Cammack Station is epic! First visit since the pandemic started. The restaurant is newly renovated. So much more room, faster service and it is very clean and well decorated. We ordered their famous tenderloin on Texas Toast. Even more delicious than we rememberedThey had a car show in their now larger parking lot so outside was very busy. We dined in because there was so much room. I highly recommend everyone eat at Cammack Station.
Great old fashion restaurant. Lots of old car memorabilia, newly remodeled and larger than before. Great tenderloins and burgers. Nice ice cream and treat options as well. Go at an off time or expect a little longer than usual to get you food, however, it is worth the wait. Portions are generous and prices are about what you would expect. You will have a good time here.
A fun destination restaurant with lots of music videos playing on flat screen tv. Fun foods from the past, great tasting breaded tenderloin, chocolate Coke, root beer floats, banana splits, fried bologna sandwich. Food is good.
Really good tenderloins, Onion rings and french fries! The decor in this place is really awesome! Reminds me of when I would go visit my grandparents way out in the country back in the 70s. Back then I was still buying Coca-Cola from the old-fashioned cooler type dispensers for .20¢They have a few examples of the old type of fuel pumps. They play music from the 50s and 60s.They have really great ice cream!I wish they would carry some local sodas from one of the companies locally who make old-fashioned sugar cane sodas instead of the dispensed mass produce stuff but at this point Ill take what theyve got because theyre doing a really good job here. They were doing a car show so I couldnt get the tater tots that I keep hearing about so I guess Im going to have to come back for that one.Be aware they dont have beer wine or alcohol... At least not yet and I dont know if there are plans to have any.
Maybe just get the ice cream. We placed an order for some burgers fries and grilled chicken sandwiches. Unfortunately I had ordered grilled chicken and got fried chicken tenders instead with random bits of lettuce on one. Fries were cold even though they just brought out the order. Staff was friendly and everything seemed cleaned so I gave the 3 stars for those things. Food went to the dogs and we had a cookout.
Great place! Lots of beautiful memorabilia items. Great food, great service and staff!! Go here definitely a hidden gem!!
I traveled here from FW with my car club and was our first time. We enjoyed the ambiance but made the mistake of picking a day of a car show. They run a limited menu on those days. The food was really good but wanted to try other menu items. Will definitely come back.
Great food and a really fun atmosphere. I cant believe how well they kept the feel of the place since they remodeled and tripled theyre dining area. Well done!
The food was good but the reason Im giving it two stars is because it took 43 minutes from the time we ordered to when we got our ice cream. There were four young people working in the ice cream section and three of them were moving slow and one of the young ladies just leaves and was gone for more than ten minutes. Hopefully these employees will get better.
Best little diner Ive ever been to. Food? Exquisite. Service? Outstanding. Atmosphere? Fun. Price? Not too shabby. Some of the customers came across as judgmental. But the place itself made up for it.
The restaurant looks fantastic after the renovation. The service was outstanding and the food tasted great. We had a large group and they were quick taking orders, as well as, serving the food. They also have great ice cream and strawberry shortcake.
After anxiously awaiting their reopening after remodeling and building on we finally got to go yesterday. Six of us, all senior citizens. We had to wait in line to order for about 20 min., which was okay since there was only 1 person taking orders. The food came pretty quickly but it was so noisy inside, we couldnt hear our names called. We couldnt even talk across the table because of how loud it was in there from all the people talking. The food was very good when we finally ate. Just a note, none of us are hard of hearing, as of yet anyway. Could have been a nice lunch with the girls if we could have talked to each other. They really do need to do something about the acoustics in there or these 6 ladies will have to dine elsewhere.
This place is great. A lot more seating after the renovation. The decor is amazing and has that old time feel to it. The prices are reasonable for the type of food. Grab a hard scoped ice cream afterwards.
My experience was fine. Had a nice thick breaded tenderloin. My husband on the other hand received his food not the way he ordered it. The staff was quick to remedy the situation and offered us free ice cream on the management. Will gladly return.
Awesome place with good food. Staff is very friendly. Plenty of seating inside and out.
Cant beat the atmosphere.. friendly and helpful staff good food.. very clean and well kept. I stop here again.expect to pay $13 to $15 per person...
I could spend the whole day there just looking at the decor! Friendly staff too, going back soon.
First time there since they reopened after adding on. Was pleased to see that the atmosphere is still the same, with lots of signs and decorations. The root beer float was on point, chicken tenders were perfectly breaded and crispy, with a generous serving of ranch dressing.
Was there for a car show in their lot. Food was great.
I love this spot, its a hidden gem in Muncie / Yorktown.
Shane made a special effort for my son tonight. He was super happy and loves this place. The remodel is awesome. Very happy it’s back open!
Great place very family friendly and excellent food. Definitely worth the drive from Dayton area.
Excellent food, great service, and affordable for the excellent quality. Clean and friendly atmosphere. They hold a lot of car shows during the year.
Absolutely wonderful. The food, the decor, the vibe.Priceless and a landmark
We loved the gas pumps, the signs, the pump globes and videos of rock and roll bands. The food was good too. We had a good time with friends.
What a fantastic place !! Beautiful and clean and such a great atmosphere!! Food is excellent !!Very Unique and interesting decor ! Yorktown and central Indiana is blessed to have a restaurant like this !
They messed up both of my sandwiches and quickly and cheerfully fixed them and gave us desert for the trouble. I have been there several times and this was the first mistake with us. We will definitely go back. Great food and people.
Good but not very detailed when ordering g for the kids food. Kids didnt eat the fried hot dog, wish they would have said something about that.
My husband and I ordered coney dogs and onion rings for lunch. It was very good. We then had a brownie icecream for dessert. It was excellent.
Real nice place to go with the family. We go back again.
Cammack Station ⛽️ is located in Muncie 💫 Indiana in a small suburb known as Cammack in the Yorktown area. If you’re looking for a place to eat with a old school vibe 😋 this is your place. The food is 🥘 amazing; the menu labels which are the favorites. They also serve hand 🍦 dipped ice cream and you can enjoy 🍨 many different ways. The 👧🏻 Cammack Station is kid 👦🏻 friendly. Hope to see you at the Cammack Station!
Tasty food and speedy service. Grilled cheese was not your average grilled cheese and I recommend giving it a try as it was very melty and creamy.
Its really neat inside, lots of seating, tenderloin was excellent, little pricey, especially the ice cream.
Good food and services, they hand there hands full today at the car show, and I found the place for the best ice cream, A++
Slow service. They need to improve ordering experience. Food was good, but higher priced than similar restaurants. Noisy.
Wow, our first time in since to remodel. This place doubled in size. Very nice!
Great food, great service, very clean and friendly staff.
I brought my date to this place over the weekend and we both enjoyed it and the food is great
We really enjoyed our visit. Old gas station turned into a restaurant. Very clean!Variety of sandwiches, sides, and ice cream.Eat inside or on picnic tables outside. Your choice .We enjoyed our meals!Several old antique farm tractors for the kids to check out. An old police car. Lots of old fuel pumps. (The gravity feed kind)Come as you are. No fancy dress code. I would recommend it to friends!
What a great place off the beaten path! Historic Cammack in Yorktown Indiana just outside Muncie. When we visited the wait was over 1 hour for food, they were short staffed. We ordered strawberry shortcake, it was loaded with tons of strawberries. The cake was warmed making this taste so great. Better than Ivanhoe’s in Upland Indiana!Added bonus is the spoons they use are color changing!I will visit later to try the food, but my parents said they love the taco salad and the tenderloins.Too notch place.
Stopped by with the dogs for ice cream! It was great.
I love this place. Great food and good price.
Excellent service and good food. Better than fast food joints.
This place has a super cool atmosphere! The food that my date and I had ordered was good...especially the April 2019 burger of the month. Also, they have a nice selection of ice cream flavors! My vanilla milkshake was amazing, but I noticed flavors such as key lime pie & cheesecake as well.Super nostalgic decor. Vintage signs cover everything, along with old restored gas pumps, a beautiful jukebox (doesnt play), and even steering wheels on the ceiling.Fell in love with this place.
After the expansion this place is even better!
They tried to pass off vanilla ice cream as black raspberry cheese cake ice cream thinking we wouldnt notice.
Great food and atmosphere, however a little pricey.
The nostalgic atmosphere and location are just part of what makes Cammacks a great place to visit and eat. The food is made to order and is very good. Typically themed restaurants skimp on quality, not here though. The ice cream and desserts are also really good and worth going there alone. The only thing Id ding them on would be the ordering process. It would also be good if the register where the desserts are was open. Or they should put a register closed sign so people dont wait at it only to be told they have to order from the food ordering line. We love going there and its a great short road trip destination.
Best breaded tenderloin eaten in months!
Fun atmosphere and delicious food. But it took an hour to get our food.
Fun place. Food is great.
Taking some senior photos, we met the owner who shared some of his restoration of his business with us. Hes doing a beautiful job and we cant wait for him to finish so we can stop by!
Was riding by with my girl friend at 854.. ran in for a quick cup of ice cream. One guy sweeping the floors, 3 guys standing around laughing..im guessing waiting for their friends.. a girl and a guy behind the counter.. the guy had utter disgust on his face as he turned around, the girl said to pay and then she would get the ice cream. One scoop, and out the door by 857. Not one hi...how are you.. not can we help you.. not a we close in 5 minutes what can we get you.. nothing..no personality.. ive heard great things about this place but never had been.. just happened to be in the area with a friend of mine.. i didnt even order ice cream because I felt so bad..What work could possibly go into helping a customer.. not sure that I have the desire to try it again. Its a turn off to feel like a burden.
Cool car show busy place to be today 3pm
Good food, great atmosphere, and a fair price.
Good food ! Glad they are open again
Excellent ice cream. Yum!
Awesome place and awesome food..
Wonderful experience! Everything about this place is amazing!!!
Great atmosphere, food and ice cream
Great burgers and ice cream
Food is delicious and service is wonderful!!
I had an amazing spicy tenderloin
Beat ice cream around. Selection was a little short at this time.
Wonderful decor, similar to a Quaker Steak and Lube. No steak here, though. Its a sandwich counter serving baskets with fries or tater tots. The breaded tenderloin with mustard, pickle and onion is very good. You cant go wrong on the sandwich menu, so long as you know better than to order a Philly cheesesteak outside of Philly. Definitely do not order the Chicago dog. While the hotdog underneath was tasty, the toppings were all wrong. They do have unisex bathrooms here and a baby changing station.
Fast service excellent food
To noisy to be enjoyed.
This place was awesome
Very good
As someone who works in the food service industry, I can tell you how pleased I am that the upkeep on this place is immaculate. It is so clean. Wonderful woodwork upkeep. Delicious food. Amazing atmosphere. I will be coming here for as long as I live now when I want a good tenderloin.
Very interesting place not open yet but will be in the spring they have really good food and a lot of antiques to look at
We ordered tenderloins and fries that were excellent! The restaurant was amazingly decorated. The music great!!! The only reason I am giving four stars was the workers. No-one smiled, no-one said thank you, every single person working there was miserable! It really made a difference. This place could be top notch, if not for the employees.
I enjoy Cammack, but every time I go they are out of something. So I dont get my hopes up to get my favorites. It has a family friendly environment. My 5 year old loves to play with all of the decorations. If you go during a busy time the station can feel cramped.
It brings back so many good memories
