Do NOT believe any of what you read in all these wonderful review. Do yourself a favor and judge for yourself as I did. I am a born skeptic. By far they are the best automotive repair shop Ive dealt with in Charleston and the surrounding areas and believe me, Ive dealt with plenty. Joe and his Son doesnt tell you what you want to hear, they tell you what you need to know . I appreciate honesty and fair pricing and that is only some of what you get here. Not only do I take my vehicles there, my wife, son and daughter does as well and we are all of the same opinion about this place. The absolute best place to take your car to if it needs any sort of work done to it. They are so honest and their prices are fair. The mechanics are extremely knowledgeable and they more that know what they are doing. I couldnt ask for better people or a better place to take my car to when something goes wrong (because lets face it, life happens). They have always been honest with me about any diagnosis and they call me first & let me know what the problem is. Second, let me know what its going to take to fix it, & third, let me know how much itll cost & ask me if thats okay & if I agree. Then they will move forward & fix it. Everyone is always on the same page. With Covid going on they are open & still operational Monday thru Friday but the way it works now is you leave your keys in a key drop in an envelope with your information on it & the problem/problems that you are having with your vehicle. Then, if anything does need to be done to the car you can give them your credit card or debit card information to pay with. That way, everything is contactless. I highly, highly recommend this establishment if you need a great mechanic. They are the best! I wont take my car anywhere else.

I have had 2 urgent repairs on my vehicle in the last two weeks. I also had a oil leak earlier in the year. All 3 times they have taken care of the issue quickly and completely. The 2 urgent situations they got my vehicle in quick to figure out the problem. I knew it could still take time to fix, but they always had it done earlier than expected. They are honest and helpful. I will continue to take my vehicle here.

We have used these guys many times. They are honest, thorough, fast. They address what issues WE have before they begin suggesting any other fixes. When they do make suggestions they tell you why and how it will be fixed and how much and they don’t try to talk you into something you don’t need. We’ve brought all three of our cars in for work and we’ve never felt cheated or as if the work wasn’t done properly. They are also fast at addressing what is wrong. We brought our car in this morning and within maybe 30 minutes we got a call back. We highly recommend them.

I took my 04 350z to Automotive Solutions today for a manifold gasket leak repair and oil change. Joe Sr. gave me the total price and told me it may take a while, a couple of hours to complete the job as his son Joe Jr had already started to get to work on it straight away. I was willing to wait in the lobby area as they work on my car but Joe Sr offered to take me back to my home in his truck so that I can get other things done instead of just sitting around. I accepted his offer and he drove me back to my home which was about a 5-10 min drive. He even offered to pick me back up after the repair was done! Awesome! Im always super impressed with the customer service mentality this business extend to their customers as well as the fantastic service they perform on my car. I use to take my Z to Hudson Nissan for services, but not anymore since the last past 2 yrs. Im always pleased with the results, the quick repairs, the attention to detail and honest communication both Joes offer as well as the fair pricing. Definitely the best in the business, hands down! I swear Ill never trust taking my Z for services to anybody else except Automotive Solutions! Great job guys as always! Youre always taking care of me and the BLACKHAMMER!. Thank you. Joe and Joe Jr. were awesome help. It is so nice these days to be able to walk in or call an auto shop and speak to an actual mechanic without a sales person in the way. This Father and Son team are the best and nicest people I have come across. I brought my car to them after I had it at another shop where they told me it needed a new motor and within 2 hours Joe junior calls me with a diagnosis that diesel fuel was put in my daughters car instead of regular fuel by AAA. I paid them 470 some-odd dollars for the repair and I chase down AAA and got $394 back plus a free years membership.. they not only fixed the problem that Jennings Towing caused but they also fixed another problem that I paid for separately and the car runs like its brand new. I cant thank these guys enough forgetting us up and running during the holidays and doing it so quick. I have four cars in my household and they will all go to the shop from now on. I know theyre from Pennsylvania and Im from New England but Im still going to have to go for the Patriots even though I love my new found friends

Had an ABS light diagnosed. They said it was the sensor so I had them replace it. I drive around for a few days and the light comes back on. Its obviously the same symptom so I took it back and they diagnosed it again. They said its another ABS sensor. So, I declined the repair and decided to live with it since Im not going to replace sensor after sensor. I arrive to pick up my car and they say I owe $25 for the 2nd diagnoses. This is insane since its the same symptom I had just payed to get diagnosed and had fixed there. There was no mention of another diagnoses fee when dropping it off that 2nd time. They refused to waive the fee. Wont be going back and will spread the word.

This father son team is the best! Im having friends and co-workers transport me back and forth to work due to medical issues. One of my friends car died at the end of my driveway a couple months ago. She lives 21 miles away. We towed the car to Automotive Solutions and she had it back the next day. They are very honest and extremely reliable. Kudos to you Automotive Solutions!

These people are not honest mechanics. I had them change my distributor in my truck. They charged $330 for the part. They use parks automotive for there parts. Parks sale the distributor for a little over $80. I can understand a 10% -20% markup, but this was ridiculous.

These guys are fantastic. When I needed an expensive repair, they offered me a cheaper option I would not have otherwise known about. And when my old car finally became more expensive to maintain than it was worth, they were upfront with me about pricing and never pushed me for expensive repairs. Theyre quick, they do excellent work, and theyre honest.I cant recommend them enough.

Most honest mechanic I found in 20 years of living in Charleston. Fair prices, never charge for anything that you dont need, and reliable repairs. Have all of my vehicles serviced through them. Not usually a very long wait and they communicate with you if there will be. Have even driven one of us home before when we lived nearby when our repair was going to take longer than expected. Recommended that you drop vehicles off at night and leave keys in the drop box or come first thing in the morning if possible, so you catch them before they get busy. Big orange building off College Park between the on-ramp to 26 and the Food Lion at Crowfield. Cant miss it.

I have been here multiple times, I actually go out of my way to go here. I live on James Island and this is about 30 minutes away. They remember me, my vehicle and even my boyfriends father whom we received the car from. They ask about him every time even though they havent seen him in years! They always take the truck in and do it as fast as they can and its a fair price, I love this place and will continue to go out of my way to get my oil changed here!!!

I was quite disappointed. My husband and I are new to the area looking for a reliable car service. We began researching and this place had the highest rating that we could find. Unfortunately, after driving all the way out there to get two oil changes two hours before they closed we were turned down. We were not given a reason and because new years is two days away they are closing the rest of the week and didnt even give us an opportunity to come back. We ended up having to go to another place that has less stars but we were in and out with two cars in less than 30 minutes.

We took our car there to replace brakes and rotors, they were very fast and courteous. This shop is the best in town and I would recommend them to everyone . My car feels brand new!!! Thanks guys for the great work

Never have and never will i do business with these dudes. They are rude and very lucky im a cooler head than what i was before humbling myself. I was a customer at the Quick tire next door to them(quick tire is very professional and great guys) but anyways they are not business savy at all, but again... I was not there customer at all i was next door at the best tire shop in Charleston South Carolina though. Typical for you to try to cover your back with a story but you and i both know why i put the review up and im NOT gonna remove it. You know the type of people you guys are and im gonna just leave it as that.
