I give FoodMaxx for stars because they were there for us when Safeway was not but I must say this revamp of theirs is very disturbing. They also have some really weird products in this store I dont know where theyve gotten it but I took a few photos of one in particular that would be 51fifty energy drink which is cute but if youve ever been 5150 is its not very funny well my mom and dad laughed so I guess it is, but I know for Dang sure it wasnt at the time ..Dootdedo. And a video of their revamp which makes it look like a BevMo type store which in this area around the Sebastopol Road area is not a good idea way too much booze already down here and like we really didnt need a whole Costco type store full of booze so thanks for that FoodMaxx and Im being facetious anyway again thanks for being there when no one else was. Usually packed with people but they have good prices

Usually the best for bulk with out paying for a membership. They have also been renovating the place and its really quite nice to get my food if you time your visit when its super busy.

After church on Sunday its always busy at the Santa Rosa Stony Point location, yet to wait for the checkout lines to reach half the distance of the main aileles to be so long from the front to go to the meat aileles is rediculous. The available staff still tries to be helpful and smiles are on their faces! Just wishing that when such a crowd is in the store there were more to work the register s too.

I am not a fan of this super market!A large market like this, seemed to me and it sure looked like they need to, they like, or is their rule to make their lines extend out for whatever reason! Customer Service?Ha! Forget about it!! Hardly any cashiers, the Checkout lines are Always going down back through the middle of the store.Its poorly, poorly stocked. Every time we have gone in there the store is ripped and there is never any variety meat out. The meat dept. is concerning... I stuck my head in the doors to look for a butcher and the place smelled like death. The place is very,very,dirty. There is no Safety being practiced for Covid 19 protocols. No hand sanitizer/ just a spray bottle ( everyone is bunched up by the door to grab)and the parking looks like a Swap-meet.Homeless people have overrun the parking lot making it undesirable to even wanna go there!!!!

We have been shopping at Foodmaxx bi-weekly for the last 5 years. At the beginning of COVID we werent allowed to bring in our re-usable bags, but for the last 6 months it has been okay. Until today.TRICIA made a big scene saying she couldnt touch our re-usable bags because she is immune-comprised. 2 things:1. It hasnt been an issue for the last couple of months, and even YOU have rung us up before and it wasnt an issue. Why now? Why today?2. WHY are you WORKING THE REGISTER and TOUCHING CASH (which is way worse than touching our re-usable grocery bags) if you are immune comprised?!?! Not a wise decision at all. On her part and Foodmaxxs part. She was the only register open. And guess what, im also immune compromised.Very horrible experience this morning. After declaring she couldnt touch our bags - I went on to say how this has never been an issue and what does she want us to do? She had no answer. I suggested having someone go get us plastic bags, she then handed us some from under her register. I continued to say how it was never an issue before as we started to re-bag all our stuff and then she walked away from the register and said she wouldnt service us because we were being rude, when really we were just in shock that she was making SUCH A SCENE when there has NEVER been an issue before. I asked for a manager, she lied and said there was no manager on duty. A few minutes later, the manager walked up and apologized for how she handled the situation and guess what... HE DID NOT SAY THAT WE COULDNT USE OUR REUSABLE BAGS. What he shouldve done, was take her off the register and check us out without making us take everything out of our reusable bags and put it into plastic bags.In addition to writing reviews, I plan on reaching out to corporate management about this, because it is really not okay. How she acted. How she treated us. She shouldnt be allowed to interact with customers. Terrible customer service. Worst experience we have had in the 5 years weve shopped there!!!So so upset and disappointed.Foodmaxx itself we would rate a 5 starThe experience we had today we rate a -4 star= 1 star review

Very dirty! Not usually like this. The cart had some kind of strawberry and whipped cream stuck in the side. Did not feel like it was healthy to be there. Changing my grocery shopping store even though will have to drive further.

While I am not a big fan of Huge Chain Stores, that only tend to carry National, or Regional Brands, there is a place for them and this decent one. They never, ever have enough checkers, so be ready for a bit of wait, but that aint too bad. The store is pretty clean and organized and they do carry many local and better brands of things with a lot of choices for such stores. They also have much better than average Produce department selection wise as well as quality. Good Store for what it is, but I would rather shop down Stony Point at Olivers ;~P

Was looking for beef kidneys and I found them there. They have a wide selection of products that arent at other locations.

Its like right down the street from me, so perfect location. However, there is always long lines in this store. When the self check is open you could possibly get in and out. But if your going in for alcohol forget it. While they have a huge selection the lines are so long, and as we all know you cant buy alcohol in the self check. They have great low prices on everything, but youll need to have the time and patience.

Lines were crazily long with only two cashiers open would have thought they would have been wanting to get a more faster pace of getting ppl out instead of having us cluster up like we all were lucky to be standing 2.5 ft to maybe 3ft apart and disappointed to not seeing the staff not well provided for on their own safety precautions like having with working with out customers face guard window.. can’t blame the employee for the lack of their company’s lack to show some a appreciation towards the workers that are there to keep their money flowing ... Prices are worth the drive. Quality of produce has greatly improved. Overall selection has also. Meats are OK. Bulk coffee is $7.99 a pound. Good selection of Hispanic and Asian foods. Get your toilet paper, cleaning products etc at Wal Mart however. Quality of service (payroll?) seems to be on the decline. Cant have everything I guess.

Foodmaxx is the best store with the best prices and the best employees

Food Max on Sebastopol Road is large and well stocked with most of the items I go to shop there for. Except that one elusive item. Ok they cant always have everything I need.Be aware that once evenings hit they Close the door with the huge ENTER sign on it at the North East corner of the building and you have to enter through the EXIT doors by the cash registers. Its not a big deal but itd be nice if they put a sign up telling that the entry door is closed and to use the exit door. Or just use the exit door all the time.

This is for ROSS not Foodmax I never go to Foodmax. ....,..............If youve ever gone to Ross and found that perfect thing.. its like a drug... Youll be chasing that first high forever. This is a very big Ross so take your time look slowly and carefully, go though all the sizes once you get done with your section move on to the bigger and smaller sizes. I cant count how many come ups Ive gotten from looking in the xxxx-L section. Ditto for shoes and ditto for some electronics. Ross is like the yuppie equivalent of panning for gold... Gotta sift through alot of s#/+ but youll almost always get something good.

Today was poor to find some vegetables.No broccoli, zuquini, rabanos and basil.So bad was my shopping day. But I notice they are doing changes.

I have to give it 4 stars because it is big with a ton of stuff. Good selection of items. Great for shoes (womens) and dresses. However, the prices are getting out of hand, its like someone should remind Goodwill they are getting this stuff for free, why so greedy?!

It has been my experience that FoodMaxx is a good store where all of the staff attempt to do their best and give good service to their customers including carry-out. The produce clean. The meats are good, lots of choices of pork, then beef and a large chicken selection. Packaged deli food is all good. Nice organic food section. Excellent frozen food section. Good blue tag sales. I can save at least $100 on the purchase of groceries vs. Raleys or Safeway if I shop carefully. I gave 4 stars because they dont get their dairy out fast enough & it is dated.

Its FoodMax. I wouldnt buy from the meat department, but the produce is usually pretty good, and they have fair prices on everything else. Unfortunately the staff is not always friendly and the store could be cleaner but other than that its OK. I give them three stars.

I was in the midst of moving and needed boxes. I walked in and the young lady was extremely helpful when I asked for the boxes even though l only grabbed a few boxes because most of them were cut up. Surprisingly good selection for a lower pricing grocery store. Can still get most of my gluten free, local and organic options. Carries a whole selection of health foods including the clover organic lines. Well organized but VERY busy on certain days of the year. Saves about $80 off my big shopping trips so worth the wait.

There was only one line for cashiers and one for self check.. it ran down the middle of the store and if you were following the six foot rule, you had to go down an aisle and then go back to get to the next idle because the lines were blocking the whole middle of the store.. ridiculous. Snd meat prices are unacceptable. They dont have A grade beef. Prices are double what they were 5 months ago

I have shopped Food Max for a long time. The produce is fresh. Poultry and meat great price. The stores are always clean and the staff helpful.

Bulk foods, baked goods, long meat counter, dairy, eggs, deli items, Asian & Hispanic specialty goods, cookware, herbs, spices, baking supplies, candy, beverages, frozen foods, grooming supplies, beer, water, liquor, breads, and roasted chickens @ $5.99! Yum. Semi-warehouse style, always busy, open 6a.m.-2a.m.. My favorite local market. Lots of merchandise, selections.

Like that their open until 2:00am even on sundays..There are good deals to be found, the employees are helpful and pleasant...I’ve only shopped here once but I’m definitely going back.. there’s a good variety of items in most categories..the carts are huge though hard to maneuver the aisles are wide though! Lol!

If you like rotten food. And food from China. Meat from Canada. That tastes bad. and you know how to cook from these things while you might be onto something. The people who work there good luck. How do you say they work in the Union and they dont need to help you. For the prices theyre supposed to be comparable to those in town I find them the most expensive. But they do have some things that they other stores dont. I think the stores do this so you have to shop around but it waste a lot of fuel.

First off its a store where there are better times to shop early and late are the best times to go. Their prices are pretty good .They have average to below average meat. prices are high and quality is fair to poor. I bought a pork shoulder looked great when I bought it took it home and put it in the fridge 2 days later the meat had some green spots on it . this is the second time within 6 months.

Very cheap on vegetables and very easy to shop even though during busy periods it takes a while to be served but they are still the BEST in Santa Rosa.

I like to visit FoodMaxx for almost all my shopping needs I hit my steaks all my knee and very good price and they always have very good quality. And if I cant find something there always willing to help me. If I have a coupon and I dont know how to use it or Ive even have them go out of their way to put the codes in and did give me the help that is necessary to make me a satisfied customer I give Food Maxx and food for less a definite thumbs up all the way.

They have some really really good deals on food. I just think you need to be careful and check every expiration date. But you can get some super great deals and thats a fact. Really comes in handy if youre trying to feed a huge family

Prices for produce are great...Their meat dept. is a little pricey and same with their dairy but in general you can save some $$ if your selective with what you purchase there. They are open 24 hours so that can be very convenient... I recommend not shopping there during normal business hours between the 1st and 5th of the month, the lines are super long and your dodging little kids constantly.

Bummer its not 24 hrs anymore. They have some marinated meat for cooking Mexican food in the cold raw meat section that is inexpensive and delicious. Sliced thin for fajitas and what not.
