This place used to be my go-to shop for all my repairs. They do great work, But I will probably not return here for my auto needs. I need a shop that I can trust. Im not too happy that they tried to up sale me on things that I personally replaced the week before saying they are worn out and need to be replaced, said I had a brake light out without actually looking to see if I really did have one out.The only one I trust there anymore is Ben. I have been a loyal long time customer. And expect the honesty and trust in return. Not service writers that I dont trust and no quality control.

Mike was great. Although we had a rough start he was able to fix all the issues my mom needed fixing. He answered all our questions and gave the information we needed to decide what to do. My parents and myself have been bringing our cars here for over 10 years.

I went in for an oil change, alignment, tire rotation and inspection to ready my car for a road trip. They missed that a headlight was out and wiper fluid low.

They Were able to fix my issue in 1 day however obviously the price was a little outrageous for what needed to be fixed. But if you want the work done right,this is the place to go.

I had a check engine light that came on so I took my vehicle to the dealership but they didnt fix the issue and were not being upfront about the costs.I took it to Coastline and they said they would take a look. Turns out my truck was still under warranty so they waived the diagnostic cost and informed me of my coverage after calling up GM themselves. They even offered to help me deal with the dealership if they gave me trouble. I rate 5 stars for their honesty and integrity. A++++++++

I am a LOYAL customer of this place and I’ll tell you why... I don’t think it’s worth talking about their repair services because I believe there are plenty of local places that will do a perfectly fine job fixing your car. I am a loyal customer because of the way Coastline operates its business and the way they treat their customers. Most car service places see a young woman (like me) and immediately get those little cartoon dollar signs in their eyes. I have learned to deal with those places trying to scam me over the years but I love that I don’t have to worry about that with Coastline. They are so KIND and respectful. I have never felt nickel and dimed by them. In fact, I’ve been talked out of a service by Coastline even though it was something they could have made a chunk of money on. I’ve even had instances where I had a small service done and walked out the door without being charged a cent. I would have handed my credit card over without question, but these people get it. They get that doing their customers a favor here and there does so much more than squeezing money out of them anywhere they can. I have recommended them to a lot of people and will continue to do so.

I was at lunch when I called to see if they could do a check on my battery. The gentleman on the phone was very pleasant and said they were a little busy but to come down and they would check it anyway. They checked the battery, informed me I needed a new one and were able to install a new one right then. I only waited for about an hour and 15 minutes, which was great since it was last minute. All in all this place had excellent customer service, a reasonable price, and the cleanest waiting area Ive ever seen in an auto shop.

I have been a customer for about 30 years. If they are unable to do something they tell you and give you a referral. Last year, I had a car where the horn would go off spontaneously. I was given a referral and the part was purchased on-line and installed by another company. This year, the same vehicle needs the engine and transmission replaced. They have given an estimate of the repair costs. The car will be either donated to a charity or sold to a salvage yard.

I did an early drop off on a Saturday morning for a couple of issues including my check engine light being on. They called within a few hours to let me know the issue and they were not at all pushy when I decided to get only one of the 2 issues fixed. The service was quick, the employees were extremely nice, and the price was very fair. I would definitely go back.

I have always had reasonable, fair and prompt service from Coastline. They are always honest and up front with analysis of my auto needs, I dont always like the prices but that is to be expected in todays market. Now I do shop around before servicing and usually wind up at coastline. They have a comfortable waiting area with coffee, etc. Now one caveat, they are usually very busy on most all days, so be prepared to wait or have a ride home until your repairs are finished. Generally they will give you a ride home if you are located in the area.

My Integrat had a alignment drift to the right when I took it in for a lub/filter and tire rotation. Afterwards, I had an alignment drift to the left. I asked for advise and was advised to cross-rotate my tires before paying for an alignment, which Coast Auto offered to do at no extra cost. Sure enough, my alignment was significantly improved. The staff took good care of me.

I have been going to Coastline for over 25 years. Ben and the guys there have always been GREAT! Excellent service at a fair price, my truck is always ready on time or before! They tell you what you need but never try to sell you more than you need. If something can wait till a future date they will always suggest that. I live in South Orange County now, but I still bring my truck for service at Coastline Auto. That is how highly I think of them!

Ive been to them about 6 times over the years and they are a HARD SELL shop. Youve been warned. Theyre close to my work, so I go back, but this last time was over the top and I bought into it, against my better judgement. I went in for a Transmission flush which they charge $150, and asked them to check the other fluids, seemed fair, right!My final bill was over $1600 when I picked up the car. due to the many things the sales talked me into doing via a you need this kind of push conversation. I left with a sick feeling and lessons learned.Ive owned and operated a computer repair business in Los Alamitos for 25 years and feel it is unethical to use the trust relationship to push clients into replacing unnecessary items for profit before their usefulness has worn out.Coastline Auto Care is one of those businesses that justifies their Replace Everything sales pitch with a were just doing our job slogan.It matters not to them if there is still good value in the items being replaced.Sandy

I came to Coastline tonight because the past two times I came before the service was outstanding but tonight topped both the past two times. I left work tonight and seen one of my tires had steel thread showing and being a momma of 3 small kiddos I knew it needed to be addressed. With my fingers crossed I drove to Coastline and it was open. I got there around 5:30 (They close at 6). Excited that they were I explained what was going on. Aftering checking out the tire I not only had one tire that was bad I had another that was worse. Freaked out the sweet men said we will get you on the ride safe. I couldnt afford one tire let alone two. They didnt have my tires in a used tired but they did find two that were close in size. I was talking with them and explaining that on my to do list this week was to get new tires just because they started looking blad. So they gave me two new used tires for the price of one. With tears in my eyes I couldnt stop thanking them. The one gentleman said no worries just be safe with tthose babies.Not only were they amazing and truthfully cared but it only took them 15 minutes to have me on my way. But there oil changes r the cheapest ive come accross and ask for superworks and they check all fluids and rotate tires for less that 30 bucks, its like cheers without the alcohol they all know ur name!!!! Ive been using Coastline for years for both my 2002 Camaro Z28 and 2008 Honda CRV. Both vehicles I bought new. I took my Z28 in for much needed maintenance. The vehicle now rides better and quieter now then when I took it from the showroom. Coastlines staff not only explained every detail of the repairs but showed me all the old worn parts removed. Additionally, the technician noticed two leaking seals in a brand new rack & pinion that Chevy installed last year (something that Id never see), and recommended that I take it back and Chevy them do it right at their expense, because that just shouldnt happen with any new rack & pinion.Its hard to find a local, honest auto repair shop with reasonable prices and experienced technicians. Coastline is excellent.

Good service, nice facilities and waiting room, but labor charge of $45 to install two air filters is rather excessive!

The service at Coastline is first rate. We needed our Honda CRV smogged and yet the engine light was coming on intermittently, We didnt want that to cause a smog test failure. Coastlines friendly service techs told us up front if they found any stored codes, they would take care of it, but if not, they would not charge just for checking. We were going out of town that weekend so they stored the car until Monday as well. No charge, and they did note that the aftermarket gas cap was likely to be causing the engine light. They recommended we buy an OEM gas cap from a dealer. Weve bought tires there for many years, but having them check on a concern and not charge us anything is a fine example of how Coastline finds retaining customers more important than charging a bill for a minor check-up.
