I love this store. Its a little pricey but the customer service is the best ever! Great dr and great staff.

We went twice, first for my husband‘s exam and then for my daughters and both times they were excellent! Awesome customer service, first time I go to a Optometrist and they make us feel this way. I didn’t get their names but both times we spoke to male receptionist and the male doctor. They were very sweet and attentive. Also very clean environment and they kept cleaning and disinfecting after every patient and before every patient! Glad we found a great Optometrist to take my family to. Definitely recommend them!

Excellent customer service. Very thorough and caring. Everyone was wearing a mask. Since I am at risk, this was very important. Their prices are reasonable and they have a good selection of frames.

I just had the best eye exam experience at Texas State Optical in Kyle. From start to finish, every member of the staff was kind & professional. After 10 years of dealing with dry eyes, I’ve received a promising treatment suggestion that I’m looking forward to trying to protect my retinas. I have found the practice that will help me take care of my eyes.

I get new TRIVEX lenses every 2-3 years.AND, I always get them from TSO in Kyle, Texas.The folks there are outstanding!In particular, Jeremy always disposes of the old lenses and installs the new lenses to perfection!I wouldn’t think of going elsewhere…😏

The ladies who assisted me with new frames, etc. could not have been nicer. They seemed to really enjoy what they do and worked so well together. They made me feel special.

Scheduled an appointment online a few days ago. Was doing a few things at once and accidentally wrote down 9:30 instead of 9:20. Walked in at 9:33 and they refused to see me. Didn’t receive any confirmations for my appointment so I assumed I was only a few minutes late due to the rain. I understand keeping the tight schedule but they weren’t even willing to let me wait if the 9:40 was a no show or not. I won’t be able to reschedule an appointment for months. Have always been a TSO customer. Will look elsewhere.

Great experience at Texas State Optical in Kyle. Staff were courteous and professional for the entire visit. They also demonstrated care for their patients through diligent attention to COVID-19 protocols.

My daughter had an appointment at the store and was exactly 10 minutes late for her appointment, in fact was walking in the door at exactly 10 minutes past her appointment time. I understand that late is late; however, in times like we are dealing with right now, humanity and a little bit of grace goes an incredibly long way. Nonetheless, my daughter was belittled for being late, told that she had to reschedule her appointment for next week, and charged $40 for the appointment she showed up to 10 minutes late. The person who she worked with was named Louis.My daughter called me after this horrible experience, at which time I called and asked to speak with the office manager. I thought that as a manager, he would be willing to offer some compassion in the situation. Instead he was equally rude and refused to acknowledge that my daughter was treated badly. Furthermore Jeremy talked down to me, and was completely disrespectful. I tried to remind him that, aside from the humanity that was lacking in this interaction, there was also going to be a loss of money and business for the store. My daughter has come to this store for several years for all of her needs, and my entire family uses TSO, though not this store in particular. Not only was the manager not affected by my request for kindness, he was unaffected by the knowledge that he would be costing the company a great deal of money because of the poor customer service he and Louis gave.

Nice place. The dr is friendly and pretty thorough. Nice selection of frames and helpful employees. I don’t really like waiting 2 weeks to get my new glasses though. Might get my exam here next time but buy glasses at LensCrafters

I had a frame that had a design issue and the original frame broke. They replaced it quickly with the same new frame and unfortunately it broke at the same place a few weeks later. TSO in Kyle allowed me to choose a new frame design and replaced both frame and lenses at no cost to me. Great customer service, clean socially distanced office practices, and Id highly recommend them to anyone.

TSI is the best place I have ever gotten glasses from. The Doctor gave me the most through exam I’ve ever had. He explained all the exam results with me and was very careful to make sure I had the best vision possible. The office personnel were friendly and really enjoyed working with them to pick out my glasses and sunglasses. Frames were very reasonably priced and they had a great variety for me to chose from. I love my glasses and it’s obvious that my prescription is spot on.

This was my second time as a patient with TSO. They took great care of my needs and even handled a lens replacement for my glasses within about 5 days (as was their ETA). I really appreciate these folks.

I just went here to my appointment like it was scheduled. I work in the emergency room as a nurse, I have had no symptoms or showing any signs of concern for what is going on currently, I was refused to be treated because of my line of work, helping treat patients who are ill with this disease or suspected of having it. It’s like nurses or medical staff don’t need to see during this time. Completely wasted time not notifying anyone coming of their criteria of who they will refuse. To anyone reading this that is apart of the medical field, I hope you don’t have trouble seeing or need to be evaluated during this time because you will not be seen here. Used to go here only, I will never return again, would give 0 stars if it was an option. Completely useless.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have been waiting on my contacts to be shipped to me for over two weeks. I never got a confirmation that they were sent out, UPS and the Postal Service lost my products. And now Texas State optical is trying to just give me a 20% discount so instead of paying $180 they want me to pay $120 for replacement contacts that I already paid for. It is extremely difficult to just cough up another $119 during a pandemic when money is short and I’ve already paid for my products. The manager, Jerry, will tell you it’s not “their responsibility”, so don’t bother calling with a problem.

Dr. Nathaniel Dolbee has been the best eye doctor I have ever visited. He was thorough and engaged, not at all mechanical while diagnosing. He really listened and gave good advice. And the staff is super professional and friendly; I felt super taken care of. Thank you!

These guys do awesome work and provide top notch services. They are local to us. The eye exams are easy and use current technology. The service on booking appointments, buying frames, adjusting frames and fixing loose screws etc., is really great. We have been using these services here for several years now for each member of our family.

Absolutely the best eye experience we have ever had. The Exam was relaxed and was not done on a time schedule. Alex did a great job helping us select and fit our glasses.

Everyone was sincere with their caring of my 86 year old mother. She has always been nervous with doctors visits. However, she has been made to feel comfortable with Dr. Dolbee and the staff.

Staff was very knowledgeable, had all of my coverages for my insurance, and explained every item in great detail. I was very pleased with my visit and can’t wait to get my new glasses.

My son needed an initial eye exam. Being able to book online for the next day and got a phone call to confirm make the process of getting in super simple. For the visit the tech and Dr Dolbee were fantastic, they talked through the entire exam and made sure my son was comfortable and understood everything that was happening. Our experience was excellent and will be returning.

I cannot say enough how helpful the TSO staff was. It had been five years since my last exam before coming here and I was starting to experience headaches. The doctor said that my script was too strong and, after updating it, Ive never had better vision. What a great experience.

TSO offers a great experience if you are looking for quality eye care. Their staff was very courteous. Dr. Doan was extremely thorough in her explanations during the examination. When I was looking through their frames the staff was attentive but didnt sell. I dont give five stars often. From my experience, TSO in Kyle deserves that kind of rating.

Their staff is always friendly and so helpful!! They also make your glasses right there on site. Sometimes you have to wait for them to order the lenses but usually only takes about a week. Last year I had a problem with the lenses looking like they were scratched. They took the time to figure out that they werent scratched on the outside but a defect in the actual lenses and ordered from another company. Thank you for always being so patient and helpful.

Scheduling an appointment was quick and easy. They had availability for a Saturday just 3 days away, which fit great with my schedule. The staff and OD made me feel comfortable and well taken care of. Ordering contacts was a breeze. Very nice office, and convenient location as well!

Every staff member Ive met here is very friendly. Dr. Dolbee is very kind and thorough. I only come once a year to check my eyes for my contact prescription and I love that I can come on my lunch break and be done in 30 minutes or less.

The doctor was knowledgeable, thorough, and gave me some good advice. The equipment they use to test your eyes, is up to date and modern.

Every since I stopped by TSO a couple of years ago I been treated Great and the Friendly Staff Always has taken care of me since! I received an eye exam, picked out my glasses the first time and went back 2-3 times due to my baby grandson bending and or, pulling my lens off the frame and they were very quick in fixing my glasses Right There on the Spot!! So just stopped in yesterday on 8.16.19 and had my annual eye exam done and ordered my 2nd pair of glasses as a backup :) THANK YOU Javi, Jeremy and Fernando for providing EXCELLENT Customer Service!! #GreatStaff

I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff. Patrick assisted me by showing me several frames. I took a long time to decide which one I liked best and he was very patient and kind and told me to take as much time as I needed, even though there were several other customers waiting to be helped! I highly recommend TSO in Kyle, TX!!

I called on a Tuesday at 2pm with complaints of a red eye, which turned out to be an infection. They were able to get me in and see me and still made sure I got out in time to get to work by 4pm even though they had no appointments left open. The staff was super nice and very sympathetic to my situation and when I had to return the next day for a check up, the same staff was there. The staff remembered me and had me in and out very quick. This place is super friendly, very nice and more than helpful. This wasnt my permanent eye doctor, but after such a pleasant experience, they will be. I highly recommend them.
