Great storage facility and great staff. Location manager is super helpful.

I would recommend looking elsewhere. They state that trailers are guaranteed to be available. 2 hours prior to my pickup Im notified in fact that its not available and am sent to another location that is not convenient. If I could give zero stars I likely would and this is probably the last time Ill rent from them.

Convenient location and plenty of parking for cars and larger trucks. Pull carts available to load and unload storage unit. The first level floors are uneven and made pushing the cart in the narrow hallways difficult. Noticed several units locked for nonpayment. A storage unit towards the loading dock did not smell good and was unpleasant to walk by. Overall the storage unit served its purpose.

Dealing with these guys face to face was great. The uhaul website though is another story. Short wait times, friendly staff, an very thorough. This store an its employees are great.

Fred is the best, and these guys can take care of any of your moving and storage needs!

I went to rent a U-haul from this location and it turned out that my connecting pin was severely corroded. Kevin was incredibly patient and was able to get the help from an associate to splice in a new pin. In addition, it turned out one of my fuses was blown. They were able to get me a new fuse with no complaints. Both men were awesome and were extremely willing to help. They saved me some serious stress on moving day. 10 stars

Fred and Ethan provided excellent customer service to me today. Was just gonna rent a trailer but they found an issue with my wiring that needed to be redone on my SUV. They took careful time to examine my whole wiring system to find the problem. The price for the repair was very fair and I am very happy with how I was treated. They definitely have earned a customer for life from me.

Terrible. I had a reservation for August 30th at 3pm to September 2nd at 3pm. They changed it twice, and I hired people through Uhaul to load the truck around the __RESERVATION_ time (with a few hours safety). I get to Uhaul and they inform me my reservation is now for ONLY 24 hours, so I could not even have it for the move-in date. And I was told they NEVER reserve more than 24 hours on a weekend. (NOTE: Sunday night was the start of my reservation). So apparently do not trust them to RESERVE (which is normally a contract with you to provide a service). I will update on the damages due to this, and extra costs incurred DUE to uhaul failure to deliver on their reservation.

Awesome location and great staff. I rented a van with only one days notice using the online reservation service. They had the van ready when I got there. The staff was professional and succinctly answered my questions. They checked me in efficiently and honored an early return with a refund for the extra reserved time that I did not use. I highly recommend this location!

Great staff. Positive attitudes & willingness to help any way they can! Visited the store to discuss my moving needs, expecting the unknown and left a happy camper with a smile on my face. Definitely recommend.

Today was our 5th time to come there to rent a truck for each time they are not renting for 24hrs but they are charged u always for a full day if I have an option for sure they are not eligible for any star from me.

Horrible. U-haul website advertises $130 trailer hitch install. I supplied my own hitch/harness and I was charged over $400 for just the install labor because the hitch/harness was third party. My father in-law gifted me the same hitch/harness as sold by uhaul. Getting charged triple is highway robbery. Called other uhaul stores in the area and they also quoted me the $130 as advertised on the website, knowing the hitch/harness is third party. I got a quote prior from the 800 number, but didnt get the second quote from this location, which was apprently a huge mistake.

Great place to refill propane tank. They only charge for what goes in, not a flat fee. Best price I have ever had on grill tank refill.

6 stars out of 5. I was in on Sunday morning to pick up a truck for the day and all the guys working there were great. They had the truck ready to go and parked out front for me. Will definitely go out of my way to use this location again.

If you need a trailer wired with lights, Fred is your guy. He is professional and very knowledgable. We had some hidden issues but he didnt give up until it was complete and operational. He runs a very nice business at this location. Thanks Fred ~ we will be back for other services too.

I have gotten propane at U-Hauls across the country and this was by far the best. An employee saw me pull the propane tank out and radioed to his colleague to let him know, I happened to be there at the same time as another propane customer so the manager had everything ready and stayed over there. Both employees were incredibly friendly and helpful.

I rented from these guys yesterday (11/13/2018) ... terrific experience. They were polite, friendly, professional, and had me in and out quickly with no hassle or delays. I will never rent from anywhere else again. Great job guys!! You made our move SO easy. :) Thank you!

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I’ve used this Uhaul location to move 3 previous times over the years and each time has been a very good experience. Today, however, was a terrible experience.I went in two days before hand and had placed a reservation to pick up a cargo van at 8am Saturday morning. The employee was helpful on that day and was able to answer my questions fine. After the reservation, we confirmed that I was picking up in the morning and I left.Saturday morning arrives. I’m in the store at 8:05am. An employee waves me over to help me. I state that I have a reservation. She stated my reservation was at 8PM instead of 8AM. I was surprised at first then asked what they had available, to which she replied a trailer. I said it was ridiculous and before I could even process what to do, she moved to another station to help another customer.At that point, I was floored. The complete lack of respect for the situation was appalling. I was going to purchase some furniture covers but instead I threw them on the desk I was at and left. Terrible service.

The store staff were great and well informed at helping us select a rental size. Plus, this location has a resting/waiting room with really comfortable chairs.

First time i went there was 3 people in line in front of me, and only one employee behind a computer. Two of the people waiting on line said they had been waiting almost 30 min already, I didnt have that kind of time to wait so I went on my phone and booked the trailer on there website and arranged to pick it up 3 hours later. When I came back there was someone being helped at the counter already (still only one employee) and I had to wait about 20 min to get checked in. (and this was there express check in from booking online.. Express means shorter time actually talking to an employee since youll have already answered all the questions when you booked online, it does NOT mean getting to wait in a shorter line.. I would highly recommend taking care of your booking online though)... Once I finished with that I brought my car up to the trailer to get hooked up and the guy tells me straight up hes never hooked up a trailer before, he quickly realized it was something you couldnt just guess your way through and called for help. (smart move!) the guy that came to help hooked it up in a few seconds (I actually would have liked him to have taken the extra min to actually show the new guy how to do it so he knew for next time but thats just me) both were very nice and professional. If it wasnt for the ridiculously long wait I would have given 5 stars but 30MIN-1.5HOURS which had I just waited the first time I imagine it would have been is just crazy.Pro:Helpful pleasant staff.Clean and organized.Good easy to locate location.Well stocked.Con:Be prepared to wait 30++++ min to get to the counter to check in and then another 15 min if youve already made a rental reservation online OR another 30 min if you havent made a reservation online..

This location has very poor customer service. We typically use a different location, but had to work with them because of availability. Weve never had issues with Uhaul until dealing with them. Long story short, when using their truck, it would not start and it took them over an hour and half to get to us to fix the truck so that we could return it. This was a major inconvenience and a disruption to our childs birthday party. We literally called them over 6 times to speak with someone about the issue. We also called corporate, who said that they would reach out to the manager so that he could give us a call back. This was back in December. Yesterday, February 4th, 2020, I stopped into the store to actually speak with someone about the issue and they said that only the manager can help and that he would be sure to give me a call the next day. Well, today is the next day and I havent received a call back. Again, very poor customer service when it comes to handling issues. This incident took place back in December, and here we are in February and I still have not received a call back after calling them and even stopping into the store to speak with someone. All they did was refer me to the 800 number.Uhaul in Plymouth, MN...step your game up and learn how to handle issues.UPDATE: Store Manager called me back and offered a partial refund today for the issue and inconvenience. Also, he explained to me that he hadnt been getting any of the messages that we left him from back in December because theres a specific internal messaging system that they use and he was unaware of the many communications we had left.I appreciate him reaching out and resolving the issue, but I cant get the time back that I spent trying to resolve this nor the major inconvenience that it caused, in us having to move our childs birthday party.

Terrible customer service. Charge incorrect amount, told the difference would be refunded, instead was charged a second time for the correct amount. Josh the person in charge talked in circles ultimately saying he cant do anything, call 1800 Uhaul screwed you.

The General Manager Fred went above and beyond making sure that we were able to rent a trailer and pick up my motorcycle. He helped us wire up the broken signal connector at the end of the day after close. Highly recommended!

I only got boxes here a couple times but I liked the store. It was clean and well-staffed.Update: make sure to measure your storage unit to make sure youre paying the correct price. I took one more point off.

Rented the uhaul from the golden valley location and the battery died in the truck. We were waiting for an hour an a half in a cold car for roadside assistance to show up. We turned in our keys so couldnt even get back in the lobby to get warm... in the dead of winter. Upon presenting th information to the owner/manager he just apologized and didnt even give us any type of discount for the inconvenience. Wasted a whole hour....not comming to this location ever again...costumer service is not good.

Such a great location! Great staff! Even when there swamped they will take care of your needs : ) We use them to rent a truck for our MS150 team and get nothing but great service year after year

Renting from the phone was a hassle! The site had so many problems. Then when I got the truck, it was full of snow. They didnt bother to clean it either, it was dirty inside and the bed was unusable with all the snow in it. I had to spend the first 40 minutes of my allotment cleaning out the bed! Youd think theyd have that ready for a paying customer to use. The guy didnt help either, just handed us a shovel and told us we could do it. Not a great experience.

This is by far the best place to rent a U-haul in the twin cities area. I came to pick up a trailer to pull behind my vehicle, and the lights were not working on the trailer. The owner, Kellin, came out and spent almost an hour figuring out the problem (which happened to be a broken converter box). He got the part and installed it on my vehicle right in the lot and did not leave until it was properly installed and working. Even if its out of your way I would strongly recommend renting from this store. The staff is friendly and the ownership goes the extra mile to ensure their customers are happy/satisfied.

When the truck I needed wasnt ready on time the owner, Fred, did his best to remedy the situation for me. Fred offered other vehicles they had on the lot but we had to move all of our stuff in one trip and were counting on the size of their largest 26ft truck. Although it was very frustrating and a big inconvenience it was mostly caused by the previous renter returning the equipment almost a day late, so most of the fault lies with that person.

On 6/10/18 around 9am I came to store to fill propane up, i was told certified filler is in the back of the store and hell be out in 10 mins. An hour later no one came. I went inside and now the story changed that he wasnt in today. Sign on propane fill up states available 7 days a week. I wasted my time for nothing. Horrible customer service.

The Plymouth location is exceptional they do everything they can to make sure that you are happy which is a lot more than I can say for the Brooklyn Park location
