The team at Certified Motors are great to work with. Ken was my sales man, always very accommodating and responsive with phone calls about updates on a vehicle I was interested in buying. Very good group of guys to work with and made sure the vehicles they are selling are in best possible shape. I highly recommend going to see them when you are in the market for a vehicle. I also did buy my vehicle from them the very next day.

Didnt buy from these guys. Heres why I wont recommend these people. Called 3 days ago about a SPECIFIC truck and both John and Rick confirmed they had it available. I am a military member that lives in Jacksonville, NC and so I expressed the importance of not wasting my time or gas driving up to the Norfolk area if they didnt have it. Called Friday and spoke to John, he confirmed they still had it. Called today (Saturday) while driving to the lot and John once again confirmed the truck was there. After hours of driving, my family and I get there: dont see the truck. John greets me and when I ask to see the truck that I specifically expressed interest in he says it was sold. He then proceeds to play dumb and say, I thought you liked the other (red) truck. John thank you for wasting my time and my familys Saturday as we drove all the way up there for nothing. You guys sold the truck and played stupid to try and get me to buy whatever you had. Bottom line, dont trust these guys!

They ask you to leave a good review after you buy a car so the rating is not accurate at all. After you buy your car there they will be done with you and act as unhelpful as possible. When we first got the car they offered free oil changes, now they have stopped and that’s fine but they could have sent a notice out or something. We called to ask about it and a guy named Richie Green told my boyfriend to go get his own oil change and hung up on him. Guess since they moved to Portsmouth they want to act as horrible as possible.

Both worked with me to finance a beautiful Jeep and it was delivered right to my door! It is a little scary to purchase a car sight-unseen but Certified Motors stand by their quality vehicles. I would have no problem buying again and refer friends!

I was talking with a guy named Darin Walker about a car and didnt get back with him the next day still was deciding if I wanted to go forward in buying but he called my JOB and asked for me saying he has a surprise for me and I wasnt answering my phone. I feel very uneasy now he took my personal info to his advantage very unprofessional.

I would rate my experience 5 out of 5 stars. I have never purchased a vehicle before and was nervous. I was treated with respect and Ronell had worked with me to make this happen. He put up with all the waiting and other stuff and still went out of his way to get me a good deal.

My experience with Variety Motors was one of the best. I was picked up by the owner Richard, and also taken out to eat. On our trip up here we got to know one another so it became less of a business deal and more of a lighter atmosphere. My dealer Ken was excellent. He made sure I got the right car at the right price. The other workers at Variety also made sure it was a pleasant day for me but including me in their side conversations. I must say I recommend this dealership to all that need or want a vehicle.

1 is definitely giving them way too much credit; I wish 0 was an option. So my friend was going to buy a car here and they allowed him to have the car for 24 hours to see how he likes it. He provided him with his drivers license and pay stubs so they could look into financing the car for him. He came and picked me up and we drove around and he really fell in love with the car and was so excited to purchase it. After hanging out and driving around we went to the dealership so he can call this car his own. They had us waiting for 35 minutes until we got news they couldnt find his paper work. While we were waiting he went outside to smoke and I was sitting on the couch watching Law and Order when one of their employees came and sat on the couch next to me hitting on me and making me very uncomfortable. Before things got to bad my friend came back to inform me they no longer had his paperwork with his social on it cause they didnt know where some one put it. Which is highly sketchy. So they drove us back to the base. My friend realized that he left the Navys Camera in the car that he was testing and informed the guy who assured us it would be fine. The next day my friend tried to get them to bring him the camera because he doesnt have a car and they refused to set anything up for him. I had to call myself and then they informed me that they were afraid that one of the employees was going to take it and sell it.So over all this company is incompetent. Uncomfortable hitting on females, losing important documents and refusing to provide you with your property back?DO NOT GO HERE.VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

Then when you confront them they play the blame game of who did it and its been 6 months still fighting to get the inquiries off my credit report! Worst experience, sold me a junk car, called to see if they can do anything for me they repeatedly answer my calls and say “oh I’ll call you back in 5min” I never receive a call back constantly speaking over me on the phone. Lied about car being in accidents my temporary plates expired before I received my plates when they delivered the car I received mail to pay for the tolls they drove through the car I bought from them drives terrible they sold it to me and I had to replace all tires immediately the tires had bubbles on the inside and each tire had several patches on it that were loosing air i first got the car and took it through a car wash I came out of the car wash and half the paint on the rims were gone the car has been in the shop for more than 2 1/2 weeks so far I can not drive it, I don’t like leaving bad reviews but I put this out there because you still haven’t called me back from 2 days ago when you said it would be “5min.” Do yourself a favor and do not buy yourself a problem with these people.

Company will not return phone calls, vehicle was having engine issues during warranty that their mechanic did not fix correctly. Now the engine is locked up and they STILL WONT RETURN CALLS. This was an ongoing problem while the warranty was in place and they did not fix it correctly so now the vehicle is sitting and I have only had about 50 DAYS!!!

My experience with Kelly was great, would use him again for any automobile purchases.

UPDATE TO THEIR RESPONSE BELOW:....Original Post-Whats ironic that Tom just tried to reach out and now I can put 2000 down but yesterday it was 2500 down or nothing. So yes A SCAMMER.......Worst Experience of my life. My credit is not good by any means, but first I get a call from a salesman who ask me to fill out a application online which I do, then he stops talking to me and I get a call from Tom in finance who tells me all these vehicles that I inquire about are sold except for chevy Malibu and a Hyundai SUV, that iam approved for a 1000 down and low payments in 200. Then I get a new call from JC who tells me about the same as Tom but when I try reaching him again he doesnt answer my calls and iam back to Tom, with more run around. Then I get a call from supposedly owner who has a nasty attitude telling me I need 2500 down and I can get car for around 300, also cars that were sold are available again, imagine that. These people are scammers and just want to look at for them. The owner guy was rude and made smart comments. You get the run around also he tells you try to find better you wont . Just a bad place to do business. U would try other places before I waste my money.
