Cool customer service but didn’t allow me to view my vehicle while it was being worked on which made me feel a way and then they ended up putting a quart and a half more oil then it needed which makes me think his worker never looked at the dip stick….. so I had to go pay somewhere else close by to reduce it so it wouldn’t damage my car…. And no I don’t want the money for the draining it’s just principle

Poor customer care and price negotiation.

I went in for an oil change and there was a coupon for basic oil change for $24.99. I opted for that option. In my experience no matter the type of oil change, fluid too off is included (wiper fluid etc). Unfortunately after trying to use my windshield wipers with fluid after receiving my car there was no fluid to use. I went in to inquire why they hadn’t topped of my fluids and was told that’s not included. Just literally changing oil, I have never had that experience in all my time getting oil changes. I was told by the women at the desk that because I didn’t pay for the $41 oil change nothing is included an oil change. Tl inquired as to I thought standard oil change procedure was to top off fluids. This is disappointing to say the least considering this business is within walking distance of my home and would have been nice to have a nice place, close by that I can have my car serviced at. $2 worth of wiper fluid is only included in a $41 conventional oil change? I won’t be returning simply due to the lack of explanation when it comes to services offered as well as a lack of customer service when asked why. I recommend just going to your local Jiffy Lube where you know what’s going on.

The manager and employees are kind and welcoming, and they are very transparent with me about maintenance and repairs needed for my car. I have found them to be trustworthy and reliable, and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend to anyone around Silver Spring.

They moved across the street temporarily. It would have been great if they indicated that on the the website so that you could plan accordingly.Abel greeted me when I arrived. Wearing a mask, he was very friendly and apologetic about the move (a little). But, very nice, professional and talkative. They started on my car pretty much right away, and I was nearly the only person there...which made me believe they were respecting social distancing. They covered my steering wheel floor and seat with protective materials.I am happy with their professionalism and the service I recieved from this shop. I have a big Mercedes and was concerned about the type of oil they were using. Im not sure I am 100% satisfied with their response to this query, but, they did use synthetic high performance oil. I wish they are better prepared to respond to the next customer.

Fantastic service, they did a great job on my car and surprisingly fast. I came in because my car was making some really loud noises the converter was causing this loud clunky sound. They took care of me and gave me all the details on the repairs. 10/10 service keep up the good work.

Terrible, no stars. I booked an online appointment, received an email and text messages confirming the appointment. I wrote in the comments section of the appointment the reason I was making the appointment, I arrived at the shop at the time of the appointment only to learn that the shop had relocated. Drove to the new spot, was about one block away, only to find it was closed, my appointment was for 730 am and the employee showed up after I had already been there waiting for 20 mins, only to inform me that they do not offer the service I made the appointment for. All this after emails and text messages confirming the appointment and also the reason I made the appointment was clearly written in the comments section. SMH.

Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and professional care that Meineke Car Care Center provided. I felt much more like family than a customer, and was impressed by the quality and courtesy follow-up. This is the local place you want your vehicle serviced!

Great service trustworthy my go to for car repair

The manager is so rude. He does not listen to the customer trusting to explain their problem regarding there car. I dad a service car warrant he was try to over talk me . I had to call my warrant company threee time to LE them hear him on the phone how rude and nasty he was. So I doubt if they will be using your location anymore.

I came in for an oil change. The guy I talked with was friendly and polite. They quickly changed my oil and I was on my way in less than an hour.

We have used Meineke of Silver Spring for 9 years for maintenance and repairs on our cars. They are always accommodating, attentive, and do a great job. Very trustworthy and conscientious.

The are operating out of the Aamco building across the street. Everytime I visit, everyone is very pleasant. They show you what needs to be repaired before any work is done are prices are reasonable. Online booking makes scheduling an appointment quick and easy.

They fit me in at the last minute the day after new year’s to fix a tire with a nail in it. They also found a small screw in another tire that didn’t need fixing. Very professional, nice to deal with. I would go there again.

Nice facilities, awesome staff make this a great place to go to for quality service at reasonable prices. Highly recommended!!!

The manager, Abel, was extremely attentive, understanding, and professional. My vehicle needed a Cylinder-3 Misfire repair and I had an appointment to be somewhere else in a few hours.He made sure that it was done in an appropriate time, in order for me to make it. I’m new to the Silver Spring area, so this definitely made life easier. I recommend this Auto Repair shop.I also want to make you aware that they’ve moved adjacent from their previous location(next to the firehouse), so just be aware of that. Great price for a full synthetic oil change, tire rotation and wheel balancing from their groupon ad. Every employee was professional and courteous. They even put on my steering wheel cover for me at no charge. Will definitely return!!!

My experience was wonderful. The owner greeted me when I arrived. He wrote up my order and provided the estimated cost for the oil change. He told me tha my vehicle would be ready in an hour to an hour and a half. He called me when the vehicle was ready and it was in record time. I highly recommend the downtown Silver Spring Meineke for car service. Abel and his team provide excellent customer service and quality work!

I hate when businesses use Groupon and then try to find a way to charge you more money. My car takes 5 quarts of oil to run, however, it can hold up to 5.5 quarts of oil. When I officially made the appointment I was told I would have to pay more for a filter. This was the warning that we are going to charge you more than the Groupon. If you don’t like the fee that Groupon has then maybe you should try another form of marketing. Adem’s approach “do you want the service or not” is not a very professional way to ask. No I don’t want the service from you, however, I do NEED to get it done. This is the one time I wish I didn’t procrastinate because I would have gotten my money back.

Silver Spring Manager & Technicians are always professional and timely.

The service took an hour and 15 minutes. My only complaint is that there is not a waiting area with seats so I would not come to this location again. But the quality of the work was fine.

First and last time getting an oil change at a meineke. Your website makes it clear what all oil change packages come with. I got the full synthetic and the attendant argued with me about if a tire rotation was included. Wanted to charge an additional $20. Also when I mentioned I had a coupon (also from their website) The price was altered to the rate it always is, and I wasnt offered an itemized receipt after paying. Im going to stick to Jiffy Lube, no shady practices and the customer service is always above and beyond.

I’ve been going to the Meineke on Georgia Ave since I moved to MD and I have no complaints. The manager is really nice and professional and the mechanics always do a great job on my car and work quickly. I have no complaints.

Every time I bring my car for oil change and repair. I’m never turned away even without an appointment. The service is quick. Everyone is so nice; front desk administration and mechanics. I’m grateful for the good quality of service. Most of all, I go to this shop because they are honest and will never try to reap you off. They know what they are doing and give professional advice. Super fast service and fair price

Fast, friendly and reasonably price auto service. My go to auto shop when the dealer quotes some ridiculous price. I’ve used them to front and rear brake replacement on two cars and coolant hose replacement and front suspension on my SUV.

Great service. I couldn’t get a ride home so i just waited in the waiting room and braced myself for a two hour wait and it took significantly less than that. I got my car back in about 50 minutes and with tv they have, it went by quickly. My car got its oil changed and tire rotated with top off.

The manager, Able, was very professional and courteous. He allowed me extra time to locate the business. I was contacted from start to completion of the diagnosis and costs.The mechanics pointed out items, which Honda completely overlooked. Things such as a completely dirty, moldy, and wet cabin air filter. College Park Honda stated it would take days to get a replacement part in stock. Meineke and the mechanics completed my vehicle in hours.

I purchased a Groupon for an oil change at this location for $19 and set up an appointment online. When I arrived, I was told that the Groupon I purchased was up falsely and they would not accept it. They did not work with me to offer a similar price due to the misleading listing (which they were aware of), instead telling me that an oil change would be a minimum of $40, which increased to $65 when they found out my car has mileage. A different location in the area has significantly lower prices and I will be taking my business there.

First-time experience here was a good one. They received me at the appointment on time explained to me carefully what was happening with the brakes my car. They were okay with me accepting and rejecting some recommendations. I appreciated the honesty and I I have returned since for full service because of it. My car braking system feels so much better as a result.

My husband and I brought our Mini Cooper in for an oil change (didn’t even know they serviced out make), and we were in and out in under 2 hours without an appointment. They even clamped down an exhaust hose that had come a loose, and was visible from the front of the car, at no extra charge. Excellent customer service!

Very poor management! I would not recommend this auto shop to anyone. I took my car in for an oil change and not even three weeks later I’ve noticed that I have absolutely no oil in my car due to an oil filter that was not on tight enough. After calling to report what had taken place the “manager” inquired that I must have loosen it myself and refused to fix it or even take a look at it. Not to mention, there is absolutely no COVID-19 protocol. (Not a single employee had on a mask)

I went for simple AC charge for BMW 650i and ended up with a $200 bill and my AC was made worst. I tried to explain to the desk manager set the AC charge between 30 to 55 psi. They filled the psi to 100+! My advice is don’t take your cars there!

Extremely polite both on the phone and in person. The technician spoke with honesty and clarity. For some reason, this is super rare these days. I had also gotten a couple of quotes from a few places prior to taking my car here and I can definitely say that it was much cheaper and much more efficient to come to Meineke.

They were friendly but did not really provide any information- I had to ask if everything was fine if anything additional was needed. I also used a groupon but still ended up paying $30. I was told there would be an additional fee but $96 for a synthetic oil change is crazy. I’ll just take my car to the Lexus dealership for that price and get all the bells and whistles!

Brought my car in two weeks ago for an oil change and when I returned home I noticed there was damage to it that was not there before! I wish I had noticed before leaving the shop.But I immediately called the shop and informed the guy at the desk and he said let me check with the mechanic. He came back and said the mechanic says the damage was already there. Of course hes going to say that. And really, he remembered eh? Two deep parallel scratches didnt happen from a car door in a parking lot, or accident with another vehicle. Not sure what happened, but it happened while in their hands.So they said bring the car back in to have a look and well discuss. Really, I thought the mechanic was sure the damage was already there? No way. After what happened, I do not trust them. Even if they offered to fix the damage for free (which I doubt), I dont trust them not to do something else to the car. Two parallel deep scratches are a few hundred dollars to fix according to my online research. Real shame.

This location did have any professional COVID safety cleaning protocols in place for my car. I had to clean my own car with handicap-wipes and hand sanitizer they provided. This is unexceptionable.

Park in the back. Walk inside from the back. This place is professional and do good work. They stay busy so drop your car off and walk around downtown Silver Spring. So many shops and restaurants. I had an oil change and tire rotation. Will use them again for every service I need.

While visiting Silver Spring discovered we had Flat tire in garage of hotel. Following a USAA referral we had car towed here.They called with recommendations which were right on target with what we thought at a very reasonable cost. Rotated and balanced tires also. Car was ready in about two hours.

I was googling different auto shops to take my vehicle to and this one came up. Very convenient if you live in Silver Spring. I highly recommended them if you need an Oil Change. Excellent Customer Service!

They were polite, changed my oil in about 2.5 hours and identified that my air filtered needed to be changed as well. They didn’t do the additional work without my consent and called me to confirm whether I was interested in them doing the work. This is my 2nd time using them and I will go back to them next time I need an oil change!

I took my car to get a standard oil change and Meineke did a great job. I dropped my car off and they were done in the exact time frame they estimated. The car was returned clean and I’ll use this place again.

I have a 1999 Plymouth grand voyager. The car has 180xxx miles and was experiencing a check engine light one two different occasions. The first time it was due to a faulty egr valve and hose. The manager Mr. Abel was very kind and routinely updated me on every step on of my repair. The repair was quality, the price was reasonable and my time and business was genuinely appreciated. On my second occasion, my vehicle was experiencing an engine miss. Although I was an hour late for my appointment, the staff was very friendly and they still accepted me. Service was fast and efficient, again. The correct part was quickly installed, and needless to say my ride became very smooth. The price for parts was similar to aftermarket retail store prices and the labor costs were reasonable. I would recommend this service shop to anyone. They do not over sale you or try to convince you to receive unnecessary services. Awesome job guys!!!!

Great Service. I had my breaks done. The timeline provided by the manager for completion of the service was right on. Explained all services needed and total cost prior to starting the work.

I had a scheduled oil change on recently at the 8220 Georgia Ave. location. I appreciate the front desk technician explaining exactly how many quarts of oil my vehicle would need. While the wait would be 90 minutes, I stepped offsite to eat nearby. At just before 90 minutes later, the tech called to let me know it was done. I appreciated that very much.Oil was changed. I forgot to ask for a tire rotation, but I saw the list of common services and saw its a separate service. Some Meineke locations make it as part of an oil change at no cost. But at least my oil change was done and this was a much better experience than at the location at 15127 Frederick Rd. in Rockville, which resulted in me not getting my oil changed last week.

Ridiculous prices. Really feel like they took advantage of me. Meineke in College Park is great though.Update: for context, they checked and changed my battery. 1 month later, new battery is dead. Clearly either did a shoddy job installing, or told me I needed a new battery when there was some other underlying issue.

This would be a perfectly adequate garage for basic services if only they respected their customers time. Unfortunately, it is only a good place to go if you want to waste a few hours :) I have been overgenerous with giving this place a second and even a third chance, but am out of patience. Dont bother making an appointment, since it doesnt mean anything to this shop!

I’ve been going to this location for routine service for over 3 years.The staff has always been pleasant, I’m in and out in a timely manner, and unlike some service centers they’re not looking for ways to increase the bill with unnecessary services.

I was given an appointment and a price over the phone to get my brakes replaced. I came in and they changed the price on me, $60 more than we he told me. He said he gave me an idea of what the price would be. Ridiculous service, wouldn’t recommend.

I left my vehicle (BMW 525i 2005) to receive basic oil and filter change, after free consultation with front desk, I upgrade my request, and I came back one happy customer. I had the following services done: Tune-up, Tires check, Oil Change, Battery, Air Conditioning, Radiator/Cooling System, Wheel Alignment and Brakes. From the time that I left my vehicle and pick up, the turnaround time was great. Price with all mentioned works done, by far was very reasonable. During pick up, the owner walked me through, he was hands on, and gave me all the necessary details. I have finally found the spot where I get my regular service. I highly recommend this location, for all service related work, job well done!!!
