by the time you make your order it’s basically done and ready for you to take out or stay and eat in their cute homey sitting area. They are ONLY open for carryout ... hit up Mudpie or Goat and Rabbit if youre looking for good coffee & a cozy atmosphere!(I had a super-long review posted here, but its not worth it. Good bagels, ok coffee, subpar atmosphere ... there are better places to spend your $$ on 39th Street. Avoid the disappointment of dropping $10 on a bagel & coffee only to be told you cant eat it there, and they dont have a patio to sit on.) First & last time at this location for me.

Kind, welcoming staff. Tiny parking lot, I had to park in the back.Five different people came in (including myself) and asked for five different types of bagels - all of which they were out of. WAY too much schmear if they slather it on for you.The cost was $14 for three bagels, none of which were the flavors I intended to purchase.Average flavor - no better than Einstein’s or Panera.

Have heard good things about this place- it cost $22 for three bagels and three chocolate milks. Im from a town about two hours away and am spoiled with a local bagel place that is absolutely delicious and super inexpensive less than $3 for a bagel with cream cheese, thought Meshuggahs was overpriced at closer to $5. Ultimately was sorely disappointed in this place and it definitely did not meet my standards for bagels. I did like the chew on the bagel, but the everything bagel didnt have a ton of flavor, was mostly sesame seed, and the garlic and herb cream cheese was truly disgusting. Im a big fan of garlic but this was definitely not fresh garlic, more so the stuff youd get in a jar that just doesnt have nearly the same appeal. Service wasnt great- lady who ordered behind me seemed to get priority because she was a regular who knew the employees, watched them stop my order to work on hers. My travel companions enjoyed their bagels, but I definitely wouldnt drive through the rougher part of KC again just to get a bagel. Maybe would be willing to try the Overland Park location with a different cream cheese. Maybe will just stick with the bagel shop that is much better, cheaper, and closer.

It’s a good bagel spot, although the bagels aren’t made on-site, and the coffee/tea offerings are sorely lacking (I know, I know, it a bagel place - so delicious instead, go next door to Downbeat Coffee for a great pour). Compared to east-coast bagels, these are a bit small, but tasty. The veggie cream cheese is over-seasoned, so go with the plain option. The service is always fast, friendly.

Fantastic bagels with very friendly service —Most people seem to get to go, but they also have a few tables inside for you to enjoy your bagel immediately. They have all the standard east coast bagels such as sesame, poppy, garlic, onion, rye, salt, and everything. Call me boring, but I always get the poppy toasted with butter. They have some pretty crazy schmeres too!!This is by far the best bagels you can buy in Kansas City and absolutely destroys places like Einstein’s or Panera.

Really warm, inviting atmosphere with bagels to match (if you ask for them toasted, of course). Speaking of which, Chester really helped us out. We ordered a chocolate chip bagel with Oreo cheesecake spread and a plain bagel with strawberry spread. Both were DELICIOUS but we’re from out of town and expected a warm bagel. Chester let us know he couldn’t do the chocolate one because it would melt in the toaster, but he got me a freshly toasted plain bagel with the strawberry spread that made me grateful we stopped by. We’ll definitely be back for more next time!

Finally we have a real New York style bagel place. If you arent sure if youve had a real NY bagel, you havent. Boiled bagels mean theyre super crunchy on the outside and super soft and fluffy inside.
