Jamie was an incredible and extremely knowledgeable manager to work with! He went over every detail of the bike I purchased and helped figure out which bike was best for me. I would highly recommend both Bicycle World Lake Worth as well as Jamie! I will definitely be going back there for all of my bike needs.

I brought my daughters small bike in we had donated to us to see what parts were missing and they showed me how to properly assemble the bike. They didnt have the part I needed for sale so they dug one up from an old bike and gave it to me for free. Super nice and knowledgeable staff.Brian and Peter were great!

Ive been to two bicycle shops in West Palm Beach. Id rather go to this business because they are a good bunch of guys.

Told me they had a bike part. I drove 40 miles and it turned out they did not have it after all. Not cool. I was very specific and i asked them to please be sure...I was not happy. They were very cavalier about that situation. I will not be shopping there anymore. Maybe I am a bit grumpy today also, but still. I do not appreciate apathy.

Part 2 of my review. (please find my part 1 for the main story that was condensed)At no point did i ask for any compensation for my terrible experience. I simply asked for my part to be warrantied and that was it. But today was the final straw. Not once did Dave reach out. Not once did I get a call back about ANYTHING. And the fact that my part wasn’t even ordered multiple times? AND Pat and Arnie being extremely rude to a customer that has been nothing but patient these last couple months?Ive made sure to tell my story to many pages and forums. Im telling my friends and family. Ill urge them to head to other businesses and spend their hard-earned cash there because those places actually care about the riders and their happiness. Im also going to be spending 300 dollars at another business that gave me tips and pointers throughout this ordeal. If you decide to ignore my story and continue to give this establishment your business and time, then congratulations youre an enabler and making sure that others down the road will experience the emotional rollercoaster I went through. Just wanted to thank Jamie and his staff for all of his expertise and for getting me back on the road again. Jeff (or was it Jim!.) was the best! I came in with a flat tire and a broken pump (that I broke but didn’t realize it). He had so much patience with me and filled the tire AND fixed the pump! I’m not from here but decided to buy a new helmet because he was just that nice. Awesome service that you don’t get very often! Bravo!

Place does not know what theyre doing. took my bike in for a new derailleur because my old one snapped and they told me it would be $30 over the phone then when I took it in and called them for the price they said because I needed a new chain supposedly because mine didnt have a master link which is unnecessary. in total they were trying to charge me $80. do not take your bike here unless you wanna be sold unnecessary stuff and up charged for no reason. place is no good

I needed a bike seat to accommodate these requirements; Brian an employee of this location had found me the perfect seat that fits these requirements. That I will be picking up today! Dont let them work on your bike. It is better to buy your own tools and learn how to build a bike yourself. I let them work on my drive train 8 months ago. It started cracking and popping recently. Bought a crank pull, pulled the crank and found a TRASHED bottom bracket. It has nearly no teeth, my new State bike is pretty much trash. I put a new bottim bracket in an old steel frame MYSELF, WITHOUT STRIPPING THE TEETH. Some other examples of their careless work is installing new brakes and NOT CONNECTING THE BRAKE WIRE. Another example is they changed the tube in my 28 size road wheel, it popped in two days because the size 18 TUBE COULDNT WITHSTAND. How can anyone screw up something so easy. These guys will destroy your property.

PRICE GOUGING!!!they tried to make me pay nearly $50 dollars for 2 bike tubes and install. i protested and they lowered it by a few dollars:not enough. then they gave me supply chain excuses---i can buy good quality bike tubes anywhere online.They have nearly doubled their prices since june.REALLY!!! and the whole back and forth spiel...this is lake worth way west of 95, not the sonoma valley... or orchard street.

I brought in my bike to replace the rear wheel after an accident. I explained that i had borrowed the bike from someone else and the rear wheel needed to look the same. I dropped off the bike and after over a week they told me the wheel had come in but was a different color. Again i told them the wheels needed to look the same. Every time I called to check on the status, they either could not find my bike or did not know who placed the order for the wheel. When they did reordered the wheel and also told me they were unable to match the tire color...which was blue. I ended up finding a blue tire myself online and dropped it off for them to install. After another week or so they said the wheel had arrived. I picked up the bike and after I paid for it, noticed the wheel was silver all around the top. (I did not know a plain black wheel was so hard to find). I called the store and left a message for the manager. When i did not receive a call back i called myself. The manager said since it was a Walmart bike..it was hard to find a replacement wheel. He said he would try and see if they could build me a plain black one. He never called back. Its been 2 weeks now and no callback. If they could not match the wheel color they should have told me that from the beginning, instead of keeping it for almost a month. Then at least I could have taken the bike somewhere else. I made it very clear I just wanted a plain black wheel. I guess after they take your money no one cares anymore. Very disappointed.

I took my bike there for a tune up. Took way too long and did not fix the problem. They even admitted that the mechanic just does not fel like working sometimes. Then this morning, I went there for some gloves. I could not go in and look at gloves so I asked when the store will actually be open for customers to come in. I was told, we do just fine. Guess what wiseass......you can do just fine without my business. And I have several high end bikes and spend an obscene amount of money on my hobbies, as do my friends!!!!!

The folks at Bicycle World have always been polite, professional and very helpful! Weve had numerous repairs done there on our family bikes and keep going back because of the great service.

If you have a Walmart bike bring it here. Mechanics barely understood what I was asking for my custom bike install. I needed disk brakes installed and aligned. Brake lines were installed unsecured and wrong routing. Also brakes were not adjusted so there was disk rub.Cassette was untightened after a change. Hand removable if not falling off. Mechanics also said they didnt have a crank puller to install my new cranks. This is a basic shop tool.Chain was also installed incorrectly, no links taken out so massive chain slap and the derailleur was not adjusted .All in all, my guess looking at the mechanic was that he was more interested in smoking weed than working on bikesedit: As some other reviewers said they asked for cash the machine was down, it seemed kinda sketchy and the price seemed alot for the work.

Wow this place is amazing. the young man who took care of us was wonderful. I highly recommend coming here for bicycle purchases and repairs.

Greg is amazing. I brought in a bike that was purchased from Target that broke the second time it was used. Greg was very friendly and explained the issues with the bike and options I had with fixing it. I feel he went above and beyond helping me fully understand how bikes are supposed to function and the time he took to really look at every piece. Targets bike guy did an incredibly poor job of putting my bike together, to a degree I was unaware of, until Gregs demonstration of a few things. I ended up returning the bike and purchasing one from Greg. I would definitely recommend this place because of the high level of customer service I received.

Bought an inner tube then second guessed my purchase. I brought the wheel and the unopened box to the store and they verified the size. Then, in spite of spending less than 7 bucks, they installed it for me! Big shout out to Juan who could not have been kinder of more helpful! Very impressed and wouldn’t hesitate to get all my bike needs met here!

How can you run a bicycle shop without letting people walk in??? These guys need to cowboy up and let people in the door!! Masks are enough! Peter at Bicycle World was great at selling us two bikes. He went out of his way to locate a bike that he knew my wife really wanted, found it, brought it in as an option even though we had bought a different one. She loved the bike he searched out and we bought two bikes plus a little more. Great job Peter, way to work for the customer!

Labor Costs were exorbitant and not explained to me prior to the work performed. Got new tires (just tires, not tubes) and new shifters and had $50.00 of labor to make the expense a jaw-dropper! Im still in shock looking at the receipt. I left feeling very heavy and dont plan on going back just based on this. The staff were fine and helpful which is why I gave them a 3.

So tell me how I brought my sons bike to get fixed, he needed a new wheel because his wheel frame was dent and kept getting flats. So I was told it will be in on Wed which was in a few days. I let Wed go by,I let Thurs go by and I called on Friday. They asked my ticket number and he couldnt find it, someone else came on the phone talking about oh it hasnt come in yet, AKA it never got ordered. Finally a week later I get the call that the bike is ready to pick up. I got to pick it up and the guy goes to get it and the other tire was flat, the guy said when he put air in it he might have put too much. So he gets a new inner tube to put on it and I go to check out. The other guy takes the box the new inner tube was in and scans it, Im like am i paying for that? And he goes yeah!!!. Like WTF bro when i dropped it off and that tire was completely fine, they were only fixing the back tire. He didnt even have to put air in the front tire and then come and try to charge me for it. Dude got his attitude because i said something, and just charged me for what I originally brought the bike for. That will definitely be my last time going there.

GREG was very helpful. I bought a bike from a box store on my second ride it broke. Brought it to Bicycle World for repair Greg said he would look at it and after going over the bike we decided to return it he got me into a Giant MTB that I love thanks guys.

Great upgrade / repair experience - took my bike here for some upgrades. they gave me a fair price and had my bike back in under a day. the mechanics and everyone in the shop were really knowledgeable, helpful and overall nice. lots of inventory in the store many different types of bikes.

Excellent prices, $100 less than local shop. Expert customer service, trial rides in the parking lot, delivery available if the bike wont fit in the back of your car. Pleasant, efficient staff. Lots of bikes in stock, big enough store so it doesnt seem crowded.

Waited 2 hours to be told my rims would not be ready until next week.

A good local bike shop. Was visiting for a short time period and needed a broken spoke repaired. They repaired it faster than their promised time and had me out in just a few hours. They were very helpful with some cleaning supplies I also needed and shared some places I could/should ride while visiting.Staff was very courteous.

Not sure what happened to this bike shop but it used to be my go-to shop. I bought my road bike there a couple of years ago. I took my bike in two weeks ago to have them check a noise coming from the bottom bracket. Said they checked it out and fixed it and, oh by the way, I needed a new chain. Third chain in 2 1/2 years?? Had them put on a new chain. Picked up the bike, very first ride with it, the gears in the rear cassette were slipping like crazy. Could not keep a steady rhythm riding the bike and took it back to the shop. They said it couldnt have had anything to do with the work they did on the bottom bracket or putting on the new chain. They had it for another 4 days. Not ONCE did they call me to give me a status of the repair. I had to call them, only to hear Oh, you were next on my list to call and let you know it is ready! BS! My bike would still be sitting there if I didnt call. Got it back and took it back out this morning, yup, gears still skipping and slipping and the bottom bracket is making the noise again. This shop has lost me as a customer. I will not go back there for anything, even a tube! Something changed and it was not for the good!Update: Took my bike to another shop two weeks ago for a professional fitting and before we even got started they looked over the bike and noticed that the pin holding the two ends of the chain together was not secured correctly. Guess who installed the chain?? Glad I wasn’t out on the road when the pin decided to come out! Stay away from these guys. They must have gotten rid of all the experienced mechanics and brought in people who don’t know what they are doing.

Overall wasn’t that impressed with my experience. Staff decent at best and prices not cheap. Decide not to purchase a bike.

I was in a bind for Mothers Day. I called the Bicycle Shop and the salesman was very helpful in suggesting a reliable and affordable bike for my wife. To make the service even above and beyond, the salesman brought the bike out to my truck because I was in my pjs and wasnt able to come in the store. The stockboy even put it in my truck. Very accommodating. My wife was very happy. I am going back to pick up a bike for myself. Thank you for your attentiveness.Rick V.

My bike broke down on me busy Thanksgiving week. It took longer than expected for them to repair, and they gave consideration for the delay when they charged me. I received kind and courteous customer service. Ultimately the job was done well and at price that was reasonable before they were kind enough to compensate for the time. Terrible service, there were 3 people in front of me who were also unhappy. A bunch of kids running this place. I needed a chain Cody said they have it, told me to bring my bike in and it would be ready in 30 minutes. Thats was at 2pm and it is now 330pm and Im in the parking lot still waiting.

Went in with my bike which wasnt riding to good and I had a thousand questions and Daniel was able to answer every last one without a problem. Tuned up my bike and even explained to me how to maintain my bike better. Will be back and I told all my fellow riders about the shop. Thanks Daniel

Brought bike in for tune up. Got it home and immediately without peddling a turn of the wheel the rear gear assembly had bent, or fallen off. I HAD DEFINITELY NOT CAUSED THE ISSUE. They said I had to pay $50 for a new assembly. I found there was no visible oiling or greasing that I expect to find in a bike tune up. Totally dissatisfied.

Its not fully operational. No bikes. Curbside pickup only. No fitting. There is no added value in going to a bicycle shop at this time.

I went to this shop on Friday to replace a tube after it was installed two weeks ago. I walked home and put the rim back on. Monday morning, I pull the bike out and the tube is flat. I hadn’t even rode the bike with it yet. I am so upset because I depend on this bike to get me to work. When I went to change the tube the mechanic blamed me for the flat stating, “ you must have hit those road spurs. I’ve had to change my tube theee times in one day.” I didn’t hit any road spurs as later on he stated that the tube installed by “this shop” was “cheap” and and the stem pulled out. I paid $13 for a tube that wasn’t even installed properly. That means I never received the goods and service I paid for which makes this a scam. I’m without a bike again and now have to find a bike shop that can actually do what they charge me for. This sucks. I wish I had read these reviews first. Shame on me.

Not what i expect out of a bicycle shop. Everything is a burden. I spent over $1,100 on 2 bicycles. And have had nothing but problems with the Giant bicycle. I feel i wasted my hard earned money!!

I called an hour ago and was told they had a green beach cruiser. Drove all the way over, waited outside and when someone finally came out they said they sold it 30 min ago. TERRIBLE WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS! I’ll never be back!!!

Went to buy something and the cashier is asking me for my personal information... sounded fishy when he started asking me my name, phone number, but after he asked for my home address I said no way absolutely not. I told him I dont feel comfortable giving you that information for a 3 dollar item and how come I cant just swipe my card. The reply was it is store policy. I told the cashier I was not going to make the purchase and left. Will not be going back. That policy is a very good way to scare your potential customers away...

It seems like the same thing every time I go to this place, I call and ask if they have a part “and I describe what I’m looking for completely” they tell me a price, I get there and it’s either the wrong part, they don’t have it, or in the last go round They tell me there must’ve been a misunderstanding, the part they told me they had is for the other store for a customer and I can’t have it.

I have been shopping at bicycle world for 2 years the staff is friendly and knowledgeable prices are reasonable parts and accessories are of good quality and there is a wide selection they will also be happy to order anything you need that they do not have in stock or get it from one of their other stores never had a problem at this place

These guys are the best took care of me with an issue I ran across with my carbon giant anthem. They call warrantee right away and my new frame is on its way, ask for Jeff hes a pro at what he does! Thank you bicycle world!

I could write a novel, but the short story is stay away. I purchased a 4k Giant ebike which ultimately was replaced by the manufacturer due to defects in the motor. Understand I had to stand on my head to get attention from them to involve the factory rep. Back and forth at least 6 times and problem substantiated by their mechanics every time. When I purchased the bike the seat post was cracked and when I pointed this out it was swapped out. On this new bike, I assume they torqued it according to spec as its carbon fiber, but again this cracked at or before136 miles as registered on the odometer. Called and asked them to order, 2 weeks later I called to inquire about the part and yes its in but whomever didnt call me. Drive 25 miles to the store to be told that this is not under warranty and I have to pay for it. They replaced the one on the original bike as that one was cracked upon purchase. Bicycle Worlds position is that they replaced it once. Are you kidding me, a few days on the road and the seat post splits and its on me? I have been riding for years and I know the difference between normal wear and tear and manufacturer material failure. Ive been in and out of shops for years, mostly with Specialized products and clearly this shop functions below big box stores. I bought an ebike due to health reasons, and I can unequivocally state that doing business with this company is not good for your health.

When they had Danny working and I would bring my bike in to get fixed I never had to come back and get things redone. Never an issue with him always done correctly. Was always well respected. Now they have these other guys and I had to bring my bike in twice for the same repair. Not worthy the drive there anymore. None of their shops are honestly worth the time. How nasty and disrespectful these kids are.They need to bring back the better worker or LC tri shop gained new business.

I got my bike serviced, first time customer. It took over 2 weeks to get it back, i had to make phone calls and they supposed to follow back. Lack of communication, i will never come back here again.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!I was told that it would take only 10 minutes to replace a chain. The store closes at 4 on Sunday, so I was there at 3:30 pm and the guys told me that I had to leave my bike. I guess they wanted to get ready for the Superbowl!

People at Bike America had my bike for 2 weeks and couldnt fix it. It was brand new and had a brake rub. These guys fixed it in 10 minutes.

Called to inquire about a specific tire. They looked, and told me they had it in stock. Went the next day to pick up, and the tire isnt there. Didnt offer to order it for me... just said sorry! I tried to buy local to keep the brick & mortars in business, but Amazon, here I come!

These guys rip you off, 29.99 for a cheap tire plus 29.95 to install it ! I was helping out a homeless gentleman in the bike store, The homeless guy whose parts I was paying for asked if they could help him out with a tire That they were gonna throw away.. They said it was against policy to help anybody out with used tires. Pretty sad that a huge black store like this place cant find it in his heart to give in give somebody $5 off for part. To make things worse I went back to talk to the owner and one of the sales guys got smart at the mouth which almost got him in trouble.....After being a customer for 30 years I will no longer buy parts or bikes from this place ever in my life again and I will definitely spread the word of the poor practices of business.....

I had a terrible experience here, when I first brought my bike in to get repaired they said it would only be 2/3 days max. So I waited to 6 pm on the 3rd day, no call or no update. So I call them to see what was going on, only to find out that they havent even started working on my bike. Along with that the price they quoted me was $50, they raised that to $100 after I already had to wait long then they told me. Once I went to pick up my bike they did not have a manager working at the time and did nothing to fix the situation. I was very disappointed in bicycle world, I would NOT recommend it to anyone. Do not go there!

I recently bought 2 bicycles here and the staff here is very friendly and helpful. For many years prior to that, they serviced our crusty, crappy dept store bikes without laughing, that is why I had no hesitation using them for new bike purchases.

The staff at this location are bad. I left a bike there to get a wheel replaced and a tune up, after the 4th day I had not heard from them and went and claimed my bike. They hadnt even touched it.When I tried to get my bike they tried to give be someone elses bike that was a newer more expensive model.I ended up at the Bicyclery in west palm beach. The price and service at bicyclery were better.

Went in person to purchase a bike as a gift. Ended up placing a request for a transfer from another store to this location. The employee said it would be in the next day and they will notify us once it arrived. We never got a call and had to look elsewhere.
