Started at Honda of Mentor getting an oil change and they informed me that my front/rear brakes needed replaced. I didnt think this was the case, so I took the car to Wayne at Consumer Tire. End up finding out my rear brakes did need replaced but my front brakes were in great shape. Wayne and everyone at Consumer Tire saved me a ton of money. It is hard to find honest mechanics and it will be the only place I bring my car for repairs in the future.

Cant get tires I want even though another tire company can.

We had a flat tire. They squeezed us in right away on a saturday even though they were booked. They had the tire in stock that we wanted. Every where else had to order it. Jessica at the desk was very polite and helpful. The waiting area was clean and comfortable.

Great place for tire work

I had my vehicle at Champion in Mayfield where I was given the run around. I was referred to a mechanic named Bill at Consumer Tire. Having incurred 2 tow cost and paid for a diagnostic fee, I decided I needed to tow it one more time to Bill for a thorough and Honest evaluation. Bill evaluated my vehicle and gave me his Honest Mechanical Expert opinion. Although the outcome was not what I wanted to hear I feel Bill had been very Honest with his findings. Thank you Bill it’s not often that a woman can find a mechanic that is not trying to take advantage of her pockets. If you need a Great Mechanic Bill is your man!! Get over to Consumer Tire Mentor!!

I had a slow leak in my tire for months. I decoded to stop and see what the problem was? I stopped at the store and they took me immediately and found a sliver if metal in my tire. They fixed my tire and I was out of the store in a hour. All this with out an appointment. Great Job.

I was tired of going to the dealership for maintenance only for them to search for unnecessary repairs. I was recommended Consumer Tire and I first went there to have them reseal a tire that was losing air every other day. They did this quickly, cheaply, and effectively. I then brought my car there for an oil change, which was reasonably priced and completed within 40 minutes. Better than my 3-4 hour wait at the dealership! I thought I had finally found an honest and reliable place to have my car serviced! However, the last time I went for an oil change I received a phone call from Wayne listing a slew of problems: I needed a tie rod replaced or my wheel was going to fall off, my windshield wipers needed replaced, I needed new rear brakes, and lastly that brake fluid was pouring out of my right rear caliper. Pouring! They said they could replace the tie rod that day and after effectively being scared that my tire would fall off, I consented to have that replaced. However, due to it being the end of the workday they were not able to work on my brakes/caliper. I thought it was odd I had brake problems to that magnitude when my brake light never came on nor did I have any issues while braking. I left the shop scared to drive my car after being repeatedly told by Wayne and Al my car was unsafe due to the brakes. They even made me sign a statement saying my brakes were not safe due to fluid leaking. They didnt have an appointment time available for a few days so I took my car home and over the next week I continuously monitored my brake fluid level thinking for some reason the fluid sensor might not get triggered. My fluid level remained at full and I repeatedly pumped my brakes while parked and not a single drop of fluid leaked out after it was reportedly pouring. My brother is a mechanic so I had him work on my back brakes and check all of the calipers for leaks. Not a single drop of brake fluid was leaking from anywhere. Consumer Tire is just another auto shop trying to take advantage of people. I regret not getting a second opinion on the tie rod and being out $250. I am glad I didnt waste the $500-600 that was quoted to me for my brakes!

Had drivers side lower control arm replaced along with tie rod and struts. Came here for an alignment. Went to my other shop to get the tires rotated. They told me the lower bolt on the control arm was loose. I dont see how they could have aligned it with the bolt loose. The only remarks is they could not align the rear because it needed lower control arms. Not sure if Consumer Tire left it loose or did not notice it. Just a huge confusing situation. Prices are ok here and the staff is good. Im sure it was probably just a oversight.

Everytime you walk in they cant help you....... Were short-handed and we are so busy soooo busy. He says he needs an appointment. If thats the case then your website should say by appointment only and that you turn walk ins to buy tires away (which I believe is your base business). I was coming in to buy a set of tires and they cant do it. Ive been in there four times over the past 6 years or so. First two times I believe I worked with the owner and they took care of me no questions last two times some other guy manning the counter (In the back and I wait for him to come out) and hes not very helpful.....no greeting no nothing and then I ask if I can buy some tires.......hes too busy......second time 6 months apart.
