Horrible experience with these guys. I went in for a smog and just opening the hood you can see one of the hoses was ripped. So they went ahead and ran the smog check knowing it wouldnt pass and charged full price. Beware and do a visual check before coming to these crooks! If only I could post negative stars, they dont deserve the 1.

I have a 2012 Mercedes and it failed two years ago at a different location in Corte Madera. The person who tested my car gave me a ridiculous reason for the fail and told me to drive it 100 miles on the freeway. My car always gets serviced at the dealer in San Rafael, should not have failed then. This time, I found Ron Cromwell smog online and decide to give them a try, they are next to the post office I usually go to. I told them about my experience with the other smog place two years ago. They said they would take a quick look at my car to ensure same thing would not happen at their location. Sure enough, they said my car would be fine smogging and I was out on my way in 10 minutes. Professional service, technician seemed very knowledgeable with Mercedes and I paid only $48. Ill be back with my husbands car!

Great place to get your smog check done! I called in ahead to schedule an appointment after a referral from a friend of mine who has been taking all her cars here for years. My regular go-to place is in the process of changing ownership so they are no longer star certified. Cromwell’s Chevron is my new spot to get my smog done! Very friendly, affordable, and efficient service. I was in out in less than 15 minutes and they also sent my star certificate to the DMV for free! Thank you guys, I will be back!Fred.

Small little store here. Bathrooms are as large as the inside of the store. Also has a smog shop here as well. The bathrooms are reasonably clean for a gas station public restroom.

Went to get my smog check last minute since i forgot i was expecting a hard time since i came with no appointment but Andy was very polite and helpfull he got me set up and Yilmaz took less than 20min to do my smog check i was practically in and out. And the price is not bad at all.

The smog worker was arrogant, rude and unprofessional...I will never go back to them. Ill go to S&E Smog Check at 1011 Machin Ave for polite service.

Im from Oregon. Paying 50 cents more per gallon and pumping my own gas just sucks. Lol

I had my truck smogged 6 months ago and it never gor submitted to the state. I had the truck retested and had an issue with a computer not posting. Third time, third charge with no break in the fees, it passes. Confirmed with tech that it was submitted to the state... Well. 2 tickets inthe same day and 2 hours at DMV proves that was wrong.

Only non-daredevil diesel station for a 26-foot truck in Novato.

The worst place to do smog check. Too expensive and very bad costumer service.
