I usually find what I need there. Unfortunately for me it took over 5 mos to get a dishwasher! Gotta love that covid 19!
Terrible experience. Sales people just like to yes yes. Just to get the sale. But come day of delivery i find that they did not know what they were talking about. The delivery team itself was great. Kind young men who seemed to know what they were doing and knew more about the product than the sales team did. But sales people just wanted to rush a sell, coordination of the delivery was a mess expecting me to be able to change my schedule to accept the delivery with just a 2 day notice? Who can just change their schedule around on such short notice? Typically most employers need at least a weeks notice or its just basically a call out... so I had to burn a sick day purely because of short notice. The only people in the whole ordeal who seemed to be of sound mind was the delivery team. And, as they put it with a smile and a light hearted chuckle, we are just the delivery guys. They did great. 5 stars for delivery. 2 stars for the rest of the experience.I write this on behalf of my father who isnt tech savvy.
Still waiting for a call back. Refrigerator not working. Purchase less than a year ago. I called over 5 times. Left message to please call me back. We are senior citizens who purchased a very expensive refrigerator and it is not working and it really looks like they do not care.
BEWARE: State street discount does not stand behind the service plans they sell! We had a covered repair by the company THEY recommended but has not reimbursed us, and state street has left us at the curb! What kind of terrible company would treat loyal customers like this?? - ONE YOU SHOULD NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM!
Great appliance selection. If youre doing a new designer kitchen this is a great place to check out. I visited for a new high end TV which they do well with choice and selection. Not exactly the Discount of the past though. I can get the same price from Best Buy and others. Didnt end up our making a purchase, Ill keep shopping around.

Another State Street bad experience.After the purchase of 8 TV, Trash Compactor, washer and dryer stove and fridge that adds up to over $25,000 I spent with these folks and not that my service should be any more or less then the person that comes in and buys a single item, I am just giving readers a bit of history.Last two deliveries were a joke and I told Dave M. I did not want to go through that nightmare again he said no worries, we have preferred delivery and if anything has to be done they can do the install extra which the standard delivery company does not do but will cost about $350.00 and I said fine.Tom with preferred called week before said his tech would be on site and then sent me an email to pay by CC and we did. Today they delivered our GE Cafe stove and when the delivery guys came in they said Oh, we do not un-hook LP lines!Oh boy my wife and I said here we go again, State street gave me no instructions what to do or not to do neither did Tom so I called and called and called finally I politely blew a gasket with person at State Street (I was calm and polite but clearly upset) of course it took a very pleasant receptionist to tract down Rob (I had left message for him to call me)within min Tom with preferred Movers calls (Never returned my call)said that delivery guys did not have the facts tried to blame them and that his tech was in fact coming but 45 to 1 hour late, I was upset and said Tom dont put this in these guys you didnt return there call or any of mineand how would any of us have known a tech was going to come if you did not show up on time and didnt have the courtesy to let me or for sure your guys know your late?The entire reason I was willing to pay extra so I was not having to worry about delivery or install issues, so who Ms. levy is going to pay me for 4 hours (this is from time delivery showed up to deliver a stove and then wait for your great vendor preferred movers?I believe if this was my company I would not risk my reputation on outside vendors providing terrible service.I will say the delivery guys did what they could and no complaint with that they simply do not un-hook and re-hook up the gas (I had to un-hook it) and the receptionist at SS helped me get to Rob and get things moving.Buying two 65 TV this week it will not be from SS and told my wife DO NOT buy the Pizza oven inside the lobby.
We wanted to write to let you know what a fantastic experience we had with Dave Mariano who helped us with our purchase of our Bosch Dishwasher. Without having to visit the store, we were able to shop, purchase and set up the install with just a couple of phone calls and emails.Not only did the purchase process go smoothly, Dave followed up and connected us with K&P when the original installer was unable to do the work.Once we had them lined up, the K&P installers were also fantastic -- prompt, easy to communicate with, and efficient. Plus we really appreciated that they were willing to make the trip to Portland, ME. They went above and beyond and it did not go unnoticed.Thanks so much! We will absolutely return for future appliance purchases at State Street.
I recently purchased a Samsung television from State Street Discount. I initially purchased a television from a big box store and found that the technology wasnt as conveyed. That set was returned to box store and I went directly to State Street Discount. I called before my arrival and spoke to Matt in the audio visual department. Matt new exactly what I wanted and was extremely knowledgeable on all the televisions they sold. Not only did Matt sell me exactly what I wanted, he followed up two days later to make sure I was happy and there wasnt any problems hooking it up.Im a State Street Discount consumer for life!!Thank you Matt!!!
Use ajmadison or find somewhere else.Ordered back in November (understood everything was back ordered due to supply chain issues). Received a call that everything but fridge was in.Went to go grab the microwave we had ordered but they had sold the microwave out from under us. No one apologized...Called to have the rest of the pieces delivered. Scheduled the delivery for Saturday - nothing came so called the company as they said they would call an hour before.They said they had nothing in their system, kept handing off blame etc, said I never called. Turns out the sales guy entered the date in the calendar for a 2022 delivery...Again, no one just apologized or took ownership. Mistakes happen but when did customer service go out the window?Just a bad experience.
Ashley is extremely helpful and patient. Excellent salesman! Highly recommended. *****A different sales person, not wearing a mask, was sneezing. They got up from behind the counter, got their mask and put it on afterwards. I saw no leaving for hand washing or sanitizing. Very Gross & Not Acceptable in this climate!! *Hand Sanitizer should be EVERYWHERE in this store! And encouraged to be used by shoppers & employees alike!!!

Buying here was a horrific experience. On the front end they were ecstatic and extremely motivated to work with me to sell me my 48” Thermador range. But then very shortly after receiving it when I had several service issues they had no interest in working with me . There response was more like “here is an 800 number goodbye”

I purchased a Viking stove and have had to replace the thermostat twice, have To lite pilot with lighter, called the store only to be sent to another phone line, left messages with no return call back. All I want to know is if State Street could recommend a decent appliance repair person. Viking company is the worst to deal with. Service with a smile until you pay hard earned money, then your on your own. Don’t bother us is how I feel.

I went in knowing exactly what I wanted and Jared was almost to help me get it purchased and schedule delivery. I appreciated that he didnt try to upgrade my choice or sell me anything else. It was a quick visit, which is what I needed in the middle of a work day.
Between the knowledgeable staff, the amazing selection, and outstanding effort put forth for the customers, I don’t refer my clients anywhere else. I know not only is the customer happy with the all around buying experience, I know for me, the pick up experience is nothing short of 100%.

I just purchased a whole kitchen for the house were building. They had an incredible choice of lines to choose from. Ashley, our sales person was super knowledgeable, & wonderful & so easy to work with. He had answers to all of our questions, & though he gave us suggestions & opinions, he never pushed us.We had made a mistake ordering a steel front Bosch dishwasher instead of a panel ready one. They took care of it without question & we had the correct one the next day. (Ashley actually called us back while on vacation & took care of everything.)We did have a problem at delivery with the attitude of 1 of the men & the appliances ended up going back to the warehouse. The next day we went over to the store to straighten out the problem, & the owner, Renee, helped straighten out the issue personally. She had the service manager meet with us right then & there, and he had everything taken care of the next day.I love my appliances (high end 😃👍), everyone from the company (delivery guys were subcontractors), & especially the great service we received!Hopefully we’ve bought everything we need for now, but when it comes to a new grill, we’ll head to State Street Discount.

Great place to buy appliances. We have purchased stoves, dishwashers, washer and dryers This trip we purchased a refrigerator. Excellent prices and knowledgeable staff.Highly recommended if you are in the need for high quality appliances and AV equipment. The delivery service was not great, gave me a 4 hour window of 1pm to 4pm they delivered our refrigerator at 515pm. Manager never returned my phone call. He made the delivery company call, which is very unprofessional. I will consider calling Barrons Appliances next time.

Bought $15,000 work of appliances. D p the person who sold me the appliances was super nice and friendly.All that said, washer and dryer was delivered and not properly installed. On first run, flooded our new home causing things of dollars in damage.The ice maker on the fridge stopped working after a month and the water machine started arguing or chemically foul tasting water.State Street manager Rob Williams was nothing short of condescending and rude. Completely absolved himself and state Street off everything and not willing to help. All he had to do was apologize and she some empathy but he was to busy being condescending and passive aggressive.I hope your appliances work and you dont have any issues because you are on your own. Will never recommend it but from State Street again.

Purchased three major appliances about 1 1/2 years ago, bought a third party warranty sold by State Street, on a refrigerator trying to get a refund for coverage because the unit was replaced by the manufacturer (not transferable) and coverage for food loss and the time spent trying to get payment for my loss is incredible. I paid $299 for coverage or better yet lack of coverage. Trying to get coverage on new unit with a new company thru State Street, have left many messages with Sales Manager, Saleslady and Customer Service, never get a person, always have to leave a message, then very few call backs. State Street owner please call me!Update, please see comment from Appliance Rob Williams, he did contact me and corrected the situation, we have a new replacement refrigerator and a five year plan from OnPoint Warranty Solutions, they appear to be a lot more reliable than Assurant (TWG). I was not aware that voice mailbox was full, the situation was corrected. Let me clear as soon as they found out that the main compressor system failed on the refrigerator State Street went to bat to get us a replacement (new) unit. BTW, I had four birdies and shot my best round of the year!
So Happy with my new GE Convection oven ! Best Upgrade Ive ever had in a Quality oven, at a great price ! The salesman David Mariano. Knew his products, and offered the Best options, and price. Hes the most knowledgeable and experienced appliance expert Ive ever dealt with ! If I can give 10 stars I would !
We wanted to replace our through-the-wall A/C units and State Street Discount had been recommended to us. We were warmly greeted when we entered the store and immediately helped by Ashley. We had a good idea before entering the store what brand we wanted (Friedrich) and Ashley helped us determine which model we needed based on the area we wanted to cool, the size of the opening the units needed to fit into, etc. He was very helpful, provided all the info we needed and we were able to make the decision to purchase 2 units right away. He ordered them then, they arrived at the store 2 days later and the installers Ashley recommended came the same day!!! Very satisfied with our State Street Discount experience. If you need help with your install of anything purchased at State Street Discount, ask for Elite Appliances to do it - Greg and Ben were also fantastic, very efficient, knowledgeable about the installs and cleaned up before they left!!!

OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE – My wife and I recently purchased a television from Matt who was very knowledgeable and helpful as we evaluated the myriad of models and features. He was also very helpful when we had a few post-sale questions. While we were very happy with the performance and quality of our new television, due to a problem with how it fit into our home, we reluctantly had to return it. Good customer service is expected before you write the check for an expensive item, but far more impressive was receiving the same respect and courteous service when we brought it back that we received before the sale. We can’t recommend Matt and the folks at State Street highly enough!
We ordered all of our new high-end appliances from State Street Discount in August of 2019. After going back and forth between Wolf and Miele we chose Miele range/oven, hood and dishwasher and a Whirlpool refrigerator. Everything arrived as planned and all appliances were installed professionally. At the end of February, 2020 the oven part of our Miele range stopped working. Miele has very poor customer service and they have very few certified technicians in NH that can repair Miele appliances. One week later they sent their appliance technician and he discovered the door sensor was dysfunctional and needed to be ordered from Miele directly since the Miele warehouse was out of stock of this small part. He reported to us it could take up to 4 weeks. Miele would do nothing to expedite this process. About 1 week later we found out that even the warehouse in Germany did not have this part available and we would have to wait for the part to be made. Miele would do nothing to expedite this process and we were to be left without a functional oven that was covered under warranty for an undetermined amount of time. I was very angry and reached out to State Street Discount. Rob Williams, the appliance manager, was AMAZING! Rob did some investigation and discovered his floor models had the same exact door sensor. He was able to convince Miele to send their appliance technician to their store and take the door sensor out of one of the floor models and then install it into our oven so we could have a functioning oven. We still waited over 5 weeks to have our oven repaired however that is entirely Mieles fault and I would NOT recommend any Miele appliances to anyone. We are so grateful to Rob and State Street Discount and would return here for future purchases. THANK YOU ROB!
We went here because they had the product that we wanted in stock. Paula in sales was good to work with, but otherwise, not a great overall experience.The store has Discount in the name, but the prices were well above standard. We wanted the Electrolux 617 washer and dryer set that currently has a standard price of $899 essentially everywhere - several places have it on sale for cheaper. Here it was marked down to $1099. They gave us the $899 price match upon request, but for a place called Discount, youd think theyd at least be priced at (or below) market rate. So just be warned that their prices are probably not the best around.But the reason for the negative review is that we specifically went here since they gave us the soonest delivery commitment, which was important to us because we just relocated and were without W/D for nearly 2 weeks. We ordered on Saturday morning and were told itd be no problem to get on the Monday truck, so we made arrangements accordingly. On Monday morning they called and gave us a time slot. Then they called back and asked if Tuesday would be OK. We said, no, not really. And they said, they were overbooked and were bumping us to Tuesday. Overall this is still reasonably quick delivery, but its frustrating because we specifically bought from here for the Monday delivery. Its not our fault that they overbooked the shipment, so youd think they could be more flexible to accommodate and meet their promises.

One of the main reasons I chose this company was because my builder recommended them, saying that delivery would be easier than with some of the big box stores. However, when it was time to schedule the delivery, it was a much different story. They claimed to have no influence over their third party delivery service (hard to believe if theyre regular customers), said that they couldnt even help me get an estimated time, and then hung up on me.In the end, I paid more than I would have paid Sears for the same product, and got the same service as Id get from the Home Depot.

We were very happy and glad we decided to take the ride to check out State Street. We did a lot of research online and picked exactly what we wanted. Went to Sears and they were unable to forfill Our needs, and also didn’t have any of the equipment on the floor to look at. When we went to State Street we were helped out by Rebeca, who was very helpful and knowledgeable. She made a few suggestions and help us finalize what we wanted. She also saved us a bunch of money compared to the competition.We were very happy and would recommend State Street to anyone.
I have visited State Street Discount several times and the only thing I like is the Tv side very friendly! The Appliance side is awful. Nobody wants to help you and if it is something they dont stock and they have to order they are very very snooty and do not want to be bothered. One guy even rolled his eyes! I seriously could not believe it! I would do 0 stars if possible.

These people are trying to rip you off. I went in there looking for a 2 channel amplifier and was told the cheapest bottom of the line amp was going to cost me $850.... are you kidding me!? Take a quick look on Amazon and you will find far better prices. These people dont care about helping you- just making a quick buck.

Very disappointed in the appliance & service department. I am new to the area and wanted to shop local and avoid the large big box stores. Huge mistake. Almost to the day after the one year warranty expired I had a problem, did State Street stand by their product (Maytag), no they did not. In fact their service department was rude. Beyond rude. Sending me back to Maytag. Had I known then, what I know now. Id go with the big box stores who stand behind their products. Avoid them and avoid a major headache. News of bad customer service reaches more than twice as many ears as praise for a good service experience. Ill make certain that my experiences are heard by many via social media, new media, newsprint and everyone else.
Were moving to NH and need new appliances for our new kitchen. The place to which were moving recommended State Street Discount, and were glad that they did. Our salesperson, James Shrigley, was very, very helpful and knowledgeable. And everyone else was quite friendly. We feel certain that weve made good choices and that delivery will go smoothly.
I purchased a GE washer & dryer on 7/29/2013; the dryer died this month (09/2014); I had no extended warranty and was referred to GE Consumer Assistance; Annie at GE told me the part needed was not available until 12/2014 (after I expended $200 in local service calls to diagnose the problem and identify what part was not functioning). That is only a tentative date. It may be 2015 before the part is available. I received lots of empathy from State Street; no real solutions and I have a brand new dryer that does not work. State Street the dryer will be on the curb, feel free to pick it up.
I cannot thank Tristan in the Customer Service department for taking care of my request. I was extremely frustrated with The Warranty Group when I was in need of service for my Electrolux double wall oven. I was placed on hold for over 1 hour waiting for someone to answer the phone. After making more than one phone call, I finally reached a representative only to be told I had the wrong department, not once but twice. Once again I was placed on hold for at least 1/2 hour. I decided to call State Street Discount and was fortunate to speak with Tristan. She was extremely empathetic and calming along with me assuring me that she would take care of the problem. I am happy to say that I have received a phone call from a Reliable service in my area and am waiting to make an appointment. Thank you Tristan. She is a very valuable employee at State Street Discount and I cannot be more grateful to her. The Warranty Group needs help.
We had a major problem with our top-of-the-line Jen-Air refrigeratorwhich we bought at State Street Discount. After waiting months for itto arrive at the warehouse, on delivery to our home in Massachusetts it didnt work. The motor went on, but there was no cooling. We could warm our feet by putting them in the freezer drawer.State Street immediately sent us a temporary loaner refrigerator to save our food. Within one week, they sent us a replacement Jen-Air and took back the loaner and the original.Their response to this emergency was outstanding and smooth. There was absolutely no friction or difficulty between us and the staff at the store. I would definitely recommend this store because they stood behind the malfunctioning, expensive refrigerator, and I will buy appliances from them in the future.
Went there to buy a dishwasher. We bought one of the higher end ones. However we were not aware of the Hidden costs. It cost us an extra 185 dollars to have it installed one week later. Wish I had known that at the time of purchase.

Very goodAttempted to use big box stores and online to frustrating to find all models that matched. These folks did it over the phone while I was traveling and had it all ready for us. Very nice and no pressure. I did check prices and they are very competitive
First purchase from them for appliances. Painless, matched the big box stores on price BUT charged for delivery when the big box stores deliver for free. Some rebates offset the initial cost.One appliance arrived with damage. Even though its in stock, wait a week to get it delivered and then the delivery has to move further out because they cant accommodate a one hour black-out window.Previously had used a big box store that has its own service fleet for all major appliances. Buying from a boutique shop has its disadvantages that Ill need to consider in the future.
I needed a new dishwasher. I called and spoke to Dave. I asked him to tell me what he had in stock that could be picked up the next day. He told me, I looked them up on the website. I then told Dave which one I wanted; I picked it up and was back in business with my new dishwasher the day after that. Couldnt have been any easier or quicker. Thank you State Street!

My stereos, fridges, washer/dryers, all come from SSD. Because they know and care about what they sell. Sometimes it feels like that comes at a premium, but it is worth it in the end. Their staff will get you the right product for the right price-- just tell them what you need and what you want to spend.

We all get the flyers in the mail, we were just curious to see what the hype was all about. Its everything you would expect but we never encountered high pressure sales.
I called ahead for a dishwasher. Gave Rebecca my price range and headed down there. I was looking to buy that day from there in stock selection. When I got there Rebecca had printed out all the spec sheets for four different dishwashers in my price range. I picked the Kitchen Aid. The men at the loading dock were just as friendly and helpful. I was in and out in 20 minutes and extremely satisfied.

Today was the third time ive attempted to shop here. The name indicates there may be doscounts within this retail location. We started here and found the prices were very high. Even the clearance and on sale items. We left and went to home depot, lowes, and bestbuy. Found the same brands at much lower prices. The range we settled on was 999 at SSD and on sale at lowes for 649. The dishwasher we bought at lowes was 399. The lowest price on the SSD dishwashers was around 500. I think we have learned our lesson.

If the appliance you buy works properly, everything will be fine. But if it doesnt, they arent there for you. They dont deal with service so they will refer you to a distributor who will refer you to a local service place.
The staff here is friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are competitive and the selection of appliances is wide.
This is our third house that we have purchased appliances for from State Street Discount. Alison is a pleasure to work with, we have had a great experience each time.

Follow-up: You are in fact correct, because you screwed up the order and were not on time we shifted gears away from the kitchen to minimize the loss. Next time if youd prefer to be my contractor and absorb the loss, I would be happy to have you do that role. Until then, it would make more sense to take some accountability for your poor service.Not on time, with 6 months notice for a very high-end large appliance order. One item they told me the day before and the other they werent aware of but it failed to show up on time. For those of you who are or have built a house, know the costs of delays and the only solution they have is for me to wait. The manager Paul Moreau offered no alternative solutions beyond waiting and was rude on my call with him claiming they did nothing wrong - what can I do. They want half upfront and half before delivery so they are floating their business with your cash and then delaying your project. I would certainly never recommend this company to anyone.

Most recently my dryer cord connection melted from the back/internally causing an electric charge running through the hose when I tried to unplug the unit. Customer service at the store would only refer me to the manufactuer offering no support in any way. The washer I puchased at the same time is rusting on the outside of the front loading door. Its leaking internally somewhere. My disher was recalled for a fire hazard issue.The products Ive purchased included Frigidare and Maytag and are about 4yrs old. State Street does not stand behind the products they sell or offer support when those products malfunction...they will, however, be delighted to take your $...never encountered any problems with these folks in that area.

Went there to look not only did i not have any help from the sales people but the same TV at best buy was $500 less. screw there overpriced bull and stop cutting down so many trees near my house!!
