Great experience getting my eye exam here. The doctor was extremely friendly and easy going, the technology was pretty amazing and Jill, who helped me select glasses was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend this location and these people for your eye exam and glasses purchases.

I bought Oakley’s Coldfuse from Sunglasses Hut and went to Lenscrafters Ross Mall to get prescription glasses added.One lady at Lenscrafters spent LESS THAN 60 SECONDS and said we can’t put the prescription in these. IN LESS THAN A MINUTE. Didn’t help in any case. She could’ve checked other color models of coldfuse and help a little. Because Oakley online you can get other color glasses prescriptions in for coldfuse. But from this store NO HELP, ZERO. It was like they were not at all interested in helping a customer and they are official partners with Oakley for adding prescription to Oakley glasses. Wow!I am going to return my Oakleys as well now. Business lost for Oakley and LensCrafters. I know business from just 1 person doesn’t impact them. But this is frustrating.

Walked in to check my vision benefits as it had been two years since I was last seen here. They told me benefits were good to go and then I asked for an appointment. They said if you have time now we can squeeze you in. Needed new prescription of course. Ordered my lenses and frames and walked out very pleased. Everyone was so helpful and friendly and it was the end of the day.
The first lady I was greeted with - I forget her name, but she has a short, burgundy-ish colored hair cut, maroon jacket and black pants on - she was very nice and let me know I was still able to get some glasses despite my having left my prescription at home. The second lady that actually sat with me and got my new glasses set up was very helpful. I was surprised and excited that I only had to wait under an hour for them to be ready. Ive been needing new glasses for some time, so the entire experience totally made my day. I love my new glasses and I thank the ladies there for being so helpful!
BAIT AND SWITCH. She said they take my insurance. LensCrafters took my insurance for the eye exam. LensCrafters did NOT accept my insurance for frames. They quickly offered me a deal on frames. Downright UNETHICAL.

The Assistant Manager helped me place my old lenses into the same frame I originally had the other ones in that was damaged by our little puppy. I called other Lens Crafters and they told me that they could not help me. Cheers to this location and to their Assistant Manager. Thank you once again !!

Today I took a friend that is having a bad time, in the moment we walk in a lady with short hair start looking at him, the doctor made the exam but when we ask her to show us some frames she started to make excuses. She didnt tryed to show us any kind of frames and start saying that everything was expensive and saying that the glasses would take 10 to 15 days. I was going to pay for the glasses. That lady should be ashamed. Denying a service because you think the person dont worh it. Really disappointed
Walked in just to browse at frames because I have an appointment coming up. Two people were “assisting” customers but no one bothered to say “I’ll be right with you” or even acknowledge that I had entered their store. Selection wasn’t that great and I’ll probably cancel the appointment now and schedule elsewhere.

I just want to give a koodoos to the office staff here. I was very frustrated because I used them in the past and was trying to go back for a contact exam but my insurance ended up not working with them. They went out of their way to help me get set up elsewhere and made sure I had contacts to last until the appointment. The staff and doctors were always great in the past and would use them in the future. Great service!

Im giving all LensCrafters stores in the Pittsburgh area 2-Stars because none of them are affiliated with doctors that offer digital eye exams. In 2019, for stores that are part of a major national franchise to not offer digital exams when digital exams have been available at LensCrafter stores in other parts of the country for more than a decade indicates a total lack of concern for the best interests of their clients and is really unforgivable.
Horrible experience, starting from the front desk. These people are racist and rude, if your African American save ya time and money and go to the LensCrafters at the Robinson Mall.
I’ve had amazing experiences with everyone in this office except Dr. Mantel.I made a mistake by not knowing I needed a contact fit check as it was my first time getting contacts and no one in office had told me so. I called and was short on the phone because I was frustrated about not getting my prescription. This was a mistake, and I had as NOT aware I had to do a check in.I came back for the fit check ready to apologize for my mistake after being short on the phone. Although no one in the office had told me about the fit check being necessary.Instead, I had a 30 minute lecture from the doctor about his prices on contacts and how rude it was for me to only get my appointment without buying lenses.He also attributed my “money saving behavior” with being young and naïve. He said I was endangering his license by using a different retailer to buy my contacts. He reminded me quite a few times that he had 29 years of experience in his field in a condescending manner.I left his office crying, after he had called me sensitive for crying(being scolded for 30 minutes in a dark exam room by a man who kept reminding me of his “29 years of experience” will do that to you).Additionally, after looking on ProPublica, I see he gets kickbacks from the contact companies for making sales. Not surprised and highly dissatisfied with the levels of unprofessionalism.Again: everyone else in the office was always great to work with throughout the years.I won’t be coming back.
The employees, are very nice, swift, and you dont have to wait more than a week to get your glasses. Its 100% great quality and you should definitely go there if you want designers.
Fast quality work. It only took one correction to get them to stop suggesting frames for the wrong gender, but they didnt pay attention to the gender data my partner put on the form and misgendered her several times even after that.
Make sure you see Dr Mantel. Some days other optometrist are filling for him. Lack of documentation is an issue.

I’ve been a LensCrafters customer for years and Kathy by far is the best person I’ve worked with. She’s friendly, knowledgeable and honest about what frames look good on me. She’s really a gem!
