Not a bad selection given the size of the store. The gentleman that usually works behind the counter with the grey hair is very nice and knowledgeable. It can get pretty crowded in there sometimes, and customers often cant read (or realize) that the pawn shop is not where the guns are. Overall a nice shop with plenty of offerings for its size.

Roy an DC are very knowledgeable. Friendly to everybody including those starting out in firearms. Prices are very fair and no gouging just because of demand. Highly recommended.

The folks at Roanoke Firearms are very friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. They told me theyd rather not sell me anything than to sell me a firearm thats not right for me. Theyve earned my trust, and my business. Also, they are not a pawn shop. There is a pawn shop in the same building (and they are nice, too), but they are separate businesses.

I have been shopping Roanoke Firearms since 2002 but just bought my first gun from them about two weeks ago, a sweet looking 1955 Browning Double Auto Twenty Weight with a Cutts compensator. The staff has always been very friendly, knowledgeable and have never tried to push a sale on me. Very quick and efficient, only took 20 minutes from the time I asked for the paperwork to the time I was walking out the door. While your playing the waiting game for your call back the salesman is there the whole time talking guns with ya.

I have purchased 2 guns here. As a black man from Martinsville, the local gun stores here treat me like Ive come in to steal or rob the place. Roanoke Firearms has never given me that feeling. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the website is always kept updated. My next gun purchases will be from Roanoke Firearms, and they will be the first place I recommend to everyone else.

I have been a customer here for over a year now. The staff are very knowledgable and wont pressure you into a sale. The store may be small, but the customer service is excellent. Their webmaster does a good job of updating the website inventory. Be warned, the good deals go fast.

Good selection but also the highest priced firearms in the valley

I have been buying from Roy for several years. Hes got a great since of humor, excellent salesman, and very knowledgeable on most all firearms and the laws governing firearm purchases, etc. He prices his firearms fairly and gives prompt service every time I have ever been in the store. If you buy guns online this pawnshop has the best transfer price in town

I have never had anything but the best service from all the guys at Roanoke Firearms. I have bought a number of firearms there and have been kind enough to special order a few firearms that I could not find locally. Upstanding and honest folks to deal with. D.C. (Dennis) has helped me more than once with issues that I needed a professional opinion on.

There is one guy who works here that has always gone above and beyond for me in the customer service department. I do not know his name, but am glad he is working when I stop by. Im about two hours from Roanoke but when Im in town I almost always go by Roanoke Firearms. The gun store itself is small since 2/3 of the building is a dedicated pawn shop so inventory can be limited (would like to see more black gun accessories). Sometimes ammo selection can be limited and fairly high in price, but thats just the fluctuating nature of the ammo business. But I keep coming back, so that says something. Fairly large holster selection and I also got the gun of my dreams (HK USP) a few years back for a decent price here.

Bought a gun from them about 6 months ago, they are great to deal with and very knowledgeable staff working there.

Very friendly AND knowledgable staff. I have been a customer since they started out on Williamson Rd with the original owner, John Markel, 17 years ago. They always try their best to please. Store is run by shooters-competitors, that understand your questions. Roy Frame, a fellow-competitor in IDPA, (combat handgun) runs the business; Roy can pick up any pistol, rifle or shotgun and give anyone a run for their money; in spite of this, there is no snobbery or misinformation. I rate this as one of the best shops in Southwest Virginia. Visit them, I think you will be impressed...
