I recently bought a BMW X7 from BMW of Silver Spring. Scott Sohn was by sales representative. We did most of the negotiations online and he was very transparent about the whole process. He never pushed me towards anything and ultimately we were able to come to a very reasonable conclusion regarding the final deal. I have had some bad experiences in my life regarding car dealerships but Scott was one of the most professional sales person I have met. I felt he would always put my interest first, knowing that it would also benefit him in the end. The pinnacle of a good salesman. When our whole family came in to the dealership for the new car, he was so kind and nice to my wife and children. He shared stories about his family also.In short, my experience with Scott was all business with high professional standards but with a human touch. I truly appreciated the whole experience.

I’ve been a loyal customer of BMW Silver Spring for 6 years. I’ve always been satisfied with the service here until today. I’ve purchased two vehicles here and had all of my service needs taken care of here. My current vehicle was purchased around March 2021. I decided to trade in for a newer model. I explicitly asked my sales people to ensure that I had complimentary service/maintenance packages for the new vehicle as the trade in. I walked away a fairly happy customer until today. Today I walk in to have services completed and I asked about replacing my windshield wipers which were faulty since I purchased my “certified” vehicle. I never made a fuss about it and figured I’d just simply have them replaced at my first maintenance appointment. I was told by my service advisor (new guy but very nice guy, Grant) that not only would the wipers not be covered, but that I also only had maintenance coverage from the date the vehicle was purchased by the original owner, not the date that I purchased. I was also informed that my package did not include brakes and rotors, which was included in my previous purchase. This means that I’ll be spending close to 3K when it’s time to get my brakes replaced. This was NEVER explained to me before today. Had I known that, I would have made different decisions. This is not what I thought that I was walking away with. From what I learned today, this has recently happened to other customers as well… not right!!! I feel bamboozled and deceived by BMW Silver Spring. I trusted this location and now feel that I was tricked just to get another car off of the lot. I’m angry. This is not right. This is not good customer service! It’s disappointing for a dealership that aggressively pursues customers to leave Good reviews and rates the value of their employees by ratings as well. I’ve always given these folks high remarks. I never thought I’d be in this situation.

My wife and I were looking for a newer CPO BMW M550i, we had a line on one at another BMW dealership in Alexandria, but it was purchased before we could make arrangements to get there to make the deal. So we started a web search and found a 2019 BMW M550i xDrive at BMW of Silver Spring with all of the accoutrements we were looking for. We contacted the dealership via their website and web chat app and found that the M550i was indeed available. We made an appointment for the next day (Saturday), and shortly thereafter, received a confirmation phone call from one of the sales associates, Harold Shelby. He was extremely polite and helpful in making our appointment. Having to drive almost two hours to reach the dealership, Mr. Shelby met us and had the vehicle ready for inspection and a test drive when we arrived. Mr. Shelby is a consummate sales professional, very knowledgeable of his products, almost uncomfortably honest (which was refreshing, since many car buying experiences feel so slimy) and his personal and professional integrity is unsurpassed. We have purchased many vehicles over the years and I can say without hesitation, BMW of Silver Spring surpassed our car buying expectations and that is a hard thing to do. Overall, Mr. Shelby represented us well during and after the sale. Our only complaint was the long wait to get through finance, although it was no fault of the dealership, as they were short handed that day due to illness. This way was awesome. I highly recommend this dealership especially new & used BMWs.

I could go to any BMW dealer and purchase a BMW. I just recently completed a test drive (2021 X4). In a couple months my wife and I will be headed to Silver Spring BMW to lease our 4th BMW in 10 years, with Lonnie. From the start, I’ve appreciated Lonnie’s direct no nonsense way of doing business, and Ive been leasing from him ever since. Lonnie has always been straight forward, and I trust doing business with him. As far as BMW’s I will always continue to do business with Lonnie. This review is strictly on the sales department. I went to try to purchase a 540, we came to an impasse. Later, I realized my numbers were inaccurate. I called and expressed my sincere apology’s for the way I feel I left. I told the sales manager that I was still on the market and that we could try to reinitiate the negotiations, he said we will reach out later that day. They never reach out, I moved on and purchased from Fairfax BMW at a better price and experience. I will not nor recommend anyone of my friends and family here. Sorry, and I know they probably replied to this review with their typical response. No, I will not reach out to you general manager. Train more people skills to your employees.

My experience was outstanding and it’s because of Harold Shelby. The Costco Auto Program designated BMW of Silver Spring as the dealership for me and Im so thankful they did. From the very beginning, Harold didn’t act like a salesman, he acted like a friend. He made me feel comfortable, and he was attentive, informative, dependable and patient, always having my best interest in mind. Since picking up my car, he has been available to me every time I’ve contacted him, and every time he has been patient and has taken care of my needs. He truly has gone above and beyond my expectations and I can’t thank him enough.

This is an incredible dealership! I visited on a Sunday (yes they were open on Sunday) and negotiated a deal. They were unable to get the vehicle we agreed upon since it was at another dealership but the manager called me and quickly found another vehicle which during COVID was no easy task! They had it trailered up to the dealership within a day and were able to meet the tight deadline I had since I was going out of town. I was able to get in and out of the dealership within 1 hour with plates, registration, and electronic copies of the signed documents on a thumb drive. This is by far the best dealership I have ever been to and the experience was awesome from the moment I walked in to the moment I left with the car. They honored the initial deal we made and went well out of their way to find a very specific car with all the options I wanted. All the paperwork was executed electronically and they even picked plates to match the color of the car. I will definitely be back for my next car!

I first spoke with him over the phone and he told me what he could and couldnt do, was honest and forthright about things, which is what eventually made me go with BMW of Sliver Spring.I had a wonderful experience with Nate as he showed me different options while at his desk, explained the car to me, and showed me various items in the actual car. Best BMW team in the DC, MD, VA area (and Ive been to several). The ENTIRE experience at BMW Silver Spring was exceptional. My BMW experience started with Scott Sohn, Client Advisor/Sales at BMW Silver Spring. Scott was extremely courteous, knowledgeable, patient, and attentive with all of my questions. Most of our conversations took place outside of the dealership making it easier for me so I didnt have to drive in. I found Scott still answering my questions on his day off! Additionally, he helped me build a fantastic looking BMW X3M. Next I met with Sales Manager Max Moyer who was very helpful and assisted Scott and me with pricing my new vehicle to an amount I was comfortable with. Usually after agreeing to a car and price, you sign the paperwork and youre done. However, my wife and I had the privilege to work with Finance Manager, Gen Awanohara. Gen was another extremely knowledgeable and patient staff member. My wife and I had a lot of questions and Gen expertly answered everything as well as gave us tips on how best to finance our new BWM! We came out feeling comfortable with our financing decision. Finally, BMW Genius, Sheriff Akeju who expertly explained all of the ins and outs of our car was icing on the cake. There are a TON of features on the new 2022 BMW X3M that seemed daunting. Sheriff patiently explained everything from the instrument panel all the way through to the mobile app. There were no questions Sheriff couldnt answer. I left BWM Silver Spring with a lot more knowledge and confidence that I understood all of the bells and whistles of my new car. The entire team demonstrated that they have passion for the product they sell and the service they provide. I couldnt recommend a better BMW dealer. What Lonnie did not know was that just prior to reaching his desk, I has stopped at several dealerships, shopped online and arrived to him from the next door competition. Once I met Lonnie and told him what I was interested in, he pulled up all the documents and immediately began to accommodate my interest He worked with a personal care and a sense of urgency to my interest to make it happen. After a few minutes of working with him, I felt like we had met before and were friends. I am very pleased for the service and glad it was Lonnie who assisted me. I could not have had a better sales rep. In fact the entire crew there was a class act, from the Aaron the finance manager to Joanna the Sales manager. They all played a part in me walking out with the vehicle I wanted and feeling like I had a great car buying experience.
