Do not bring imports here. I have used Guilford Texaco as my go to mechanic for around one year now. I have had 3 repairs done by them, yet it seems after ever repair a new issue would arise directly after I left. I drive a Mini Cooper, a car that is no doubt a pain to work on. Recently I had an assortment of issues and chose to go to a mechanic that specializes in imports. You could probably guess the frustration I felt when I received a phone call telling me whoever worked prior on my car messed up the wiring and used cheap parts that broke. The reason for my current visit (and bill) is due to messy work and cheap parts. Also, the bill for those repairs DID NOT match the work done, over 1500 down the drain. Do NOT bring imports here, I cannot stress this enough.Response: Hello James, I attached my invoice here. I finally received my car back and was informed of multiple issues regarding prior work that was done by Guilford Texaco North. For context, my car is currently at 98,362 miles, the work done by Guilford Texaco North was done at 95,660 miles, only 2,702 miles was put on since then. My new mechanic that worked on my Mini stated, The oil filter was very old and clogged yet on my invoice (5840 provided by Guilford Texaco North) shows that I was charged for an oil filter and lube kit ($24.95), oil filter housing gaskets and an oil feed tube (together being $812.50). But as stated from my new mechanic, the oil filter was not replaced from my visit at Guilford Texaco North on April 1st, 2021. On the same invoice (5840) a vehicle safety check was done as we wanted to verify that there were no other issues with the vehicle. Yet, my new mechanic said the air filter was hard as a rock and hard to remove due to the age. I have gone to Guilford Texaco North several times over the past year, they were the only mechanics to work on the vehicle until a couple days ago. I am now questioning all of the previous work done on my vehicle.Thank you for your response,Kayla

I brought my car to GT North for the first time this past year and will never bring my car anywhere else! having a Jeep with over 100k miles, its time for major services/upkeep. Jimmy & His team are always so helpful and honest, not to mention always complete the work in record time. So many times I have been upsold on services at the dealerships, but here they are upfront and honest about what needs to be done now, and what can wait until next time. Ive had a radiator replaced, oil leak fixed, and coolant leak addressed, not to mention a tire repair here and there. My car has never ran better & i know i can rely on Jimmy and their team to get the job done. My entire family has since begun bringing their cars here for services and have been thrilled with the quality and efficiency of work. its always worth it to support small business & would recommend GT North to anybody needing vehicle services!

The other day I decided to put a leveling kit in my truck. I did the front no problem, but when it came time to do the back I realized that my jack stands were insufficient. I called the men at Guilford Texaco and they said that they were slammed and couldnt help me at that time. I explained that I would then have to take the kit out of the front(which took me hours to do), and get to it at a later date. The manager paused for a minute, then said to bring it down and he would see if they could get to it.... They didnt just get to it... They got the back installed and performed a four wheel alignment for me. This was way beyond my expectations at the time... I find that service like this does not occur often, and deserves to be recognized. They have gained a customer for life!!!

I had Jimmy and his guys do an oil pan on my diesel 6.0 dump truck. Dropped it off Monday had it back Tuesday morning and back to work. Great experience, will be sending my trucks there from now on.

Very expensive, big markup on parts. Also had to make 2 trips to pickup because they told me it would be ready on SAT, but when I arrived they were closed with a note on door. I will not use again.
