Half Price Books is the place to go when looking for new (or old) reading material. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the selection is huge, and if its not there, they can search the other stores (free shipping to the store from another in-state store, otherwise theres a small shipping fee per book). Ive bought so many things ranging from comics and novels to cookbooks and calendars. Highly recommend it.

I put on 30 pounds of Covid weight (yeesh!) so I checked with Half Priced Books and not only was a copy of The Fast Metabolism Diet book in their network, it could be transferred to the closest store at no additional cost.When it came in I was eager to start losing weight but then I was diagnosed with Covid. So I called and they said not to worry about the book and held it for me until I was out of quarantine Yay!

Love coming here. Its like a library. Everyones quiet, there are a few chairs that you can take a minute, sit and look at some books. They always have something new. Great place to just relax and find some quality reading material. One of the few places I feel comfortable bringing my baby in the middles of all this

Half Price Books is a popular destination to make a donation or let go of books and games or music for a little $ toward new items for your family.This week we are bringing a few level 6 piano and popular piano books that more likely will be displayed in a useful way for someone else who might like to use them!Sometimes I think a little value $ placed on items helps my family to care about them and maybe books last a bit longer than items at goodwill?Good for the earth then. Makes us feel we are recycling more efficiently!

We always have a good experience selling at this Half Price, theyve never turned down an item and often pleasantly surprise us. The only downside is that, being a Lynnwood location, its well-shopped so we often have to order particular books online or get them shipped to store. Staff is super friendly and the place has a nice and chill atmosphere.

I was in a hurry and stopped in to the Lynnwood location which happened to be very busy but the cashiers handled everyone swiftly and the rush was over and out the door in 5 minutes. I asked for help and the employee at the register took care of me right away. He was very knowledgeable with both the subject matter I was looking for and the stores inventory which is very surprising since I dont think their wages are very competitive there. The only thing I would have like to see was a better supply of pens and notebooks. I will return for sure and hope to have the same customer service..

Im at a loss to figure out what is half-price about this place. Been in there 6+ times. Yet to buy a book.Seriously. Its a used bookstore that is overpriced. Goodwill and St. Vs are a much better buy. But they have a place in a mall so gotta pay the rent I suppose. Continue to be unimpressed w their pricing.Books in stock is above average.

Always a great selection and great prices, but turning in books really isnt worth it sometimes. I turned in 9 books including 4 textbooks and in return I got not even $5.

This is a great book store. WIth an excellent selection of books on a variety of topics, all sold for much less than normal retail stores. Half Price Books is also a great place to pick up software, readers, calendars, vinyl, gifts, art project kits, collectible books, stationary and journals, and more. Staff is very knowledgeable and  helpful. They didnt have the book I was looking for, they checked nearby Half Price Books, and called to make sure the book was in stock.

My daughter and grandson had a great time finding books.They found so many I had to add a spending limit with the promise we would be back.

Customer were kinda snappy because they were about to close and couldnt do a process for a blu ray trade cause it would take awhile and Id have to come back tomorrow for an offer then went to silver platters and had it done in 20 minutes like really?

Overheard the book buyers (on 7-19) talking about raising prices on things because “people will pay”. Look I get you’re a for profit company but maybe keep that gouging talk behind closed doors where your customers won’t hear it. Passed on about $60 in books I wanted because I found the commentary distasteful.

So, Im probably biased, but its hard to give any bookstore a bad rating. The store is clean and stock full of of great stuff. Not only used books, but music and movies as well.

I absolutely love this bookstore. Ive been able to go in and find books off the shelf for really good prices. They have a good selection, and the staff is always friendly. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stop in if you want enjoy books.

Love not paying full price for things I want! And if they dont have what you are looking for in their store, they will have it transferred, usually in just a day, depending on how far away the store that has it is! Also friendly, knowledgeable staff

Used to go to their store on 50th. In Seattle. They have a great slection of books at a great price. You can also call them to check on something your looking for and if they have it will either hold it for you or you can have it mailed to you at a price. Love this store.

Great place to buy used books! They also have a pretty good selection of new releases with a bit of a discount. Sometimes it can be a bit hard to find certain books in certain genres with how they have things laid out. They also have used movies at reasonable prices. You can find some good deals on board games but sometimes they are a little steep on their prices. They also dont give you a lot for your used board games, there are better places to give your used board games.

Half Price Books is a gift from the heavens. I can always find all sorts of good old vintage stuff that I like.

Found several books I had been looking for!

My wife came in to get some of her romance novels. The selection was great but was even better when the lady behind the counter showed her the box she had. The staff was happy to be back and it showed.

Books on a number of subjects from historical, fiction, childrens, metaphysical; just to name a few... Also able to sell books at this location. Includes some DVDs and music records I believe. Intuitive and fun to navigate.

Brighter lit and less claustrophobic-feeling (higher ceilings) than my neighborhood Tukwila Half-Price but I found the sci-fi/fantasy section a little lacking. Employees were friendly and helpful, Ill definitely be back whenever I find myself in the area.

Got to wonder why they dont donate instead of toss your used books and movies to at least the jail or Africa. Sad to see so many usable items go in the landfill!!!!!!

Dropped off a whole lot of books that I dont need and actually got a decent amount of money for them. Quickly used that money to buy some Blu Rays and DVDs of movies that I like in their collection.

I love Half Price Books, they always have the most wonderful people working at all their store locations! They have a huge selection of used books so Im bound to walk out with plenty to read any given time. My only gripe is that their trade-in values are not very good most of the time, so I tend to take my books to other smaller used bookstores to get more money back.

Unbeatable prices and I love the used board games. They are missing some popular book titles on the shelves, but have a good selection overall.IF YOU HAVE BOOKS TO SELL: I sold some used books on a Saturday and had to wait around 45 minutes, and they dont want you to leave the store while you wait.

There are many disrespectful people in this shop. They are discriminatory. They may have learned this from the store manager.

Great store

Getting in and out of the parking lot is a bit absurd as its anchored to a Safeway. Thats the only negative of HPB that I can think of. Some books are obviously dated however still relevant. The staff is helpful and respect your space. Lastly, chairs are placed about for you to thumb through your selections. Give yourself some time here as they have quite the selection. I absolutely recommend this bookstore.

Went to 3 of the stores, found what I want in 2 of them and I got help finding something in other stores. Went home with 3 good books. Very nice and will always go back.

This store is incredible! I have been coming here for as long as I can remember! Phenomenal clearance section, passionate staff that can help you find absolutely anything they may carry at any of their stores, great selection of comics and records and even VHS! I take everyone visiting the area here.

The man working the register was very nice. I went there to pick up the His Dark Materials series (only $10) and noticed there was a childrens clearance section. It was a pretty decent size and all of the books were either two or three dollars. So me and my two-year-old looked at some books for a little while.

They have so many options and amazing prices. Great vibe, I now go in for childrens books and they have a great selection. Easy to find everything you need,and if you need help theyre very quick to offer their advice or direction.
