The front desk receptionist (male) during my appointment on 10/12/21 was very friendly. The young lady (Ophthalmic Tech) who I saw prior to seeing the Ophthalmologist/Optometrist was very professional and courtesy. The exam done by the Provider was very quick. The issue arose when I was sent to see the ladies who assist with the checkout process. They were a bit dismissive. There were three ladies in checkout/glasses area, one Caucasian and two of Hispanic origins. The Caucasian lady was dismissive and rude at times during my time in the office. The Hispanic ladies were somewhat professional and did the best they can. During my visit I did observe a difference in treatment of Caucasian patients compared to a person of color. My family just moved to the area from a diverse area and I do notice a trend in Kyle if you are not of Caucasian or Hispanic decent, you are treated differently & my interaction with this establishment falls in line with what we’ve experienced.

My first visit was awesome! Most thorough eye exam I have had. Dr Thornton was great and Jenni hooked me up with glasses. The first lady that did the test was awesome, sorry didnt catch her name. Great experience, I would highly recommend and have found my home for eye care. They should all get ice cream on Friday!

I used them for a couple years and was satisfied. But when I asked if they could remove something from my eye that had been bothering me for a couple weeks, they were glad to ... for $200. Seriously? Yes. Seriously. I go elsewhere now for my exams.

Awesome experience from booking to final purchase of glasses. Check in process was easy with a very friendly staff. Awesome technology and made me feel like they were able to give me a thorough exam and check every bit of my eyes. Very knowledgeable and explained some issues I was having in a way that was easy to understand and provided simple treatments for it. There is a great selection of glasses. Sergio helped me pick out my glasses and went through all my options as far as cost and quality. He recommended multiple options I wouldn’t even have thought about but needed for my everyday use. Very pleased with his knowledge and attention to detail, which helped me zero in on the glasses I purchased. Kudos to this location for the friendliness and helpfulness of all its staff. Thank you

We had the best experience today at this visit. Ashleigh the tech was the best tech we have had here at Kyle Vision Source. We have been coming here for years and she was the best!!!! She was kind, patient and friendly. Dr. Thornton was also patient with my 12 yo daughter today who was seeing the eye doctor for the first time. Adela was also helpful while she was picking out her glasses.

Was really disappointed. Va handle my health care. I just needed eye exam. VA recently took care of what they wanted to do medically. I understand they want a VA referral. That would cause my VA health network to be changed to Austin network. I guess this comment is more for Vision Source to better understand my situation. I was in dire need of glasses.

Jenny is so great at her job! This was the second time she’s helped me and both times she went above and beyond to make me happy! Not only did she educate me by breaking down my benefits, but she even spruced up my current pair of spectacles with a fresh cleaning and new tape for the temple tip my doggie chewed on. The girl is basically bringing Chick-fil-A level service to the eye doc!!

I went here recently and was impressed by the prompt response and friendliness of the staff! From front desk to time of checkout. Leah was great too - she checked me in and then also when I had to pick up my glasses she brought them out to my car, had me try them on and made sure I was comfortable with them before leaving.

We had a such an amazing experience it was my daughters first eye exam and she needed glasses pretty bad she had school on Monday and we went on a Friday from the front desk to our lovely technician Angelica to Dr.Horton then to Jenny who helped us pick out the cutest frames and was such a sweetheart to be around we had the best experience I wasn’t sure about having to wait on frames due to her need of them at that moment but Rachelle came over and offered to cut the frames in house to make sure my baby had her glasses for Monday the staff was absolutely amazing! I just got a call saying they are ready today thank you for making my daughters needs a priority! We will be back!

The Kyle Vision Source staff were wonderful! Had been going to vision source. Today I walked in waited. do to they were with another customer. Then they were like your 10min late your appt. Has been canceled. My glasses had broken I work at a hospital near by was there 8min. After my 830 appointment. Was so upset will not ever go there again.

I have been going to Kyle Vision Source for 5 years now. Everyone here is so helpful, encouraging, pleasant, kind, and compassionate. Words would not be able to describe the care that the staff at this location gives to every person who walks through their doors.About a year ago, I had to make an emergency appt for double vision that appeared out of the blue. I was met with Dr. Isabel Ruiz, she was kind and dedicated to helping me figure out what was happening. After the exam she referred me for an MRI at the hospital where I was then told I have multiple sclerosis. Words will never be able to express my gratitude for Dr. Ruiz and I am so thankful we crossed paths. If not for her, who knows how long it would have been before I found out what was going on.Coming back a year later after my diagnosis I met with Dr. Ruiz for my eye exam, she remembered me and talked to me about how MS can affect my vision and how it’s connected with my brain and neurons. She expressed so much care and love for me as a patient and what I was going through as a person.She had more knowledge about MS than the ER doctor who tried to turn me away.Dr. Ruiz is hands down THE most compassionate and knowledgeable person and optometrist I’ve ever met. She cares about people and you would be doing yourself a disservice by not going to see her and the staff at Kyle Vision Source.

WOW!!! This place is fantastic!!! Its hard to find a good business like this one that makes you feel good when you leave. From the minute I walked in to the minute I left, the team work they have going is fabulous! From the beautiful young lady checking in, to Liz, another beautiful young lady who took me back and did part of my exam, to Dr. Thornton to Adele and Jenna....more beautiful young ladies that blew me away! Dr. Thornton is a guy but very knowledgeable and super great and super friendly! He knows his stuff people.....All were TOP-NOTCH! Kyle Vision Source will be the place I go from now on. I dont have insurance either....and they were much cheaper than most others Ive been to. All in all.....when I left, I felt uplifted. I felt super happy and felt I got a VERY GOOD exam and also a good pair of glasses coming. You dont find many places like this one these days. So excited I didnt listen to bad reviews. This experience was super cool. The staff from start to finish were professional, engaging and knowledgeable!! The doc took time to educate me on my new prescription glasses which I know will help my transition into progressives. Everyone made me feel comfortable and the place was clean!!! Literally the worst place in the history of places. Everyone walking around with their heads in the clouds with no idea of how to problem solve. Okay yall... you lost the contacts or gave them to someone else, mistakenly... ORDER SOME MORE! Easy as that. Wow.

The customer service was wonderful and everything went very smoothly. They did a great job of explaining the different tests and the results. My one, minor, complaint is that there wasnt a crazy amount of mens glasses options, but other than that it was a good experience.

The service was excellent. They were professional and adhered to all safety protocols as soon as I entered (as a nurse this is important to me). The staff was friendly and helpful. I worked with Dr. Shaikh, Raechelle, and Liz. I recommend them highly. All of my expectations were met and exceeded.

I came in hoping to get the regular glasses I always get and adela helped me get out of my comfort zone and picked out some SUPER cute frames that I fell in love w. I haven’t been to a vision center that has had great customer service all around, and this one was it. I loved the fact that everyone helped out w me choosing because of me being so indecisive. LOVE IT HERE. 🥰

Jenny, Liz, and Rachel were all very plesureable and made the experience a fun one while also providing excellent service. Not to mention that while I wait for my new glasses my old ones got serviced to like new condition thanks to Jennys exceptional customer care. Everyone was amazing! The only name I remember is Liz who took me back for the exam. She made it a great experience from the start!! I wish I remembered everyone else’s names because it was truly a great experience!!

I made an appointment for a basic eye exam using our vision insurance. Several hours later a lady phones insisting I need a referral from my medical doctor to have the appointment. I insisted that I see my own ophthalmologist for medical eye issues. She was adamant that I needed a dr referral because they, “are good doctors and may find something medical and then they would have to bill you for that.” Needless to say, I cancelled the appointment. I typically spend between 700-1,000 after insurance on designer frames and upgraded lenses. In the words of Julia Roberts, “Mistake. Big mistake. Huge.”

From signing in, the exam, and finally picking out glasses in the end, I was treated so well by everyone in the store. The atmosphere was light and positive. Never thought I would have a good time going to the eye doctor!

I had the BEST experience with Adela and Jenny at Kyle Vision Source! I have worn glasses/contacts for over 30 years and havent gotten new glasses in years since I always wear contacts. They were so patient and helpful when I was choosing frames and options. I feel I got the best glasses at a good price, and confident that they will look great on me too, thanks to these ladies!

From the time I called for an appointment to the minute I left the facility, every person I spoke with was completely professional and quite knowledgeable.Brie got started getting me set up and ready for Dr. Ruiz to get going on my eye exam. Bries photos of my eyes helped me to understand what things were like to start with. Much appreciated!Dr. Ruiz was remarkably efficient and knowledgeable. Answering my questions completely. Their automated method of checking my vision was painless and very accurate.All in all, a first class experience from start to finish. I highly recommend this provider in Kyle.

The appointment was quick and easy. Staff was very professional and were able to answer any questions I had.

This was a great visit. Social distancing and sanitation procedures in place, and Dr. Ruiz explained all the tests that were happening—something nobody’s done for me before. Adela helped me navigate the medical+vision insurance combo I have, and we were able to find a contacts order that saves me money and kept my eyes safer since I only occasionally wear my contacts.(In case you didn’t know, 30-day contacts aren’t good for 30 days of wear, they’re good for 30 days from the package opening.)

Poor customer service. Definitely do not recommend to anyone. Cant get a simple eye exam with out medical insurance.Pure BS

Always a pleasant experience at Kyle Vision Source. Fast, efficient, and thorough, and this was even before COVID-19. But due to the pandemic, the are following cleanliness protocols—asking patients to wash hands, use masks, plus adding plastic partitions, and sanitizing frames clients handle/try on. Dr. Shaikh and Raechelle were fantastic in making this a great experience.

Dr. Ruiz and Liz were both great, they showed a great amount of patience as well as proficiency in what they do. Katelynn was extremely helpful despite my insurance being a nag. I honestly couldn’t find anything to complain if I tried. Would highly recommend to anyone in need of optometry.

I can say hands up 🙌 to the Doc! I have been to 2 other vision centers in Kyle/Buda area. And He was by far most the one most intrested in my vision. I did not go in for glasses, i went in for feeling something in my eyes for days. And i felt the care. The other docs about a year ago i went said well cant do nothing rub water on your eyes and see if pain goes away. Yes it was for something different, but i never felt the care. Thanks Doc. Like you said hope not to see you again, unless it does not get better... But if the feeling keeps on we shall meet again no doubt. Thank You Vision Source!

I had to search for a new eye doctor that took my insurance and found Kyle Vision Source. Overall exam was good. I was being fitted for contacts and was really struggling with putting them in for the first time. Melissa tried to give me some pointers on how to put them in, but after an hour, I still couldn’t do it. In walks Bree! She was a breath of fresh air and she changed the brand and got them put in. It was great! Bree did a fantastic job and she will be the reason I go back! Thank you Bree!

Even though they are in the network for my vision plan, they insisted on taking my Aetna medical insurance information, and then were going to bill my exam through Aetna, which requires a co-pay on my part, and they wanted me to sign a paper saying I understood that the cost could be up to a certain amount. My yearly vision exam was supposed to be free through my vision plan (and yes, I understand there can be add-ons). I questioned this and received a non-informational answer. I then walked out and went to a very capable practice in Austin who said of course my exam with my vision plan was no charge. Why would I even have a vision plan if the supposedly in-network eye practice prefers to bill my medical insurance instead, costing me extra money? Plus, my husband still goes here, and he requested a copy of his prescription; 6 hours later they were closed, and no email link to records arrived, and his calls before they closed were not returned. The medical care seems fine; the office practices not so much. My husband will not be going here any longer.

Dr. Isabel Ruiz is a wonderful optometrist, she kept me well informed with how my vision was. Only downside of my visit was that when selecting my new frames and lenses i seemed rush and I had asked for a benefit summary of what my insurance covered and they just read it to me. My glasses were close to $300 I have vision and medical w/vision buy up thats insane. I bought a pair of sunglasses that were prescribed and frame was a designer brand and only paid $80 and they were shipped from NY within a week

During the pre-exam, Liz was efficient, thorough, and very pleasant while making me feel at ease before I saw the doctor.When I met Dr. Thornton, he was also very friendly, thorough, detailed oriented, and took his time answering questions and explaining things in an easy to understand manner. And I learned stuff from him I didnt know but good to know... He is so cool!Afterwards, I sat down with Raechelle who, patiently, helped me select two new pair of glasses, despite the amount of time it took me to make up my mind, I never felt rushed or pressured, she was Awesome! All the other staff were just as friendly and helpful.My annual vision needs and expectations were not just met but were exceeded!This is my new go-to spot for all my vision needs. 😎

My RX Sunglasses got bent up and the lens knocked out. They got me in, I figured there was no way they could be fixed, but Tara worked a miracle. Picked out a new backup pair of sunglasses while they got fixed. Great selection, and they are really on top of COVID precautions, sterilizing frames after I tried them on, barrier between me and the Optician.Would definitely recommend.

Cheyenne and Casey were excellent today when dealing with my glasses and exam. I am very pleased with my experience at Kyle Vision Source. As soon as I walked in, Liz made me feel at home. I waited less than 10 minutes for the doctor to see me. Dr. Ruiz was very polite and answered all of my questions and I never felt rushed. Brianna brought my contact lens samples, explained their return/exchange policy, and I left. A few days later, I called them back and told them I wasnt happy with my samples. They immediately scheduled a new appointment for me. When I came back in, Liz recognized me and once again made me feel welcome. Brianna assisted me with choosing a different brand of contacts. No extra charges. Not sure how my experience could have been any better.

First time there, and will be back, as soon as I walked in I was greeted and asked to sanitize my hands, so that tells me that there making sure to apply rules and regulations to keep clinic clean and safe, met Dr,Ruiz she was great and very informative, when it came time to pick out frames and lenses Adela was such a help. She made sure to walk me through all the types of lenses to pick from .I will definitely be going back .

Love it here and love my glasses! 10/10 recommend!!! Dr. Hunyh was very informative:)
