Waited a week for an appointment with them for general maintenence. When I got there they wanted $400 just for a standard oil change! Thats 3 times the normal price on my pickup.$50 for a tire rotation and $150 for an air conditioning diagnostic. After seeing a $600+ price tag before they even take my keys I went down the street and had it all done for less than half that price and same day appointment.Massive price gouge. Do not recommend this company.
Niceville Auto Service is friendly, very helpful and highly knowledgeable and thorough. They kept me informed as to the progress of the work, and even transported me home and picked me up when the work was done. Im always very satisfied with their work.
Great service and professional management. Will be back!
Very helpful very knowledgeable willing to talk to you about any issues.
To begin, Niceville Auto Service consistently performs genuinely FANTASTIC maintenance. I own a 2002 Nissan XTERRA and the work they have done was not only excellent in quality, but also timely and done with wonderful customer service. The owners and technicians worked hard to get to know my car as well as they could in order to perform optimal and necessary service. They worked with me personally to understand what service I needed and kept me involved with consistent check-ins and service updates! I support Niceville Auto Services 100% and they will continue to receive my business. Support your local businesses, and support NAS!!
The owners are amaaaaaaaaaaazing here!!! I had in a real emergency today my valve stem came loose on my tire and it was going completely flat. I managed to hobble into their parking lot and interrupted their lunch. I was so grateful that one of the two owners came out and personally took my tire off and had my valve stem fixed so quickly!!! This is the second time now that I have experienced their amazing skill set and wonderful customer service!! The first time they found a fuse on my Honda van that nobody else could figure out...the owner ask for my owners manual that day and within 5 minutes had found and fixed the problem 🙏😄. I am writing this review to express my gratefulness for this locally owned business. Please consider taking your vehicle there....you will be glad you did!!
Great service. When getting an oil change, they do a detailed review of the car and send an email with photos of identified problems and provide estimates for repair. I like their thoroughness.
One of the worst shops Ive ever had to deal with. They are more concerned about trying to get other work done the car then the actual problem i had. They could drop the $150 diagnostic fee down if they would stop trying to sell you on other work and wasting the techs time and customers money. Also the people in the office are not great with customers
Went in for an oil change. They do do a thorough car inspection with pictures, which is nice. However an oil change at most locations for a Honda runs about $30-50. Before tax it was $70... Definitely felt like price gouging.
Have always done incredible service for us quickly, honestly, and worked with us to get an affordable price wherever possible. Ever since we discovered them a couple years ago we dont take our vehicles anywhere else!
Honest folks that know what they are doing. Could not be happier with my mechanic!
Very good repair service and courteous and efficient. Stand behind every job and gives total satisfaction. Go here for all your auto repairs you will always be happy with the result.
David and Diana run a great shop. The 2 of them are personable, honest. The work is done well. The car is clean after the work. They take appointments and are on time. I take my car there for anything that needs doing.
Very pleased with how David and his team handled my auto repair needs. Professional, friendly, knowledgable and dont make you feel like youre getting taken advantage of like most mechanics. I would recommend them to anyone who needs anything from an oil change to a new motor.
I will definitely use Niceville Auto Service again. I took my 2003 Accord to them because the driver door would not open, so I had to get in the car “Dukes of Hazard style” for a day. The cost to get the car in the door to evaluate the problem was reasonable and was applied toward the repair. They found the problem and the parts and called and quoted me a price estimate and I approved the repair. When I picked up my car the actual bill was about $60 LESS than what was quoted on the phone, so I was VERY HAPPY about that. I feel like any other car repair shop would have just kept that extra $60 bucks since I approved that cost anyway. I really appreciated the honest accounting for the labor hours/cost to complete the repair…under budget. I am new to the area and plan on being here for a long time, so finding an honest car repair shop right away is awesome. Niceville Auto Service just earned themselves future customer. Thank you very much!
My car was experiencing an issue with the throttle where it wouldnt accelerate after some time of idling in the middle of traffic, (after some time stuck sitting there during the slow trudge of rush hour or tourist season.) As soon as the cars moved forward, I would find my car not accelerating at all so I had to turn the car off and then on again. I know very little about vehicles. I took my car into Niceville Auto Service and was recommended a ~$400 transmission flush. Seeing that it was obviously pricey, I called elsewhere and got a $150 quote flat. After I explained my situation to the second business, the representative said he had never heard in all of his professional career that a transmission flush would solve the issue with what I was describing. In the end, the second business solved the issue and I can know my safety was looked out after and that they care for not just customers, but the people who come in. What astounds me with Niceville Auto Service is that they wouldve had me drive a defective car off of their lot, fixing something entirely different but in the end wouldve just had me coming back. I dont trust them with solving car issues. They have careless disregard for peoples safety.Edit:Home for the weekend I received mail from Niceville Auto Service. In it was a letter of apology. For their response to my concern, Niceville Auto Service takes feedback seriously and I can only be fair to say they look after their customers.
These guys do a terrific job. They take their time to explain what’s needed to the novice. Competitively priced and deliver as promised. I’ve used others but have finally found my go too repair shop. Try it you won’t be disappointed.
Second time Ive come to this store for auto repairs that seemed beyond what the other local shops could handle. And the work was done quickly and correctly both times. I am pleased with the repairs and the price wasnt too much.
Thank for working us in to your busy schedule! You always take such good care of Moms car, and do a good job explaining the things that need to be repaired and also the recommended repairs. Kudos!
Took my sons F150 in for an issue with the truck shaking. Initial estimate (for $2500) included a shopping list of items having nothing to do with the repair. They do state that the estimate includes some recommended repairs but it did not identify which repair addressed the issue for us coming to their shop. They were helpful and quick on emails, and, when asked, said the issue was caused by the spark plugs and coils (which would cost a bit more than $1100 to replace). Since all sparks and coils had been replaced within the past two years, I asked them if all 8 had failed. They said that only one was bad, and that the others were good. I had to pull this from them. They were ready to charge me to replace sparks and coil packs that they knew were good! They agreed with my suggestion to replace the one spark plug and coil, and then road test to ensure the shaking (from a mis-fire) was eliminated. They sent me a new estimate (via email) soon after I left their shop on Friday afternoon but the file would not open so I was not able to see the revised estimate to replace 1 spark plug and coil (remember, the price for all 8 was around $1100). They called me Friday evening, stated the repair was made and the car was running smooth again. The price for the replacement of one coil and spark plug? Over $500! They told me they had almost 3 hours of diagnosis in this repair and that they dont have computers to read error codes (which is not only a lie, but would almost instantly tell the technician that there was an electronic firing fault in the cylinders).Up to this repair, I had been a regular customer here. They were totally unconcerned when I told them they had lost my business.
BEST auto service in the area! Genuine. Quality workmanship and a fair price.
Loved the quick, high quality and friendly service i received for my visit. Will definitely return.
We have used Niceville Auto since we first moved here in 2002. They have never steered us wrong. They have always done exceptional work. Everyone there is always nice and helpful. All you have to call and they will set you up and get you going. Best auto shop in the area!
The professionals at Niceville Auto Service stand behind their work and go the extra mile to ensure total customer satisfaction. I trust them to recommend and do what is needed to ensure each of my vehicles are safe and reliable. I had done a lot of my own routine vehicle maintenance for years before I moved to Niceville, but their reasonable rates, comprehensive expertise, quality service, and excellent warranty convinced me it is better to leave it to the pros at Niceville Auto. I am so glad a neighbor recommended them to me!
So pleased with my first-time experience at NAS. They were so professional and explained all of my options. They were also very kind, giving me a ride to the house when the repair was going to take a long time. Will definitely go back when needed. Thanks especially to John, who went out of his way to be helpful.
I wish there was a number higher than five to rate this amazing business and their employees. I have taken my car to them twice and the second time I had what is referred to as a catastrophic diagnosis. Not being in the position to replace my car, I asked them to do whatever they could to get my car operational. I have no personal relationship with the owners or any of the employees. They took my situation to heart and decided to do whatever they could to repair my car. The owner decided to do most of the diagnostic work himself and even gave up some of his weekend(when they are closed) to get my car running faster. The time, generosity, professionalism and exceptional knowledge of car repair is unmatched in any area that I have ever lived in. To say thank you just isnt even enough. This entire experience has restored my faith in mankind and our ability to make a difference in each others lives whether we know each other or not. I will continue to recommend Niceville Auto Service to everyone I know.
This is the greatest auto garage Ive experienced in the state of Florida. People here are extremely nice, prices are fair, service on any auto is excellent. They know what their talking about when it comes to service. Extremely nice place.
Terrible experience. I drove my car in to troubleshoot a potential starter issue and told the staff that I would like a diagnosis on it because Im curious if it would need to be replaced before selling it. After receiving the diagnosis I decided to not get the car fixed by them due to an expensive starter price, but to drive it home to fix myself (now knowing the real issue with the car) or sell it as is. However, the car could not start now. Realizing it was a starter issue, it was understandable, but a little frustrating since I drove it to the shop. Curious about the issue, I had a couple of questions regarding the part being replaced and was taken back to the shop were the mechanic immediately began arguing with me. He was beginning to get so intense that the receptionist at the front (his wife) who walked me back was trying to calm him down. Unsure why he was so irate I tried to tell him I was just trying to have a conversation and figure out why it wont start. With the car stuck in their shop (he said I could fix it in their parking lot myself if I didnt want it fixed by them) I unfortunately had my hands tied and not only had a terrible customer service experience, but also overpaid for the part that needed to be replaced. Please think twice before getting your car fixed at Niceville Auto Service.
Great experience! Weve taken our car there twice. The first time it had to be towed & needed a new starter. This time it was making a noise that concerned us. This time they diagnosed a noise & explained that unless we were really bothered by the noise, no repair was required. It refreshing to work with an Auto Service team that gives you the full story even when it means you dont have expensive work done. They have one more very loyal customer.
I just moved to the area recently. My first visit a few weeks ago was just for oil changes and a general checkup on two vehicles as we had just driven across the country. They seemed very busy but got the oil changes done and also recommended some services that I thought wed already done. I was told to bring in the paperwork to show the previous work so they could document it. But as I was leaving, someone else told me they could just run my VIN to get the info, and I was right, all the recommended work had already been done. So I was a little irritated but wrote it off to them being so busy and gave a good review. Then I had my 2nd and final visit last week. My wife and I both had flat tires on our cars within days of each other. We suspect the construction going on across the street from our house. I made an apt. for 1pm the next day but dropped off the drivable vehicle at 8am with the tire from the other car in the trunk. I explained I wanted to know what had caused the flat so we could complain to the construction company if it was a nail and that I wanted all tires checked to make sure they were all still good. Later that day I was called and told they had patched the one tire but the other was irreparable. So I asked for my options - whoever I was speaking to sounded busy and inconvenienced but I was told they don’t carry tires but could order some. I asked for prices and he did not have any on hand. So I did some research and called back and this time was quoted $150.00, no other options, which is on the high-end. I also asked what had caused the flats but was told they did not know as they had not talked to the mechanic that worked on my car. So I said I would take the car elsewhere for tires and asked them to put on the donut so I could drive it. I was told they would not be able to get to the vehicle until after 1pm the next day. As I had already changed one flat in the rain I decided to wait. The next day I called around 4:45pm to ask about my vehicle and was told they still hadnt put the donut on the car and it would have to wait another day. This is a five-minute job they didnt have time for and they hadnt even called about it! So I walked there, ready to change the tire myself, only to see they had put the flat back on (or never taken it off) but it still had enough air to be drivable. So Id been waiting all that time for nothing at all. I asked for my key and my bill and, to their credit, they did not charge me since I was not happy with the service. I drove straight to Pep Boys who got my car in that very minute, showed me exactly why the tire was irreparable, gave me a range of replacement options ($50-$150) and put the new one on, all in less than an hour! This experience made me feel highly disrespected as a customer and I have no plans to go back to Niceville Auto again.
I went to get an inspection and oil change on my 2006 grand marquis. Everything from the customer service to the job done was outstanding. I would recommend this place to anyone. They do great work and have really good customer service
Niceville Auto Service has been our auto repair business for as long as they have been in business. Their honesty has always been impeccable. I really appreciate their warm greetings whenever I need something done. I highly recommend them.
Maintenance light and airbag light came on, took it to this place to get it inspected. I remember thinking the price of the inspection was a bit high, but their service more than changed my mind.It ended up being really dumb problems, like the last oil change didnt properly reset the sensor and another code was causing the airbag light even though nothing was wrong. After the inspection they called me, explained the two problems and other small fixes that werent urgent. They knocked the price down of the inspection cause of how small the issues were! I ended up getting some of the other smaller stuff fixed there cause I saved money anyway. Very nice staff, made me feel like business was appreciated. Even on the phone, was very thorough and helpful. Would go back!
Ive had a blow out but I was able to make it to ur shop because I have rft tires. I walked in and asked about a tire replacement or could you mount/ balance a tire out. Ur secratary told me u guys didnt do tires. What Auto service shop doesnt mount or balance tires. Ridiculous.
This company consistently exceeds my expectations. These guys are honest and hard-working and always come through with great service and delivery. I do not take my car anywhere else for service. I highly recommend them.
Excellent service. Actually took my car in early and they were able to work me in and return the car ahead of schedule. Easy to work with and extremely helpful. Would recommend to anyone.
So far ive experienced nothing but 5 star service. Great tire recommendation and inspection. Most of all, the price. Tires arent cheap and i was unsure about the possible charge for realignment since i have paid (for) close attention to it in the past. Sure enough when they saw my alignment was good they took the alignment charge off my tab. With the dirty shops in the area, I cant help but to think i would have been charged if i went anywhere else. Im getting further diagnostics due to my radiator. More info to come...
Very friendly, fair prices and able to complete the job in a short amount of time. Highly recommend.
Took the car in for a misfire. I was told it was going to be a week before they can look at it. Then I said Ill take it somewhere else and magically can fit me in.Wish I wouldve went somewhere else. $180 for a coil. $56 labor. $56 diagnosis $26 for job supplies. Whats ever that is with an easy install. The coil is an $80 part. Thats a nice mark up.I asked them to put in the spark plugs I had with me. They took them and then handed the back to when I picked it up. And told me we dont use customer parts. Why did they take them from me?They spent more time looking over the car for other problems then they did working on it. Guess thats why they want $150 to diagnose. This is the only shop that charged me for diagnostic and didnt take it off the labor for doing the job. I know how long it takes to replace a coil and feel like I was gouged. Go to L&L auto they care about their customers
Exceptional customer service. Outstanding.
The Daves - newly joined by John - along with their outstanding service staff, are the best auto repair shop that I have ever used. Their work is always done on time and correctly and they advise me of everything they have done or what I might need to have done.
They found a very small leak in my radiator which I had repaired at Honda under warranty. I really appreciated them checking things so carefully when I had a routine oil change.
They were able to get my brand new tires balanced with their Road Force machine when the tire shop I purchased them from could not.
Always reliable and knowledgeable about auto service. They dont try to sell you service that you dont need. They keep up to date on the latest in auto service needs.
I always receive top notch care for my vehicle and am treated like a friend, not just a customer. The best mechanics and staff in the area!
These guys are the best! I wouldnt trust my car anywhere else.I posted the above review about a year ago, and these guys continue to rock. I was there last Saturday (9 Apr 16) for an oil change. I told Dave about a noise I was hearing and was concerned about. He checked it out right away and told me it was a fairly serious problem. It took several hours longer than I was scheduled for, but they made it happen even though they had to stay past closing time. I appreciate that they were concerned enough about my safety that they would put in the extra time. Thanks!
I have been taking my family vehicles to NAS for 20 years and have always been happy with their service and work. They are very trustworthy and the only people I want working on my cars! Even my adult children take their vehicles to NAS.
Engine light came on, got car towed here. They made a list of what was wrong, as well as what was likely to go wrong next (old battery). I asked them to prioritize repairs in order of importance, since I couldnt afford everything. They fixed the car (ignition coil), and car ran great. A couple weeks later I had to leave the car parked for several days..and battery was dead. Got a jump start, drove here, they hd it replaced the same morning. Very honest about what is wrong and what it costs to fix it. Also, the people working there were kind, and not pushy trying to upsell repairs.
David and Dianna have taken care of all my cars for the last 17 years. If they dont get something right the first time, they go out of their to make it right! With all we have to worry about in life, Im happy to day that my mechanic is not one of them!
Niceville Auto Service repaired some potentially dangerous wiring problems in my mothers Kia Sorento. Everyone I spoke to/dealt with were both professional and genuinely nice. Their prices were extremely reasonable and the speed in which the work was done was top notch. We will be returning there for future repair and maintenance needs.
Our family has used Niceville Auto Service since we were transplanted here from California over ten years ago. Over the years we have trusted David and Diana with ALL our vehicles (total of five vehicles). Dave (front desk) and all the mechanics walk us through every single repair and explain why it needs to be done and sometimes offer less expensive alternatives. Once, our sons vehicle broke down and his friends helped push the vehicle to the nearest mechanic (not Niceville Auto Service). The mechanic diagnosed a problem with the engine that would cost us over $800.00 to fix...I wanted a second opinion and had it towed to Niceville Auto where they found that we had a loose battery connection!! They reconnected and sent us on our way at no charge!! THANK YOU for ALWAYS being honest and earning our trust...absolutely priceless!
Great service by great people. We have been customers of Niceville Auto for over 11 years. When I cannot do it myself or do not have the time they take care of it.
Excellent service and friendly staff.
Quick turn-around, and they took the time to fully explain the mechanical issues/recommended fixes...great group, will definitely take my vehicle here again!
I had an appt this morning at 9 and was fixed and on my way by 10:20. They were so nice and professional. They told me what was wrong, how much it would be and the part was delivered and on within 15 mins. I just moved to Niceville and am happy to know we have found an honest mechanic, which is rare these days. Thank yall so much and I will be referring you to all who need some work done.
I have always been pleased with the service at Niceville Auto, Their prices have always been fair and the service is quick.
I have used these guys ever since my brakes failed completely in 1999. They were the nearest shop from the incident, and I gave them carte blanche to go over the entire car and fix anything remotely messed up that they could find. Expected to be taken for a ride of at least $3000 or so. The bill? $65. Thats all. One little piece had fallen off the ABS. I know they checked my car over, because he handed me a list of things that would be nice to fix if I had the money, but told me that nothing was urgent. We have taken our cars to them ever since then even though their location on the opposite end of town is inconvenient.
I would never ever recommend this auto repair shop to anyone. They were supposed to check my brakes and see what all i needed done. Well for starters they wanted to charge me 400 for parts and labor when i called oreillys and the parts were 100$ for everything. So i declined their estimate and did it myself. I noticed my front tire was wobbeling (i changed the rear brakes never touched the front tires) and decided to see if my lug nuts were tight. Well what do you know i could have unscrewed every lug nut with my hands which if you know anything about tires this is extremely dangerous. When they did the diagnostic on which brakes to fix they had to take off all four tires and neglected to properly tighten my lug nuts. If i didnt catch this as soon as i did my tire could have fallen off while driving and i could have been seriously injured. They obviously try and take advantage of women thinking we dont know anything about vehicles. DO NOT EVER GO HERE.
Have used this place many times and always have a good experiance
The most professional experience youll ever have at a repair shop they do what they say there gonna do and at the price they quote they are courteous and friedly cant recommend a better shop
I took my truck there to be fixed, I goes to check it out, it looked like a storm had hit it. Every pocket and glove box had been emptied, speaker missing! They fixed my truck, just pay attention to your vehicle before and after you take it to them!!!!
Great service.
Walked in to have a tire swapped out for another vehicle which is only a 5-10 minute job and was told they were too booked. Way to ruin a business if you ask me. Ill never return here again.
Thanks guys
