Absolutely love this place. A lot of hidden gems here and ask of their prices are reasonable. Prices on vinyl are extremely reasonable compared to other places that specifically sell only music. Weve purchases several of their movie posters as well, and they didnt cost an arm and a leg! $8 for a poster seems pretty good to me! They even ordered a few that werent in stock! All of the associates are helpful and friendly!

Love coming here to browse! Always a great experience with staff and items. Ive done a lot of trading and buying from here.I would recommend for their video games, specifically their retro games they price a bit more fairly, using something like price charting. Their retro game prices are typically double of what they sell on eBay/mercari. And they also buy retro games for way to cheap. I had an authentic Mario 64 and they offered me 21 dollars to buy and they had two copies selling for 75 each....lol.

I love this store. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about almost everything they sell not to mention theyre all super chill and super nice.

I normally always go to this exchange for all the items i need for gaming and other things but recently items Ive bought have been faulty and in poor condition. They do not properly test products that come in the store pre owned and sells broken items at maybe $2-$3 less than retail price. The employees are friendly and helpful but half their products are in bad condition because they dont seem to check or test items brought to them properly. I do not plan on coming back here and i warn others to look closely at items you buy or ask if they tested any pre owned electronics properly they have before you buy it.

10/10 shopping experience. Much more personal and efficient than buying online! Reasonable pricing on a constantly changing selection of video games, records, and memorabilia. They also have abetter selection than GameStop on new in box accessories. If you need a game you don’t see they can even check with other exchange stores and give you the option to ship it to your local store for free! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. They seem to love where they work. Great time stopping by every time.

The store is dirty and bought a PS4 used bundle. It was more than other places and the co troller was broke. Can not get a hold of anyone. Don’t waste your time here GameStop is cheaper and better products for used

Best selection of CDs, hands down!!! I went to several other places, but they became subpar to downright ripoff. The Exchange has the best selection of Metal Music that I always find something there. I dont buy movies or games from here, but the music is amazing!!! Its a bit far from me but I always buy something from here when I go!!

This store as well as the other stores like it has a great deal of used movies for sale, some of which are even VHS copies, though they dont keep track of the inventory for the VHS tapes like they do the DVDs and Blu-Rays, and if one store doesnt have what you are looking for but another store does they can have it sent to their store, and that is only what they have for movies, they also have a lot of video games new and old as well as a great deal of music on various formats including CD and Vinyl, and finally they have a wide variety of other electronics including televisions, Blu-Ray and DVD players, sometimes even an old VCR, plus old game systems and components as well as a lot of other stuff, so if you want to find something in this area of products Id say check this place out.

Always a good selection of video games and CDs. They will also order stuff for you if you dont like the idea of giving Bezos more money. Frequently, there are good rare video games here as well.

Very impressed with The Exchange on McKnight Road. Staff was super polite & professional on a recent visit to see about selling a collection of music CDs. Made the process very easy. While I wasnt in the market to purchase any items at this time, was impressed with the amount of stock The Exchange had available.

When I knew about this place, I thought it was going to be like a hot-topic-themed store. When I walked in, the place looked amazing! The associates were nice and they go around to see if you need anything, the setups were clean and been organized correctly, and the many vintage items they had ranging from NES to modern day items for a great price! 10/10 would definitely go to again.

5 out of 5. 10/10. This place is great. The staff of very helpful and customer service is great. I brought in a trade to get some store credit. I was able to find a really rare game too!! The price was just a little cheaper than online but it was in great condition and was complete with original case and manual. When buying online you never know what youre actually getting so seeing it there and not paying extra for shipping is a huge bonus. They also mentioned that they can order things from different stores if I didnt find what I was looking for! When I got my trade back They did return quiet a few things. When I asked why they couldnt take it all a young lady explained that they were overstocked on them and they werent very popular. I really didnt want them back but she suggested half price books or goodwill, which I really appreciated. I got more than I expected in store credit. It really helped me out! They are willing to work with you on your offer to give you the best price and they beat Gamestops prices! Very pleased with this business. Will definitely be back!

Really awesome place. The staff are very y customer friendly every time I go there. The last time I went to this place, they were super nice. They even gave me an Exchange Experience Card so that I can get new information on what goes on at the store.

If you dont want to read the whole thing: Rude. Uninformed. No product knowledge. Weak selection. AVOIDThey have a decent selection of vinyl buy its ridiculously over priced even for the used selection. Its easy to get better prices elsewhere. Theyre film selection is abysmal. Dont even bother. They have a plethora of CDs but who the hell buys CDs anymore?!I use them only if I cant find it somewhere else. They are not helpful. They are rude over the phone. They have next to no knowledge of anything that came out before 1990. This is generally a store I avoid unless I know they have something another place doesnt.

Staff is always friendly and the store is well put together. Sadly this location just like most exchange locations overprice a lot of the retro games. They just use pricechartings prices without taking any consideration to game condition.

A great place to find old movies or games that you cant find anywhere else. Great prices and super helpful staff! Very informative and knowledgeable and if someone doesnt know the answer to a question, they do their research or ask an employee that knows about what you are inquiring.

If youre looking for a specific movie or music album Im sure this place will have it. Cheap too! The staff are extremely helpful. I love going here with 10 bucks and being able to walk out with 5 new movies to watch. If you havent checked the place out Id highly recommend it. This location seems better than the others as well.

This is my primary Exchange that I visit. Overall good selection of games and anime, and found quite a few gems over the years. Parking at this location is a bit limited but Ive always had a spot.The bigger problem is never go in with the intent to sell. The trade in value is a bit on the low side, but selling is abysmal for most things. At least they have a wide range of things to trade in on like headphones and figures in addition to media.

Let me start by saying I really wanted to like this place. The price point on the games and gaming consoles are too high. I went to pick up a Nintendo 2ds for my kid at Christmas time. A used one is only $10 less than a brand new one. Many of the used games are just a bit cheaper than new ones also. For such a small difference in price I am buying new everytime. Their album selection while being decent is overpriced also. There are some positives though.1. Great place to browse2. Employees are helpful3. Store was neat and kept up.

The Exchange is awesome. My boyfriend and I will buy seasons of shows for 3 or 4 bucks each. They also have an extensive collection of DVDs that are only one dollar. The employees have always been helpful and friendly!

Tested my PS1 at home before taking it in. Put system, power cord, and input cord all in a plastic bag tied up. Went into the store to sell and opened the top of the bag as it was in knots, was told that I didnt need to open it as there was 1 ahead of me. They said the system didnt work and wouldnt read and put everything in one of their bags. I said that it just worked at home so I would test it again. Went home to test again and the power cord just happened to be missing. Called the store, there never was one.

I recently went to the Exchange for the first time ever, as I was looking for a particular (no longer being made) video game. This game was one of my sons top items on his Christmas wish list this year, and I couldnt find it ANYWHERE! Upon inquiring with the Associate (I believe her name was Lauren) she informed me they would submit a request within all their locations, and if any of them received the game as a trade-in I would be notified via email. I didnt hear back for approximately 2 weeks (and was even debating paying $300 on eBay for this 4 YEAR OLD GAME, as it was the only other option LOL). However, I received the email and immediately went back to the Exchange to purchase it. The other Associates told me Lauren was reminding them everyday to check the availability for me, and I am so grateful! Thanks so much - you saved Christmas 😄

The Selection is of Great Galore. More offerings, but also higher prices on items..I assume foot traffic, is heavy, giving it validity.

Store used to be an awesome place to shop. Prices have gone up, the actual quality of the merchandise they sell has gone down, and the current staff is inept at best and rude at worst. They have sold me defective consoles and other equipment on numerous occasions. I would seriously recommend taking your business either to Amazon for retro needs or another store for more current products.

Tremendous selection of good quality disks at reasonable prices but, of course, each store has different items. They have a website but do NOT provide their database of available stock.

The Exchange on McKnight Road is a SUPERB Place to FIND that Obscure DVD or Difficult CD! My Wife & i have been going to that location for a few years now! The GREAT & KNOWLEDGEABLE Staff have FOUND quite a few HARD TO FIND Movie Titles & Music CDs for me! My Daughter & her Husband go to THE EXCHANGE a lot to find that CLASSIC ACTION DVD or that FUNNY COMEDY thats NOT available any more! When i call them & ask for a CERTAIN TITLE, Theyll tell me if they have it, if not, theyll HUNT FOR IT! They have found at least 30 different titles for me, & NEVER said that they COULDNT or WOULDNT! I like them & respect them too!!! Our Son also goes there to find that CERTAIN CHUCK NORRIS Film that he has to have!

I really like the layout of this place. They sell a lot of cool media at good prices that would otherwise be difficult to come by in a brick and mortar.

Selection for games seems to be spotty. Most of the games are in wrong cases, missing manuals, or have messed up cases. When there are games that are complete, 30-50% of the time they arent playable. Not a reliable place to go for complete games. Also, the customer service experience can go either way. Sometimes ill have someone that would love to help me find a game. But there are times where people will act like im a bother if I ask them a question. For instance, I bought 5 games and a funko pop and before she could bag them together, I asked nicely if the funko pop can be in its own bag followed with a dirty look. Lastly, I know this review is a little late but I purchased a used Xbox One back in 2015 and told them the next day I wanted to return it because I wanted a Playstation 4 instead. They wanted to charge me a 40% SHELF RESTOCKING FEE if I didnt want to do in store credit. I generally have better experiences when I shop at the Monroeville location.

Love this place but I just bought a ps2 the controller didnt work the wall half of the power cord was missing and there was a saving private Ryan DVD inside it obv they do not look at the product they buy or test it they just buy it so not going to go to them anymore if they dont replace the items I bought

Cool store with huge selection of movies, CDs, video games and video game accessories. Though I find their CDs a little expensive considering theyre on the verge of becoming obsolete, movies and video games are both really cheap - much cheaper than going to Target or Game Stop. I always go here first of I ever want a video game and the games I bought were all dirt cheap and worked properly. Staff is very friendly too as they ask if you need help without hounding you to buy something. The biggest complaint I have is the parking - the lot is very small and is only accessible via northbound on McKnight.

I bought a $130 play station 3 backwards compatible for my girls for xmas...it is broke 4mths later and they wont do anything. Why would you have only a 30 day guarantee on peoples obviously heavily used electronics???

My friend bought a used Xbox 360 controller. It didnt work (cord had to be held in a certain position to maintain connection) . When we returned it with the receipt (only a few days later), the exchange would only replace it with in-store credit. They did not have any other used 360 controllers. When I insisted they give him his money back, they offered us 85% of it back because of a 15% restocking fee. If a store is going to specialize in used goods, i would hope they have a slightly better return policy for broken merchandise. If I need any other used merchandise, i will feel a lot safer buying it off the internet.

The staff is awesome, very friendly and knowledgeable. The selection of retro games was very good as well. The only gripe I have is that prices have been inflating since retro games have become very popular once again, so games that people say are Rare and asking hundreds of dollars on Ebay for are also adjusted in the store as such. This really sucks for hardcore gamers/collectors that are looking to play games of their childhood via the original cartridge or complete their collection. Also they used to have Non-sport PS2 & Xbox games for 1.00 & $2.50 which are pretty much non-existent now and their all at least $5.00. So if your looking for a nice store with a good selection and price isnt really a factor for you, then I do recommend this store. However dont expect to find any hidden gems for cheap..
