Right when you walk in youre hit with this amazing smell thats hard to describe because it depends whats baking. Quaint shop where you can buy gifts for all sorts of people. Must see place in Oshkosh! Ice cream is rich in flavor, many different types of popcorn, cookies are ever evolving yet delicious and wine choice is large. I bought a few gifts for my friends because I couldnt stop myself. I bought aplenty gifts for me too. It can be a childrens playground with all the toys for sale. Upper management was very close with workers and working along side them. Pretty door and beautiful designs all around the shop. Wheelchair accessible unisex restrooms with changing rooms. Very inclusive place seeing all the different faces that came into the store. Was there for 3 hours and still didnt see everything!

This might be my favorite place in Oshkosh. The food is delicious (especially the soup!) and desserts galore. Little shop packed with all sorts of things and perfect for finding a gift for anyone on your list. Saving the best for last, the book store is the best part!! Any book I’ve ever been looking for has been on the shelves and if for some reason they wouldn’t have it, they would order it! I am SO thankful to have this place here in Oshkosh!

This place gets better and better all the time! Love the bookstore and gift shop!I came in right before closing time and the ladies were still willing to make us a sandwich which I was very happy about because Planet Perk closed the kitchen early. My pork sandwich was really good, yet my hubby felt the shredded beef was very dry. We ordered cheesecake to go and it was the absolute best! Thank you!!!

Cute place. However, I purchased food. The Lumberjack soup was awful. It tasted like it was a stock soup provided by Sysco with nothing additional added. I opted for breadstick instead of crackers with the soup. Since this is a bakery I assumed that it was freshly baked.. well, you know what happens when you assume things.. The only seasoning used in the cashew chicken salad was salt, and way too much of it.

This cafe is wonderful! As a college student trying to find cute coffee shops in the area, one day I came across, Caramel Crisp & Cafe. When you walk in the smell of yummy baked goods draws your attention to their cafe! They have so many options, I was amazed! They have amazing ice coffee and pastries and also lunch options that always hit the spot. The people that work there are always so friendly and cheerful. If you have extra time too I would definitely recommend looking around in the store. They have so many unique treats and things to look at. This place is one of my favorites in Oshkosh and you will not be disappointed if you go there! Owners are just so lovely too. Best Cafe! Will not disappoint!

This store is so cute and full of a variety of goodies! We got books, ice cream, and cookies! All of which was amazing, the cookies were especially good ( Oreo cheescake, along with many other flavors)! They also offer food, popcorn, toys, clothes, oshkosh keepsakes, and much more. You can eat inside or out on the patio. It is nicely located and is a must see!

Let’s start with the good. Cookies were yummy, service was decent. I got an almond milk latte with honey, the worst I have ever had, couldn’t even finish it; not sure if the milk was bad or what.

I had the bacon egg and cheese croissant The bacon was good but I have dentures and it was a little chewy.

Best thing about this spot was the cookies. Breakfast burrito was okay. Iced mocha was pretty lacking in coffee and chocolate flavor. Also, the steam wand was never purged or cleaned which is disgusting as the milk will just build up and soil and can creep up the wand into the water tank and soil everything.

We brought our 2 little guys in to kill some time before a wedding. It was the perfect place. We found books for everyone and an incredibly inviting atmosphere. Our coffee drinks were delicious too!

Brought my three year old in with me. I only thought it was a candy, popcorn, coffee shop. I was totally wrong, and was just as excited as my child when I walked in. The people working were very nice and helpful, we got more then just popcorn. We got lots of books and even some princess shoes. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

The food was okay... soup was cold. They were close to closing and you could tell they were ready to go. A fun little shop with A LOT of stuff in it. The popcorn looked really good and they had some interesting product that has a positive message.

There are two sides to every story. The student in question is my daughter. She is a very respectful hard-working young lady. She has a position at her place of work where she is very responsible and respectful and she deals with customers all day long. I think we forget that not only are they students at the time, but graduating soon enough and will be a member of our community and should be treated respectfully. She had been going to and loving this cafe since she was a little girl.Perhaps, signs on each table that you want reserved for a certain number of people would be the answer. And I don’t think you can simply post on Facebook and expect everyone to see it. Many “kids” don’t even see it.Plus, I’ve always worried about hoodlums treating my kids bad; not a business our family has been going to since it was just a little popcorn shop in Main Street.It is not simply that they were asked to move, it is also the manner in which it happened. Let me ask you this: how would you feel if your daughter was yelled at in this way?

I dont usually write reviews, but Ive never experienced such bad customer service. I was asked to move to a different table because that one was going to be used for a board meeting, totally understandable. We expressed our feelings about that interaction with a review. The owner then came up to us and yelled at us (this is not an over exaggeration). We told her we would leave, and she said good and told us to leave. Very poor way to handle the situation, I work in customer service, and I could never imagine acting that way. As we were leaving, she came up to us again, and then tried to make it right. That should have been the first way this situation was approached. We have supported this place for a long time, and Im sorry to say it has been ruined for us. It was such a scary experience, we dont get into situations like this... ever.Response: We do accept your apology, we have no ill feelings. We moved to that table that you mention, because we went to ask the staff what had happened, because we didnt know who you were. They said you were the owner, they asked to talk with you, we said no we dont want to start anything. They then suggested we sit at that table, the one you are saying we moved to disregarding what you said. The staff offered it, since they didnt see why not. If it got busy, we would leave.About buying food, we were planning on buying dinner, and definitely some cookies or ice cream later. Our legs were shaking we were so intimidated by your actions.We did not come to argue, we came to do homework and get dinner.We have never been yelled like that by ANYONE in our lives, not even our parents. We dont get into things like this, nor do we want to. We were simply responding to what we were being told, we never even yelled at you. My friends voice is very soft, she has a hard time ever raising it. We were defensive for maybe a minute, but we realized this was not worth it. I remember repeating were going to leave! but you continued to scare and yell at us. Traumatizing experience for the both of us.Bad reviews are going to happen, its how you handle it that matters.Your request is VALID but you need to handle it better and dont try to defend when you continue YELLING at scared kids.

Amazing place. We started out looking for a coffee shop. Well, not only did we find coffee,but cookies, pastries, muffins, popcorn in various flavors, ice cream, pies, a deli, cookie dough,but also gifts, childrens books and toys, greeting cards, and the list goes on.We will definitely be back

I’m giving this place a 3/5 stars because the place is beautiful and well worth the visit BUT the coffee is not great. Iced Coffee had no taste and the hot coffee tasted burnt. We asked for milk chocolate covered strawberries and got white chocolate with a drizzle of milk chocolate. Didn’t taste bad though, just preferred a full milk chocolate. Great variety of cookies and popcorn.

Door county cherry cookies are the best!

I went the weekend of small business Sat and it was busy. Did a quick browse, many unique items from which to choose. Will go back for more exploration with less customers (during COVID times). Popcorn/caramel corn was being made and the aroma was very enticing. Definitely will visit again and try their corn. Smelled so good, bet it tastes even better! Really liked the unique mixture of gift items. Prices were a little high but the variety was so diverse, pretty much made up for that.

One our favorite places to eat. The salads and soups are so wonderful! I highly recommend eating here...make sure to get some to go.

They have a few “guiltless” cookies which are no added sugar and “low carb” cookies- all pretty good.They serve sandwiches abs soups and the grilled cheese is really good- along with each soup I’ve tried. They have many home made popcorn options and lots of other fun stuff to buy!

I love to bring my daughter to Caramel Crisp because they have got this super cute play area by the desserts area and we usually grab a cookie or two. But recently I decided to grab a sandwich and soup from the cafe and I was so disappointed by it. The buffalo sandwich was unbearably salty and the soup was nothing special. I think the gift shop and desserts are great, but the cafe food is not good.

We love Carmel crisp. My daughter has a blast in the toy store portion. I had no idea it had expanded so much. They toys they have are awesome, almost every product Melissa and Doug have, Carmel Crisp has it. We also went for the free event of meeting Santa and it was very well organized and the staff were very friendly. Not to mention the sweets and snacks are awesome!

I went into Caramel Crisp to check out their cookies. I also checked out the salads and caramel corn. They have so many varieties of everything and all looked delicious! I ended up leaving the shop when I only came in for cookies, with 7 cookies, cashew chicken salad and a bag of yummy caramel corn. Caramel Crisp is a dangerous place for me to go because I come out with more than I planned to. I certainly enjoy everything that I brought. YUM. 😋😋

Stopped in today and picked up some caramel corn to send to my son in Oregon as part of a care package. Shared a cinnamon roll, warmed up, it was ooey, gooey and delicious. My hubby got some Wisconsin Cheddar cheese popcorn too, so yummy and very cheesy. They have the best cookies too, always a special treat.

Admittedly I havent had their cookies, which look great and they seem to be known for, but theyre latte was just ok, and their cinnamon roll looked great but wasnt very good. Had a few other items here and they all just seem like they could be better. Fortunately its not that expensive and they do have a good sized space that includes a play room for little kids and a toy store (which is what kept us coming back a few times).

Great food with a lovely selection of meals and shopping items to choose from. The shop looks excellent, however it was closed while we were there.They have some specialty cheeses that Id like to try sometime.

I don’t visit many of shops or cafes in downtown oshkosh but Caramel Crisp has been one of my favorites for years now. Their cheesecakes, cookies, coffee and anything else I’ve ever had there has never disappointed. The oatmeal coconut chocolate chunk cookies are my favorite! This is a great family spot and kids love the toy section, my son always wants to spend a lot of time browsing. They’ve even got a small playroom for little ones to enjoy while you wait for your orders! :)

Today was my 1st visit to but NOT my last visit by any means. The food, the staff, the surroundings in general were ALL AMAZING!! I had a grilled pepperoni sandwich which was awesome and great mac and cheese too. The bakery is unreal and the gifts and toy sections are to be visited over and over! Way to Go!!!!

I enjoy going there but the seating is cramped, not much room at all and when it gets busy, its chaotic. They need a bigger place. Prices are high and there have been a couple of times when I had coffee that it was just a few degrees above warm. If I am paying a couple of bucks for coffee I want it to be hot. I think the girls that work there are friendly and polite and basically pleasant but the owner of the place.....well lets just say I am not a big fan of. Shes not very friendly and seems more disconnected than anything else, her social skills are lacking. She needs to be more pleasant towards the customers, after all its the customers that keep Caramel Crisps doors open. Show some appreciation, right?If the prices were lower and the seating was more comfortable I would give this place 5 *.Half of the times that Ive been there Ive been somewhat disappointed and the other half my experience was just mediocre and not much to talk about. Theres nothing real outstanding or special about Caramel Crisp, at least not in my opinion.Im not saying this is not a good place to visit but by far not the best place that a person could go to in Oshkosh to relax and enjoy some food. Overrated by some for sure. I am glad that they have free WiFi because that is definitely a plus and for sure it is one of the things I am guessing that keeps some people coming back.

Place was clean and merchandise was well presented. I’m giving it two stars because the girl I ordered a coffee from totally forgot about my order. When I brought it to her attention, a different employee made it but we had to prompt an apology from both of them. It appeared that they really didn’t care, whatever. Glad I didn’t leave a tip.

My first experience at Caramel Crisp and Cafe. Very cute set up, staff was friendly and the chocolate chai and salted caramel pecan cookie were both delicious! Interior reminds me of a Cracker Barrel; gift shop and food and I really like Cracker Barrels. I will definitely be stopping back if I happen to be in the area again.

Ordered pulled pork and ice cream. Food was fair, pork was dry would definitely order extra sauce if someone wanted to try it. The ice cream was very good, they have a unique chocolate flavor we always liked getting from here; definitely worth a try.The massive detractor is the owner and her attitude.We just asked for a cup of water with the meal and were denied it because of the owners policy. Funny thing is, they provide a bowl for dog water. This actually made me laugh though, so they get a star. customer service is horrible though, but again I dont think its necessarily the employees themselves.Edit: I appreciate the response I guess? And although you leaned really heavily on that keeping everyone safe pitch; you kinda used it to circumvent my criticism. Im not sure what you consider table service but my girlfriend requested a water in a DISPOSABLE cup. Now if your response is, in fact, WELL YOU CAN JUST BUY A DRINK FROM THE COOLER. That could be considered valid, but might also be considered a reason people might think less of the business? Usually thats kind of a courtesy in food service. Unless when you ask for a water at perkins they tell you to go buy one out of the cooler? To be clear; She Wanted A Water In Disposable Cup . Thanks!

Cute place but cafe mocha and latte tasted chemically. Used to higher quality coffee. Their coffee needs an upgrade! Popcorn though was pretty good.

This is a homey cafe that has recently expanded in size. They have always been friendly and courteous when we visit. They always have great baked goods, including pies, cookies, and cheesecake. Worth the stop. My favorite is usually the peanutbutter monster cookie-if you like peanut butter a lot.

Average for sweet factor. Cookies are $1.35 each, buy 5 get one free. We tried 5 varieties doubling up on what I thought would be my favorite one. The cookie I bought two of varied completely - one was gooey and the other hard. My favorite was the cookie with melted caramel in the center. Overall lacked a richness I was in the mood for. We also tried double waffle cones. The scoops definitely varied being on the skimpy side for this type of establishment with my mom getting the least. Coconut almond chip was yummy. Service was friendly. Short walk from Ground Round public docks if arriving by boat off the Fox River.

I have been going to the Caramel Crisp shop since it was on main street. They have the best popcorn around. Ask anyone.They have gotten a lot bigger over the years. They sell alot more things. Very nice and cozy atmosphere. Great place.Great place to get something to eat and something to drink. Do some shopping and remember to pick up some popcorn. It is very good.They are expanding again. Soon I think they will take over the whole mall. Who knows they might.
