The customer service here always impresses me. They are fair, honest and friendly. We have been bringing all of our vehicles here since 2012.

I made it at 5oclock and were able to look and diagnose the problem. I had a quote with in minutes. State of the art wheel alignment machine...great attitudes. I was impressed to say the least. I will forever bring my cars there. Definitely made a stressful situation dissipate with in minutes. Thank you guys and gals.

Timothy and the crew did an awesome job installing a new full exhaust for me from the headers all the way back and their pricing was more than reasonable. The communication was also very good throughout the entire process.

I needed a repair about a month after the warranty expired, but they still took care of it without charging me and did it with smiles. Always friendly, fair prices, its my go to shop and this warranty repair was a good reminder of why.

Great service! Came in not sure what was wrong. Had had a muffler put on my truck over a year ago and now was extra loud! Turns out something came loose and they took a look and fixed it up right away! A+++! Excellent work and customer service!

Very professional staff and very honest !!! I recieved a quote for an exhaust system. When the work was completed, the mechanic discovered that I did not need some of the parts we ordered because they were not defective and they took 200 plus off the bill due to unnecessary parts, they could of easily kept the parts and charged me the original quote.I was very impressed with their honesty and the quality of their work! They deserve 10 stars and they just earned a loyal customer!!

I come all the way from Chicago to get repairs done at Mcinnis. Knowledgeable, professional, honest and fast working staff. I was very lucky to be reffered to them. Will remain loyal customer as long as i drive.

To be honest this is my first time typing a review about anything. I feel its completely necessary for everybody on here reading this to TAKE THEIR VEHICLE SOMEWHERE ELSE. I came to them from a friend’s referral and really wanted to be a regular here. Everyone seemed so nice (before I got hung up on). I think everyone would agree that your vehicle should come out of a shop the same way it came in. Especially if it means TURNING YOUR KEY TO START YOUR CAR. I came here to have a check engine light turned off by putting a new fuel sensor in my vehicle ($230). I got a phone call from Tim Jr. saying “everything went smoothly, except now I can’t turn your key manually to start your car... I could only start it by using your remote start.” He attempted to fix it, but suggested I come back another day so they had a full day with my vehicle to make the situation right. I took another Saturday off to drop off my vehicle, and they couldn’t get the job done, AGAIN. The owner Tim Sr. suggested I bring it to another business to see if they can fix it and then have that owner give them a call the following Monday. It took 6 hours of labor to find/correct the issue. $480 later I took that bill to McInnis. They called me later to let me know they’re not charging me for the fuel sensor service ($230), but they won’t be covering my bill of my vehicle not starting. HOW IS THAT FAIR??? Basically I’m stuck paying $250 more than I should have. They claimed they had nothing to do with that part of my vehicle and it just happened by CHANCE. As a business owner myself, you should show some integrity and be fair when a problem like this occurs. If they had nothing to do with my vehicle not starting, then they would have never had me not pay for my service. On top of that... after disagreeing with me over the phone, the owner’s wife hung up on me. 🤦‍♂️I’ll be more than happy to take this review down if McInnis just makes the situation right. What’s fair is charging me for my original service ($230) and paying the difference of the $480 bill I was hit with for a problem I never had before I brought my truck in there. THAT is what’s fair.

I take all my cars here. From my 1993 Buick to now my new 2019 (when it starts needing repairs) Super helpful and experienced. Will be back anytime my cars need it. Also I trust their recommendations for repairs that they are unable to do, such as body work

I was in total panic after my car got stuck in reverse. I could just barely get my gears to shift into drive. I had called more times than I want to share, but every time they helped calm me down and made sure I got to the shop safely. They got me in right away and figured out the issue within 30 minutes. Although I had to leave my car over night they had it ready quickly the next day. Explaining it simply, and answering my questions. Everyone here is great, I will be back again for more work. Its a good feeling knowing you arent being jerked around, or charged through the roof.

Someone stole my catalytic converter while I was working over night. I drove straight to this shop. They got my car right in and took care of the problem. They even gave me suggestions for future work that will need to be done- including several ways to save me money! Cant complain about shops that do that. Staff is friendly and dont talk down to people. A bonus:-)

McInnis auto repair and McInnis muffler and brakes are two of the best shows in the area. I took my car in for just a routine alignment and they advised me of a few other concerns but were not pushy in the least. They are an experienced, ethical shop.

McInnis is the best for all of your auto repairs! They fixed my HHR when nobody else could. They were very kind and considerate about my problems with my car. I had spent over $600 at a car dealership and I still had a car that wasnt fixed. I would recommend McInnis to everyone!

In a nutshell, the place is tops in NWI. If you want to take your vehicle to a family owned and operated shop where the owner is hands on and gets his hands dirty and operates the old fashion way (with integrity)? Then McInnis brake and muffler is the place to go. If you want to take your chances and go elsewhere, good luck.

My exhaust broke and I was unsure if my vehicle was safe to drive. I was able to call and explain my problem and send the staff a photo of my issue which they used to help diagnose and estimate the needed repair. Even though they were booked with appointments they told me to go ahead and drop off my vehicle and they would get it worked in! Fair and affordable pricing with great service!

Who likes going to get their car repaired but this place is great and really takes care of the customer and does good work. I highly recommend them.

Took my car in for brakes. The tech broke a knob on the interior of the car and didnt bother to tell me. The lady who answered the phone seemed to be bothered by my call, but didnt really care. Who knows what else is not correct or they broke under the car. I thought this place was the same owner as the other Mcinnis shop, its not. Save yourself the hassle and irritation and go to the other location.

Was told I needed to replace my rear axle from another shop, McGinnis saved me over$600 by running diagnosis and said my car was within specs.

They got it wrong and issued a refund after I brought it up, but Tim treated me like I was stealing from him and like it was I that did something wrong ( not the other way around). Not impressed. Very unlikely that I will bring a vehicle here again .
