Im a Air Force veteran going through a very rough time in my life. I literally just bought a van for $800 bucks to live out of. After a few days, the vans transmission kept slipping out of gear, so I gave Mike a call (the owner) and he was happy to see the vehicle that same day. The owner and all his well seasoned employees know their stuff when it comes to transmissions and automotive servicing/ repairs. Mike has 30yrs experience and is super down to earth!!! Other shops send him work because he knows his (poop) and a plethora of automotive work. He worked with me one-on-one and gave me great service and at a steal! I also liked how Mike is extremely reasonable and honest! Everytime I called ANOTHER SHOP, for XYZ, they wanted to charge me premium ($,$$$). This place is a Godsend! Moving around with the Air Force finding a local mechanic that is honest, trustworthy and overall reasonable prices at every location we moved to was very important. Now that I retired and moved to Schertz I was looking for that one mechanic that felt right. Mike at A Better Transmission and Automotive exceeded my expectations. Mike was able to replace my front rotors and brake pads at a very reasonable price and excellent turnaround. I highly recommend him and his mechanic shop if you are looking for great service from an honest shop.

All I can say is wow!!! Absolutely the best group of guys working on my truck. I had my 1995 Dodge Ram 2500 come in for a small job, just battery end terminals turned out to be the problem. After that, I brought in my 2001 Ford Ranger for a problem with the transmission. They rebuilt it with top quality parts and when I got into my truck it felt like a whole different vehicle. I have to hand it to Rex and Mike, they did a fantastic job fixing my truck. Couldnt be happier. Will be using this shop from now on for sure. Thank you guys!
