Very rude employees. I wanted to purchase a skirt for $4 and did not have cash, only a debit card. Not only did they refuse the sale, saying I “had to use cash”, they were incredibly snippy and impolite about it. I know for a fact that I have bought several clearance items there (some within the past year) with a debit card that were under $10, despite being rudely told it wasn’t possible today. I have consistently shopped here for years, highly recommended it to multiple people, but have noticed a steep decline in customer service over the years.

One of the best unique boutique I visit. They sell designer clothing, shoes and, purses. In addition, you can find near to perfect HomeGoods, furniture, rugs, stemware and china. My go to place when Im in Pittsburgh.

Last time I visited, they had some really nice dresses for an affordable price!

Was super excited to finally stop in this store yesterday after countless times of passing by. I was pleasantly surprised with the number of designer clothes and shoes that they had. However, my opinion of this place quickly changed after coming home with my purchase of a lovely white summer top, “White House Black Market” only to find a yellow stain right center in the middle of the shirt.First, I would like to say I have sold many items of my own to consignment shops. Never once would they accept an item with a stain on it. There have been many times they turned down some of my items for the tiniest mark or hole that I myself couldn’t see or couldn’t be seen with the naked eye. The lighting in this store is dim as are the stalls they have to try clothes on, therefore it would be hard to see such a stain on an item of clothing. If I even thought for one minute that this place would accept clothing with stains on it I would have asked to take the item outside to inspect it before making the purchase. Savvy Fox does not accept returns in which I completely understand. However if you are going to sell items with stains I think that the item should be marked as “AS IS” so that the customer at least knows in advance and it would be up to them to try to fix what is wrong with the item.UPDATE: See owners response~ Was pleasantly surprised that the owner replied and as I hoped the stain was overlooked when the item was taken in and they would never knowingly sell an item that is not in wearable condition. I’m happy to know I can return this item.

Had a chest on hold because THEY did not have it priced, took my name and number, told them I would call in next day because I worked next day. Called in next day and they sold it, then I received a lecture from Molly the manager on how many people wanted it, never called me. Very rude and condescending. Horrible place spend your money with me Ethical people not this store!

First let me say that this shop has beautiful merchandise and a great selection. Everyone that I encountered has been very helpful. But that being said, as a consignor, I must share my experience. Back in April I planned to do a drop and run, but the owner had a cancellation/no show, so she took the time to go through my items personally, handing several back to me. She kept the rest, saying that they would sell. However in the next few days I did not see these items reflected on my account page. When I called and subsequently went in, I was told that my items were donated to the women’s shelter because they did not meet the criteria. I have no problems with my items being donated to a woman shelter but for the owner to specifically keep them, saying they would sell, and then they disappear, does not sit right with me. This happened again when my items reached the end of their consignment. I was told on the phone that they could not be found and that I was welcome to “come look for them. “ Quite honestly I don’t know why there is a $20 up charge to have your stuff sold here when they end up losing or donating your items. It’s not worth it. I’ll sell my stuff on line instead.

Jacqueline presented a number of opportunities and evaluated positive and negative characteristics of each and after 5 weeks we purchased a gorgeous home exactly in the pocket we wanted that is close to family and preferred schools. I really like this store. Just wish it was closer to where we live. Found great priced home decor items along with clothing. The store is small and sometimes I find alot of things in there and sometimes not. I loved their Shop Till You Drop bus tour. What a fun day out! If I am in the area, I always stop in. Its worth the visit!!!

This is the place for 2nd hand clothing and household items. Very reasonable pricing and great sales. Large selection and very friendly staff. I frequent this place and most of my clothes and shoes are from here.

I have consigned with the store in Peters and have had an excellent experience! I love the ability to check what has sold and for what price. Just on a whim, I went in to the Mt. Lebanon store to look for a TV/end table in a shabby chic white finish, and found a beautiful piece that matches my other Ethan Allan pieces in the room. Couldnt be more pleased.

This shop is hands down the Best ins Pittsburgh. They are professional and use a great system for inventory and they MOVE their inventory. Many people review shops badly if they bring things in that are not quality. The staff will be picky. They know what sells and that is the point. It is how they maintain a quality shop!

They have the best method on how to cycle the clearance sale of items to get it to the price I like 😊

Very interesting. I found some discontinued name brand purses I thought were over priced but on the whole, not bad prices. An interesting mix of furniture, brick a back, clothing, shoes, purses and jewelry.

I was completely amazed at the good prices and high quality of the clothes that were available.Aside from some furniture and home decor, the clothing sections are by far the highlight of a trip here. I bought two designer dresses and genuine leather calfhair heels for under $40. The clothes are separated by type (eg. pants, shorts, dresses, etc) and then by size and color, which makes it easy to come with a shopping list and find something that will work. There are also a good variety of shoes and handbags available.The best part of all of this for me was that it was very clear that the staff is selective in what they include. All the clothes are well maintained, so youre genuinely shopping when you browse, rather than just hoping for a lucky find. I will absolutely be back!

For a second hand store their prices are way to expensive! At these prices its better to go to a nice store & buy brand new clothes.. the prices are just about the same!!! Its ridiculous to go here and pay prices for clothes that have been worn when u can buy them new at another store and pay the same!!!

I have been in resale /retail over 40 years. I have been an Owner, Manager, Buyer, Merchandiser and Consultant. My workplace has been Personality Driven Boutiques, NonProfit, For Profit, and Corporate. So I think it is fair to say that I speak from professional experience.My review of Savvy Fox concerns CUSTOMER SERVICE, the key to any successful Retail operation. It is not easy. Consignment is a sensative enterprise because you are approving or dissapproving personal belongings. My Savvy Fox appointment went awry when I first entered the space. The woman in charge projected her blatent indiffernce to Customers and Staff, enforcing her self-importance on the atmosphere of the entire shop, loudly shouting directives with obnoxious superiority. I felt belittled as a potential client by her jaded expertise. My presence and the majority of my clothing were not good enough for her snobby, suburban, overrated, tired looking shop. Being knowledgeable is an asset if you know how to impart it, otherwise you just wind up with another used clothing store. I prefer the simplicity and sinserity of a GOODWILL.
