Seeing Clearly is so Important!My time at SVC was a wonderful experience. And it began even before the actual date of my appointment. The receptionist on the phone was very personable and easy to talk to. Then, when I arrived that personal touch continued. It was a quick process of filling out a little paperwork and then waiting for the doctor. The wait was only 5 minutes or so. While waiting, I was asked if I wanted a cup of coffee or some water - very professional and yet a personal touch.The eye exam was quick and easy and the doctor was great. Best exam I have ever experienced...by far. I was not planning on getting frames and my prescription filled there but I changed my mind when I found a pair that I really liked. It was worth driving the 40 minutes from where I live.

I have been going here for two years. I can’t say enough about the service. I waited a bit for my appointment but everyone made sure I was ok.I also need some glasses adjusted and it was done with no hesitations.This is the only eye place for me.Kym H

A friend recommended them to me when they were in Wal-Mart, that was over 20 years ago. Everyone in the practice are really nice, knowledgeable and their prices are reasonable and they stand by there products and work with you if you have an issue. I had issues with some contacts and they took it them back and got me the different ones no problem. This practice as a whole has great patient service which is seriously lacking everywhere now. I wont go anywhere else, to me they are the best.

Very disappointing as I was told when I made my appointment that they accepted my insurance. The day of my appointment I asked again what will I owe, told only a copay of $40A year later I keep getting a bill for $200Sounds like a scam to me, will never go there again, better watch out

Dr. Onyon is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and willing to take the time to explain what he is doing and the results of your exam. I’m a former RN...and I trust his judgement. He, Steve, and all the office staff are person-centered and focus on the needs of their clients.

We saw Dr. Martin, who is newer to the office. Best bed side manner, he laughed and joked, but provided such a thorough exam, explained everything to me, went over pictures of my eye with me to help explain what was going on. He was patient and kind. We then sat with Steve who helped my daughter and I pick out glasses. He was also so funny, and made our visit quite enjoyable. 10/10 for Dr. Martin and Steve!Edit- definite communication issues with when glasses are ready. Never received a call that my daughters glasses were ready, I had to question after a month if they were in. I DID receive a call that my glasses were ready, only to get there, and they weren’t. Removing a star for that.

He explained what he was seeing in laymans terms that I could understand. I have been to many vision centers in my 64 years and I would rate Salem Vision as one of the best.

EVERY time my family comes here the staff are extremely friendly, appointments are ALWAYS confirmed by whichever means I choose. Exams are always explained... what when why how, then when picking out frames and lenses, they dont try to sell you the most expensive stuff they truly seem to want the best for you and to look your best! Service after the sale is just as great from a quick cleaning to a repair, always done with a friendly smile and never any hassle. I cant say enough good things about this place, are they the cheapest? No, but they have a superior product, staff and attitude and for that I am willing to pay a little more to get. Keep up the great work everyone I will be a customer for life there!

Called because I broke my glasses and needed new ones. Very friendly and accommodating. They were able to find frames that look better on me than the ones I had chosen. Doctor was great, also. I left with a fresh pair on my face and feeling really cared for.

I was obviously apprehensive given the state of things with COVID-19, but I was told that every machine is sanitized after each patient. All were wearing masks as was I. I was made to feel very comfortable and Dr. Martin was very aware and only came close for the needed examination of my eyes. This is my second visit to Dr. Martin and I am impressed with his professionalism but also his ability to have a relaxed conversation about my eyes as well as my general health. I will return to Salem Vision Center to see Dr. Martin.

There was an error in the prescription but it was corrected. Steve tho is good to deal.with. However I do not recommend this place.

Love this place and I’m glad I found them last year. The doctor is always attentive, never in a rush. The assistants are pleasant and make the other tests a breeze. The optical staff rocks. They love the inventory and go above and beyond to assist with selections. I brought my 17 year old son here and I have to say it was the most positive experience we have ever had with an optometrist/vision center. The people there were so kind and informative and helpful. The optomotrist was terrific, very thorough, very helpful. They worked with us yo find something that I could afford and that my son really loved. I will definitely go back and refer friends.

I was misdiagnosed with a stye here. Was given a prescription and everything. After a couple of days nothing was changing and it was getting worse. So 2 says later I went to Spindle Eye and was correctly diagnosed and treated with the right thing.

Everyone is so welcoming and caring. They Make you feel comfortable and really pay attention, answer all your questions and also make sure you look your absolute best in your glasses!

I went to the office just to pick out replacement frames. While looking, they verified with my insurance that I was eligible for an exam. They were able to squeeze me in so I didn’t have to come back and was able to order my new glasses with my updated prescription all at once! Great customer service and super convenient for me!! The whole office was very helpful in picking out new frames too!

Ive been going to Salem Vision Center for years. Dr. Onyon is great. Hes very gentle, personable, and explains information clearly. The staff are all super friendly and always encourage you to come in whenever for frame adjustments and such. When I got contacts a couple years ago, the optician was so patient and sat with me for a LONG time until I was comfortable putting them in and taking them out on my own. Great selection of frames at various price points as well.

Salem Vision Center thank you for your help today. I believe I found a new eye doctor thank you very much doctor Martin. I feel confident my glasses will fit well and Ill be able to see once again. They took time to help me identify my eye problems. Even got checked twice. My old glasses were so out of whack that the young man helping me with the fitting of my new glasses realized it was way off. So the doctor brought me in to check me again. I could not even believe what I was seeing when we got done. It was great!!! Thank you again. Cant wait for my new glasses.

It was my first time at Salem vision center this morning and the place was extremely clean and inviting! All of the employees I spoke with were all on point and friendly. From The time I walked in to the end of my appointment I was extremely satisfied and would recommend any of my friends and family. It was a very laid-back and relaxed environment which makes any person comfortable is what I loved about the entire experience. I dont usually leave reviews but I think this was well deserved!! I also got my first pairof prescription sunglasses which I am super excited for. Thank you Salem vision center.

Salem Eye Center staffs are pleasant, inviting, and even ensure you receive text reminders regarding your appointment. Dr. Martin is a very smart optometrist. He was efficient, thorough, and explanatory while conducting my eye exam. It was a pleasure having him as an optometrist and would refer him to others.

I suffered a painful eye injury. I called and Dr. Martin saw me right away. The moment I met him I felt better. He reassured me, numbed my eye, examined me and treated me. The pain was instantly alleviated as well as my anxiety. Hes awesome.

They are easy to deal with. Felt that they were honest and not pushy. I felt very comfortable there.

This place is a hidden gem. So relaxing to go to and the staff are all super friendly and knowledgeable. They saw me on short notice for an injury to my eye. The optimitrist there told me things about my eyes that no other eye doctor has ever mentioned. They also have the best selection of eyewear I have ever seen. Not your typical everyday optical place. I recommend Salem Vision Center very highly.7/30/19 UPDATE: Brought my kids in today for their first eye exams. Again the experience here was so far beyond any expectations I could’ve had. My four year old said to me later in the day: “I really like going to the eye doctors.” It doesn’t get any better than that. Again the staff was very knowledgeable about all their products and put no pressure on us to buy. I ended up with some Rudy Project sunglasses that have clip in Rx lenses so I can use them even when I’m wearing contacts as well as some new lightweight and flexible everyday glasses. Love this place!

I stopped in here with a friend once to pick up her glasses and fell in love with a pair of frames I noticed as I was browsing around. The staff was so welcining and could tell I was desperate for these frames. They squeezed me in for an appointment and made sure I had those frames the very next day with my updated prescription.
