Came into this store with a 400 dollar bike that was given to me in shambles. Im usually a Walmart special bike kinda guy but when the bike was given to me I couldnt refuse. I was completely honest with the crew there about my knowledge of this specialized bike. They were completely honest with me back and told me just what she needed to get back on the trails. Had it finished the next day and works like a champ. Very fair prices and excellent service. Would recommend this shop to anyone who has an issue. Friendly,fast and honest. What more do ya need?

I walked 30 mins to rent a bike for 3 days. When I entered the store, someone hollered that they would be right with me. Since I was about to pee my pants from the long walk, I helped myself to the restroom that was in the common store area. The manager/owner proceeded to violently yell at me to get out. I decided that his extremely rude and hostile behavior was not someone that I wanted to enter an kind of arrangement with no matter how small. I left the restroom just as it was left the store to find another bike rental

I made a bad statement about family bicycle But I have to change my rating on them I won’t let no one touch my bike but family by so every time I go them it’s like a family they fix my bike with no problem and they tell me what’s wrong with it and they also sometime give me great deals on parts that I need I’m in them almost twice a month you know Ryan a bicycle is very expensive and can cause you especially if you don’t take care of her family by supers a good place that you can go and get your bike fixed and rent bikes I would recommend doing better than Bocabike shop to express mess

Great family owned store with good choice of parts and very friendly service. I had looked all over the area for a new complete rear wheel with v-brakes for 7 speed cassette, and they had in in the store. Best of all: they were kind enough to transfer the cassette and re-install the tire as well as fix the inner tube of the front wheel. In and out in 30 mins and at a good price.Now, that is service the old fashioned way!

I brought my bike here last Thursday morning to get the back tire trued, it wasnt bad but enough that the rim was catching the brakes a bit. They told me 24 to 48 hours. I called on Saturday (48 hours) and they told me they hadnt gotten to it and are closed Sunday so I wouldnt get it until Monday. I was fine with that, I understand bike shops have been busy since quarantine started. Called Monday morning and they still hadnt gotten to it. Finally I called in the afternoon and they said they would probably have it finished before they closed at 3. I went up there to get it and it took 10 mins to find my bike, it was mixed in with the bikes that were for sale. Get the bike home, go for a ride. Everything seems great. Just went to take it out today (following Thursday), and the tire is flat. I took it apart and turns out they had damaged the rim tape to the point it punctured the inner tube. So now I need to get a new tube and replace the rim tape. They were very careless in all aspects, I wont be going here again, I dont recommend this place, Relentless bikes is just around the corner.

My girlfriend came in and bought a bike. Within hours she called the store that it wasn’t for her and she wanted to return it the next day. That’s when all the salesmanship and niceness went out the window. We were told we had to wait till they finished lunch, and then had to wait for another hour plus to even see the person who could do the refund. Upon the managers return he tried to add 10% to a posted 5% restock fee for which we called him on it. Rip-off city. Refund done but not with graciousness or any kind of retention goal in mind. Just rude Save yourself the money and go to the bike shop on Lucerne that is right around the corner.

Very reasonable repair rates and fairly quick service

Very professional team there, the bike tech did not seem to speak English but was FANTASTIC at his job! He replaced my back wheel that was hit by a car with speed and accuracy... It went right back on my bike and spun true. The Guy I spoke to was 2nd generation owner and actually cared if I was satisfied...

We had a great experience renting bikes at Family Bicycle this spring! Staff was very helpful and kitted us up with new hybrid bikes, baskets, helmets and locks. The German made bikes were great to ride. We had previously stopped at another bike store in Ft Worth and they were not willing to rent hybrids bikes.

I never had a problem with them before, until now, the owner was pretty rude in answering some questions, neither him nor another employee where wearing masks, and acted as if he was doing me a favor in repairing my bike. Never again

What a great little shop right in the heart of downtown Lake Worth. The owners are all about customer service, have great knowledge, and just could not be nicer all around people. There is a great selection of rental bikes and new and used bikes for sale. They were fantastic to work with and I highly recommend the shop to anyone looking for a bike.

I purchased a bike from a different store and my first ride the gears were already grinding. I live close to this shop so decided to stop in for help. They not only fixed it in about ten minutes, but explained how to prevent it from happening again. No charge. Extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back in the future.

I was amazed by how great this shop is! I came 20 minutes late because google has the wrong hours (open until 5:30 weekdays). And they opened up and let me buy a light and helmet for my ride that evening. As a new neighbor to the area, Im very excited to find my new bike shop for repairs and gear. Thanks guys!

I rented a road bicycle from Albert, the owner, and had a wonderful experience. All the gears functioned perfectly and the bicycle was in excellent shape. Stop by for renting two bikes for one day. We had an excellent service. The suggested bikes were in perfect condition and we had a wonderful day. We recommend this store and for sure we will go again when we will come back to Lake Worth.

Be aware, the taller Spanish dude almost got knocked out because of his attitude. Can somebody tell me if a 20 inch rim includes the tire and not a 22 rim?? NO. JUST like a car, which this know-it-all debated, a 24 rim does not include the tire. He lost a sale because he knows it all. I came here for tire patches and ended up finding patches that were cheaper and better quality than Wal-Mart! I noticed the rear derailleur on my bike was bent and damaged by someone after spending the day at the beach. The guys at family cycle had done a great job assembling bike a couple months ago, so I knew they would solve my problem. Instead of charging me $50 for a new derailleur, their mechanic repaired it for just $20 in about 30 mins on a Saturday! If that doesn’t say everything about them, nothing will. And I can’t recommend them enough.

I took a pretty beat up bike to the store and they worked a miracle (or MIRACLES) on it.. cleaned it up, fixed what needed (and nothing that DIDNT need to be fixed), and got it back to me super quick. I was injured a few years ago and this bike was a necessary part of my rehab process. Alberto and Machin did an amazing job-- i consider them not only my friends but also Gods blessing. Yeah, theyre THAT good. Its not by accident that the store is called Family Bicycle.. they really treat you like family.

The staff there(Al) made it super pleasant and have stood behind thier word. Only Bike Shop I know of that registers your bike for free with local authorities in case its stolen. Great Family Bike Shop For All Your Needs

My wife and I just returned from another week on Singer Island Florida. The past couple of trips we rented bicycles from Palm Beach Bicycle Trail Shop. We found the staff there a bit unfriendly and their rates to be high. So, we searched for nearby bike shops. This time we rented bikes and car rack from Family Bicycles. What a different experience! Not only were their prices mush better, the kindness and help from the staff was exceptional. They mounted the rack on the car, gave us riding path suggestions with maps, and gave us advise for local restaurants.

Do NOT rent bikes from Family Bicycle!They put a $400 hold on my wifes card and DID NOT tell us. Then they have the nerve to REFUSE to release the funds without a bank authorization.They did this without our (my wifes) authorization and to top it off had an attitude about the entire situation telling her rudely This has never happened before, we never placed a hold.Please, find another place to buy or rent from.

First, the family atmosphere is terrific, they are great to deal with and we dealt with Albert and he was extremely helpful and accommodating.After a one week rental, my father decided to purchase his adult tricycle. He suffers from Parkinsons and Diabetic Neuropathy to name a couple of ailments, so his balance isnt great which limited his social life. This bike has helped change his look on life, hes gone from lift chair to biking through the neighborhood with a smile from ear to ear.Thank You Family Bicycle!!!

Going to this bike shop was one of the worst experiences I have ever had and some of the worst costumer service too. All Albert (Manager) did was talk talk talk... He over sold every detail and under-produced. Its should be the over way around in any type of service work. I requested to have the shop call me to confirm what parts they would be installing on the bike because they could not tell me any information when I first brought the bike to the shop. All Albert kept saying was that he would take care of me, at least a dozen times. It is MY right to know what parts are going to be put on my bike. So I never got a call so I finally called them on a Saturday to see how the progress was going and that is when I asked about the parts and Albert said the EXACT parts would be installed on the bike, even though it was a little pricey I was happy that it would be the same parts, BUT they were NOT... How can you run a business when you lie to your costumers and over price cheap parts.This is only my bad experience. My Girlfriend bought a $350 mountain bike from the shop one week before my repairs and both her tires went flat after riding it for only 3.5 miles on the road, no mountains to ride here in Florida... She went to the shop and they said that the little sticker thorns (if you live in Florida you know what Im talking about) can pop any type of tire. Ive had the same road tires on my bike for six years and that has never happened to me. The tires were cheap, very thin, and NOT mountain bike worthy. I know that they dont make the tires but they would not even consider putting on better tires for any discount. They were so rude to her and when she got home she was in TEARS... If you want a fast talker that makes promises he (Albert) cannot keep then this is the bike shop for you. Save yourself the stress and go to any other bike shop. Trust me.....

Writing a review for these guys is the least I can do. I went in with a very nice bicycle frame with a very damaged sealed bottom bracket stuck inside it. They didnt really want to take it in for service, since they didnt want to be responsible for damaging the frame. They however did recognize that I am a bike mechanic myself, and without me asking offered to let me try using their tools to remove the bottom bracket. Next thing I know, three guys in the shop are holding my frame in place while Im turning the wrench with a cheat bar on it. The owner was the one who dealt with me most and refused to accept any money for his assistance. I have no doubt that this is the kind of shop you should take your bike to regardless of your skill level - honest and skillful. We ended up not being able to get the bracket out, but the owner gave me some advice on a not-so-professional way I might be able to remove it... 24 hours later, and some elbow grease, and Ive got a frame ready to accept a new bottom bracket! Wahoo! Definitely give these guys a try, the experience was amazing compared to the time I stopped in Relentless (only a few blocks away) when my tire was running low pressure, and the guys acted like asking to use a pump for 2 minutes was the biggest inconvenience one could bring upon them.
