I started coming to New World Manga when my local game store stopped being able to run Magic events, around 2018. I’ve been playing cards and reading comic books since I was 10 years old and I’ve been to dozens of other stores in the area to play in and find new friends. This place boasts the absolute best community I’ve ever encountered in 25 years of gaming. Everyone is kind and accommodating, and very knowledgeable about their products. Friday night magic is just that, magical, as they strive to make new customers, young and old, feel welcome and safe. Though I could play in other stores and have a decent enough time, I go out of my way to drive here to sling cards and be a part of their wonderfully fun community.

This store has a sizable collection of content. Great for comic and Manga fans. As well as TCG players looking for a shop to frequent. The store boasts a staff who are genuinely interested in the hobbies that it pertains to and their attitudes are always down to earth. Anyone who enters is typically greeted and helped first thing after arriving.I have only been here twice, but the customer service is always great and the environment has been fun and wholesome. I end up staying for hours each time. Partially due to card hunting, but also because theres space to hangout as you browse.Id also like to take a moment to shout out to one of the employees, Karen. She was very polite and helpful the last time me and friends visited. Even though it was a bit to ask at the moment. She kindly searched the store for items we came miles to check out. This place sells Pokémon cards double the market price. I waited in line on Friday for the celebration boxes to find out that new world manga was selling them for $100 compared to $50 I found at GameStop and at Barnes and noble.Parents, please be aware of the scalping prices and if your child is asking for Pokémon cards for the holidays look elsewhere.

I would like to support them, but the girl in the counter is rude. They should teach her a little customer service! Also, it would be nice if they turn on your AC! Not everyone likes to sweat while inside their store.

Frustrating review about the old and new version of this store. Used to come here as a kid in the late 90s/early 2000s era during the Pokemon craze. I loved coming in and getting cards etc. After seeing some of the rare cards in the display case, I thought I should sell my rarest card from the base set (yeah, that one). I was 12 years old or so. All of my cards were perfect, I took great care to keep them in sleeves etc. Ill never forget these clowns took my card into the back room to look at it, came back after a few minutes with the same Pokemon card but not MY card. I immediately noticed the scratch, some edge wear etc. I said this wasnt my card, what did you do to it? They denied it. I didnt argue further because I was a kid but I remember being pretty frustrated.Now almost two decades later, that same card is worth thousands upon thousands if its graded and in great condition. I am so mad at myself that I let these clowns scam me back then. I recently found out they were still in business. New owner, family bought the kid the store or something. I called to ask a simple question regarding card sleeves, said I was an old customer etc. Guy (not sure if it was the owner) was super rude to me on the phone. I get the store was busy, but a 10 second response would have sufficed. Not surprised. Renewed interest in the old Pokemon cards made this resurface for me. I didnt want to write this review, but man what garbage, toxic nerd behavior to jack a card from a kid.

This is be a great store for anyone looking to get into Magic or D&D—not sure if they offered other games / cards but their setup was geared towards a lot of game playing. I was disappointed with the comic and manga selection but the offering was pretty standard if you’re looking to grab copies of more popular comics and manga (Spider-Man, Batman, One Piece, Attack on Titan, Saga, etc.). I believe they have a pull box service but I didn’t chat with the staff as it was pretty busy (Friday night Magic!).

Really nice place, good variety of manga I didnt look much at the comics but there was a good variety of comics as well. I got some one punch the people are nice and also a good place for kids 10/10 also good for adults not just kids just good for anyone really. Chefs kiss👍👩‍🦰👍

Don’t go here for Pokémon cards, way over priced. If you can’t find/get cards at Target, Walmart, or GameStop - go to StockX or eBay, still cheaper than this place - they are way over even reselling market. Sad to see a retail place scalping so heavy.

Amazon selection, kind staff, and they always have something new!

Went here with my son for the first time. We where at Barnes & Noble looking for Manga and the section was very limited, so we looked online and found this place. We kinda went here for the name. There was a lot less here then we hoped, but we did find some of the the Manga that we were looking for and I found a new one for my self to read, looked online and found that its not easy finding all the volumes of any Manga. I was told that Covid has caused delays in deliverys and thats why a lot of volumes may be missing, and hard to get. I think we would have enjoyed our visit more if there wasnt a Yu-Gi-Oh tournament of some kind. It was very busy. You should check it out and see what you think. Next time I go Ill call first to see if its too busy.

I have only been here twice but have had positive experiences both times. The staff are easygoing and its nice to have conversations with them. Ive even learned some new things from my conversations with them. Got some nice older pokemon cards and a Bleach manga. Some other reviews have mentioned that the staff is rude but I cannot validate what they say as the employees Ive interacted with have been very helpful. Their pricing as far as Pokemon goes is reasonable and they even have popular items like the Alakazam V Box, tag team tins, etc at close to retail price. There are so many damn scalpers in the Pokemon community now that its nice to see stuff being sold at fair prices.

Cool shop has a solid selection of Comics, Manga & TCG. Their TCG selection in particular is fantastic! The Staff is also very friendly!

First things first they have a huge parking lot in the back. The store was easy to find right off main road. The interior was very welcoming and lots of happy people playing games. The owner or manager was very informative and welcoming. He answered all our game related questions, no question was stupid. More than happy to show us thing even though we didnt buy it all. We ended up buying two commander decks because he was so informative and knowledgable. We will definitely go back again, very family friendly environment. I look forward to participating in my first game night there in the future.

I really dislike the way they treat customers. Over the summer I went there to buy Commander 2019 as a set. They made it sound like buying it now was a steal. They said c19 wouldnt get reprinted and that most other vendors had it for much more. Upon further inspection wizards said they would do a second run if it sold well enough and they just wanted to make a sale in the moment even though they lied. Even if they did not know, they shouldnt have made the claim. I bought it from them for 160 and saw it sink to 115. Please do not buy from them

Clean restroom, decent pricing and a healthy crowd of all ages make new world manga an excellent place to discover if youre into collectible card games, comics, board games and more. I understand it may have received new management within this year, and supposedly it has become better. The reason I give four stars is for lackluster employees, either using their phone or working slowly. Should the store appropriately address that concern Ill update the review.

This store is one of the best community stores. They have plenty of comics and cards. They are willing to go above and beyond to help. And they run great tournaments every single weekend!

So far my experience with New World Manga has been extremely positive. The staff is very welcoming and friendly and often will start discussions with you based on what your interests are. I currently have a subscription there where I pick up comics weekly and theyve never disappointed.They have a medium amount of space for a comic book shop, but they always have tables out if you want to play some Magic or something or just want to sit down and chill. I highly recommend this comic book shop for anyone looking for a regular place to hangout.Its also got a great location:-parking is ALWAYS available-near a car wash, food, and other shops-very clean area and safe-not a crowded areaI recommend this place to anyone interested in comic shops.

The staff is always helpful to my kids. If they dont have something in stock they will always offer to call when it comes in.

The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. I told them I was pretty new to comics and that i mainly only read batman but I would like to get into some other comic and they gave me some great things to read. They made me feel very comfortable and didnt make me feel like I was beneath them since I didnt really know a lot. I would suggest anyone wanting to get into comics to go here they have a great selection and you will find anything you want there.

Huge selection with the latest comic book titles. #D&D books and cards here too, but look elsewhere for minis. When I visited on Sunday afternoon there was a Magic tournament happening. Not my thing anymore, but looked fun if youre into it.

I havent been to many comic books stores, but I have been to a few across a few states! This was by far my favorite, and had the most trusting atmosphere!

Love this place for all my game needs. Always has an interesting selection of dice for me to choose from and the staff are fun to interact with every time.

They have comic books, games, Yugioh, magic and other card playing games, they sell bee cards, old cards, figures for those games and the sell all types of board games as well The have game night every Wednesday and YUGIOH, magic, Heroclix tournaments.

I head here for board games, though its heavier on comics and card games like magic and pokemon. In terms of board games there is a decent selection, workers are knowledgeable and will chat with you regarding pros and cons of games. Have yet to check out board game night.

BEWAREBig pokemon fan just looking out for fellow collectors be careful. Didnt know these packs were tampered with until I got home. Bought 5-6 packs from this store all which seem like they were tampered with to give you bad cards. I figured Id open them so to be sure (knowing I wouldnt be able to return them) and they had no good pulls, no holo rare or anything at all. I am not being a sore loser either, I am not angry at all, I just feel cheated. First review I ever wrote just to warn others. These clearly seem to be opened before hand or weighed and possibly repackaged even if they say they havent been. Just be careful is all a heads up to all the trainers out there and find a better trusted place to shop:) Goodluck everyone!

I have been coming with my son to NWM for their POKEMON weekly events and tournaments and have found the place to be friendly, knowledgeable, and a safe place for kids! If you/kids want to learn POKEMON, YUGIOH or MAGIC, this is the place to come! Great selection for beginners and long time players alike!

Good place for tournaments but quite expensive with bad price support. Several people in the staff are quite rude. Do not sell them your cards.

Worst prize support system. Incredibly underwhelming, does not reward players for their efforts. Go X-1 to only walk out with 1 pack of their choice. Taking advantage of all these socially awkward players and giving them poor prizes complete joke.

Average size selection of Magic cards and Pokemon cards, not many other games. Not many comics but they have decent selection of manga.

Not always there for the comics. But I love going for tournaments or to enjoy some time with friends. Great enviroment and friendly/supportive staff. They’ve helped me through sales, new manga or comics, and even learning new games. I’ve met many new friends going there on a weekly basis. Also, from personal experience, their prize system in the tournament is very fair and offer great rewards for both topping and getting close. One of the best parts is the growing support in the store for newer card games (Dragon ball) but the continued love for the larger games (Pokemon, Magic, Yugioh, etc.)

I personally am not a fan of comics, but my kids love Pokémon tournaments there. It gives them something to do on Sundays and the staff are very helpful.

The Staff here is helpful and kind. This place did not have the pokemon cards I was looking for. I Been to new world Manga a year ago and they Had more variety of old pokemon cards from the 2nd generation. I did find one pokemon card I was looking for at this place last week.

I get my comics there, its a pretty friendly atmosphere, lots of manga and table top games, but Im there for DC/indie stuff which they have plenty of or will order for you. And their recommendations are rarely, if ever, wrong.

The employees and the customers are all very nice and helpful.
