Great selection of fashions me gently used clothing items wit really fair pricing. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Rare to see these days ! Staff all genuinely enjoys being there and create a very welcoming experience.The selection is great. It’s clear they are curating quality in demand pieces.Pricier then a traditional thrift store, however I personally don’t mind paying a bit more to not have to rummage through huge bins or racks to find quality stuff.It’s best to check in frequently as selection of course changes and things seems to sell exceptionally quickly at this location.Overall a great spot to get cute affordable clothing, shoes, accessories .Worth mentioning they do not allow anyone to shop with a bag larger then a purse.Not a huge deal but I’ve witnessed several people taking issue with it. They will hold your bag(s) upfront and provide a tag similar to coat check.I love it as it as it makes shopping a breeze but if I had anything valuable i may hit be comfortable with this policy.

An FYI for anyone larger than a medium. Stumbled across new location in South Philly and seemed promising. Prices were good and so nice to have this on Snyder. Lots of standard brands and huge space with a lot there. However, the color coding instead of size organization made it really difficult shop until I realized that the vast majority of the clothing was below a size L. The store doesn’t need to organize by size since it is almost completely S-M sizes, not size inclusive even in standard sizes.

Sometimes I wish they were better at buying. Also stop asking me questions when Im trying to shop. It takes a lot for me to want to shop and they can sometimes kill it when 40 associates are coming up to me asking me questions and being suspicious.

I got a really cute coach bag for 30.00 The staff is helpful and very sweet. I stopped going there has to be over 10 yrs because there prices were crazy high for being a thrift store which is how it started off. Then they became consignment. They even had a really beautiful Michael Kors leopard print bag but I like big bags. I also got a cool sweater. I definitely recommend it.

Stopped in while visiting Philly and thought the selection/prices were okay. I was more disappointed with the two employees who were openly and loudly talking poorly about one of their colleagues. They carried on for a few minutes and I had to leave after that. Really unprofessional.

Enjoy shopping at Greene street South, but can only take shipping once a month with the rude employees that work their. Over head a manager making fun of another costumer because she didn’t know how to pronounce a designer bag behind the counter. Not cool at all. Bad atmosphere if you would like to shop in peace.

I really like this consignment shop! They always have good stuff. Prices are decent, but sometimes theyll put stuff on clearance and then the prices are great!!! I recommend trying to snag some of this deals. There are always nice dresses and dress clothes on top of just cute everyday wear. I recommend stopping in if youre walking by.

I was told of a great consignment shop that I must visit. My response was You have seen one you have seen them all. I admit I was totally wrong, because Greene Street is like no other consignment shop I have visited. The items are great, the selection extremely large, and often have the price tag still attached showing you the awesome savings. I have visited three so far, and will make sure I get to visit the other locations.

Very nice layout of clothing and accessories such as colors of the blouses,scarves and the hand bags. Nice to see other accessories of sunglasses and hats. Shoes and some sneakers, a lot to see, friendly store clerks that greet you in hello and have you found everything okay.

This thrift store offers high-quality merchandise (I think no older than three years) in a clean, well lighted, pleasant environment. The staff is helpful without being pushy. The store has high inventory turnover so, if you dont see something you want, stop back and see whats new.

Most of what they have looks very worn. Hardly anything new or like new.

Greene Street is a fantastic place to shop. They have a wide array of clothing at reasonable prices and because the clothes are consignment, shopping there helps reduce textile waste. The staff is friendly and helpful and the store is always well-off amused and clean. I never go without buying a couple of items.

Quality clothes and shoes on consignment

I went to Greene Street to sell stylish and quality items. They tell me the wait is going to be 15 minutes... I waited 45 minutes for them to tell me they liked everything I had but since I didnt have the minimum of ten items they couldnt take any of my clothes. I didnt see anywhere on the website or at their desk a sign or note stating that was their deal. Overall disappointing and waste of time.

Great concept with an above average selection of items however they also have the rudest staff on South St. I will take my dollars elsewhere.

Found great stuff here, but I always thought the staff at South were pretty unfriendly. The last straw for me was hearing them make fun of a customer for not knowing how to pronounce Dolce and Gabbana. I had actually come back for a Tahari piece I loved and had decided to buy. But hearing them make fun of someone else soured me to the whole place. I didnt buy the top, and I dont think Ill be back.

I keep going back thinking every time will be different but I keep having awful service here. Took a friend from out of town shopping and she wanted to stop in. I found a shirt and fell In love with it only to find out that I couldnt buy it because someone else had it on hold. Im sorry you had it on the shelf. If you couldnt find it for that person who wanted it thats not my fault at all. I was willing to pay more than offered for it. I was even going to purchase more than just that item. Shame on me thinking I would have better customer service this time.

Although the selection here is very good, the prices are hardly that of a thrift shop. granted, your getting better quality clothes, but youre spending the same you would at regular stores. its a large store with a large selection of both clothing and jewelry, so its worth checking out.

Staff was pleasant, but the consignment process isnt great. You need a total of at least 10 items that are eligible for sale so if you happen to have 9 items that are eligible for sale none will be considered. They have unreasonably discerning criteria which doesnt seem to apply to items that already for sale. Items should basically be new although I have had brand new or only once used designer items rejected for whatever reason. Yet, I have found that they have shoes available for sale that look quite worn. If you are lucky enough to have your items selected and sold, you will only get 30 percent of the sale price if you dont choose store credit! Better off going to Bella Boutique. The policies there are more accommodating and their designer bag collection is insane.

My sister, best friend, and I went to Greene Street to have them sell some of our items. As soon as we walked in, the climate changed. I HATE blaming the mistreatment I receive on my ethnicity, but sometimes, it is BLARINGLY obvious. We took in authentic designer shoes, clothes, and bags (I LOVE Gucci). All items were in IMPECCABLE condition.We were spoken to condescendingly, the ladies who inspected our items were dismissive and just plain RUDE, almost suggesting that we were bringing them garbage. It was a scene straight from Mean Girls. The irony is I sell on eBay as well, and make WAY more money (they only charge 10%) and I have 100 % feedback.I used to shop at Greene Street, but after this experience, NEVER AGAIN will I step foot in their store.

Need to rethink pricing on 2nd hand clothes. I can buy new, on clearance, for less!

I made a credit card purchase today. The sales woman asked for identification which I provided to complete the transaction. The customer waiting in line behind me, a WHITE MALE, made a credit card purchase and WAS NOT ASKED for ID but rather told to swipe his card. I interrupted the sale to ask her why she did not ask the customer for ID . He stood there in silence while she replied, I forgot. I want to mention that the customer was from out of state. I know this because the sales woman asked him if he was participating in the newsletter He replied no and she tried to encourage him to sign up and thats when he said Im from Vermont. That customer, like myself, is likely to tell others about their experience at Greene Street. The sales woman identified on the receipt is Marilyn although when I confronted her she said her name is Katie. I hope that the owners will discourage this type of behavior and reprimand their employee.

Great, quality offerings for reasonable prices, however some prices are too high for a second hand consignment store. Unwilling to carry plus sizes or many shoes/boots over size womens 8.5.

I shop and consign here. I wish they carried more dress pants for work, but they do carry smaller sizes. $5 off $20 order if you purchase the same day that you consign.

If you do business here and co-sign some items be prepared to wait to be paid.They will gladly accept your items and the terms of the contract are not true when its time for you to be paid...........SO BE AWERE AND BE PREPARED TO WAIT. They will not give you a number that you can call they tell you that they will contact the bookkeeper and get back to you, and believe me they take their time.

I do like their merchandise but it is a little pricey for second hand. Some of the prices are of brand new items. Today I went in the store just to browse, was greeted then followed the entire time. Yes I have a baby stroller with a baby but as soon as I enter theres no need to hurry and walk to where Im at. When I then make my purchase, as she took the brand new tights, that are folded and still have the cardboard insert and cardboard outter packaging she literally examed and poked and pulled as if I put something in the packaging (stealing). Now granted Im black, with a stroller but lady I make at least 10x what you make in a day ALL BLACK People DONT STEAL!!! They need diversity training
