BlueWater Divers was an amazing stop on our full-time RV journey. We spend some time in Key Largo and wanted to find someone who could accommodate us and our 10 year old for his first dive post certification. They did not disappoint. They guided us and showed us some amazing sea life and wrecks. We even got to see some sharks! Highly recommend for anyone and their families!
We had such a great experience this past weekend with Bluewater Divers!! They were incredibly kind and quickly helped us manage our booking when plans changed so we could get the most out of our dive. Everyone on the staff was so much fun and very knowledgeable, making you feel safe and ensuring you have a great time, the best vibes that morning from everyone. They took us on 2 shipwreck dives and we saw some mind-blowing reefs. Cant wait to book with them again, they do Key Largo right :) highly recommend you dive with them!
I highly recommend Blue Water Divers! My husband and I came to key largo for the first time and did two days of diving with them. Pasqual, the owner, was very communicative and friendly in helping us set up our dives. Our diver master and guide, Kevin, gets two thumbs way up. He was fun, informative, and very accommodating — we wanted to be sure to dive the famous molasses reef; we did that as well as other great dives. The best part though was the photos. Kevin took the best photos on our dives, and shared them all with us. So we have a great album of our experience with the nurse sharks, reef sharks, eagle rays, turtles, eels, jellies, and more. Thanks for a wonderful experience gents!!
We had an awesome day diving with Pascal today. The boat is perfect for smaller groups. We had 4 diving passengers and it was very comfortable. Both of the dives were great. We saw a hammerhead on one dive and a ray on the second. Pascal and the captain were both very funny. Overall a great experience that I would recommend for anyone looking to get away from the bigger crowds on a lot of the boats.
Really wonderful experience with Captain Robert & Debbie!! We are a family of 5 from land-locked Nebraska. Our kids are ages 8, 10, and 15. This was our very first experience snorkeling, and our first experience in the Keys. We chose to charter a private boat with them, since it was only a little more than the per person rates from other places. WELL worth it!! BlueWater Divers took us out for 4 hours to coral reefs with puffer fish, parrot fish, barracuda, and so many other colorful fish! They were perfectly patient with my youngest, and helped him stay safe while he got used to the water and gear. They were fantastic hosts, and fantastic at finding the beat places to snorkel! They knew just where to go based on the conditions. Loved it!!! We would love to come back and do it again and again!! Fabulous!! We are hooked!!!
I don’t normally do reviews but this guys deserve it. We can not wait to go back! Andrew and Robert were very knowledgeable and friendly. Very personable and accommodating. Three of us went out my boys dove and I snorkeled. The water and the reef were amazing. We saw sea turtles on our way to the reef. While in the water countless beautiful fish and ocean life. On our way back to the Marina Captain Robert stopped to pull out a Mylar ballon that had been drifting in the water showing they really cares about our ocean. Andrew took GREAT pictures. Would absolutely recommend Blue Water Divers. Thanks for an awesome experience!!!
You wan to go diving with an herd of people? This is NOT the place for youYou want small boats, 2-8 people on the boat, YES they go out with just 2 divers!!THIS IS THE DIVE PLACE FOR YOUR!You will most likely speak with Andrew the owner. Great guy, loves what he does and if you are a diver, what is not to love? You go scuba diving in Key Largo; Give Andrew a call and YOU decide...You will not regret you did.Happy diving :-)Alex
We spent two weeks with Bluewater Divers and it was a great experience, we got our open water advanced certification Andrew is a great instructor and his night dive guides are the BOMB! He was very workable with scheduling around our vacation plans.Robert is a excellent Captain he has everything covered from getting you on and off the boat safely, in and out of the water safely, making sure you stayed hydrated everything you need to have a great time.Roberts working knowledge of the reef system in conjunction with weather conditions in order to find areas where the best visibility would be for us to dive on a any given day was most impressive. The whole time we felt like we were hanging with family.Fine Holiday Fun 2 Thumbs Up cant wait to come back!
We had a great dive!! Pascal said we should delay our dive 1 day due to high winds and we are glad we did. My daughter and I did the Discover SCUBA with Andrew and we had a easy time following him through the reefs. He knows where to look for interesting things, we saw several sharks and eels, but he also made sure we were doing OK as we went. If you dive with him, ask to see some of the photos he has taken, he is also a talented photographer! I highly recommend diving with BlueWater Divers!
This Dive Boat just changed owners, and today was my first day diving with them, after dozens of dives with the old crew. I can honestly say Andrew and Captain Robert are carrying to torch so amazingly well and have even improved the experience dramatically! They are both so caring and eager to give you an awesome experience! I felt so safe and like I was a VIP. I will be continuing to dive with these guys, and I recommend you do the same!!
Went out with them twice the first trip was fantastic and I was definitely looking forward to the next trip so here is where they stood out as an amazing charter I got there early for my second trip they were working on the boat it had a small ignition issue and wasnt capable of making the trip that morning no big deal it happens right well not only did they already have new on a boat with a different charter they also went along so it was like I had my own personal guideThat is 120% above and beyond my expectations this is why I love small charter boats
Had signed up for the Discover Scuba course. Met Andrew by the docks in the morning and got fitted for my vest and flippers before heading to the pool. Andrew was very friendly and professional and you can tell he loves what he does. After doing the lesson in the pool (which was great!) we had a few hours to kill before meeting the boat at 1PM. Unfortunately when the boat came back from the morning dive it sucked something up in the engine and caused some major problems. Andrew informed us that we would not be able to go diving that day and that even going the next day wasnt going to happen. I was bummed out but fully understand stuff happens and it wasnt their fault. He promptly refunded all of my money and even recommended another dive company next door to go diving with - which I ended up doing. He even said If I go diving with him in the future that he would give me a discount for the inconvenience. Although I was not able to go diving that day, the pool session and working with Andrew was as good as it can get. If I am in the area again and want to go diving I would 100% sign up with BlueWater Divers again.
My two daughters (13 and 15) got their open water certification this summer in Louisville Ky and this was our first time in real open water (not a quarry). Blue Water Divers was a perfect first experience for us all. Eric and Christie were great and when we got to each dive site they explained the underwater terrain--how to navigate around (how to not get lost) and were vigil when we were in and out of the water.Second--and as important--when I started looking for a charter company I read a few reviews that mentioned cattle boats. At the time I laughed at the description--but it is pretty accurate. We drove by them and seen a few on the reefs. I am certain diving with them would not have been so pleasant--30-40 people on the boat--and then 30-40 people in the water at the same time. Each of our trips (two dives each) consisted of less than 10 people--in fact our last trip was just me and my girls--I doubt other charters would run just for three divers. For a fact--I will always dive with Eric and Christie when we are around Key Largo.
It bums me out to have to leave a 3 star review because overall we enjoyed the time we had on the tour. My girlfriend and I visited Key Largo the last week of May and due to the great reviews, we decided to book a scuba trip with BWD. Since this was during slow season we were the only 2 signed up for the dive tour. The staff was friendly and courteous, the training was great, and our first dive was amazing. The trip was supposed to include a second dive to a spot that in pictures looks spectacular, however the boat started having mechanical issues on the way to there and we had to turn around and return to the dock. The dive master and captain were extremely apologetic but we were never offered a raincheck on the second dive and we were still charged full price for the tour. We were also supposed to have the option to purchase pictures of the dive but as soon as we returned to dock the staff was so preoccupied with figuring out the issue with the boat that they kind of just ushered us off the boat and left us to go on our way. I do not blame the staff and I hope they were able fix the issue with the boat, however we were disappointed with the way the situation was handled.
Great guides and captain. Excellent experience
Pascal was very friendly and knowledgeable. Got certified and he made it fun.
WOW!! AWESOME! FANTASTIC! FUN! PROFESSIONAL! HELPFUL! :-) I went for my first Ocean Dive with my husband at the end of July. I was really nervous, but Andrew was so patient & encouraging before we even got there, that I wasnt quite as nervous. When we got there he and Captain Robert were so kind & helpful. I really cant thank them enough! What a great first time experience! We dove 3 days with them & got better each day with their guidance & encouragement! We paid for Andrew to be our guide for 2 days & Captain Robert for the last day. Deb was also there that last day to assist. Loved the smiles, the stories & the positive attitudes! We will be back! Thanks for such an amazing experience! :-)
Captain Rob did not disappoint. Super friendly and extremely knowledgeable about both diving and the local area, he took us to Molasses reef. Two dives we saw sharks, turtles, barracuda, lobsters, and so many beautiful and colorful fish, it “was like swimming in a fancy aquarium, but 100x better, right?” asked Rob. Yes, without a doubt.
I can honestly say that my husband and I were more than satisfied with our experience with BlueWater Divers earlier this month. One of the factors that guided our decision to go with them was because the boat was small, which means less people. Aside from the obvious safety benefits this affords (including Covid), it means more time spent underwater and less traffic of other divers. Perhaps the best highlight overall was the attention to detail and very personable experience that Andrew and Captain Robert provided. We will be back soon!!
We had a wonderful time with Bluewater Divers. Andrew led the dive with us since my wife had not been in over a year and he was great at settling her nerves and showing us a bunch of cool stuff. Captain Robert gave us a smooth trip out to the dive site. We will definitely be coming back!
My boyfriend and I completed our open water diver certification course with BlueWater Divers. I can’t say enough good things about our experience. Andrew was a very enthusiastic instructor with a great love for diving. Both Andrew and Captain Robert were knowledgeable about the reefs, took us to multiple beautiful areas where we saw lots of wildlife - sea turtles, sharks, eels, barracuda, scorpion fish (to name a few)! Very friendly and professional guys who were caring and helpful through out our 2 days with them. I would highly recommend this company and can not wait to go back for more dives with them in the future.
Awesome awesome experience with Captain Robert and Andrew were great! My first dive after getting open water certified.Pro tip: if they said they’re booked online / you have issues getting in touch with them via phone, find them on the dock before or after their morning/ afternoon dive- I was able to get on a last minute dive! Super easy going yet professional.
Small, intimate boat. Great vibes. Cold, fresh pineapple after the dive and ice cold water too! Did some great dives at Molasses Reef in some challenging bouncy seas. The Captain was great, personable, funny and calm. Accomodate my DIN reg on one tank which was awesome too!
We had a great 2 tank dive with bluewater divers ! Andrew and Robert took us out for the day, they were super friendly and attentive... my husband and i had an awesome time under water, prices are reasonable as well... would highly recommend this place and will definitely be diving with them again
My friend and I spent the weekend diving with Blue Water Divers and we could not have had a better experience! We did a total of 6 dives with them and each one was as awesome as the one before. The customer service with the owner Andrew was great, Robert was an amazing Captain both days, Will was an awesome guide on the first day, and Pati and Kyle were wonderful guides on the second day. We were comfortable, we were well accommodated, and we had an absolute blast. We both highly recommend diving with them in Key Largo!
We had a great time with BlueWater Divers one day in mid-November. We were lucky to have a beautiful day and to spend it with Captain Robert, who is super knowledgeable, safety-conscious and fun. He took us to a wonderful reef, which we had to ourselves, and the dive was really nice. Wonderful break for us, and were so glad we went with BlueWater Divers.
Great dive today to the Shipwreck Washington and then 2nd dive was off a reef 1/2 mile from the wreckBoat Captain and Pasqual were very professional, assisted in any way possibleTruly an enjoyable trip
Great place to dive with. Absolutely awesome!
I would highly recommend Bluewater divers for all who are interested in having a great time. They have great dive sites to choose from including wrecks and reefs and support all levels from beginners to Advanced divers. The group sizes are small to ensure a great personalized trip.
I took the PADI open water diver certification course with BlueWater Divers and I would recommend them to anyone. My instructor and owner of BlueWater, Andrew, has an infectious laugh that makes learning fun. The Captain of the dive boat is Robert, he keeps everyone safe and has a great knowledge of the waters and dive sites. I feel that diving with a smaller company made my experience much more personal and enjoyable.
Captain Robert and Andrew were absolutely fantastic. 12/10 would recommend diving with them. You have the option to dive with the divemaster for a guided dive, or you can go out by yourself. Their boat is small enough to where the sites aren’t annoyingly crowded, but not so small that you can’t move around. Captain Robert and Andrew are absolutely customer-oriented and super great guys.
My partner and I decided to escape from grey northern winters to the sunny skies and diving in Florida, and we wanted to keep things low key and small- driving down, renting a house and bringing/cooking our own food. When it came to diving, we knew we wanted to keep it small as well, but get some great, big dives in, and Blue Water Divers didn’t disappoint. We went for 3 days in a row on morning dives. The first day, it was just us and Captain Robert, the second day it was two other couples and Robert and Andrew, the co-owner and deckhand/diver for the trip, and the third day it was just us, another couple (Hi Lu and Paul!) and Andrew and Robert. The boat had plenty of space, perfect for the side mount tanks that we brought and got filled there, and the ride out was beautiful! We went to some great locations for two deep dives- the Duane and the Spiegel Grove, and then hit a few shallower wrecks and reefs, all with some great to good visibility and almost NO other divers around. Andrew has some great stories from diving and teaching all over the world (he also is skilled at underwater photography, and grabbed a nice pic of my partner and I!) and both Robert and Andrew are sure to tip you off on what spots on each wreck and reef to check out. Our highlights were the Duane, for its massive structure and unending possibility for exploring, and the Spiegel Grove, which flourished with every kind of fish in the hundreds, along with some sea turtles and tons of coral. If you want a small and great guide company, book now- these guys were relaxed and fun, but completely professional and ready to help in every way. We’ll definitely be back, and hopefully really soon!
Open Water Certification accomplished! Thanks BlueWater Divers! Great price, great instruction, 1st class all around!Andrew (Master Diver) is an amazing instructor and really cares about not just your safety but your comfortabililty as well. He instructed my wife and I for Open Water Certification and we had an amazing time. You can tell that Andrew genuinely cares about the sea life and his enthusiasm about that sea life and your well being will not leave you desiring anything else but another trip with BlueWater Divers. Robert, the Captain of the ship, not only made all the dives more enjoyable by his ability to navigate the seas, but also because of his own knowledge of Scuba and travel. Super nice dude and definitely is someone that enhances everything about the Scuba experience!
Now I dont usually post reviews for anything, but this one was definitely warranted. Both Andrew and Robert were friendly, accommodating and extremely knowledgeable about the Florida reefs. You can immediately tell when talking to them that theyre not only passionate about what they do, but also passionate with providing the customers the best experience possible. Out of the 3 days I spent diving with these guys, I honestly cant think of a single negative thing to say about my experience. The only downside is that they have set the bar wayyy too high for my next diving trip! In all seriousness, I would recommend any/everyone visiting Florida to check out BlueWater Divers if youre looking to dive or snorkel. You WILL NOT be disappointed! Thanks again to Andrew and Capitan Robert for the hospitality. Ill definitely be seeing you guys again soon.
Andrew, Robert, Anabel and Kelly are all FANTASTIC!!! Anabel was our instructor for this dive as we were getting our Advanced Open Water Certification. Anabel is a GREAT instructor and a fabulous teacher. She is very attentive and makes learning fun!!!. We will definitely be regulars with Blue Water!! Heal fast Andrew : )
We rented a house in key largor for a month, needed a dive shop that we could arrange for our 15yr old twins to do Padi Open Water certification, myself and my husband due a scuba refresher course, and then of course dive. Blue Water was OUTSTANDING on all fronts, from explaining the Padi certification process, the pool course - amazing instructors, certification dives and the post certification dives. Also love that its a small boat operation (10 divers/snorkelers max). Pascal, captain Rob and the instructor crew, go out of their way to ensure a great experience. Highly recommend, and plan on coming to blue water with any future keys diving trips.
BlueWater Divers give you an intimate experience with a small boat. Andrew and Robert are so nice and helpful! I would definitely dive with them again!
This dive group made our last day in the keys absolutely amazing. Not only was the location chosen to dive fantastic but the crew (Kelly, Annabelle, Captain Robert) was so funny and kind. They are also extremely knowledgeable about the animals. Kelly made sure everybody had what they needed and led 1/2 of the dive group who had an amazing time as well! My brother was unable to dive due to a sinus issue but Annabelle stayed up with him and they snorkeled the whole time. Although he couldn’t dive she made his day with her constant smile and amazing personality. Captain Robert led the rest of my family and he was great at pointing out all the cool things like sea turtles and lobsters. Thank you guys for ending our trip off with such a memorable experience.
Ours was a 2-tank dive with one stop at the M/V Benwood wreck and the other at Molasses reef. Both were great dives. We hired, Robert, one of Bluewater Divers, dive masters as a guide. Awesome. His keen eyes pointed out lots of stuff we would have never seen or known about. The best was the camouflaged scorpion fish with amazing bright blue fins and the yellow trumpet fish. A turtle swam so close to me we I could have touched him. Then there were the huge groupers, huge angelfish, huge parrot fish, file fish, American ray and …. I like to scuba slow preferring to look at details and the environment around me. Robert kept us moving at just the right pace so we could both enjoy a drift and swim the reef.Bluewater Diver is a small operation and very slightly more expensive than some of the larger commercial boats. Spend the little extra money and you will have a heck of a lot better dive. (BTW we 2-tank dove with them 2 days earlier and came back for this second dive, both tanks at Molasses Reef with dive master Andrew. If we had more time wed try to go again.)
Had an awesome time going out with Andrew and Robert! They could not have been nicer and showed us some amazing reefs and spots to lobster dive. Robert and Andrew were very knowledgeable about all the reefs and wildlife and Andrew took some great underwater pics. Already set up a reservation for next year!
Andrew and Robert are great hosts!! Diving with Bluewater Divers is like going diving with your friends who know the area like the back of their hand. They are dedicated to ensuring a fun and safe time by providing a personalized service. We never felt rushed - ever.We definitely plan to return to Key Largo and book with Bluewater Divers in the near future.
My girlfriend and I took our PADI Open Water Diver Course with BlueWater a few days ago. We both agree that Andrew, Robert, and special guest Kelly were fantastic in teaching us to dive and we are already planning a trip back to take the Advanced Course with them. Besides the awesome diving, they have traveled all over the world and have a wealth of knowledge and experiences to share. Among other nice little touches, they brought along fruit/beverages and took some underwater pictures without us even requesting it.
We just had the absolute best day on this boat and snorkeling! The guys are so knowledgeable and put us at ease. They’re also super fun! I cannot wait to have this experience again! Thank guys...love ya!
Andrew, Robert, and Jin were extremely professional and fun. They were able to accommodate our groups different requests even on such a short notice. Molasses reef was a very fun dive. Must see for any diver.
Staff were extremely nice and accommodating! The small group is so nice and the tour guide showed us some of the best snorkeling spots I have ever been to! I definitely recommend not just for the snorkeling experience but for also meeting a good group of people as well.
Fantastic dive trip. Captain Robert and crew were excellent. Beautiful reef. Enjoyed every minute of it!
Having decided to spend some time away from the snow and get our Open Water Certification, we settled on Key Largo. As I started my search for dive instruction, I quickly became overwhelmed. I am certain there are more dive shops in the Keys than there are fast food restaurants. When I came across Bluewater Divers I was favorably impressed by the website. After I read the reviews, I became more convinced we were heading in the correct direction. The coordination with the on-line PADI course work was seamless. When we arrived, I felt well prepared for our pool training and we met our instructor, Andrew, for the first time. Before we knew it, it was time for our first dive. Here mother nature was not friendly at all. The sea was a rolling and by the time we reached our first dive site, my wife was not doing well. She made it into the water, but the waves and nausea got the best of her. I had read some reviews where familys felt belittled by the crew (another company) when they got sea sick. Capt Robert was like an encouraging brother and my wife, rather than feeling deflated, was looking forward to making a second attempt the next day.The next day the seas were calm and she made it like a champ through her first two dives. Without the special attention and encouragement of our instructor and captain, this easily could have been a vacation nightmare.Instead the world now has two more PADI certified open water divers.I do feel that the logo on their t-shirts sums it up best:Diving how it was meant to be!I know when the time comes for us to pursue our Advanced Open Water Certification, there is one decision that we will be a no-brainer; come back to Bluewater Divers!!!
Incredible experience this last weekend! Super friendly, supportive, and a blast to spend the morning with. Super knowledgeable and down to earth. Would recommend Andrew and captain Robert to anyone and looking toward to going back myself
We had such a blast and could not have wished for a better crew! Andrew and Captain Rob are the best. They are very knowledgeable, safe and super fun. Highly recommended!!
Awesome experience Andrew is just GREAT. So kind, professional and passionate. 100% recommended. His crew is awesome too..
Went diving with Capt. Rob and had an amazing time!! HIGHLY recommend Blue Water!
Fun, Professional, Accommodating, Highly recomended. We are DMs with alot of experience all around the world. With over 350 dives we never felt in more capable hands than with Captain Robert. We went scuba diving 3 days so far and plan on doing more diving with Blue Water Divers. The relaxed fun atmosphere, and small intimate dive boat was a luxury. DM/Captain Robert is excellent. He is always awair of everyones issues and dive experience. Extremely knowledgeable about the area and each dive site. Robert was never in a hurry, allowing us to take our time getting in the water. We never felt rushed or like we had to cut our dive short to be back on the boat. We felt in very capable hands. Each trip was conducted to accommodate those on the boat that day and where we wanted to dive. The location was walking distance from our lodging, which was another big plus. Andrew kept in great communication about dates, times and payments so there was never any worry or stress. We feel lucky to have picked Blue Water Divers right from the beginning of our trip.
There guys are super awesome. Funny. Knowkedable and overall were amazing hosts and we had an incredible time and u will definitely not be disappointed! Safety is foremost priority for them .
Andrew and Captain Robert were very accommodating. Recommended for large families. Molasses Reef was amazing.
Most wonderul experiences with these guys! Aarons pictures were the best just the sweetest guy. Eric was informative and funny, really cool. Kelly worked with our Autistic son and was caring and gentle and amazing. He had a wonderful experience he will never forget. We had a spectacular time.Robert was a knowledgable captain and shared the helm with our grandson so he could steer. We would recommend them highly!!!
These guys are top of the line, personalized service, interesting conversation and multiple over 2 days of amazing experiences and sights. Andrew and Richard are the best.
Out of everything i’ve ever reviewed, this by far is my favorite. There is so many positives i’ve gotten out of this trip.1. The crew: Andrew & Robert. They were so friendly and welcoming. Extremely helpful and personable. You can tell 10 minutes within getting on the boat how passionate they are about the reef and wildlife in general. I really appreciate how they didn’t overcrowd the boat. Ask Andrew about his underwater photography because it is awesome.2. The experience- we first went to a smaller reef (more of a beginner reef) and it was very clear water. Robert jumped in and showed us around. The fish are so colorful and beautiful. The second reef we went to had the bigger fish. We saw a nurse shark, barracuda, and I swam next to a sea turtle for a few minutes. There was tons of sea life.Part of me doesn’t want to review them because I don’t want others to know about them haha. I will be coming back 100% (possibly to even get scuba certified). I would highly recommend them!
Wonderful experience! They really mean Crowd free. Hassle free.. My friend and I got our open water certification completed here and were so lucky to have such a knowledgeable and nice instructor like Christi. Its a great small operation not a place where they rush you and you are just a number to them. So glad we found this place, Highly recommend!
Perfect snorkeling trip and very reasonably priced! Will definitely be returning next year!!
My family of six and I had an excellent experience with BlueWater Divers! Everyone was so friendly and very knowledgeable about the dive sites. We especially loved having Lauren as our dive guide throughout our 8 dives! I highly recommend diving with BlueWater, and hope to be back soon. Thanks for a wonderful trip!
Unfortunately our trip was cancelled due to weather over the weekend. However the communication throughout was excellent and showed terrific customer service.
Love to dive with Bluewater Divers. I really enjoy diving on the smaller boats because it is a more intimate experience vs. the big dive boats with too many people. It is a very personable diving experience with a great crew. Will always recommend peeps to dive with Bluewater Divers.
Even better than I had hoped it would be! Christi is a patient and wonderful guide, and Capt. Eric keeps a comfortable, safe, laid back boat. This was my first experience not being crowded on and hurried into the water - it was amazing. We are already planning to come back! We had hoped to see eagle rays and dolphins - incredibly, we saw both! I am thankful that we booked with BlueWater and highly recommend them.
My wife and I are new to diving with only a handful of ocean dives. We wanted to dive in Key Largo but only had one day open. Communication prior to the trip was excellent. Christi was very informative, prompt and professional in all of our emails leading up to our trip. The day we went out the waters were very rough. Eric was masterful navigating the boat in the rough water and helping us get in and out of our gear. Christi was so helpful in helping us get into and under the water and really helped us relax and enjoy our dive. We will choose BlueWater Divers any chance we get to dive in Key Largo again.
We had a great dive experience with BlueWater Divers! It was our first time diving with them and it won’t be the last! We had six divers on our boat. Four divers in my group and one student with Christi. We felt like we were on a friend’s boat! Captain Eric was helpful assisting us in and out of the boat, setting our gear up and offering advice on the dive sites. Christi clearly loves diving and shared her knowledge of the sea life in the area. We rented bcds and regulators which were in good condition. Our two self-guided dives were 50 minutes long on beautiful Molasses reef with a max depth of 40 feet. The location of their boat is very convenient in the marina at mile marker 100. The boat has a platform on the back for easy access to the boat.
Four dives in two days, two different reefs, one dive guided by Christie. Got class & pool refresher for two divers to make it happen (father & two sons from Seattle, 50-100 dives experience). Flexible, but high safety standards, gave as much added attention as we required or requested. Christie fammed the reef to prep for self-guided follow-on. Kept group size to 6-10 divers (we had us three one day, five total the next) made for uncrowded underwater & boat conditions, good services with overnight gear storage. Did total of 10 dives in six days up & down the Keys, this operator was tied for tops on our list of best experiences. Visibility and reef conditions best in the northern reefs with choices offered by BlueWater topnotch. Repeats will definitely include trips by Eric & Christie.
Diving in Key Largo is as good as it gets! And I have been diving all around the world! But diving with BlueWater Divers in Key Largo was like icing on the cake! They were spot on with hassle free diving. If you want hassle free diving - check them out!
Friendly crew and great diving sites.
Andrew and Robert are the best. Will certainly come back.
My daughter and I had a great trip. Not too crowded and very friendly & helpful. 5/5 would dive with again.
My son and I spent three days diving with Captain Eric and our dive guide Patrick. This was the best, most personal dive experience I have ever experienced. Patrick was my sons instructor for his Advanced Open Water course and served as our guide as well. Eric was both professional and engaging. He offered a wealth of knowledge about the dive sites and the area.Coming back from our last dive we passed a boat with 25 divers heading out. After diving with Blue Water never again will be board a cattle boat. Thanks gang, you ROCK!
Wonderful staff, amazing dive locations, got my open water certification here. Small groups and dive master was very knowledgeable about where the interesting sea life live at each location. 10 out of 5.
I had an incredible time with Christi and Eric! My friend and I came to Key Largo to complete our certification dives and chose BlueWater Divers and couldnt have been happier! The second day we had all of our friends join us and snorkel while we dove. We had the entire boat to ourselves and learned so much from Eric about the area. Definitely will come back to these guys if Im ever in Key Largo.
Christi and Eric are wonderful. We had a great diving trip with them last week. It was very relaxed with nice and very humorous conversations. Christi was our guide and she is very good at spotting. We saw what she calls the big five: a turtle, a huge green muray, a giant goliath grouper, a sting ray and four (!) nurse sharks. The day before we went diving with another company, which was okay but many divers and snorklers on one boat and everyone was kind of in a hurry all the time. So we decided to go with Christi and Eric and we didnt regret it at all. Would always choose them again :)
We chose to dive with Bluewater because we do not want the typical herding cattle type of dive experience you get with the bigger companies and the bigger boats. We wanted a more laid back trip. Christi and Eric gave us the exact dive trips we wanted. Christi tirelessly answered our questions days and weeks leading up to our trip, they were both patient with us as we set up our equipment (including camera gear), and gave first class assistance between dives and while on the boat. We had only five divers on our boat and it was PERFECT! Our favorite sightings: two spotted eagle rays, four black tip sharks, five nurse sharks, green moray eel, and a juvenile green sea turtle. All of this on four dives - plus great corals and fish. We will return to Bluewater divers next time we visit the keys!
From the first phone call to the lunch recommendation after the trip, the team at BlueWater Divers was phenomenal! If you are looking for a personalized experience with a small group of divers and/or snorklers, this is your place! Christy was so patient in answering all my questions and arranging the perfect experience for us. We were able to see the Christ of the Abyss statue with only 8 people as opposed to the crowds you get with the other companies. The team was knowledgeable about the reefs in the area and helped craft a personalized trip specifically for what we wanted to see and do. Make BlueWater Divers your first call for your trip to snorkel or dive Key Largo!
Great time! We booked a morning snorkel trip for the family (2 adults and 3 kids). Less crowds without the cost of a private charter. Captain Eric was very knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks!
I just got back from a dive trip with these guys and they were great. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They take out a small boat, and on two of the days it was just me and my buddy with the crew. Also, we got to request our dive locations, and they were very helpful in giving us tips about how to do the dive and make the most of it. Lastly, they were extremely accommodating since we had to change our plans three different times. I will be diving with them in the future when I am in Key Largo.
We had iffy weather and still had our best Keys diving ever with Blue Water Divers. Excellent, professional, and laid back owners. We highly recommend their operation and wlll definitely dive with them again.
We dove the Spiegel grove and Benwood Wrecks. What and experience. The dives were great - a bit challenging because of the waves - however, Eric gave clear instructions and info on what to expect. We had a great time. My husband unfortunately lost our camera helping another diver. If anyone finds a Sea Life Camera near the Spiegel Grove, let me know!
My son and I have dove with Blue Water Divers each of the past three summers, and have each done 22 dives with them total. They are our favorite dive boat as they provide crowd free diving and personalized focus on you.Blue Water will take you out even if there are only two divers on the boat. Most of our trips with them have averaged around 2-4 divers, and there have been occasions where we were the first boat on a site and were able to get down to the site before the big cattle boats showed up. This proved to be huge on one of our last dives with them as we were able to see some turtles on the Benwood before they went into hiding when a large boat showed up on the site.Due to the fact that Blue Waters boat is not overcrowded, their entire focus is on you. I greatly appreciated this aspect of my experience with them two years ago, as my son and I werent very experienced at boat diving at the time. Eric provided us with a lot of pointers throughout our first four dives and by the 5th dive we felt pretty confident in the routine.During our three summer trips, my son and I have done a few dives with two other boats in the Keys. Both boats provided a good experience, but diving with Blue Water feels like home to us, and they will always be the boat in the Keys that we do the majority of our dives with. In fact, I cant wait until we are diving with them again.Visited June 2016
Skip the boats that haul large numbers of snorkelers and go with the best!We just got back from a snorkeling trip to Key Largo and had the best experience with Blue Water Divers. Christy took a diver out to get certified and we had the whole area to snorkel ourselves. I cant stand large crowds of inexperienced snorkelers kicking fins in my face and all up in my business. Blue Water Divers takes small numbers out and many of those are divers. This made for a highly enjoyable, relaxing experience. The price was awesome, they catered to us and we had a blast. Christy even talked me into getting SCUBA certified after watching her during her dive. I will definitely go back and get my open water certification with her. We will be repeat customers every trip we make!
My experience at Blue Water Divers was amazing. We arrived at the Dock at 8:00 and we were on the water by 8:25. We had to two locations and were at each for an hour. The instructors on the boat,Eric and Patrick, were very accommodating and helpful. They even helped us when one of us got sea sick. They also provided water, kool aid, and orange slices. If you are not a great swimmer Blue Water Divers has life jackets and noodles to float with. The max capacity for the trip was 10 people. This made it personable and on our time. Less people meant more time to snorkel and enjoy the beautiful scereny. Overall I give Blue Water Divers a 10/10. I hope this review was help for your decison to scuba/snorkel with Blue Water Divers.
Snorkeling trip was great, crew was very friendly and helpful and the reef was stunning. Highly recommend it!!!
Great staff and dive locations. Very easy to work with and the dives are never crowded.
This note gives major props for BlueWater Divers for not taking us out on a dive...This past week my son and I were scheduled to dive the Spiegel Grove but two days before we got a call from Brent advising us that the marine forecast for the day we were to dive was calling for wave heights of 3-5 feet, which would make for an uncomfortable dive at the least. over the next 36 hours we continued to check in and Brent gave us the option of calling off the dive the evening before we were scheduled to go. We did scrub the dive because my son has a slight history of seasickness, but did not incur a charge for the late cancellation. My hats off to Brent for looking out for us rather than letting us show up to take a dive we probably would not have enjoyed (which other dive companies have done.) We have dived with them before and can give them our highest recommendation, and we will dive exclusively with them in the future.
Tried to go diving with them but they closed up for a few weeks. They where kind enough to call me back and give me a few other places to try.
Friendly and professional
