I only take my M3 to Mike and the team at German Auto Werks. They are professional, super knowledgeable, and competitively priced. They always handle my vehicle with care like its their own. Theyve replaced my oil filter housing and valve cover gaskets on my S55 engine. Theyve also dialed in my suspension so well with KW coilovers that the ride is better than it was when it was stock because of their attention to detail.

Last week I got a check engine light on my 2011 X5. I took it in, and Mike checked the code that afternoon. It was the throttle motor. He had it fixed in a day!! I was so happy since this is my daily driver. The words I would use to describe my experience are efficient, professional, trustworthy, knowledgeable and personable. He took the time to explain the codes and what work would be needed. I live in New Lenox. It took me an hour plus to get there. It was well worth the trip! I will definitely come back in the future! Huge thanks to Mike and his team at German Auto Werks. I had to replace my engine on my x5 due to a leaky injector washed down the cylinder wall and caused cylinder wall damage. After dealer denied the warranty claim and quoted me for over $15k to do the job, I decided to do some research and found German Auto Werks. After talking with Mike, his knowledge and 20 years of BMW master tech experience give me the confidence to bring my car all the way from Ames, Iowa to him. Not only that, his price is a fraction of what dealer quoted me. During the whole process Mike kept me updated of the progress let me know what exactly is going on. I personally work as a test engineer at a drivetrain testing company, I would recommend Mike to anyone to bring their BMW in for service and repair. The level of knowledge and professionalism you just can’t easily elsewhere. He also nice enough to explain the dispute process at BMW, to let me have a chance to fight my engine replacement with BMWNA. Although you might get a fancy lounge to sit in and coffee to enjoy at the dealership, but when you need to get things done right and have someone you can trust Mike and his team at German Auto Werks is where you need to go.

I Have taken my BMW’s here for the last couple of years. Firstly, Mike is a great guy, and his work is impeccable. I recently had MY M4 in for a few upgrades. Most notably the crank hub, down pipes, and upgraded radiator. I also had him do a full DCT Trans service, diff service, coil packs, plugs, intake and a tune. His shop is super clean and always has a special assortment of cars.I could not be happier, this is the guy you want working on your cars, hands down.

Mike really helped me out, my 97 750il had a check engine light on for an odd reason. He diagnosed and fixed very quickly. Also is extremely knowledgable. I will be back

I have not had a chance to use their service yet but have stopped by the shop and inquired about a couple things. One of the most professional, knowledgeable techs I have met when it comes to BMWs. Always had time to talk and explain things to me without ever spending a $$ there. I will definitely be getting my car serviced here when the time comes.

We’ve been taking our cars to German Auto Werks for over a decade, despite living more than an hour away. Mike and his team are very knowledgeable and helpful, their work is excellent and timely, and prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend them and have referred a number of friends and family to them.

I have been taking my cars to German Auto Werks for 15 years. Service is always excellent, shop has factory tooling, parts, fluids, etc. And if there is something custom that needs to be machined - there is ability to do that as well. I live an hour away. Highly recommend.

I brought in my 2009 BMW M3 to get a repair done and the guys at German Auto Werks could not have been more helpful. They diagnosed the car the same day and told me exactly what needed to be fixed. Everyone there was very knowledgeable and helpful. They were able to answer all my questions and present me with multiple options for the repairs. I strongly recommend taking your car here as they will fix it correctly, quickly, and for a reasonable price.

Mike did a fantastic job on my 2015 BMW M4 build, which included a crank hub and full bolt-ons. I drove all the way from Bloomington Indiana as I did not trust local shops to do the work. He is extremely knowledgeable on parts and made me feel completely at ease. If I choose to upgrade the turbos and do more work, Ill be making the drive again.

Brought my 2017 BMW X3 35i down from Madison, WI to get a Pure Stage 2 turbo and FX-150 fuel pump installed. Mike’s work is outstanding, and he was easily able to fix some mistakes made by prior service and by my own DIY messing around as well. Clearly knowledgeable, well-equipped, and professional.Definitely worth the drive down, and my kids will never be late to soccer practice again!
