I was assisted by two very helpful employees here. I asked a lot of questions and they were knowledgeable and patient. The store was bustling. I liked that there was a policy posted at the entrance requiring masks in the store, but I did see some customers rudely ignoring the policy and I dont blame the employees for not trying to enforce it. I would highly recommend this store. It is located near Macys in the mall.
Attention everyone:They only care about themselves and selling you the glasses.Watch for Mindy/Mandy manager. Sheve no faith and no patience with customers.Its a shame - it would have been a good place if they can learn how to be patience with customers who is struggling with glasses for years.They should grateful they dont experience what Ive been going through. individual person is different. The Staffs just had enough and discriminated toward a disability patient.Staffs even encouraged the patient to consider to get surgery things.. ridiculous theyre prohibited to speak such a thing.The Staffs are far away from their faith and only Him will judge their faith.Tim is a good doctor but sometimes you dont always necessarily believe him like he have wore glasses. No one saw him carrying his glasses nor wore it.
Absolutely horrendous experience. Had a 6 pm appointment today. Immediately I was greeted by a long haired doctor that sarcastically asked me if I knew that it was 6:10.I was then informed by the girl at the front desk that I needed to reschedule because I was 10 minutes late. What a terrible inconvenience and an asinine policy. I was 10 minutes late due to traffic caused by an accident on the road. In addition, after being told that this was the policy, I looked back and it doesn’t say that anywhere in the email.They should understand that their store is in the mall and this was my first time visiting so I was not sure exactly where it was. Even if there was no accident, they should be understanding of this.I’m sure even if I had been on time, I would have had to wait at least 10 minutes.They lost my business forever, as I will NEVER go back there and I’ll tell everyone I know to never go there because of the awful customer experience. Complete failure on their part.
We went here near the end of last year. It went mostly smoothly, besides a small scheduling issue, but that wasn’t a bit deal and I’m actually incredibly grateful that they could fit me and my wife in at all. In addition, they went to great (and time-consuming) lengths to ensure my vision insurance benefits were correctly applied and that we weren’t overcharged (despite the fact that I almost certainly never would have known the difference). Doing the right thing when no one is watching is a priceless quality, and I’m just sorry I didn’t leave this review earlier so others would know what good people work here.
I have been to many different optometrist offices and many other Visionworks as well, and this specific office always has the best customer service anywhere around! Every associate is so helpful and kind and I even overheard a conversation where people actually travel further for this location just for the staff! They always make your insurance benefits very clear and transparent for you! Karlee and Haley are my go to girls and they’re always very helpful when helping me choose frames! During COVID, they also sanitize the entire office as well as every single frame, it always makes me feel safe going in knowing that everything is clean and sanitized. As far as the exam goes, I have been coming to Dr. Smicker at this location for years and he is a well seasoned optometrist that knows what he’s talking about! Lisa in the back office always gives me a good laugh and lifts my spirits and is so warm to me every visit!!! HIGHLY recommend this location!! Love you Visionworks!!!

They cancel your appointment if you’re 10 minutes late. My doctors office isn’t even that strict.
Extremely rude customer service. I would never go to this location again. They are owned by VSP and have no knowledge of how it works or what they offer. They don’t apologize for their poor service unless you ask for one. I’mSo disappointed.
I went for the first time to have an annual exam. They were Covid ready. The equipment was all new & seemed to be more up to date than the last eye doctor’s office that I went to. There was a nice selection of frames and the person who worked with me (I think that his name is Kaylor) was friendly, professional & patient while I tried on the different frames & made my selections. He took the time to explain & go over everything with me.

I visited this Visionworks because they accept my VSP insurance plan and because they are located not far from where I live. I have seen many optometrists in my life, and Tim Smicker, OD might be the best one. He was very informative about presbyopia and bifocals, LASIK touch-ups, and the Amsler Recording Chart to detect macular degeneration. He gave me a patient referral form and a list of ophthalmologists so I can schedule an evaluation of my retinas. After my quick but thorough eye exam, Dr. Smicker wrote a new prescription for my contact lenses, and I see clearly through them. The other employees were very polite and were helpful in processing my vision insurance and HSA payments. My husband also received an eye exam, and an employee helped him to select eyeglasses.
Checked out this place a little over a year ago. Found some glasses that I loved, got them, and then realized no matter how much I love them, they just didn’t work with my face. Luckily they had a 30 day guarantee and you could return them for any reason. Went back within the 30days, picked out a new pair that I also love. After just 1year and 1month, one of the stems fell off. Went in today to see if it was something they could fix, it wasn’t. The woman I spoke with checked on my record to verify it was over a year, which it was, but because it was so close she replaced my frames for free any way. Just popped my lenses into the new frames and handed them over. DEFINITELY will go back to them again (both my husband and I) for glasses purchases.Didn’t catch the woman’s name. It she had dyed hair, pink I think. She was quick, efficient, and fair (and it wasnt done in response to me being angry because I didn’t make any fuss! She did it because it’s a good customer service decision considering a pair of glasses that I pretty much only wear in the evening at home should not break after one year).
I bought my first pair of eye glasses in 2018 and went back to Visionworks Ross Park Mall in Jan 2019. Considering my number, I typically get high-index lenses. This time around I was shown some premium progressive lenses with the standard coatings for which I paid $300 over and above my insurance. After 9 months of regular usage, the coatings are starting to peel, gives the feeling of blurred vision and needing constant cleaning. So I took the pair in to the store and after looking up all my details, I was told that this wasnt so bad and was given instructions on how to clean eyeglasses. I would have thought that I have been wearing them for 25+ years and would by now know how to clean them. Anyways, so we asked what is to be done for the lenses that are obviously starting to crack. The answer was straight forward - the lenses are covered for a period of 100 days from the day i pick them up and since it was long after the 100 days, all I could do was buy another set of lenses, pay another $300 to correct the problem. Surprising the pair I got in 2018 are still perfect, do not have any blemishes and were not the premium lenses I paid for this year. So this is the quality of $300 lenses that are sold by Visionworks and are expected to last only a 100 days. They wont even last 1 year and now I am asked to shell out another $300 if I want clear vision. Well, that is one place that has lost the business of my family. Never going back there again.An update since I posted this review - The manager of the store had contacted me and replaced the glasses. The only catch being I had to pay for an additional warranty that I had not bough at the time of buying the original pair. It did cost significantly less than buying a completely new pair
Wanted to share my experience at Visionworks. I don’t particularly like shopping least of all eyeglasses. But I went in and was greeted by Cindy. I have to say she made it easier than I thought. Quick and painless. I got glasses that I really like and won’t wait so long next time. Thank you for your help!
Update: went in and spoke to Jacob R. He was extremely helpful. The sunglasses I was given were the one on file, I don’t know how that happened they certainly aren’t anything like the glasses I wear (or would wear) 😂. Anyway, he let me pick out the pair I wanted and swap. Thank you Jacob 🙏——————Very irritated. With myself and Visionworks. Waited a week for my new sunglasses, went in to pick them up and made the mistake of not really checking the glasses. Complete wrong frame. They look nothing like the ones I picked and to be frank are not a pair of glasses I would even consider wearing. But fair enough, it was probably a mistake so I just called the store. The nice lady on the phone told me there was nothing she could do over the phone and asked me to “hop in the car and come back so that a manager could help me”. Okay, that works with me. Here’s the catch though, if you close in 10-15 min maybe don’t tell your customers to come back in. Waste of my gas. Waste of my time. I’ll have to make a third trip tomorrow I guess. And then a fourth whenever the new glasses are ready.Not that upset about the wrong frames, that’s fixable. Just think it would have been relevant for the employee to tell me they were closing soon rather than ask me to come back.
My eyes are changing a lot and my right eye is worse than the left. I recently got 2 pair of glasses for a good price. They are not quite right so I have an appointment to get glasses and eyes checked with the same doctor. The staff is very good and helpful. The selection of frames and lenses is very good. The store is bright, clean and comfortable.
Used for the first time and feel like made a mistake!!We always go to Eyetique because of their 5 star service, gave a try to vision works this time as we were in a mall for holiday shopping, they told us that when your glasses will be ready will call you and send you a email also, I called after about 2 weeks and they said it will take another couple of days and will let you know once ready.Again after 4 days called again and they said yes glasses were ready day before yesterday (do not expect they will let you know the status)As per them they do not provide anything with glasses (no cleaning kit and not even the cleaning cloth) so had to buy that and bought it from them. when i asked about the cloth she replied you can come anytime we will clean the glasses for you. (wow what a service)Will never go again.
I have to say Cindy is just the greatest person. She is so helpful and kind. So glad we left the store below and came upstairs to Vision Works. This store was the greatest. The prices are great and Cindy really hooked me up with a spare pair of glasses. Cindy you are the best! I seen you talking to the other customers and you really care about your customers.
This is the first time going to vision works and I am extremely happy with the professional, quick to care for the customers needs. These have got to be the Best glasses I have ever bought. not only are they stylish but they have the prescription right on. I will never go anywhere else but to visionworks. I havent actually received my glasses, contacts and prescription sunglasses yet, but I had a fantastic experience. The doctor was knowledgeable and very nice. The woman who took care of my selections and order clearly loves the company which gave me confidence in my choices. She also understood my insurance and how to combine the sale options with insurance for the best overall price. I am extremely pleased with the service and knowledge!
My wife and I got 2 pairs each at a reasonable price after the insurance discount (I actually bought a third pair just for the computer).My script needed a small adjustment that was taken care of quickly and without any fuss, which made the whole experience enjoyable. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. There was an ample selection of frames.Goodbye Lenscrafters!Love the sunglasses! The lenses are so good it seems I could watch a solar eclipse through them (joking - dont try that, but they are REALLY dark!).
I had a great experience at Vision Works in the Ross Park Mall. I ordered a pair of progressives and also prescription sunglasses. Although the area of focus wasnt quite right on the sunglasses the first time, they were quick to correct the problem. I experienced a high level of customer service and am very happy with both pair of glasses. Go see Katie - shes the best! She spent a lot of time with me and took great care of my needs. And she knows how to make adjustments properly for a perfect fit. Not all associates are good at adjusting frames. The doctor there did a perfect job on my prescription. Ill definitely go back!
I’ve purchased glasses here three times, and each time I have to send them back. When they measure where your pupil centers on the lens they don’t lower the chair to be level with you (as they do everywhere else I’ve gone to get glasses for the last 20 years), resulting in a distorted view, unless I raise the frames an an awkward angle. The third time I went in I mentioned having this issue and they treated me like I was crazy and refused to try and measure accurately. Never going here again.

I broke my glasses, scheduled an appointment at vision works the next morning and was able to be seen before my appointment when I arrived. I was greeted by the nicest people, the woman that first helped me had me laughing the whole time, the doctor who did my exam was so nice, and he woman that helped me pick my glasses and make sure I was happy was also super nice. I had a great experience and I was able to get two pairs of glasses for a good price because the woman helping me understood how to get a good deal and talked me through it so I understood as well. All in all it was a great experience and I only had to wait three hours to have new glasses the same day .
I was in recently to Ross Park. I must say this was an enjoyable experience. I wasn’t thinking of purchasing only looking. Cindy had come over to tell me about the promos they had. She took her time and helped me pick frames. I ended up getting two pair. I just love them! Thank you!

The doctor at this location was really good, adjusted my prescription twice to be sure it was as crisp as possible. Obviously their glasses and contacts prices are insane, so definitely recommend getting your prescription and buying those elsewhere.
Karlee was absolutely AMAZING! My oldest is a new member of the glasses community and Karlee walked us through the process, explained in detail and answered every question with patience and knowledge. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Quite disappointed with the manager at this location. Not only she gave the wrong information regarding my contact lenses to my wife, but she was extremely rude when we called in and when we stop over to pick them up. I will definitely not go to any other Visionworks location. Please hire better staff members who are focused on customer service and not bigotry and big egos. Buyers beware.

Got in quickly for eye exam.But they didnt verify my insurance before I came in.I picked out glasses by myself no associate helped me pick out frames. I went solo. Then wanted to over charge for 1 extra or have me buy 3 more upgrades. I will not be going back to them.

I’ve had a hard time my whole life getting glasses that got rid of my migraines (since my poor eyesore is one of the causes) and now I have a pair that I wear everyday and help so much! Great experience here. Dr. Navnit Mathur was very kind and answered all my questions during the eye exam and even took extra care since I wasnt 100% prepared for my exam. Made my appointment a month ago on line, continued to get text and emails confirming my appt. The day of my appt about 2 hrs before my appointment they called and cancelled because they just noticed that my appt I made a month ago, was made at 145 and they dont do 45 min on the hour appointments...???? But every confirming text and email said see you at 1:45, but they only realized that today??? Clearly incompetent people running vision works

If your running late for your appointment save your time and gas, I was 5 late for my appointment and they wouldnt see me, then they offered to put me on a waiting list that doesnt guarantee that youll be seen. Sounds to me like the doctor wanted an extended lunch break.

Jennifer from Visionworks saved my day. I came directly from Lenscrafters downstairs and even though I had a warranty with them, they refused to repair my glasses because the same frame was no longer in stock. Listen, Im as blind as a bat. I work for UPS and drive a truck and I would be devastated without an income. I happened to be off of work for my birthday today and my glasses broke while cleaning them. Jennifer sold me a new frame and transplanted the new arms to the broken frame and gave me a generous discount. Ive never been treated so well and she went above and beyond to save my job on my birthday. The ball that Lenscrafters dropped Visionworks definitely picked up.

Overall just an annoying experience. They offered a special for frames, only valid at the time of the exam, but my eyes were dilated and I couldnt really choose frames after the exam. No one was available to help, and they did not offer to allow me to pick a set of frames on special when I picked up my contact lenses or any other time other than when I paid for my appointment and contacts. They were not very helpful explaining insurance coverage.
I have really contemplated on writing this review as I hate to hurt a business. Unfortunately, I have given the owner (Marguerite) of this studio plenty of opportunities to contact me. I have had questions concerning my package of sessions with the studio and have not been answered any of my questions. Within the last month I have sent three emails, left a message with an instructor, left a voicemail where the message on the voicemail directs you to send an email, sent two DM on Facebook, and wrote a post. After all of this I am not sure how I am to get a response to my questions and I am now losing a handful of my yoga sessions that I paid for. I find it extremely unprofessional to not respond to a customer at all. I would like to add in here that a friend of mine has experienced the same issue as I have. Needless to say, this studio will never get my business again as there are plenty of other studios in the area that are under better management.

Based on the previous reviewers and my own experience on the phone just now, not sure I will give this location a chance. Called to ask about the sale and am shocked at how rude the person was that answered the phone. Abrupt, in a hurry to get off the phone, and a not very nice tone.

The absolute worse customer service ever!!! Dont ever transfer a RX for contacts or glasses.They took all my info, lost it, asked for it again, then lost my rx. I came in the store, had it faxed by the prior doctor. They sent me home because they were still waiting for the rx and said they will order my contacts when the rx comes in. They took all my info-- insurance, name address etc.They called me and blamed my prior doctor and said he sent the wrong rx for glasses instead of contacts. I called my prior doctor, said the request a glasses rx & he resent the contact rx for the 3rd time. All good right??Wrong. I received a call and was told my rx was received, but now I needed to come back in the store to give my insurance info all over again. 2 week process, no contacts.---update----The manager called and was able to place my order without me having to come back to the store.
