Terrible customer service here, the cashier had such a personality 🙄. Mecca market didn’t have what I needed so decided to check this place out. Never again, it’s no wonder why there’s never any customers in here and Mecca is always packed. Please humble your workers.

Unprofessional experience with the customer service they sold me bad cheese and they refused to refund it and hang up on me. For this reason i will stop shop there although I really know the owner and I know his a very good guy but I didn’t appreciate the way they hang up the phone on me.

They say online they close at 11pm, I went to get food at 9:15 pm last week and they were just putting food away and said they close at 9pm. Ok, fine. I go in at 8:15pm when I get off work and they already put the salad and hummus (the 2 easiest things to serve) away and refuse to serve anything else as they begin to put away the hot food. You will continue to lose business if you do not honor your hours. Very unprofessional and just all around uncool. Ive tried to come twice just to get your food and only been met with a shrug. Theyclearly don’t need the business, so I dont recommend bothering to give it to them. They don’t care.

As salaamu alaikum wa rahmatu Allah wa barakatuhuMy first time purchasing food from this restaurant was one of the worst experiences I have experienced, I purchased a platter of chicken, potatoes and rice for $14.99 and when I arrived home I was eating the food and realized the rice had some slime in it which indicates it was old and/or has been sitting out for a long period of time. When I called the store they showed no concern and told me that couldn’t offer me a refund and they can do nothing.Brothers and sisters please take precautions when buying ready made food there inshallah.

Their desserts are disgusting. Also people who are packaging the desserts are irresponsible. Woman who packaged the dessert put it upside down. Desserts taste were awful. Please if you do not know how to make Baklava or other desserts, just do not make it!!

All the “fresh veggies” were old and mostly out of stock. the garlic was already growing sprouts. they don’t wear masks. the woman cashier kept judging me with her eyes because i was wearing a crop top. she kept looking down at my body.also the prices were a surprise. nothing was labeled and we spent so much money on low quality sh*t.

Really good late night corner store. Yes, the prices are slightly higher than bigger grocery stores, but it’s a small business so I’m not sure what else one would expect. They’re always open and good in a pinch. Good spices and jarred goods, mediocre produce, longer hours than other places in the area. During the pandemic the staff is not wearing masks, which is stupid honestly, but under different circumstances they are a good store to patronize.

Worst customer service ever especially the butcher at the back. Never ever going to step in this store again. Their chicken and other meat is too old.

The best halal grocery store in all of Philly and surrounding areas. Very professional, clean and organized store. Great selection of meats, sauces, spices and all around groceries. They just added a whole halal deli meat section and I am super stoked as I have been looking for a decent halal place that serves deli meat for years and havent come across a decent one until now! Prices are great too.

I was your customer from the day you started your business and I feel extremely betrayed from my recent experience at your store. We bought a pack of lamb ribs from your store and literally half the package was filled with fat (attached picture). The ugly part of the story is that you tried to hide the fat underneath the meat so the customer couldn’t see it. We will never shop at your store ever again and will let our friends know about this too.

Bought 3 packs of beef cubes and 1 pack of lamb. 2 packs of the beef cubes were brown, we didnt even notice it until we got home because you cant choose your package its behind the glass in the meat department. Never was like that before. Waste of $30. We live 30 minutes away and was not going to drive back for that. You do realize people can get sick if you sell bad meat, it had a horrible smell. We trusted the workers and didnt pay no attention. Will not be going back, even after someone recommending it to us. If it was anything else, I wouldnt be so upset but its actual meat. If your trying to save money by selling bad meat, imagine if someone got sick from it. Wish you the best.

Alrayyan is a hidden gem for fresh, high-quality meat in the University City/Spruce Hill area. Ive bought ground beef, chicken, lamb, etc and its always incredibly good and well-priced. Plus, I love the variety of products they carry! So many things to try. Also have always been impressed with the kindness of the employees and the stores long hours.

There is no declaration of price most of the items, you will just surprise when you check out! Young boy at the cashier hit each item twice! Be careful.

What an incredible grocery store! Everything is so clean and fresh, and you can tell that the owners of the store are proud of their store. Im especially impressed with the meat section, its so easy to find nasty old meat at nearby grocery stores but you can tell their chicken, beef, lamb, etc. Is always extremely fresh.The prices for the beans and other dry goods are also fair, and the cheese section is actually amazing for cheese lovers.I love coming here with my sister, theres always a nice man(owner? Manager? Not sure) who asks us how were doing.Always a great time shopping here!

We just returned from Beruit bringing home items that we could have easily purchased at the market instead of carrying them home. We had a wonderful shopping experiencing as we found good price/ sales and a large variety or selection of food. We also enjoyed eating food from the restaurant and being able to find a table to enjoy our yummy meal. The lamb platter was delicious. We will definitely be returning especially for their food and pita supply.

Very, very fresh meat; pomegranates are ripe prickly pear. Everythings kept very crisp, clean and priced reasonably. Good place for grains, seeds and spices as well.

Love the selection of Yemeni goods here. My husband is so excited because he is Yemeni and can buy items he hasn’t seen since he came to the US. My only complaint is they need to put sell by dates on the meat. I bought two packs of ground chicken and noticed a smell on one of them but thought nothing of it. Went home and had to throw one out because it was spoiled. If they had a sell by date on the package this wouldn’t happen. Please put the dates on fresh meat so customers feel secure in the safety of the food. Other than that I like this store and will continue to shop there in sh Allah.

Just opened today, and theres a variety of things including organic food, Halal meat, incredible tasting hot meals, delcious cakes and many more. I highly recommend this place.

They dont accept returned products onve opened. It is particularly annoying because most brands are imported and there is no way to know if they will turn out bad before opening them.

The place is clean, cheap, and has a good selection as other reviewers said but I was very disappointed in the food at the restaurant. I ordered a shawarma wrap which was dry and lacked flavor, and falafel which I suspect was frozen and also did not taste great. The hummus was good, but I will not return for the restaurant.
