Good doc, front desk staff polite but office policy now requiring retinal imaging even when patients ask (multiple times) to waive this voluntary service (at $76/patient!) which, btw, is not covered by insurance isnt a good way to retain patients... Expect to pay up-charges for other things too like contacts training (+$20)...

Visualize the perfect eye exam experience, this is it. I have been going to eye doctors since first grade, so I’ve been to quite a few in my 59 years. The staff at Acuity Eyecare were all friendly and helpful. Dr. K took her time during my exam and even educated me on a couple of things the eye can show about our overall health.I have found my eye care home.

This place was just awesome. Everyone was so helpful and informed. Dr K was able to access perfectly what would work best for me and I have never been more clear about the plan of care as I was with her. Melissa was so great helping me decide what frames and materials. Each person I interacted with from start to finish was helpful. I mean I have been to a lot of places in my 57 years and this place was the best experience I ever had!!!

Dr. K and her team are so kind and pleasant and helpful. She is a great doctor and explains eveything she is doing and why. She asks a lot of questions to make sure she understands your daily routine so she can get the perfect prescription. Plus they have gorgeous frames! Love them.

For forty years I never needed glasses or a visit to the optometrist - until I noticed some changes with my eyesight and wanted to consult with the professionals and see what might be the matter.In a matter of 90 minutes, the team at Acuity Eyecare in Kyle ran the tests, determined what the issue was, and had me fitted for a new pair of very attractive glasses. My first pair ever.Dr. Kekahuna and her team are fantastic! And since that great first appointment, even my daughters have joined my wife and I as her patients.

Staff is always very professional and friendly. Dr. K is the best, she is very efficient and listens to all your needs. Love this place and highly recommended to anyone in need of good quality eye care services.

Absolutely love this Doctor! I was greeted by a really sweet receptionist who promptly checked me in. It was no time at all that a technician came and began tests. He was very personable and explained the process in great detail. Since I have never required glasses this was very new to me. Once the Doctor came in and gave the exam, explained everything (very thorough) I felt relieved. Then came finding a pair. The woman that helped me find a pair was nice but a little pushy. It seemed I was taking a little too long trying to find what I liked and this was a very personal thing for me. It seemed she was getting frustrated and I felt pressured. Finally settled on a pair which was not really the pair I was sure of. When they were ready I went back and received care from a young lady named Sky. I was grateful, she was super sweet and took care of every little detail. I can see like when I was young! Other than the issue with feeling pressured this place was PERFECT and would recommend to anyone!

I had a complicated eye problem. Dr. K spent over an hour helping me get to the bottom of it, testing lenses, etc. She is smart and super-competent and was persistent in helping me with my neurovisual issue. I am very grateful and highly recommend Acuity.

The staff was very courteous and accommodating and Dr K took her time and provided excellent care and even answered some eye questions I had that were unrelated to my specific exam. She was even able to take my prescription and decrease it from my previous prescription and my vision became way better!

I unfortunately had to cancel my appt due to them requiring you to provide medical insurance. If you don’t have medical insurance they will charge you $148 if they Diagnose, not treat, anything such as cataracts, glaucoma or dry eyes. I have vision insurance and was just looking for a routing eye exam for contacts.

Going to the eye Doctor is not something that a fellow normally looks forward to...until you find your way to Acuity Eyecare.The ladies were all very kind & professional...from the front desk to the Doctor herself...I enjoyed my time visiting with them while receiving quality eye care...with our Nation being in the mess that we are in right now we all gathered at the end of my appointment & had some quality prayer...In my humble opinion our world is a better place because of these kind wonderful ladies.

Loved the Acuity team! The entire staff was very knowledgeable and went over all my options thoroughly for lenses. They didnt pressure me into spending more than what I was comfortable with (which usually happens at other optometrists). Dr. K was incredibly informative during my exam and there was not a long wait. There was a small frame selection BUT, there was a wide variety of colors, shapes, and sizes among what they had. 10/10 would recommend! ✨

My interest was piqued when I saw their advertisement in the Local impact news. I was way overdo on my eyes and had been avoiding the “bi-focal” phase. My son is dyslexic and had issues with color. Dr. K was amazing. The exams were thorough and her testing of my son resulted in the need for some muscle therapy which may reduce his dyslexia (letters moving) and correct the color blindness. We were moved to tears! This could make things so much simpler and enjoyable for my son! I am very particular about any medical care of/for my son and Dr. K exceeded anything I could have expected. I highly recommend her and her eye ware selection is great. Lots of very hip bifocals!

Went for an eye exam and update on prescription. Really appreciated that after the eye exam the doctor explained my prescription and discussed how my eyes have developed. And with the change in prescription they showed me what it will look like out front in natural light instead of just in the exam room. I really appreciated the attention to details and will definitely recommend and be back.

The staff here is soooooooo incredibly helpful and nice. Services are affordable if you dont have vision insurance, and they really want to help you find the best possible solutions to your needs.

Wonderful experience. They were very thorough. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. I had an emergency issue that I called about on a Friday evening and Dr Kekahuna called me back Saturday morning. She saw me the first day available the next week. For years, I have had glasses that didn’t really help me, I’ve been to multiple eye doctors and nothing seemed to help, but when I saw Dr.K she immediately understood what was happening and fixed it for me! I thought about not sharing my review as I’ve never felt the need to do one before, but after talking to a few friends who work in similar settings and setting appointments with other doctors, I am quite upset at how my appointment turned out. The staff and doctor were very nice, however I wasn’t told that my insurance wasn’t covering my exam until after it was done. At that point there wasn’t really anything that could be done and I realized I was going to have to pay for the exam out of pocket. I wasn’t completely upset though until I realized that I also had to pay more out of pocket for my frames and it wasn’t until I decided to ask for a refund that I was offered other options that my insurance would fully cover. I know that I should have been better educated about it, but I decided to call a few offices just to see what the intake process was like and every single one of them either told me on the phone or called me back to let me know that my insurance would not cover the exam. I really liked the women who were working in the office so this is why I didn’t want to give this review but after I tried it a couple of times with other offices I wanted to go ahead and share.

We were very impressed with the doctor and her staff here. Not only were they able to fit us in at the last minute, they were very patient, thorough, and helped correct some previously unnoticed vision issues. Would highly recommend to anybody!
